If you’re looking for a boba spot that actually stands out, 3catea is it. Their menu is super creative, with unique combinations you don’t see everywhere, and every drink feels thoughtfully crafted—not just sugary, but full of flavor. The drinks are genuinely delicious with outstanding flavors, but the real star for me is the RiceFrost drink with water chestnut popping bobas 🤤. The texture is amazing—creamy, refreshing, and then pop!—those water chestnut bobas add such a fun crunch and freshness. It’s one of those drinks you keep thinking about after you leave.
The drinks were good and unique! I feel like I got something new coming here which was nice. I got a mochi barley burst, and my friend got a avocado mango drink. I would say this is definitely a place worth trying out if you are looking for something new.

Good milk tea place. Inside is pretty simple and has seats. Two self order kiosks, one at register and one at the side. Milk tea is good and has a good amount of selection. The wait time for a single drink was about 5 minutes at 2:30 PM on a Monday.
Rice Frost is so unique—creamy, lightly sweet, with a comforting rice aroma. Perfect cozy drink! Great environment!Definitely best place hang out with friends!

My favorite boba tea in bay area! The sweetness is just right for me. Never miss their mochi series, their size is relatively Small though.

Have not bought a Boba drink lately. 7.50 plus tax. Not much expectation for services. If this place and other would teach their employees to say hello to customers when we walk in, customer will be more at ease.
One of my favorite milk teas in the Bay Area! Their tea has a unique and delicious flavor and the bobas are perfectly chewy. Unique cat decorations inside. Only minus one star since they aren’t super friendly and charge extra for a bag even when you’re buying lots of drinks.

My friend tried soybean Dan Cong milk tea. That is not our taste. But people who love soybean milk tea could have a try. It is a great place to order a drink for togo.

Very long waiting time on a sat night. Looks like they don’t have enough staff. Ordered avocado mango drink, barely any avocado flavor, tastes just like mango milk. Not recommended.

But each time one client picked up the drink, the staff responsible for serving pickups turned around to make drinks, ignoring the line. After 1-2 minutes, the staff will turn back and serve one pickup client, then back to making drinks. I don’t think this is a good way to handle a line of clients waiting by doing so. As a client, I felt being ignored and waited much longer than expected to get my drink.

jasmine milk tea was 10/10 but i waited over 45 minutes for a singular drink
Have bought in person twice, pricey (2) with good flavor (4), combined 3 stars in store. But for Delivery Platform orders, it's really pricey, like $10/cup without service and delivery fee. Less ICE is 1/3 cup of ice when arrived?! Service is so-so, pretty slow. wrong orders twice, and cannot change/customize toppings (why?).
I’ve always had very consistent drinks here until last night. I ordered a Jade Matcha Latte, but this time it came out slightly sweet. That’s pretty unusual because it’s always been pretty bitter since no sugar is being added. I’m not sure what exactly happened. Was the formula changed? I was pretty disappointed.
We recently moved to the Bay Area from LA and were excited to visit the 3cat store in Milpitas, since we were regulars at the 3cat locations in San Gabriel, City of Industry, and Chino Hills. Unfortunately, this Milpitas branch was a disappointment compared to the others. I always order my drink with two extra servings of boba—and at every other location, they automatically serve it in a larger cup to accommodate the added volume. It’s a small but thoughtful detail that makes sense. But here, they used the same regular cup, so after packing in all the boba, I was left with what felt like half a drink. Definitely not worth the price. We also asked for a cup of ice water, which is standard for my 9- and 4-year-olds after they finish their sweet drinks. In the LA-area stores, we were always given proper cups with cold water—no issue. At this location, they handed us a warm cup of water in a cheap party cup. Not unsafe, but it felt like an afterthought. To be fair, the drink quality was consistent with the LA locations, which we appreciated. But the customer service here was lacking—not rude, just completely inattentive and thoughtless. It’s those little things that shape the customer experience. Honestly, if this level of service were offered in the highly competitive LA market, this store wouldn’t last long. People there have options, and small oversights like these would drive customers elsewhere. It’s also worth noting that this location has the lowest rating of all the 3cat stores we’ve been to, which honestly just confirms our experience. The product is solid, but the service has a long way to go

