We had the most incredible Valentine’s Night at Xixón Spanish Restaurant! ❤️✨ From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was warm, elegant, and full of authentic Spanish charm. The food was absolutely delicious — every dish was beautifully presented and packed with rich, traditional flavors that truly transported us to Spain. The service was attentive and welcoming, making the entire evening feel special and memorable. What made the night unforgettable was the live concert by Raúl González. His performance was simply breathtaking. The passion, energy, and artistry he brought to the stage had the entire room captivated. It wasn’t just dinner — it was a full cultural experience. We were truly impressed! If you’re looking for an authentic Spanish dining experience in Miami with amazing food, ambiance, and live entertainment, Xixón is the place to go. We can’t wait to come back! 🇪🇸🎶✨ Follow me on Instagram Best food in Miami & the 🌎 To be featured contact me IG: @reneperdigon ✉️ [email protected] 📍MIA / since 1995
We first visited Xixón in 2019 and had an exceptional experience. Recently, we decided to return and see whether anything had changed — and we were pleasantly surprised. The restaurant did not disappoint. Everything was just as we remembered it. Our server, Armando, exceeded all expectations. He was attentive without being intrusive, recommended an excellent wine, and even assisted us with the paella by cleaning the seafood shells — a thoughtful touch that elevated the entire experience. The food was outstanding, consistent with the quality we remembered from 2019. We would highly recommend Xixón to anyone who appreciates authentic Spanish cuisine.
Xixio Restaurant offers a fantastic dining experience with beautifully prepared dishes and great attention to detail. The flavors are well balanced, the ingredients feel fresh and high quality, and the presentation is excellent. The atmosphere is elegant yet relaxed, and the service is attentive without being intrusive. A great spot for a memorable meal — highly recommended!
I sat at the bar and the ambiance was excellent from the moment I walked in. Special shout out to Christian, the bartender, who took such great care of us and made the experience feel personal. The food was amazing and the drinks were superb. What was meant to be a quick outing turned into something so very special. We will definitely be back. Highly recommend.
This is one of the best restaurant for Paella. We loved it and it was very delicious. We also ordered eggs with potatoes and fried chickpeas and both were good as well.
Great Ambiance inside with a wine cellar nice bar area and indoor seating. They updated the outdoor seating which was reserved for a private event when we came. Everything we had to eat was great, I would have just liked to have had more vegetarian options on the menu.
Good food, good service in a nice atmosphere it has a $35.00 menu during weekdays I believe is until 3:00 PM
100% Recommended 👍 One of the best Spanish Restaurants in Miami. The food is delicious, the staff super professional, friendly and the atmosphere is great. Very nice tables, seats and decoration 🔥 And in top of that, they have a lot of Spanish Products 💪 Love it ❤️
This is the place to have Spanish tapas in Miami. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. Outside looked like a great time, there was live music. They have a large menu with plenty of choices. Great selection of wine. We did a pitcher of sangria which turned out to be a great choice for us. We ordered a couple tapas and the Fideua Marinera. Perfect to split for two to three people depending on how many tapas you order. The stand out for us was the Alcachofas con foie grass.
Exceptional food and service. The server went above and beyond my expectations. He knew the menu inside and out. The chef was very accommodating to the dietary needs for someone in our party. Aside from that he made the best Spanish food I have had yet. Make sure you order the dessert, it was outstanding…. The restrooms were clean, there is street parking, and they have valet.
Love, love, love this place. And the service and food are remarkable. Our waitress was Mauren both time and she was spectacular. She made our Christmas dinner awesome and took great care of us. 10 Stars!
Excellent Spanish food restaurant with a wide variety of wines, exquisite food and attention, the interior design is in levels and has a large terrace where they present a good flamenco tablao. It also has a small place where you can buy a wide variety of Spanish products. The prices are very good and the presentation of the tables is spectacular. It has valet parking.
Food was pretty amazing, and the place is getting renovation to expand!
I love this place.. food is so tasty well prepared , great List of wines. I want to give 10 stars 🌟 to our Waiter (Audy) She's super awesome always ready to serve and guide you through the Menu and Wine List..
This Spanish restaurant was the perfect choice for a date night. The ambiance was lovely, setting the stage for a cozy evening. The food was beyond delicious, my husband and I had a paella for two and it was absolutely amazing.
Very nice and cozy atmosphere. The food was great with beautiful presentation. The waiter was very attentive and pleasant. They had live music that was not too loud. We could carry a conversation without screaming. I loved everything. Will be back again
True experience and great food. Make sure you have time to relax and take it all in. Not going to be a quick meal but a great one.
