We arrived at the restsurant few minutes before noon on Monday. Perfect! Not many guests yet. Half to an hour later, the place was fully occupied. How did i know this place? I asked DeepSeek! It recommended me lot of good places to eat and shop in Milan. Did we lounge the food! Certainly! Enjoyed the seafood pasta, cheese pizza, steak, salad ... Very good service and very nice ambiance
On the square of the Duomo, with a view directly looking at the Duomo, and with two restaurants behind. They have the friendliest under boss and staff, and the best pizza in town, (found out the owners are from Napoli, no wonder), light and airy crust and light sauce, exactly how you’ll find it in Naples. Other dishes are good too, stay away from spaghetti carbonara, al dente but nothing like the real carbonara in Rome. Saw lots of locals also dine there, I strongly recommend this place.
My cousin who is a model in Milan, told us to go to Pino. She said, “it’s the local spot near major attractions that’s a bit more low key but has great food and service. Not a tourist trap”. She was 100. The food here is amazing! The drinks were great. The staff grew more and more friendly as they saw us three days in a row. Never been a fan of lasagna, but Pino’s lasagna is the best Italian dish I have EVER had. Great prices as well, and all locations a stones skip away from the great Duomo. Truly a great experience we were satisfied with every time! Thanks Andrea!
31.05.2024 Great experience. The restaurant is located adjacent to the famous Vittorio Emanuelle gallery, but the entrance is on the outside, from a side street. It’s quite shielded from the crowd and noise of the main gallery. The only downside is that it may be a little bit harder to find. When we visited, it had extended to two buildings that were across the street from each other. There’s a digital version of the menu, you just have to scan the QR code on the cardboard sign. There’s wifi, the password is also on the cardboard. The staff speak good English. Our main waiter was polite, attentive and knowledgeable. He was very briefly assisted by a younger colleague who couldn’t tell one drink from another and was soon given less challenging tasks. We had the classic Lasagna (layers of pasta with meat, cheese and tomato sauce) and the Ravioli Capri (pasta filled with cheese, tomato and basil sauce), which were in the special menu. When it came time to choose what to have for dessert, the waiter brought us a tray with every type of cake on it. Very nice and fancy. We had the lemon cake and the pistachio & white chocolate cake. Both yummy. They also have tiramisu, cheesecakes, a rum pastry and other varieties. The drinks were amazing. We were greeted with complimentary champagne, which I found much tastier than I expected (as I usually don’t like most champagnes). But the best surprises were the Pistacchiello and Meloncello, drinks related to the classic Italian drink called Limoncello. I’m usually quite picky about alcoholic drinks (my taste buds are weird), but I think I could drink this pistachio liqueur until I get drunk. It’s delicious. At the end of the meal, we also received 2 more tiny bottles of melon and pistachio liqueur for free (in addition to the free champagne). We felt spoiled and happy. I would definitely eat here again.
The girls on our trip wanted pasta and pizza for the fellas - look no further. Good on all fronts - loved the staff and location. Highly recommend

I ordered the ravioli con zucca e formaggio. The ravioli was cooked well, reaching a proper al dente texture. The cheese filling was light and restrained, not overly pungent or aggressive, allowing the dish to remain balanced rather than dominated by dairy. The portion of filling was well judged, generous enough to feel satisfying without overwhelming the supporting elements of the plate. The pumpkin sauce was clean and straightforward, with a clear emphasis on freshness. The natural sweetness of the pumpkin came through without unnecessary frills, which I appreciated. Overall, the dish was well balanced and competently executed, though it did not leave a particularly lasting impression. In terms of atmosphere, I sat outside in the evening and was comfortable throughout, with sufficient heaters providing warmth. Service was generally good, and most of the staff were polite and welcoming. However, the experience ended on a sour note due to the cashier, whose attitude felt cold and dismissive, as though I had inconvenienced her. Unfortunately, this negatively impacted what had otherwise been a pleasant visit.
Arrived at Pino’s at the suggestion of another restaurant in Milan. Pizza Napolitana accompanied by good service and an incredible atmosphere, at the footsteps of the Milan Cathedral. Outdoor sitting always pleasant. The view incredible. After dinner, stand up and walk across the plaza. While dining, enjoy the sound of music performed by street performers.

