The food and atmosphere were great! We had the Innkeeper’s Platter, Crispy Risotto, and Risotto with Ossobuco and enjoyed them all. The service however, was even better. The staff were very friendly and we had a great time conversing with them throughout the night! Would highly recommend!

Please if you want to visit this place I highly recommend you book. This was my 2nd attempt at visiting. I thought I wouldn’t reserve on a winters Monday night but I was very lucky. Arriving at 1900 on a cold wet Monday December evening (first client) by the time I left at 20:30 the place was filled and also people braved the outdoor sitting area which does look cosy. Many diners could not be accommodated that didn’t reserve and looked disappointed. Serving traditional Milanese classics in a modern setting with an excellent wine list. Capacity of the inside dining area is around 50 pax and outside maybe 20. Every seat was filled and serval already turned during my stay. I tried the La tradizonale cotoletta orginale (veal chop); very generous portion and too much for me. This seemed a very popular choice amongst diners in addition to the pork cutlet and Ossobuco with traditional saffron risotto. Everyone seemed to leave happy! Service suffered a little with the business of the restaurant and I waited a long time for main to be cleared. Rest was faultless. Definitely a place to return too 👏

Una pranza fantastico!!! The Osso Buco was so good, my husband ordered a second portion! My veal was lovrly as well. The 2020 Carpineto Brunello di Montalcino was amazing. Our table wasn't ready, so we were treated to a glass of Prosecco and Mondechii dell trarizione! And, as the restaurant emptied after lunch (14:30), we started chatting to our waiter, and when he learned that it was our anniversary, we were treated to a beautiful desert with the Espresso that we ordered. A really wonderful experience. Grazie mille!

Risotto made al dente! Meat assortment appetizer was an amazing selection of sausage and cured meats! Delicious! Milanese cutlet was made correctly and tastes great. Olive oil was cold pressed and fresh.

Raccomandatissimo! My husband and I wanted a restaurant that served traditional dishes of Milan - this is the place!! The food was delicious, and the servers were truly wonderful. We had fried polenta (plus two complimentary mini meatballs) as a starter. I had spaghettoni with green broccoli sauce, which I loved, and my husband had Milanese Saffron Risotto with veal Ossobuco (prendiamo due piccioni con una fava :) Wine list was very good, also. Nice selection of Alto Adige wines (I had a glass of Weissburgunder) and my husband had a glass of Brunello (by the glass! He was thrilled). We did treat ourselves to dessert with panna cotta. Perfect ending to a perfect dinner.

This place is really nice. We didn't have reservations and they were able to accommodate us after a short wait. We went back to the bar to get some drinks and then they told us they had a table for us. The good was delicious and the staff was very friendly. The service was really good and the wait staff was very courteous and professional. The portions are large too day the least. Great atmosphere as well.

Arrivato a Milano per un colloquio, scendo in stazione centrale e cerco un locale che pissa lasciarmi piacevolmente sorpreso. Navigando on line resto colpito dal sito dell' Osteria De Milan. Devo dire di aver fatto centro . Locale molto carino ,moderno, ma allo stesso tempo respiri milanesita '. Ci hanno offerto un entree 'con una polpetta e una salsina ottima Mangiato un' ottima orecchia di elefante gigante. E devo dire che era veramente gigante. Ma soprattutto di ottima fattura. Panatura croccante che non si staccava dalla carne . Sotto la cotoletta un letto di patate e pomodori. Tutto accompagnato da maionese e senape a parte. Abbiamo bevuto acqua ,ma hanno comunque un' interessante carta di vini (anche al calice ) e birre. Rapporto qualità prezzo ottimo come tutto il pranzo.

Un po' di disorganizzazione, abbiamo prenotato ma poi non c'era il tavolo. Abbiamo mangiato fuori e siamo stati comunque bene. Il cibo però è davvero ottimo, personale gentile e soprattutto prodotti tipici milanesi che sono diventati ormai cosa rara

Ho apprezzato molto la polentina con fonduta e la milanese mentre i pizzoccheri insipidi ( sembravano un po una pasta con le verdure sbollentate che mi faccio io in periodo diete non sale no olio super naturali per intenderci ) prezzi ok servizio anche

Bell'osteria. Cibo buono, cotoletta davvero ottima, prezzi nella norma. Unica pecca abbiamo perso i mondeghili come antipasto (8€ per 5 pezzi) quando ce li hanno poi anche portati come benvenuto. Per il resto tutto ok!

Il servizio è la nota più positiva, disponibile senza essere invasivo. Il menù non è ampio, anzi ristretto, poca scelta con i principali pochi piatti "milanesi". Mondeghili buoni e anche la cotoletta, i primi meno, tuttavia non ci sente in un'osteria come dice il nome (l'osteria è un'altra cosa). Forse se non avesse adottato questo nome ci sarebbe meno aspettativa. Parere personale.