Excellent food and service 👌 Gaspacho, Jerez champinones, foie gras a la planche ,gambas in a coconut sauce and flan were delicious. We love this restaurant, it is the best Spanish restaurant in Miami.
Xixón is the staple of Spanish food in Miami. I make sure I come here a few times a year for reliably great Spanish food. We are not a big fan of the paellas here, so we always come for the tapas, the sangria and the flamenco. We recommend ordering 2-3 tapas per person, but make sure not to order all at once! Our favorite tapas are the Pulpo a la Gallega, the Gambas al Ajillo and the Txipirones Rellenos. When you book a table, ask for outside on the weekends—this is where the life music and flamenco happens.
Loved this place! Cannot say enough. My mom is from Spain and we know authentic Spanish food. This place is a gem. We had the pulpo a la gallega, seafood paella with Maine lobster and the house desert. I highly recommend and will be back soon!
Great food, great service, traditional Spanish restaurant. The best Spanish restaurant I have found so far in Miami! Will be back. Everything was delicious. Secreto paella could be better.
Great place to spend time with family and friends. Delicious Spanish food with great sangria. Spectacular atmosphere with live music.
Great place for drinks and tapas! The food was incredible. Highly recommend the artichokes and chickpeas. Plus they have half off drinks for happy hour!
The restaurant is a mix of elegance and charm. Our server was a delightful woman from Malaga - who recommended all the appetizers, entrees and beverages. Recommended it to out of town friends who also enjoyed it.
Found this restaurant on a friends instagram page.. she was bragging about the turron ice cream.. We went for it. What a nice Authentic Spanish restaurant. The place has outside terrace and inside. We had the best time. The food was excellent
The food is incredible. The service was amazing our server Carlos was super nice and made it a great experience!!
This is my favorite Spanish restaurant here in Miami. I always order delivery from them for my favorite dishes: Asturian fabada (bean stew) Ham, cheese, and chorizo sandwich Cod croquettes Today I ate for the first time at the restaurant and the cod croquettes were absolutely delicious and crispy. Acorn-fed Iberian ham platter The pumpkin puree is delicious! Those are my go-to dishes that never disappoint!
We went there fora happy hour to celebrate my birthday and this place exceeded my expectations. The food was delicious, the happy hour drinks super good and the service outstanding. Armandito our server was super friendly and give us good food recommendation. We will come back again for sure and I will recommend this place 100%
I came in for my first time this afternoon and I'm still thinking about how good that food was today! Their tortilla española was so soft and so good, that's all I've had on my mind since I left. Their atmosphere was so great too, all the scenery around us when me and my family ate look so amazing. We're so coming here next week!
I just had my office End of Year Luncheon at Xixon (for the second year) and everything was perfect. Service by Estefania and Henry was amazing. The food was excellent! Thank you, guys. See you soon! 😍
I used to be a regular at Xixon, but I stopped going because of inconsistent food quality. This week, I decided to give it a second chance and noticed a few changes. The restaurant has refreshed its decor, which is a positive update, and the food was good this time, though I’ve had mixed experiences in the past. One area that disappointed me was the wine cellar. They used to have a wider selection with more varied price points, but that seems to have changed for the worse. On the bright side, I appreciated the terrace where you can enjoy a good cigar with nice drinks after your meal, which adds to the experience for those who enjoy this kind of atmosphere. Another plus is that they have a full liquor license, offering a good variety of drinks. However, while I enjoyed the flamenco show they offer at night, I didn’t appreciate being charged $10 for the show, especially after spending the entire afternoon eating and drinking at the restaurant. In summary, Xixon still has potential, but there are areas where improvement is needed, especially in food consistency and the wine selection.
The tortilla Espanola was delicious, the chicken paella was good, and the churros were spot on. The service was great.
