Live music, great food and reasonable.
We loved the food, the service and the atmosphere. Salmon whit shrimp and green sauce, Lagareiro Octopus and dessert Chocolate Cake with ice cream and Chantilly. It was our first time at Lisbon Cafe and it was a pleasant surprise. Lunch on a Week day.
Young couple, the two of us went for dinner on Tuesday. The food was amazing. It was beautiful inside and the sangria was very good. In the end, I asked for an after dinner drink and they gave us port wine on the house. Definitely recommend.
Dinner for six for birthday celebration Excellent food and service. Sat outdoors on a lively night. Live guitar music will be available on the weekends beginning next week. Will definitely be returning
had lunch here with parents recently, normally we frequent another place close by but we decided to give it a shot and glad we did, sat outside and enjoyed the delicious sangria and fresh bread under the shaded patio. the help was very kind and offered their recommendations ,we ate and drank and were happy. the hot antipasto was excellent. i look forward to returning soon, the two beautiful servers from brazil were very sweet and made the time we had more relaxing
FIVE STARS, Dinner on Saturday night was amazingly terrific. Great food, large portions, reasonable prices, attentive staff. You will not be disappointed if you try this restaurant. What an unbelievably awesome experience.
Nice atmosphere, always great service and the food is great too. Highly recommend.
Can't say enough good things about this restaurant! Great food, great staff and service, lovely ambience and great value. I've already recommended to family and friends and will be back
Everything was delicious. We had seafood paella and it was the best meal that I ever had.
Enjoyed the Escargot House style as well as the Paelha Marinheira. Generous portions and good service. We enjoyed listening to the pianist and was glad the staff did not try to rush us. The couple we were with also liked it very much.
Great dining experience. Highly recommend 👌
The beef short rib exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend it!
Great atmosphere to enjoy some authentic Portuguese dishes at reasonable prices. Live music was a nice touch to the evening!
Delicious food, generous portions, and great service!
Wonderful experience! The wait service was very attentive. The food was outstanding! My friend and I shared the seafood special of salmon, clams, mussels and octopus in a garlic butter sauce. Delicious! Will be going back.
We were there tonight with our supper club group of 14. Our experience was wonderful. Management and staff were super attentive and friendly. The food was excellent! Added bonus was the live entertainment by Al Oliviera. We will definitely go back and highly recommend this restaurant.
Food was very good. I think they overcharge my husband food with the Paella Valencia especially it the menu it was less than $30. We got charged for $31+ & we just didn't complain about it at that time especially we liked the octopus salad and steam mussels with White sauce. Hopefully next time, they have to check & be careful when they do the bill for each customers that they would not do it/ overcharge the price.
First time going here. Other than being a beautiful place. The service was incredible. Very nice and patient and friendly. They even give you more than just bread to start with. Salad dressing is out of this world. I had the rabbit and it was amazing and had a ton leftover to take home. I will be coming back. I completely recommend. Finally a place that doesn’t go cheap on you and it feels like a restaurant experience should feel like.
Our favorite restaurant. Food ,service, and atmosphere all wonderful. You may need reservations especially for Friday and Saturday nights.
The food here is excellent!! The service superb! Well worth a visit. It has become our favorite restaurant 💕
We arrived at Lisbon Cafe at 3:00 pm, atfter lunch hour rush and we had the luxury of dining al fresco. The staff were friendly, attentive and knew the details of the menu items. We ordered three appetizers - Grilled Calamari, Bolinhos e bacalhau, Portuguese clams. The sauce of the clams was out of this world! We mopped them out with soft bread! The combination of clam and pork sausage was perfect! The grilled calamari paired well with peppers and tomatoes. The cod cakes were melt in your mouth soft. For main, we ordered Feijoada de Mariscos, Bacalhau a Lagareiro, and Chanfana Cabrito (Braised Goat). The meal was served with salads and rice. We ate everything with gusto and with delightful satisfaction! Great food and exceptional service - this restaurant is a gem!
Food was delicious!!! Our server was also very kind. I got the seafood combo in the green sauce, it was phenomenal. Highly recommend!
