I frequented Bovisa for five years as a student and I bitterly regret having only recently discovered this place. The pupusas are delicious: I had one with beans, jalapeños, and cheese, one with loroco and cheese, and one with cheese and beans. All creamy and flavorful. The accompanying salad is the best sauerkraut salad I've ever had: spicy, just the right amount of acidity, and crunchy, it's incredibly satisfying. For all this plus a bottle of water, I paid €7—very reasonable. The service may not be exactly five-star, but they're always very welcoming, and every time I've been there, I've had no problems. Definitely my top recommendation for lunch, especially considering the value for money, which is significantly worse at other places in the area.

As Always my honest review. Well, Well it was a surprise for me, to find a Pupuseria in Milano. Not a good neighborly, But the place was ok. You need to visit during the day, because is a very dangerous area. feels that you are in El Salvador even when you speak Spanish the personal answer you well, but the owner she answer with long face and the hush hush accent. The food very good, the tamarindo drink was excellent.

Not representative of salvadorian. Not welcoming, makes you write your own order and they just pick up the paper even though you speak spanish. the menu only has pupusasbut the table next to us was able to order sopa de rez. the curtido was dry, never seen that ( im from salvadorian parent) the only positive is the orchata was really good

Very bad experience..wait staff was very unprofessional. Our server literally sat down next to us to eat his lunch and was not attentive at all. We needed other things and he did not even bother to ask if we needed anything else when eating in the next table. The pupusas are ok. For anyone wanting great pupusas with great service I recommend Karina's pupuseria instead. Visiting from out of the country you definitely don't want service as rude and frankly as uninterested in your business as Don Nelson. Stay away!!!!
