Orno is a surprising delight. The atmosphere and friendly staff welcome you to a true dining experience. My guy and I only wanted appetizers and drinks because we weren’t so hungry but wanted good food. The food was amazing and it was just as pretty as it tasted. I definitely want to come back for the full dining experience, but the appetizers were absolutely delicious. The drinks are surprisingly priced moderately and really good! They went above and beyond for our visit and I appreciate that because we only had appetizers. I will definitely be back soon when I’m ready to fully dine! You can’t go wrong at Orno, everything was good.

One of my favorite meals I've had in Miami. The ambience is great and comfortable, the service was friendly and wait staff knowledgeable, and the food was fantastic. Sat at the Chef's counter and the chefs themselves were helpful, informative and hospital as well. Highly recommend. Worth the drive out from the Beach.

This place is great for a date night or an afternoon happy hour. The food is innovative and flavorful and the staff very accommodating. We enjoyed our complementary cocktails and allowed our waiter to recommend us dishes. It did not disappoint, all the food was amazing. I loved the decoration of the place and will definitely return.

I don’t know where to begin! I can’t remember the last time I ordered eight dishes and all of them were spectacular. Ambiance: Warm glowing lights, very nicely decorated space and oversized chandelier and greenery. Service: Excellent, our server Nico was so attentive and all his recommendations was spot on! I think there were 4/5 different team members waiting on us thought out the dinner. Food: WOW!! I do not remember the last time all my dishes were so superb. I ordered 8 items and they were all dishes I would come back for. Two items that stood out for me are the “Petite Lettuces”. This salad was so tasty, I was not expecting the flavors to be so robust and savory! The other dish was the “Mishima Reserve Flat Iron Steak” it was perfectly cooked and you can taste quality of the meat. Drinks: Very unique drink menu with a varied wine list. I want to return just to sit at the beautiful bar. If you want a bit of privacy, ask to be seated in the library, that’s what I’ll be doing next time.

Yes Or(no)? 1000 times YES! In a world where aesthetics often overshadow the food, this delightful bottomless brunch spot stands out with its exceptional farm-to-table wood-grilled culinary experience. The ambiance is a bright, vibrant, and earthy oasis, perfectly nestled within the Thesis hotel. To discover this hidden gem, venture left past the receptionist and you'll find the entrance to Orno down the hallway. Now, let's talk about the drinks – they're utterly addictive. I can't recommend enough the refreshing Cucumba, the tantalizing fall special "Strange Days" a tiki-inspired cocktail, and the 24K Magic, a must-try for espresso martini enthusiasts, adorned with gold-dusted espresso beans. As for the food, the grilled octopus, potato pavé, wagyu burger, and French toast deserve a chef's 💋! And a special mention to our wonderful waitress, Mia, who added that extra touch of sweetness to our experience. 🙌🏽

I just had dinner with some friends for the miami spice menu and I gotta say, it’s one of the best miami spices I’ve tried. To start with, you do have to pay for parking. $3 an hour, no validation. The restaurant is inside a hotel. Great ambiance, bar, cocktails and the food, amazing. Stacy went above and beyond to make the experience even better. You should ask for her if you decide to try it. The food was delicious and I look forward to visiting again!

What a joy! This gem is intense and incredible. The food mirrors the decor, where industrial spaces meet organic elements. Warm and elegant and modern and beautiful. Similarly, the food is vivid, diverse, contrasting elements which perfectly compliment each other. A range of flavor profiles and daring escapades where a less bold chef may have chosen to play it safe, this chef chooses to play it big and incorporate a range of textures and flavors. It is a sensual delight to consume these dishes. The service is genuinely EXCELLENT. Rarely do I find service as good. The pizza was rich and light. The cauliflower was bold and flavorful with citrus tangy fruity elements against an Indian spice creaminess. The octopus was a punch of flavor, yum. The eggplant was perfect. The pana cotta pushes the boundary of what belongs together, cream and fruit and ice; this chef doesn’t play by rules or convention and I LOVE it. This food will dance on your tastebuds and leave you philosophically enlightened. 10/10, come here.