A surprisingly great dining experience for a last minute large group dinner! My friend’s intended birthday venue didn’t have enough space for the group, so she spoke to Xixón who were able to prepare a very large table on the second floor. Our server Carlos did a fantastic job getting everyone’s orders correctly, opening and serving what seemed like 5-6 bottles of wine attentively to those who were drinking it, and processing multiple bills without issues. When I asked about the Virgin Xixón, he said it was very good because it had fresh fruit juices. He was right: the Virgin Xixón was surprisingly delightful in appearance, with orange juice, pineapple juice layered under strawberry juice. All the juices tasted freshly squeezed, cutely finished with a slice of orange and strawberry. The large size of the glass meant I could keep sipping the glass and have plenty of the drink for the meal. I would have the drink again if I went back while keeping alcohol free! The tapas menu is huge and I’m here for it. There’s no way you won’t find something that’ll work for you, unless you have the unfortunate condition of disliking seafood, beef, ham, potatoes, eggs. We shared a couple tapas and both were cooked freshly and seasoned well. The Carrillera De Buey Al Vino Tinto (beef cheeks in red wine) was so tender and delightful. It did look a little funny because it came under a full layer of fries (crunchy breaded fries, by the way). We couldn’t see the bed cheek and had to move the fries for the photo hahaha. The Buñuelos De Bacalao (cod fish fritters) were perfectly crispy and bite sized to pop in the mouth while waiting for the entrees. Many of my friends got steaks, which they all liked, but I got the Fabada Asturiana, a white bean stew with jamon, chorizo and morcilla. It’s a Chef Special item that’s only offered on Saturdays, and lucky for me, we were there on a Saturday. It was seasoned with just the proper amount of salt, considering the cured meats that were included in the stew, and the thickness of the white bean kept the dish hot and so comforting for a seasonally chilly January night. I took a third of it home and equally enjoyed it later. The one problem I have is that their menu is so big that I’ll have to return a few more times to try everything I’m interested in! I’m eyeing their happy hour on Mondays-Thursdays and will go back!
Pretty good Spanish restaurant in Miami, Florida. It is on Coral Way and 28th or so Street . I have to say that it was good, but I guess that my expectations exceeded the reality. Although my main fish dish was good and the tapas were also good, what can I say... it wasn’t exceptional. For a restaurant which has been rated the number 1 Spanish restaurant in Miami in 2018, I wasn’t taken to another dimension by this place. Our waiter was green as an Arugula, and he couldn’t advise us at all on Spanish wines. Nothing. He had no clue! The food, again, was good... but I just wasn’t blown away. BEWARE: This restaurant’s restroom is simply gross! Old, nasty, smelling of bleach, the ONE hand dryer was hidden behind a door and no paper was provided to dry your hands, it was as if you were taken from this apparently high end restaurant to an Overtown billiards joint’s bathroom. Hey, management: Update these restrooms! They are part of where your clients go and for the very high amount of money you make us pay, go ahead and invest a little and make the restrooms decent! For God’s sakes! This one didn’t blow me away at all...
If you’re in the mood for authentic Spanish food, this is the place. Great flavors, food options and service. Be on the lookout at the time of payment. If one is not paying attention, tip is included in the final total, but you may become confused. On the bill there is section named tip chart. If you don’t pay attention, you don’t realize it’s an additional tip and you will give the waiter a 40 percent tip. Of course the waiter didn’t say anything until I questioned it and because it’s a benefit to them. I felt as if it was deceptive on the part of the restaurant.
Nice place and authentic Spanish environment The wine selection is good The Gambas with garlic is good and crunchy The jamon ibérico is super good The paella it is not good at all and tasteless We were surprised that nice place like that can not do a good paella and flavor it correctly Hopefully they can fix this defect so we can visit again
We was a group of 43, the atmosphere was great, they had live music with a great singer, very interactive with the guest, made it allot of fun. The food was good for me. and the service was good for the amount of people we were.
Second time at Xixon! Life show was above and beyond. Great musicians, excellent repertory and the atmosphere was amazing. Everyone loved the food. It was a busy night that’s probably why we had a long wait to be served and order wasn’t complete. We never got the salt and dressing for the salad but we could understand. The only thing I was a little confused was there’s a fee per person for the show, it should be advised in advance but I am ok with that as well because as I said musicians are amazing but I didn’t understand so much the service fee of $101.00 we were charged. Was it the tip or another extra charge which is coming out of the blue? Not complaining just wanted to understand things a little better. It was a great night though.
I'm giving 3 for courteousness of the host and the setting of the restaurant. We stopped for a quick bite after a concert. Parking off the street. Ordered a Sangria, didn't like it. The shrimp and the hot bread were good, but look at the fries on the other dish...seriously? The cheese board...same. Lack of presentation on every dish. I was expecting better.
