Complimenti davvero, e a prestissimo.
Vi consiglio brocche in vetro colorate. In ogni caso locale consigliatissimo. Ottimo il limoncello della casa.
Esperienza unica, cibo di Prima qualità e servizio impeccabile. Banco macelleria a tua scelta. Consigliatissimo.
Delicious! Good place for meat lovers. You choose what you eat. Great choice of the meat. Dont worry if you are lost in the choice in the meat counter, the friendly butcher will help you. Choose a table outside, order a glass of Primitivo enjoy your meat and bustling atmosphere of Naviglio Grande
We had a great night! It’s a bit confusing to start out but once you’ve placed your order at the butcher counter your evening is off to. a great start. Service was efficient and kind. We ordered a large cut for our table of 4. It was cooked to perfection. Sides were delish. Portions were a bit small. Good for 2 people though. Deserts were delish and the liquors at the end were a nice touch. Would recommend if you want something different from pasta/ pizza!
A different dining experience at this bustling ‘butchery’ styled restaurant. We love that we chose our ‘customised meat’ at the counter and everything is cooked to order. Wines served in the jug 500ml, great sides, breads and special dessertsL. Not to mention the dining area is big and nice. Only that one table we sat that people tend to squeeze past. Note that you order once and if you need additional orders you have to join the counter queue again which we didn’t as it got very crowded after our first servings of food came. An experience to share with friends and family. The fennel salad is so good we came back to take away.

Really cool place. It is a butcher where you choose the meat and they cook it. It is a bit intimidating if you dont speak italian or know the meat. But it is very good and quite the experience.

Amazing experience! The best meat we ate in Milan (and we ate a lot of meat in Milan!). Highly recommend the Fiorentina Steak, yet we tried almost everything and everything was delicious.

We visited this restaurant twice during our stay in Milan and were really impressed. First of all, the interior design is absolutely beautiful warm, stylish, and very cozy. It’s one of those places where you instantly feel comfortable. Second, the meat is simply outstanding. Fresh, perfectly cooked, full of flavor probably the best steaks we’ve had in a very long time. Now, a couple of things that could be improved. The staff are not particularly friendly or welcoming, which feels a bit disappointing for such a high-level place. A smile and a bit more warmth would make a huge difference. The second issue is the ordering concept. Before you’re seated, you have to choose your meat and drinks at the entrance. The problem is, the entrance area is very small and gets crowded, especially in the evenings when groups arrive. Only one person takes all the orders, explaining each cut of meat in detail, so the line moves extremely slowly. People end up waiting for quite a long time, standing in a tight space and we saw quite a few guests just leave because of that. It would be much better if guests could sit down, enjoy a glass of wine, and order their food from the table it would make the experience so much more relaxed. That said, the food and atmosphere are fantastic, and we truly hope the restaurant rethinks the ordering process. We’ll definitely come back next time we’re in Milan.
I would like to thank you for your excellent service. Our waiter was called Cesare. An Italian name that is easy to remember. ;-) He was extremely attentive. He did not represent the usual experience in other restaurants with exaggerated friendliness, or you almost have to dance on the table to get their attention. Or where they ask you x times if everything is okay before you've even taken your first bite. He was attentive, friendly, always kept an eye on whether we needed anything else, and spoke fluent English. As for the food, I have to say that the meat was a little dry. But thanks to the excellent service, I would definitely come back and recommend it to others.
As a meat lover, I think I have found a little heaven for myself to chill in it. To hand pick our own meat was definitely an interesting experience. The vibe is very energetic for sure! Depending on the seats, the energy level might be hard to talk over it. But for having a casual night definitely it is one of the place I will come back. The steak was done perfectly, it so tender and juicy. We had our medium rare steak, it was done to perfectly and done forget to have sides as well!

