I have only been there twice, but they are two of the highest quality, most memorable meals I have ever had. The service has been top-tier, the seats and tables are comfortable, the booths are thoroughly gangster, and the dessert menu is off the chain. Now that they are serving brunch, I can see myself traveling up there from Half Moon Bay at least once a month. It is so darn good. I must ask what the heck you are doing reading this review when you could be eating at the Buckeye Roadhouse?

Our first time at the Buckeye Roadhouse was a wonderful experience... Food was delicious! Service was attentive. Food was served in a timely manner. Oysters Bingo are fantastic! Similar to Oysters Rockefeller, these are a notch up in my opinion... Sorry my picture of the oysters was after they were eaten. They were so good I forgot to take a before picture!

While researching some fun things to do for our anniversary I stumbled across Buckeye Roadhouse on Instagram. I’m so glad - the patio was perfect, semi enclosed and heated once the sun went down. The service from everyone was friendly and seemed genuinely caring. The food - so good. We had cocktails to start with Oysters Bingo and chicken wings. I had the shrimp and bacon salad, my husband loved the ribs, and we enjoyed fantastic key lime pie. Definitely hope to visit again.

Solid, slightly elevated comfort foods accompanied with great service and a cozy atmosphere. If the staff weren't dressed for a fancy night out, you wouldn't think it was that upscale from just the menu. Excellent meal, we had the Parker House rolls, the best we've had., the Bread crumbs in place of croutons allowed for a crouton in every bite, delicious. We had the Sole and the Smoked Brisket, both we will do again.... Once we have had a chance to get to the rest of the menu. The desserts were, hate to sound boring, but near perfection, the S'mores toasted marshmallow as well as the Key lime pie meringue were done very well, chewy, crispy coated... We'll be back, several times for sure

I got the pork chop medium, and it was by far the best I've had. In my party, others got the ribeye, salmon and chicken. We kind of shared everything and the consensus was that the pork chop was the best by far

The smoked wings were incredible - great balance of smokiness with the vinegar and heat. Our server was attentive and exceptional. Always there when you needed something but never in the way. My skirt steak was oddly sweet, but otherwise well executed. I would get the coconut cream pie again.

Charming Spot with Great Vibes and Tasty Food! We stopped by Buckeye Roadhouse without a reservation and were lucky to get a seat in the lounge/bar area — and honestly, it was perfect! The atmosphere is cozy and stylish, with a touch of historic charm. The old building has so much character, and the food was delicious. From the decor to the service, everything felt thoughtfully put together. Even without a table in the main dining room, we had a great experience.

Growing up in Mill Valley, now being a Restaurant Manager, I can honestly say that the Buckeye Roadhouse can use some improvements. The last time I was there, in 2025 I sat at the bar, ordered drinks, ate dinner, everything was delicious. When I decided it was time to use the bathroom, I got up and went to the restrooms. I came back, the woman next to me explained how the Bartenders thought I skipped out on my bill. “They were searching for you, thinking you weren’t going to pay!” 🤔hmmmm. Did I do something to give them that idea? Do I look like a criminal? I didn’t make much of it and went about my dining experience, knowing that I was judged for maybe wearing a sweatshirt and beanie. Yesterday, I came across a similar situation. After I ordered my drink and some appetizers I noticed the Bartender Brian, decided to print out a bill for me. The only person in the bar to have one sitting in front of them. I said very politely, “Hey Brian, I’m still going to order food.” He looks at me, “Oh, good for you!” In a very condescending and rude manner. I truly don’t understand how Brian can be so disrespectful to the people who are tipping him. I decided to order a dessert and make my way out knowing that the disrespect is stemming from me not looking a certain way. He’s discriminating for what reason? I tipped him over 30% after he forgot that I ordered dessert and did not put in the POS. I had to leave, next day learning my own lesson from a restaurant I’ve been to going to since I was young. Do not go to Buckeye Roadhouse thinking you’re treated as equal. Last time I checked, Brian is in the hospitality business. Maybe a lesson for Brian, keep treating patrons horribly, still get a big tip? 🤔

The behavior we experienced at this restaurant was unacceptable. The host at the door , a blond male at the entrance, repeatedly tried to make us leave by giving inconsistent and escalating wait times—first an hour and a half, then two hours—after we said we were willing to wait. He ignored us initially and spoke in a dismissive manner. His attitude and actions felt racially biased and made us feel unwelcome. His behavior was racist, and this kind of conduct should not be tolerated.