OMG! This was my first time eating at the Lisbon Cafe and I was blown away. The atmosphere was perfect and the food was the best I have had in a long time. I ordered the grilled Octopus appetizer and for the main course, I got the braised goat. I thought I had died and gone to heaven. Finished off with Flan and an espresso. Delish!
Excellent neighborhood Portuguese restaurant at reasonable prices. All the dishes we had in our party of four were delicious. My veal steak was excellent, cooked to a perfect medium as requested with a delicious fresh mushroom sauce. Very nice Portuguese red wine at a reasonable price was recommended by the waiter. Excellent service.
Purely excellent! Food is amazing! Service is amazing! Celebrated by birthday here with the family and i was treated like a king!
The food is incredible. We had seafood feijoada, salmon, clams/sausage, and I have had paelha, goat, and other dishes in the past- we have enjoyed every choice every time. Family-style rice and veggies, portuguese vinho, and the beautiful dining room feel every bit like you're in Portugal. The staff are very pleasant and the service is great as well. Muito obrigado.
As I gotten older, I decided to go to more places where people actually act correctly with manners and this place is definitely my go to the restaurant from now on the food is amazing. The service is amazing. They’re sangria has been the best sangria I’ve ever had this place will always be the restaurant for celebrating certain occasions
My second time here. The food is still very tasty! Highly recommend stew goat.
This was the complete package! Lobster Fra Dialvo with plenty is seafood. Included a salad and pasta. We had the grilled octopus with grilled vegetables and the largest calamari I've ever eaten. The service was extraordinary. They kept our glasses full all night. Very reasonably priced. We will be back!!!
I had my baby shower at Lisbon Cafe in March and it was so wonderful! The restaurant was able to accommodate my party of about 65 people for lunch very comfortably. The one thing I really wanted at my baby shower was good food and boy did they deliver! The food was plentiful and delicious! Everyone raved about how good it was. Additionally, the service was impeccable. My guests were attended to the moment they entered the room and always had their glasses full. Jack, the manager, was such a pleasure to work with from the beginning to end.
Amazing, authentic Portuguese food — as close as you can get to Lisbon! You won’t be disappointed! Jack and the team are wonderful hosts — just a great place to relax with good food and live music on weekends!
Went wwith a large group, they gave us a whole room for ourselves; the service was great, timely, polite and good food was fantastic-plentiful, fresh and quite an assoretment
This private space is good for meetings or any celebration. All the staff are very welcoming and very attentive. On the table, they had bread and chips to munch on while we waited for the appetizers. The appetizers that were served were (not featured because I forgot to take, sorry lol) mussels, sausages, shrimp in sauce, meat and cheese plate, stuffed mushrooms, and stuffed clam. DELICIOUS!!!! The entrée options were delicious as well, and I got the pasta with sauce and shrimp. Its always a good time!! Thank all for a great night! Coming back soon!
This is one of the great restaurants in my village. We went there once before and decided to pay them a visit again. Their staff is very cordial and accommodating. Specially our host Marcella was excellent. Food is good as ever; plus environment and ambiance is very nice.
My friend must of told at least 10 times how great the Lisbon Cafe is. He was so right, I loved it!! From the moment we walked greated by the owner. It was a full house so have reservations. The atmosphere is very relaxing, The staff was so nice and on point. The food was so delicious the portions so generous, I had to take half home. The Cappuccino is amazing! The price is more then fair! Everything made for a great night out!
Came here twice recently. Once for lunch and once to have a dinner party with friends. Both were wonderful experiences where the food was great. Probably some of the best branzino I've had in a while and they debone it right in front of you. If you visit on Saturday nights they have live music with a talented singer who will do birthday shout outs. Seems like a special place with a very cool vibe. I've been to Lisbon before and this place surely reminds me of that trip I remember fondly. Thank you Lisbon Cafe!
Ive been going to Lisbon Cafe for years, practically every weekend, when they were located on Jericho Turnpike. Im happy to say that the ambiance has remained the same, as well as the food quality; the flaming pig suasage is a must! Curious if there will be any valet? That’s really the only thing missing.