Went there for a drink and dinner. Apertivo was rather bland. Copperto of €6 making two drinks €30. Nice wait staff. Waited an hour but never got offered food. Even got up myself and got a menu. Still no service for food. No complimentary breads with the drinks to allow for the copperto. Beautiful view though of the Duomo. Watched others get huge baskets of breads. Every other drink served in Italy came with a snack of some sort during out 16 day stay.

We had the worst dining experience here. The service was absolutely horrible. Our server, Domenico, was unprofessional from the start. Right when he came up to the table he gave us that “ ugh, Americans” look. When we decided to order risotto instead of pizza, ( they listed focaccia under pizza and it comes cold! at least he clarified it ) he gave us a smirk that felt mocking and condescending. Even worse, we witnessed behavior that confirmed what others have written about in previous reviews — racism. A Korean couple was being led to a back corner table despite several open tables being available up front. It was upsetting to see and really soured the atmosphere. Overall, Domenico’s attitude was worse than awful, and the service made the entire experience uncomfortable. I cannot recommend this restaurant to anyone. Also , be aware they charge mandatory cover fee of 6Euros. Overall, disgusting place, disgusting experience! And , Domenico if you get to read this yes I am VERY PROUD American citizen. You could learn a lot from us about our service culture. You have no class.
I came here with my mom just before noon. The restaurant was completely empty — not a single table taken — but we were seated in the far back, in the darkest, least inviting corner of the entire place. (So i didn’t even know that this restaurant has a great view) No greeting, no eye contact. We were standing right there, but the staff just went on setting up. A white family arrived moments later — suddenly, the tone changed. Big smile. “How many people?” I’m Korean American. Fluent in English. Conversational in Italian. And yes — I noticed the shift. A Chinese couple was eventually seated right next to us — in the same awkward corner — while the rest of the restaurant remained empty. I ordered the Focaccia Pino, which was clearly listed under the pizza section. I said “this pizza please” The waiter looked at me and said, “That’s not pizza. It’s bread.” …Okay? Not sure what part of that required a correction. I wasn’t expecting a steaming pepperoni nor mansplaining. It was listed under pizza. It looked like pizza, we even had it before. Most importantly a cold pizza (he said it’s not a pizza cuz it’s bread with salad and it’s cold) is still a pizza. Another server even brought it over later and said, “Here’s your pizza.” Haha. The food? Decent. (A tad salty) The energy? Off. My mom didn’t think much of it. But me? I left wondering how many other guests got the same treatment and how many didn’t. If you’re fine with okay food and strange service vibes, go for it. If you’re looking for warmth, welcome, or just a seat with sunlight, Milan has better options.
Unfortunately I didn't have a good experience. I ordered Aperol. When I had almost finished it, I noticed that there was a long brown hair in the glass (I'm blonde). Disgusting 🤮 I ordered gluten free pasta bolognese and I’ve had better before, definitely not worth 18€, I didn’t get any parmesan which was mentioned in the menu, I had to ask for it
This is an absolutely terrible restaurant. I visited this restaurant when it wasn’t busy, but it took almost 60 minutes for the main course to arrive. The steak was burnt and tasted bitter, the burrata had a strand of hair in it, and the wine glasses were dirty. Even the wine itself was mediocre at best. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience.
Location is good, foods are not that bad, and the price seems reasonable. However, I didn’t like the way of services by the restaurant and their staffs’ attitudes. They seem to be well trained to take out the empty plates as soon as finished, and even if the server forgot the main menu I ordered (served 20-25 minutes later), they never apologized. Lastly, I didn’t like the breads in the doggy bag.