Loved the vibe at this place! Although it’s been open for nearly a year, we just discovered it and my heart and tummy are thankful! If you can’t get a reservation and are ok with the bar, it is a great option! Mixologist/bartender extraordinaire, Roger is awesome! From shaking up your favorite cocktail, to recommending delicious menu choices, Roger was absolutely amazing…truly a master of his craft! We tried the hummus, Australian lamb chops, corn risotto and the Vidalia onion gratin which we would have never ordered if it wasn’t for Roger’s reco and we’re so glad we did-it was bursting with a pure creamy and cheesiness. The crème brûlée had a dulce de lech flan consistency which was the perfect ending to our dining experience at Orno. Yum-o!

It is very modern atmosphere, has high ceilings, and is beautifully designed. The food was outstanding, full of flavor. We had the onion stuffed with mashed potatoes, the filet, the grouper, roasted eggplant, buffallo mozzarella, panacotta, and wonderful cocktails.

The decor, the drinks, the quality of food, the playing, every detail was perfection. I can see why this chef is James Beard nominated. One of the best meals I've ever had in Miami. We had espresso martinis, old fashioned, the gnocchi, octopus, wahoo, wagyu, carrots, onion, and chocolate tart. Please book the reservation and enjoy.

This farm-to-table contemporary concept by Chef Niven Patel has quickly become one of my local favorites since it opened last Fall. Menu changes frequently so there are always new flavors to try and ingredients taste like they have been plucked straight from the garden and landed on the plate— all the comfort and nostalgia of a home cooked meal alongside perfectly executed culinary techniques and gorgeous garnishing. The atmosphere is both upscale and cozy, with beautiful plants and light fixtures as well as a fine attention to detail (jars of pickled vegetables and beautiful ceramic tableware adorn the warm space). The bartenders are engaging and knowledgable and elements of their bar program are inspired by literary figures, which compliments their "library" dining area that offers semi-private seating. All beverages come in delicate glassware that easily could have come out of a prohibition era speakesy. A great space for events, or when you have special guests in town. Don't miss their extensive wine selection either! This is a restaurant to visit again and again.

Came for the Miami Spice experience but completely changed my mind when I saw their menu lol. Arrived during Power Hour and enjoyed the sweetest $2 Canadian oysters. The Soppressata pizza was out of this world as was the charred octopus! Kudos to the staff for a great experience and for squeezing in my last minute reservation!

Went for Power Hour, which is what they call happy hour. $2 oysters, $10 pizzas, and half off wine. Oysters were high quality. The soppressata pizza was delicious. Good value. The wine pours were healthy, so no complaints. Great happy hour. The bar staff is great too.

This review is JUST about brunch - I will have to do an entirely different review for dinner (which we love). We went to brunch at Orno after Argentina won the World Cup. Perfect place to celebrate! The service, as always, is spot on. Attentive and really helpful with suggestions. The pancakes were suggested - but really, can pancakes be that different - well MY GOODNESS. They are AMAZING - literally melt in your mouth, light, delicious and ricotta???...I can't wait to go back for more. Always a big fan of the green chick pea hummus. and the falafel salad was so fresh and satisfying. Steak was so tender I could cut it with a fork. The entire experience was so wonderful. Like Argentina at the World Cup, Orno anytime is a WINNER!

Very professional. Excellent service. Cocktails justified the price. Pricy indeed, but felt worthwhile. We ate only appetizers. I will comment that they had many interesting vegetable options, with large portions. While I am not a vegetarian, I focus mainly on plant based food. The sunchoke was unique and delectable. Will return gladly.

This place has never failed. The food is just at another level, curated by Chef Niven who brings his ingredients from his own farm in Homestead. Dinner or Brunch, you have to try both. The service has always been impeccable and the place itself always warm and welcoming. This place is an hour from where i live but its always worth the drive! My top 5 places to eat in MIAMI!