I chose this restaurant after seeing all the positive reviews and was looking forward to trying it out. The concept is quite interesting: you get your table number first, then head over to the butcher counter where you choose and order your food, and it gets delivered to your table shortly after. On a Thursday evening, our food arrived within about 15 minutes, but there were not many people. The place itself is cosy and the general staff was friendly and helpful, though the butcher was a bit less warm and not as welcoming. They served a small appetiser while we waited, which was actually quite good. However, as for the main dishes (cotolettadi pollo, bombette, salsiccia, tartar), the quality was ok, but nothing really stood out. The food wasn’t bad, but also didn’t leave much of an impression—just kind of in the middle. We didn't pay much, about €60 for 2 people, including some wine.
Il Mannarino in Navigli offers a solid dining experience, but there are a few areas that could be improved. The interior, while clean and functional, could benefit from a more polished and inviting…
We had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. It was our first time visiting, and we understood that ordering meat is done at the counter. I asked the staff member for a recommendation suitable for three people, but instead of explaining the options, he immediately grabbed the largest cut of beef (which we were told is meant for 6-7 people) and started cutting it without saying a word. I had to stop him and ask if there was something smaller. He then grabbed another cut, again without any explanation or communication, he only did after I asked. On top of that, we ordered three steaks and were told they all had to be cooked to the same doneness, which is not reasonable - any normal steakhouse would allow different doneness preferences for each steak. Throughout the interaction, he rushed us and pressured us to order additional dishes even after we said the items we ordered would be enough. His attitude was unpleasant and made us feel uncomfortable and unwelcome, which really ruined the experience for us. To be fair, the other waiting staff were friendly and the food itself was okay. However, the poor service at the counter left us feeling disrespected as tourists. Unfortunately, because of this experience, we would not return or recommend this place.
Very strong tourist trap vibe. As soon as we walked in and up to the butcher, he took up the biggest piece of steak with NO PRICE listed on it (all others had clearly labeled prices) and started chopping it up - I had to stop him and ask for the price first and he told us it was €68 for 1kg. We weren’t even given an opportunity to tell him how much we wanted and he eventually cut up a 1.1kg piece, when I appeared unimpressed at this he just shrugged and said “it’s impossible to cut up exactly what you want” (but we had never even confirmed that we wanted 1kg). The steak turned out to be really really bad - very dry and tough, and impossible to chew. It’s very obvious to us that the steak simply wasn’t tempered and cooked properly which is no surprise because of how quickly they were able to serve it. We can tell because the exterior is very charred and the interior is still very pink, with a grey band of overcooked meat around the outside. We also ordered a pasta which was almost inedible and we had to send it back. It was so incredibly dry with dried up sauce and the plate was very hot when they served it, which gave me the impression that it was microwaved/heated up (definitely not just cooked). Literally the worst pasta we have ever had in our lives. In all fairness, they accepted that we had to send the pasta back and took it off the bill. And when we went to pay the bill I had a conversation with the manager about the steak and he actually immediately said “how about we give you this meal for free”. However, the fact that he so quickly gave in and offered us a free meal without any defence or explanation did make us wonder whether this is something that has happened before or that he knows to be an accurate description of the quality of their food? In any case, would recommend to avoid since there are so many restaurant options.
visited this restaurant on September 21, 2025, after reading many good reviews and decided to give it a try. 1. Food: The food was decent. I had the T-bone steak along with some sides. It was not particularly impressive, but acceptable. 2. Service Issue: The real problem came from the service. I requested an outdoor table in the garden, where only one of nine tables was occupied. When I asked the staff (later I learned her name was Alyssa), she immediately said no tables were available without even checking. After insisting, she said all the others were reserved but still sat me at a table directly next to the only occupied one. It wasn’t smooth, but I accepted it. The bigger issue arose after I placed my order. When I returned to my table, the guests next to us were smoking. My wife and I don’t smoke and wanted to avoid disturbing them while also not being exposed ourselves. I politely asked Alyssa if we could move to another table. Instead of discreetly accommodating us, she walked straight over to them, pointed at me, and said, “The guy is complaining about your smoking.” This was both humiliating and completely unnecessary. To their credit, the guests were polite and stopped, but this was not at all how I expected the situation to be handled. I even asked to cancel my order at that point, but the request was refused because the food was already being prepared. A different male staff member later intervened and moved us to another table, which helped, but the damage had already been done. 3. Management Response: The restaurant was far from full (only 5 out of 9 tables were occupied during my time there), so I am unsure why I was originally told that all tables were booked. I also spoke with the store manager about my experience, but his response was dismissive—he simply said, “Ok thank you. Nice to meet you.” It felt like a polite way of brushing me off rather than addressing the concern. Overall, this was the only dining experience in Italy where I felt truly mistreated. I’ve visited many restaurants across the country over the years and never experienced such unprofessional service. I am sharing this review so that future guests can make an informed choice. For us, it unfortunately ruined what should have been a pleasant evening