Update: May 10, 2025. Another amazing dinner last night. I had the special, Filet of Sole with toasted almonds and shrimp. Simply Amazing. The Octopus appetizer was another amazing bite. The flavors were amazing and the Octopus was cooked to perfection. This is a restaurant my friend frequents. Yesterday he invited me to visit. It was cold out so there was no outdoor dining. There was a big party when we went inside so we were directed to the bar area. We had a very quiet spot. The waiter was very attentive but not in any way rushing us. I order unsweetened ice tea which for me is a test as to what will come. The tea was really tasty and fresh. They bring out fresh bread with amazing olives. We ordered baked clams and mussels. The clams were good and mussels were as well. They serve delicious bread so soaking up the juices was really enjoyable. They served a modest salad with home made dressing. Really good! Then I had rack of lamb with potatoes, my friends lobster and stuffed fish. They were beautifully presented.. My lamb was cooked to perfection. It was a lot of food. Dessert was really good. The menu had a lot of good choices. Hard to only pick one. I had the Flan and my Friend the apple dish. The Flan was really tasty and the apple was really good served with ice cream and whipped cream. To die for literally. When we got there it was boarder line lunch menu and dinner. They allowed us to stay with the lunch menu which saved a lot of money. We had a really good time. Want to come back when the outdoor patio is open. Two weeks later we returned. The meal was amazing and the service as good as ever. Posting new pictures. September 15, 2024 We were back again. What an amazing meal. This place rocks. Everything was perfectly cooked. Such an amazing meal. The waiters are so good. I love the outdoor space. The seabass was amazing, the Lobster with pasta was amazing my Octopus appetizer was spot on. Thank you for yet another great dinner.
Mineola is home to many who trace their roots to Portugal. Lisbon Cafe transports you to vacation mode immediately. A very pleasant maitre'd greets you with the cocktail menu. They bring a yummy bread basket to you while perusing their extensive menu and daily specials. We enjoyed a sublime order of steamed class. Fresh, savory broth of garlic, wine, and herbs bathe baby clams urging you to dip your bread to further satiate your palette. For dinner, we ordered the grilled rack of lamb cooked to perfection nestled atop a bed of creamy mashed potatoes and sautéed spinach. Additionally, one ordered a seafood medley with salmon. This, too, brought rave reviews. And despite our full belly, we managed to indulge in a decadent slice of the smoothest rich chocolate cake and creamy Creme Brule. And let us not forget the excellent live entertainment on Friday evenings. It added a festive atmosphere.
We found a hidden gem in Mineola! I dig the restaurant’s style. They have “outdoor” seatings with glass ceilings so you won’t get wet when it rains, and some shadows to make sure the sun won’t be too harsh on the eyes. The salad was good, and the paella was fantastic - portion was good for two people. Service was perfect. ❤️
Best Portuguese restaurant in NY. Located in the heart of Mineola. Phenomenal experience! Delicious top notch food, waiters are very attentive, and super nice atmosphere. I Have been here multiple times, and every time is an amazing experience all around. I always take my out of town guests here, as the food is always superb. Definitely a lifetime customer!
Great service. Large portions! Bread at the table and they also bring you a small salad before your meal. That wasn't indicated anywhere but the server let us know and it was touch.
Food was largely portioned and delicious. Unfortunately we weren't in a position where we could drink but the sangria at the other table next to us came in a giant pitcher and we knew it was great because it just looked tasty without us so much as needing to sample it. Music was a mix of romantic songs for Valentine's Day and other great tunes. My partner and I were practically dancing in our seats at times. Lots more outside seating than inside so the cold months likely dont let them use anything but the tiny inside dining room. I feel bad not giving this place five stars for something they can't control but it was absolutely packed despite certain tables being open. Navigating back and forth and through tables without spilling someone's dinner on them or knocking into waitstaff was challenging, but did not take away from our overall experience. Staff was very friendly and even held our table 15 minutes over our reservation because my GPS had malfunctioned. Cant speak highly enough of this little spot. My partner and I plan to return, perhaps to take advantage of the roomier outside seating during warmer weather.