Went last night for my two year anniversary with my partner and I can’t really describe how special and remarkable of an evening it was. We came for Valentine’s Day and it was similarly incredible but they took it to the next level. We dined in the library instead of the main hall, which is worth it. It’s intimate and romantic. Our server Fatima’s was incredible, she gave us recommendations on what to order and in what order, very knowledgeable, and very mindful of us, other staff as well. Carefully wiping down our table between courses. My martini was perfect, and my partners cocktail was incredible. We had the cauliflower and the octopus as starters and it was some of the best freshest food I’ve ever had. We split the branzino and the grilled Vidalia onion as a main course and it was incredible. Delectable and well presented, a truly magical experience. We were surprised with a dessert, the pan a cotta, which, I’m not a dessert person, he is, and it was perfect for both of us. Fatima was incredible, the supporting staff unreal. Orno is our favorite spot and we don’t want to blow it up, lol. But it’s too good. In general there’s been a lot of over priced over hyped placed with horrible service in Miami in particular, but the food quality, presentation, service and level of conscientiousness and attention at orno is unreal. Go there now, and everyone from the bartenders, the hosts, thr bussers are incredible, definitely ask for Fatima!

This restaurant has to be my favorite so far that I’ve been to in Miami. The atmosphere is amazing, the service superb, drinks perfect, and the food outstanding. Orno has become our new favorite spot! Come for the happy hour oysters and stay for the delicious cocktails, fun and yet relaxed ambiance, and fantastic food! Phenomenal meal. Chef is very talented. Highly recommend the bucatini carbonara and the beef tartare. Potato’s are also a great side. Don’t be intimidated by the drink menu (lots of niche liquors). Spicy margarita was great. Also highly recommend the super Tuscan which comes by the glass. Overall great ambiance. More on the formal side

I have worked at Michelin star restaurants in 3 American cities. I have lived and dined in miami for 20 years. This was one of the finest experiences I have had in the country for food. The coctails the portions the value the service. Best in this entire town. Get that Michelin star here tomorrow. So impressed, so surprised. Read any of my reviews to know I'm a harsh critic and this silenced my cynicism. Will return on every trip back south. Bravo bravisimo.

Arrived just before 6pm to make a show and had a delicious (and interactive) experience at the chef's counter. Each dish was really enjoyable and I will certainly be back. The Pulpo transported me to Spain, the Sun-chokes were the perfect balance of sweet, smokey and savory. Hummus... Wow! Both Tar-Tars were wonderful and the charred long beans were awesome. We got the squid ink ravioli which was more like a seafood dumpling (in a good way). Side note they offer a special burger from 5-6pm and half off wine bottles (get the Darioush) with an amazing selection!! Staff was on point and the cooks were great to hang with! We will be back for their perfect looking pizza, meat and seafood mains another time.

Was lucky enough to get to try a good portion of the menu and was blown away by the meal. A few stand outs, the Wagyu Beef tartare was an amazing start to the meal, the Artichoke pizza was incredible, and the Halibut was the perfect entree for the night. As far as drinks, I don’t think you could really go wrong, every drink we tried from the menu was delicious. Finally, I just wanted to note the incredible energy of the staff, you could tell everyone was excited and working as hard as they possibly could. Really looking forward to coming back!

We first visited for New Year’s dinner and went back today for regular dinner. Everything was just as interesting, delicious, and amazing. The clams were huge and the sauce was perfect. The grilled octopus had a perfect smoky flavor. We had the Tile Fish and the Branzino as our entrees. My husband loved the Tile fish and I loved the Branzino. Weren’t even sure what a sun choke was and now we love them. The grilled mushrooms were also wonderful. We had the same lovely server, she got everything right. Her name is Stacey, not Marjorie!!!

Orno is a great addition to the miami dining scene. It sits in Coral Gables at the new THesis hotel. Ambiance is super nice and inviting and there is plenty parking inside the building. The restaurant itself is nicely decorated and has a cool bar and back room. Kitchen plan is open and their food packs a punch. From appetizers to dessert everything was DELICIOUS. Grilled octopus was super good and everyone liked it at the table. Salad was excellent as well. Tuna crudo, pizza, Halibut and Black grouper were all on point. The pizza has a very thin crust and it is crispy while the tomato sauce is flavorful and delicate. In my opinion I liked better the Halibut than the grouper but they were both good. Service was perfect... efficient and fun. Very friendly staff all willing to help and make you feel welcomed. The wine list is on the expensive side but it has a few options bellow $60. I would recommend coming here on a Thursday night or the weekend... but make a reservation... it does get pack at times.