Food was great and authentic! My husband and I had the coated egg dish with shaved truffles, La Tradizionale, Risotto alla Milanese con l’Ossobuco di vitello in gremolada, and tiramisu. They were all very delicious and reasonable priced compared to what you get at other restaurants for quality. We also had very nice waiters who were students from Kazakhstan. They were super polite, helpful, interesting, and funny. It made our night. They helped us translate some of the ingredients in English. The vibe at the restaurant was great. It’s not too loud. There were many locals donning and socializing over wine. I strongly recommend this restaurant, especially if you’re looking to try traditional Milanese dishes!

Sono stato all'Osteria de Milan in pausa pranzo l'altro giorno con una collega e, devo ammetterlo, è uno di quei posticini con alti e bassi che ti lasciano un po' pensieroso. L'ambiente è davvero piccolo e intimo, ti fa sentire subito a casa, quasi in una trattoria d'altri tempi. Si vede che cercano di ricreare l'atmosfera della vera osteria milanese. Un punto a loro favore è sicuramente il personale: il servizio è stato estremamente cortese, i ragazzi in sala sono gentili e attenti, cosa che al giorno d'oggi non è scontata. Il menù è quello che ti aspetti da un'osteria: molto tradizionale, propone i classici della cucina locale. Per me, non potevo non prendere un piatto simbolo, il risotto giallo (alla milanese). E qui arriva la nota dolente. Il riso, ahimè, aveva decisamente passato la cottura. Era troppo cotto, quasi sfatto. In più, la mantecatura non era proprio delle migliori, risultando un po' slegato e non cremoso come dovrebbe. Un vero peccato per un classico. La mia collega, invece, ha ordinato un uovo impanato e fritto che, a sentir lei, era davvero il pezzo forte della giornata. Me ne ha decantato la bontà per tutto il pranzo, quindi immagino fosse eccezionale! L'Osteria de Milan ha il cuore al posto giusto, si sente nell'ambiente accogliente e nella cortesia del personale. Essendo stato in pausa pranzo, magari la cucina era sotto pressione, ma purtroppo sul risotto c'è stato un inciampo non da poco, che in un locale che punta sulla tradizione non dovrebbe succedere. Magari sono stato sfortunato con il piatto. Tornerò per provare altro (magari quell'uovo fritto!) e dare una seconda possibilità alla cucina. Per ora, l'esperienza è stata un "ni" per via del risotto.

Carina la location. Cibo dipende: ossobuco niente male, riso giallo bocciato. Antipasti buoni, uovo nì. Dolci terribili (tiramisù bocciato, sembrava vecchiotto; panettone con la crema bocciato pure lui). Posto da turisti: va bene se non avete grandi pretese sul cibo e cercate una zona raggiungibile coi mezzi dove si possa trovare qualche locale per il dopocena. Se invece volete autentico cibo milanese, andate altrove.

In cinque a cena, un antipasto, una portata, un dolce a testa, 2 bottiglie di vino e 2 acque, per 50€ a persona: prezzo onesto. Atmosfera un pò piatta (troppa luce, troppo rumore, troppo poco spazio fra i tavoli). Abbiamo mangiato benino: senza problemi, ma anche senza acuti. Servizio gentile e abbastanza veloce. Ci tornerei, ma non sarebbe la mia prima scelta. P.S. La frutta nel tiramisù non si mette. Se proprio devi, almeno puliscila... (esempio paradigmatico della qualità a tavola)

Domenica a pranzo: avevo freddo, ambiente poco riscaldato, e la porta d'ingresso non aiutava in uno spazio ridotto. Riso al salto buono. Uovo sodo fritto una bella scoperta. Salsa al grana in entrambi i piatti, bastava anche meno. Cotoletta ottima. Prezzo medio alto. Vino consigliato buono.

Servizio lentissimo, abbiamo aspettato 20 minuti che sparecchiassero il tavolo e alla fine abbiamo dovuto chiederglielo noi perché non arrivava nessuno, e poi altri 10 minuti per ordinare i dolci. Molto rumoroso. Cibo nella norma, alcuni piatti erano freddi e porzioni piccole

Very disastrous dinning experience. Kitchen completely messed up. Waiters were incompetent. Food was so so. Absolutely overrated. We were one of the earliest parties for the dinner time. We finished appetizers early. Waiter took our plates and utensils but the main courses seemed to never come. As every tables ordered similar food, our deep fried veal and risotto went to many other tables arrived later than us. We asked the waiters three times when our food arrive and why other tables had priority over us, the waiters only said the kitchen was cooking ours. But dishes still only went to the other tables. On the forth time, we complained to the lady owner (the one on the photo) but it still didn’t help much. The food only arrived almost an hour after we finished our appetizer. This absolutely ruined our appetite. Fairly the food quality was so so. Risotto was too watery and the deep fried veal chop was too dry. The restaurant is certainly overrated