10/06/2023 This spot used to be an icon of the Spaniard restaurant in Miami. Different owners change what I consider the soul and environment of the business. However, the food I had was standard and good taste, like Boqueron en Vinagre and artichoke with ham. The Callos was cold at the time was served but the taste was not as expected. The restaurant was empty at the time I arrived, but full at the time I left. I consider they are a little bit of pricing for lunch time. 07/20/2023 Service is a big portion of the experience when a restaurant is visited and acts extremely friendly, which is not always good. We as customers deserve professionalism, and this is the reason for tips paid. Food all dishes were overcook except for the boquerones that are raw fish plates. Price remains the same as usual with perfect combination with the peoples and environment. Please. Don't forget this is a traditional Spanish restaurant in Miami. 05/11/2023 First impressions really bad, the restaurant was totally empty and host with attitude. Food ok, I had boquerones, artichokes w ham and grilled Corvina. All good products at a correct price. As mentioned before, the restaurant empty and today they had 20% discount on wine. But pay attention to your bill. Just in case. Sorry, but my expectations dropped down with the experience having lunch. The spot is nice and cozy. The food needs to improve to have the quality of this restaurant. But service is a mess. More than 1 hour waiting to be attended and asking for the tap.
Everything very good with the food and service the only things we needed fix is the AC on the terrace is terrible because is all place closed and to many people inside!
The food was decent. The service atrocious. We were patient because after all it is Christmas Eve. We ordered a $54 bottle of wine, told the waiter the name and pointed to it in the menu. We also said we wanted regular water. None of us actually drink water with our meals. When the bill came we were charged $12 for the bottle of water we didn’t order and $149 for the bottle of wine. Apparently he brought a more expensive wine which none of us noticed was different from the one we ordered. When we questioned the waiter, he told us he showed us the bottle and we accepted it. Just a word of caution, pay attention to these details before the bill arrives!
This local restaurant serves good Spanish and has wonderful waitstaff. My only issue is with a staple Spanish dish, the Tortilla. It’s always, consistently, overcooked. More of a Fritatta. If you like your tortilla dry and overcooked, then you will love this place. If you are looking for silky, soft dripping in the center Tortilla, maybe try somewhere else.
The service here was so bad lol. Our server realized we didn’t speak Spanish and immediately changed his attitude and became inattentive. We were seated outside and he stopped coming outside after our food had been served so we had to go inside to ask for the bill. I didn’t even start my review talking about the food because it was quite mid. Paella was cooked unevenly, some parts were dry, others had more sauce. Skip this spot.
We went to Xixon to celebrate my stepfathers 90th bday. I had been there before and my experience was great. Don’t order the lamb chops; the meat is very hard and items on the plate were cold. The service was really slow; there was a large party next to us and I’m assuming that was reason for the bad service. I tried the risotto that my niece ordered and it was cold and lacked flavor. The only good thing about the dinner was bread and the octopus. Overall I was disappointed with the food and service. Please bring back the old Xixon.
So the place is beautiful and the service was top notch. But the food. Was tasteless. No salt whatsoever. There was no taste in anything we tried. The desert was a piece of tasteless French toast 😩
ATTENTION: not The place it used to be New ownership and trust me, it is a real mess!!! Food is trush!! I was there tonight on New year’s eve … special bellota jamón doesn’t exist anymore!!! The food that was served was embarassing, at 11:15 I had to send back my meat because it was cold!!! Please, if you enjoyed the place it used to be… don’t come here anymore
I made a reservation for Noche Buena...aka Christmas eve.... I went with my parents which I stated on my reservation that it was their 38th marriage anniversary, my wife and baby and it was not a good experience at all. The food was not good, the service was horrible and for the money I spent (700) dollars, will never go there again...... food was cold and with no taste..... lastly the tip was not supposed to be included.... but it was..... $98 included tip for service that we didn't received....
My experience at this restaurant was very disappointing. The service was terrible from the start — it took a long time for anyone to attend to us, and several items we ordered were never brought out, even after reminding the staff multiple times. The food was far below expectations, lacking flavor and poorly presented. For the prices they charge, the quality does not match at all. In addition, the wait times were excessive and the service felt unprofessional. I definitely would not return or recommend this place. There are many other restaurants that offer better service and better food for the same price or less.
It was my first time visiting your restaurant yesterday. I had called ahead to make sure we could be seated outside because it was a special occasion. However, when we arrived, we were told the note was never added to the reservation, which was very disappointing as we were hoping to enjoy the show, and that was not possible. We ordered the seafood paella to share, and later I became very sick with vomiting and diarrhea. This is extremely concerning for a first-time visit. The only positive note I can share is that our server was very kind and attentive, but overall, the experience was far from what I expected.