Orno is like no other. Each dish - from the Green Chickpea Hummus to the Jamon Iberico - is irresistible. Fresh ingredients as you would expect from Chef Niven. The entire culinary team and waitstaff team is friendly, attentive and informed. And my friend Gigi said this of Pastry Chef Amy's Chocolate Souffle dessert: "You know when you first fall in love with someone but are not sure about the object of your affection - and then it's all perfect. That is this dessert."

Food was really good and so was the service. But there was a long wait for our reservation because of a mixup on the restaurant side. Ended up not being able to get dessert as a result. The hummus and pita, onion gratin, crispy potatoes, pork chop and picanha were all really good. The drinks were good as well

What a wonderful night, Thank you Chef PATEL for your espectacular food. Fresh, nice, and tasteful. Thanks to my waiter LEMUS ( your service is outstanding) ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We went to Orno a week ago but I didn’t have the opportunity to post my review before because google account problems. This place is fenomenal, we ordered the Octopus, Humus, Tuna Crudo and Bone Marrow to Start. Then the whole fish (Branzino) (Lamb) (Onion with Cheese) and the mushrooms Pizza. Everything was unbelievable and very well prepared. Thank you again to all the staff.

I go to UMiami, so I come to this place often. Every time it is amazing. The food is great, the atmosphere is one of a kind.

The atmosphere is very romantic, if you’re not into darker settings then turn back now. I for one, loved the entire vibe. I arrived a little past 2100 and was seated in the main dining area at the long bench booth style seating. It was comfortable and the candle gave just the right amount of ambiance. The music was upbeat and just part of the background, not a restaurant that bores its sound forcing patrons to scream at one another for competition. James was my waiter and he was very helpful in guiding me through the menu to ensure I had a Celiac friendly (Gluten Free) experience. He started out with suggesting the Wood Fired Heirloom Carrots, atop a herb yogurt and garnished with a pomegranate paste (reminded me of guava paste from back home in Puerto Rico) *drool*. Then I was served the Vidalia Onion Gratin stuffed with cave gruyère & chives on a mini cast iron pan, careful, it’s VERY hot! But well worth the gooey goodness alongside the Australian Lamb Chops. I have to really speak on these chops, they were incredibly seasoned, cooked medium (perfection!) and balanced with just the right amount of earthiness (coriander), sweet (medjool dates), and bitter nuttiness (banyuls vinegar). The food came out relatively fast and didn’t hold out on the presentation or expertise. James reassured me that there’s no rush to finish dining or pay the bill. It definitely gave off a family vibe, come sit, eat, and drink. I stayed well after finishing my meal and wrote a little. James, nor anyone else, didn’t pester me and just let me be. It was stress free and comforting. Orno delivered to me a wonderful experience that will have me talking for months.

Let's start with the cocktails, I had 3 of their signature cocktails and all were very very good. Great balance on flavors and very tasty! The food was incredible we had a lot of the menu items including oysters, and the pizza which was so delicious!! I also had the wings plus 10 other things but they are worth mentioning because they were awesome! And for the best part which is the make or break for me, the service. Lemus was our server and I haven't had this great of an experience in a long time. I hope management is reading this and can appreciate this guy because these days it's so hard to find people who do this great of a job. Thank you Orno!

GREAT cocktails and GREAT creative food! Definitely don't skip out on the onion app. Our Turkish server was so knowledgeable about the menu, she knew all the ingredients in each of the sauces! She made great recommendations for dinner and everything was timed appropriately. Great atmosphere too!

Orno exceeded expectations....had an incredible Miami Spice brunch yesterday. The food, ambiance and wait staff were excellent. Our waitress Stacie, was so nice, thoughtful and knowledgeable. They take food to another level....every dish had wonderful flavors and was presented beautifully. Didn't want the lunch to end..................highly recommend.