Extremely slow. There’s no other order there but I still waited for 20 minutes. The staff are chatting, no one cares about your drink

Will never come back, o service at all, and keep people waiting while it is not busy. It does not make you look popular but makes you so unprofessional! After you place an order you can not even find a person to ask. Their price is expensive, but the service and quality of tea doesn’t match the price. Bay Area customers are nice but doesn’t mean the business can take advantage of it~ Not busy at all but keep you waiting for more than 40 mins. If you asked them, they give you a face that this is how it is, why you can not wait, everyone have to wait here. Shifting all the costs onto the customers, including their time, is something I really don't appreciate about this shop. They want to make money but are not unwilling to hire more staff, even though they don't have many orders. They make customers wait for a long time to seem popular. Look at Happiness Hall and Sunrise next door, they have way much more orders but never keep customers waiting for so long and they will communicate with customer.
It was extremely disappointing experience at this boba tea shop. The store manager who’s speaks Cantonese and Mandarin lady had an poor attitude, making the visit unpleasant from start to finish. Her unprofessionalism was evident in her rude and dismissive behavior. Ordered 2 drinks on a Togo app at 12:35pm , the app showed estimated time is at 1:21pm . When I arrived at the store around at 1:00pm , I was curious why take so long to get 2drinks only ? So I asked the lady ( the store manager ) and she said almost ready . Okay , I waited for another 10 minutes, asked them again , she said in a minute , okay , fine . Takes 10 more minutes. In the mean time so many people they’ve got theirs drinks already . I asked the lady one more time , she said it’s packing right now . And finally I got my drinks at 1:40!!! They skip the online orders , and make the walk-in customers orders only , I mean you can just closed the online app as well! She makes customers wait that much longer. But no any apologies!! Considering this experience, I strongly recommend that the shop temporarily close down and retrain their staff, especially the management, to ensure they understand the basics of customer service. This would be crucial for them to provide a more welcoming and enjoyable experience for future customers.
Please be aware of their online ordering system. We made an online order but didn't notice they were closed early. To my surprise, the transaction was posted on my credit card after a few days. I don't know why they accepted orders after closing and why they could successfully charge my card without providing anything. After calling the store, the employee told me they cannot find my order nor refund it. They asked me to call my bank without any apologies. The ordering system is ridiculous. It never sends you any emails or text. Your order page will be refreshed every few minutes until it logs out automatically. You are not able to retrieve your old orders if you cannot remember your randomly assigned order number or get a screenshot before it is disappeared. I cannot imagine I have to get a screenshot as a proof of purchase when just buying a milk tea? And of course I cannot remember the order number so that's why they cannot find it! It asks you to log in with the phone number when ordering, but never sends you anything so what the purpose is for providing the phone number?
The service was terrible. All the drinks I wanted to order were sold out, so I had to settle for a regular drink. Then, when I asked to switch to non-dairy milk, they told me that I needed to order in a different way, which ended up increasing the price to almost $10. Will not return again.
Come for the lack of Jasmine tea, stay for the hostility. A truly immersive experience in being ignored.
Used to be my favorite boba tea place from LA and I told lots of friends about them. However the quality and flavor of the Milpitas store have been declining. The Avocado mango drink used to be my favorite and now it lacks avocado flavor and the mango tastes it from canned mango with syrup. Over the time I ordered 10 drinks and collected 1 free drink that I was excited to get today. When I tried to order my free drink, it only allows me to select from a subset of the menu, none of ones I like. I called the store to ask if they can help me change it manually since it’s just $7.5 off a drink any way, the person rejected me. Very upset day without my drink and they have lost a loyal customer.