Sitting down to eat here resulting in an experience that I didn't expect. This was absolutely the most incredible dining experience I have had in the longest time. Our server Stacey was quite literally a breath of fresh air. You could tell she loved what she did. The menu is limited but that is because it's pure perfection. We had the artichoke hearts, Thai spare ribs, lettuces and pasta. Oh and the panacotta and peach tart. Oh and don't forget to order some bread.... Drenched in oil and grilled to order. Once we left it was like the 20 lb weight of a stressful workday was completely lifted. We were so thrilled with the experience that we had to share with the manager, Vince I believe 🙈, and he was so kind and appreciative. We will be back!

Went out for a rare date night here with the hubbie and boy were we impressed. The flavors of the food are impeccable. Everything we ordered tasted wonderful! The wait staff are plentiful and attentive. The decor is chic and intimate. The wood fired element adds uniqueness to the flavors. Additionally, I forgot my credit card at the restaurant and they called me right away to let me know…how nice! This just became one of my Miami favorites.

This restaurant impressed me, the citrus salad was very fresh and tasty, the cauliflower was absolutely amazing and the sauce a work of art, the duck was cooked to perfection and the tres leches lasted about 15 seconds on the table before it disappeared. Very tasty, excellent presentation and fresh ingredients, you can tell the kitchen loves what they do. Excellent service as well from James, will be back with friends.

Sunday brunch was a bit slow to start. Served water and received our menu immediately but then waited a bit long for our waitress. Drinks were excellent and oyster appetizer was perfect. We opted for the "Taste the Gables" menu, $35 each included two apps and two entrees: chilaquiles were fresh and crispy, a touch spicy perhaps but enjoyed them; the pita and hummus was heaven, you won't find nicer pita anywhere and the hummus had a nice hint of garlic; bacon, potato pave was amazing, moist and delicious; ricotta pancakes were incredibly light and tasty; banana bread dessert was good, perhaps out least favorite but maybe we were just full by this point. I need to have it again bc I'm probably not judging it fairly. Service much improved after our oyster app and drinks and they made up for delay at beginning. It's our second time at Orno and we enjoyed it more than first time. You must try it!

Wow! From beginning to end, the server was extremely kind and offered great suggestions for the table. The ambiance was what you would expect from a new trendy place, good lighting and great for photos! The food was delicious, and the dessert- WOW again! All very tasty! Try the grilled Okra , the octopus, and any drink! Literally, any drink will be sure to delight your taste buds and make it a memorable night!

Exceptional service by Lemus, our waiter. Took excellent care of us in a friendly and efficient manner. We ordered many plates to share, and honestly absolutely all were tasty and well prepared. The chef here does an excellent job, and the food has a farm-to table vibe. Will definitely return

Recently dined here and it truly is an experience. From the ambiance, to the service, and finally the food, I felt like I got great value and left just feeling happy. The skinny, spicy marg (Mo-gerita I think) was the best I've had and each dish we ordered was so unique. I enjoyed the balance of meats, vegetables, fruits/nuts and sauces with each dish. And finally the dessert, wow! The seasonal pumpkin spice creme brûlée was wild. As for the service, the entire team was very attentive with every aspect of the service - cannot praise the entire staff enough! Definitely dine here if you're looking for a laid back, dim light experience. I'm excited to try the opposite of that for their brunch scene!

If you want to have amazingly prepared dishes that will make your eyes pop when you try them, this is definitely the place for you. This is the type of restaurant that focuses on details and quality. Every plate we ordered was done to perfection. The place looks great and it was really difficult to find anything to nick them on. It was even packed on a Wednesday. Nico was a wonderful server and really did his best to make sure you were happy. Orno is truly gem!

Fabulous restaurant!!! Had dinner on Friday April 22nd and had an amazing experience. The ambiance and decor are outstanding, there is not even a whiff of smoke coming from their many wood-fired ovens, so they must have the best ventilation in town. Food was inventive, fresh, local (chef's farm) and delicious. Great combination of ingredients lending a Peruvian, Middle Eastern vibe. I can't say enough about this place and will come again when I'm in the area.

Decided to try Orno for the first time for my birthday and truly so happy I did! We were a large of about 10. Alyse made the booking process so easy even though my party was a bit complicated due to dietary restrictions. The service at the restaurant was great. The food was even better. I will definitely be back. Again and again!

I came her on a date night with a bf over the weekend and we had a wonderful experience. We made reservations ahead of time to avoid the wait, but still had to wait about 10-15 minutes for our table to be ready. I ordered a margarita to get started and I personally think it fell flat and tasted like a Minute Maid lemonade. However, everything else was truly delicious, and full of flavor. We ordered beef tartare as our starter and were surprised how tasty and fresh it tasted. For the entree we ordered the Wagyu Denver Steak with fingerling potatoes and the onion, we loved every bit of our meal, the steak was tender, the onion was cheesy, and the potatoes were citrusy, tender and delicious. The restaurant overall had a really nice ambiance and was nicely designed.

Good food, some great, and some ok. Must get the snapper, cauliflower app, and hummus. Skip the dessert. I would return for these plates. Parking is a mission very tiny sign at the end of the building.

We went to Orno with friends during Miami Spice. The food and ambience was fabulous. BUT, since the room was dark we couldn’t properly see the bill - not being aware that they added 20% gratuity upon presentation. Both couples added another 25%, so the server ended up getting a 45% tip from each of us. It would have been professional to have been informed. DUH!

J

Great service and ambiance, but the food was really hit and miss. For example, the cocktails were on point, and some of the appetizers, like the hummus and octopus, were quite good, but by the account of three people at our table the grouper was flavorless and overcooked, and the other main dishes, while tasty, were not amazing. Nice place overall, but portions are on the smaller side and it's generally overpriced.

A
Anna Dobrynina

The atmosphere, drinks and desserts are really great. The food was ok when we went. I loved the Alaskan halibut. The Denver steak was pretty average. The cook was good on it, the flavor didn’t impress. The mushrooms were so salty (and I specifically asked to not put too much salt on). The onion gratin was really great. So some good things here and there. The wait staff needs a bit more training (more attention, make sure water is filled up, better knowledge of ingredients in each dish)

An odd mixture of up and down. Great ambiance inside, very Miami. Was surprised they didn't offer the Miami Spice menu, only when asked. For appetizer, their baked feta was amazing 10/10 but their tuna tartare was strangely very fishy and plain- sign of not being fresh. For their main, we have the grilled waygu picanha (delicious but the end pieces was not trimmed well with gristle still on) and prawns (yummy but only 2 prawns?!). Accompanying potatoes were delicious but felt there should be more protein than potato on the dish. For dessert, their warm chocolate cake was decent. The Panna Cotta craime fraiche tasted just as good as Hilton Garden Inn yogurt- uninspiring. In all, there were some very delicious moments but let down by some dishes. Glad we got to try but would not recommend at regular menu prices with their small protein sizes

It was my first time here for a friend's dinner. We had reservations for 8:30 and had to wait 30-40 minutes to be sat down. Meanwhile we were by the bar and ordering drinks (3 people working the bar) and they were slow making the drinks and slow getting us the check (2 drinks on each check per person). While waiting for them we were asked to not cover part of the bar area. Our entrées didn't arrive until 11pm (we've been there over 2 hours at this point) and this is the time the restaurant closes so now we feel we have to hurry. The waiter was alright, I think he felt like they messed up by making us wait so he was just a bit meh about dealing with us even though we didn't make any comments or were rude because of the wait. The restaurant gave us two apps on the house to make up for that. We were also asked that if anyone was doing Miami Spice, the whole table needed to order from that menu. When ordering, they were out of 2 of 3 appetizers. Food was good but I expected more for the price, not talking about quantity but quality and flavor. The risotto was pretty much white rice with canned corn. I wouldn't recommend or consider going back. Again, not a cheap place so there's high expectations from the start. Hope it was just an off night, good luck.

I made the reservation 2 weeks in advance and told them that I don’t want to eat in the library. She told me that it’s wasn’t a problem. They took my credit card and told me that they will charge me $20.00 per person if I didn’t cancel, no problem by me. I went early, so happy to made to a restaurant that I was going to celebrate my birthday. What a big disappoint , a very ruthless person at the door told me that she didn’t have the table I reserve, either I seat where she have the table or I can go somewhere else. I eat there because I drove from Pompano to eat there. I will never come back or recommend it.

Was warned by friends not to go but we gave it a try anyway . Most disappointing. Limited menu , most expensive wine list anywhere , and so loud , due to table spacing , it’s hard to have a conversation with others you’re dining with . Doubt they have a regular repeat clientele , will have to rely on out of town visitors and hotel quests . Too many good restaurants in Miami to waste an evening here .

We had a mediocre experience due to severe lack of service and experience of the staff . Service was very slow and sloppy, not effective and welcoming as could be expected. We were presented with deserts instead of the entrees, then entrees took very long…. For example No water refilling no detailed attention, plates were not served all at the same time… sloppy very sloppy For the pricing and ’ level’ this restaurant is shooting to position itself, the experiences was definitely not to the expectation. Need to really tighten service, timing attention to detail. It’s a shame, food and ambiance are great, however service is a big disappointment which spoils importantly the experience.

Well decorated with a good ambiance. The food was okay, but nothing exceptional. At the price point, either the portions should be bigger, or the food more creative/exceptional. We had the eggplant, beets, and agnolotti.

Orno is overall beautiful restaurant with great service. Design is a tad chaotic, you can count like 8 different types of light fixtures within the 2 rooms. Food was good, not great. I ordered several of the appetizers and not one really stood out enough to go back. Spaghetti carbonara was unbalanced, overly peppered to the point that it was spicy (not in a good way). I make it at home all the time and my recipe is better. Tried to order the tuna but they didn’t have it. Overall, there’s lots of potential here if the food kinks are worked out.

More like a 3.5-but rounding down due to small portions. We came here in date night (our first post-baby date) so we were very excited to try out a new place. The ambiance and service were average, nothing to write home about. They seated us at a small 2 people table, even though there were plenty of room otherwise. We ordered ALOT of food--the waitress commented that the table is too small for all the food we ordered so they will be bringing out everything slowly---why not just moved us to the 20 other bigger tables? The food: we ordered 8 dishes total to shared. The grill octopus was very good (but tiny portion--3 bites each). The lamb and steak tartare were also delicious. The bucatini was not edible, way too salty, we ate one bite and couldn't eat any more. The waiter saw that we didn't eat it but didn't asked how it was before clearing the table. I guess to avoid any kind of "awkwardness". The Brussels sprout was also not good. The tuna tartare and bone marrow were average. Overall--it better than the average miami restaurant experience but We probably won't be back since there are so many other plenty of other places to

Sat down, looked at the cocktail menu. Interesting choices priced between $16-20 except for a $25 cocktail that had Macallan 12 and other stuff. Opted to just go with a classic Manhattan. Bourbon or Rye? The server asks Rye Are you ok with Angels Envy Rye? Sure Bill comes and the Manhattan is $33. Typically when you mention a rye or bourbon it's the spirit that the bar uses for the cocktail. It's a sleazy way to charge more, imo. Typical of Miami. That said, the food was good. The pasta dish was small, but the Denver steak was a pretty good size. I also enjoyed their take on the Baked Alaskan.

Had a really bad experience overall. First, we arrived and our waitress took a long time to come take our drinks order and appetizer. We thought maybe shes busy because the restaurant was full and let it go. Next, she finally comes back with our drinks after about 45 minutes and we start asking questions about the menu and we come to find out that one of their main dishes which is the Clam Bucatini wasn’t available anymore on a Friday night for dinner. Next, we start to ask for other things on the menu and they had NONE of 3 different dishes we asked for. We asked for the margherita pizza, prosciutto pizza and wagyu denver steak. We asked if they can at least try making something similar to the bucatini because we had seen that was one of their specialties but we were offered butter pasta and tomato sauce pasta. We ordered it just in case but it was very disappointing because the portion was very small had little to no butter and was very bland. The server did nothing to make the experience at least slightly better even though it was quite obvious we were very bothered. We ended up ordering the octopus, picanha, lamb chops, and gnocchi and potatoes and all were good but also took a really long time to come out. Overall experience was very disappointing and left us very unsatisfied.

Made the mistake of ordering the Miami spice menu because we were told that everyone had to get it. Not just one person. Had I been able to order off the regular menu this would probably not be a problem. However, the entire menu was incredibly underwhelming. The tuna tar tar was mushy and had a faint taste of licorice and frankly needed more salt. It was accompanied by 1 crostini, which wasn’t nearly enough for all the pasty tartar. The “wagyu” steak was abysmal; it was painfully tough to cut (ordered medium rare), chewy, and somehow managed to taste like burger meat. It was topped with some kind of butter that didn’t pair with or accent anything on the plate. There were 2 pieces of grilled broccoli (undercooked) and a whole plantain, sliced in half, and grilled. The plantain was the WORST starch on an entree I’ve ever had. It was chalky, dry, hard, and unpalatable. We weren’t able to have it replaced because the server did not come by in time for us to tell her before our plates were removed. Once desert came out, we had switched seats to take pictures of the birthday girl with the lovely background of the restaurant interior and then requested that the check be split (party of 4 requesting for the check to be split for each couple). The server said that she couldn’t split the check because we switched seats and that confused her as to who got what items. Aside from 5 cocktails, we all had the same item… the Miami spice menu. The 2 people that switched seats went back to their original seats to help her out. When she came back with the check, she said she couldn’t split it either way because of the Miami spice orders. That is incredibly hard to believe and she blamed it on their POS. All in all the food was terrible. If their Miami spice menu is a reflection of the quality of the full menu, then I do not recommend this restaurant at all!

The restaurant decor was beautiful and the library, it was very cozy and intimate. I have to say that the music does not fit the elegant decor, it was some sort of blues jazz. But the most important thing was we were very disappointed with the food. We had the bone marrow and it was so laden with stuffing on top that we couldn’t even really taste or enjoy the marrow part. The only redeeming factor was the bread that came with the bone marrow dish. We also ordered the pizza sopressatta which was a $18 personal sized pizza that was not any different than you could make at home or get at a local pizza place- so over-priced given the quality of the food. The most disappointing was the halibut. It was literally a fish on a plate. The halibut was very rubbery, over cooked, and had little flavor. I could barely eat a fourth of it. Maybe it was a selection of foods we chose, but my husband and I decided we would never come back or recommend this restaurant to friends.

F
Fresh Ambient

Underwhelming. The expectation of a celebration of fresh from the farm/garden was not met, moreover, the vegetables were layered with sauces and seasonings, ultimately masking versus enhancing. The octopus and onion were both sad in presentation and taste. For the red meat eater, the NY Strip was super thin and lacked flavor. Maybe a bad night for the kitchen, but there was nothing outstanding, unique, or memorable to justify the price. Giving one star versus none for the excellent service by the waiter, James.

Judging by the decor and the pictures from this place that kept showing up in my Instagram, I had high hopes for it but was unfortunately let down. We had reservations for Sat @ 730PM for a party of two. We arrived on time and we’re seated in the middle area in a smaller two person table, which to be honest isn’t my favorite because drinks and plates in smaller table gets cluttered, but that wasn’t even the real problem. We ordered two martinis with grey goose to start and the waiter came back to tell us that they don’t serve grey goose, we asked for kettle one and we’re told that they don’t have kettel one either and settled for stoli. We ordered the burrata and the cauliflower to start and both were delicious. For entrees, we ordered the flank steak and the pork which later arrived cold, as if it was sitting for a while before being brought out to the table. I informed the gentlemen who was pouring water and picking up my empty martini glass and he responded with “do you want me to get your server?“ I responded with “you better get be somebody” especially if he cannot help. The manager (Daniel) came and informed him of the cold entrees and he did apologize and said that he would take care of it. I asked him to please not microwave it to which he said not to worry and that he wouldn’t since food is made or heated in the ovens and asked if I would be okay with him taking my bitten pork and steak to what I assume he was going to heat up. He then said not to worry and that he would bring out a new flank steak and pork but at this point we said that we just wanted to leave and asked for the bill for our drinks and appetizers. Daniel again apologized and said to ask for him when we return and took off the drinks from the bill. I appreciate the gesture but we drove here from downtown Miami for a positive experience, regardless of the price and this was a huge let down. I know they just opened and are new but you don’t expect this kind of service from a restaurant trying to be at a higher caliber.