This restaurant is very popular and busy and I saw why when I went to dinner there recently on a Saturday night. We did not have a reservation so decided to go after 8:30. The place was packed but the staff got us a table in the outside covered area within 10 minutes. The inside dining area is spacious and there was live background music: piano playing singer. We love the outside location which is festively decorated and lit. Service was quick. There is lots to pick from the menu, especially fish, and the portions are generous. Prices are moderate. I am not sure whether they have valet parking because we got a spot on the street right outside the entrance.
Overall food was delicious! The seafood was delicious and fresh. The sangria was good but tasted water down.
Food was delicious! We had Rack 9f lamb, Bronzino and Goat with the antipasto for 2. Cleansiness by the window was not so great....very dusty. Only other issue was when walking in. There was a bathroom like smell...urine which either faded or we got used to it.
Really enjoy the food, get the steamed lobster fish combo in the pot, and pleasant service. Wine list needs more favorites. Very resonable dinner & lunch. Authentic Portuguese atmosphere. Great piano with dinner on Sat nights from Victor El' Magnifico !!
Food was very good. Staff was mediocre. There was a raucous party going on in the very open dining area. Confirm they're not hosting any large groups before making reservations!
Actually, the rating I want to give this restaurant is 4.4.Went to the restaurant today for a late lunch. It was a delayed celebration of my birthday, Mother's Day and my son's first year at the college graduation with a 4.0 average! There were 4 of us: myself, my husband, my son and the mother-in-law. For an appetizers I ordered steamed mussels with wine and garlic and for the table we ordered grilled portobello mushroom appetizer which included portobello mushrooms, stuffed with seafood, stuffed clams, shrimps, grilled calamari and roasted peppers. The portobello mushroom platter was enough for the four of us. The sauce was delicious with a touch of heat in it. I tried the mushrooms and baked clam. The mushrooms were delicious, the clam stuffing was light and tasty. Tried a little piece of the calamari- not a fan of calamari-it was very tender and very tasty. You can tell that it was fresh. My mussels were very tender and were served in a delightful wine sauce with plenty of fresh garlic. Even my son liked the sauce. For the main course I had Sole with Almonds, my husband had Stuffed Sole with seafood stuffing, my son had a Rack of Lamb, my mother -in -law had Shrimps in Garlic sauce. My fish was delicate, flaky and tasty. My husband enjoyed his stuffed sole ( I didn't try it), he said that the sauce was very nice. Tried a bit of my son's lamb-it was tender and juicy. My mother-in-law said the shrimps were very tasty ( I don't eat shrimps, so I didn't try any) but my husband had a taste of them and said they were very flavorful. I trust my husband))) If he said they were good, they were good)) Will return soon.
The food was very good, but on Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights they have music that is so loud that you can hardly talk to your friends.
I've visited Lisbon Café twice and had two different experiences. The first time I went to Lisbon Café for dinner, my family and I had a great time. It wasn't packed and the staff was helpful. We ordered a pitcher of white wine sangria and when we mentioned that it wasn't strong enough, they added more white wine to the mix at no extra cost. We ordered the hot antipasto, paella, branzino, and Portuguese pork sausage. All of the seafood were fresh and delicious. The sausage was alright; although it looked cool to be torched, it was actually overcooked and didn't taste that good. My first experience was so great that I decided to bring my family back again for Mother's Day. Unfortunately, because it is Mother's Day, the restaurant was insanely busy and the staff could not keep up with all the tables. We were seated right away with our reservations but we were probably there for 3 hours. The food took forever to come out and it wasn't the same quality as the first time either. The paella looked undercooked and the rice was soaked in oil. The fried calamari was not crispy; the batter was soggy. The octopus was actually tender but I felt like it could've been more charred. The Hot Antipasto flavors were pretty much consistent as the last time. I would still rate Lisbon Café a 4/5. I understood that because it was a holiday, the restaurant was going to be busy, but I wished they were able to manage everything better.
The taste of the dish is suitable, and the only ingredient will be stale but the price is corresponding. The service attitude is very good. I have been paying attention to the movements of all tables. The atmosphere is good, but the only drawback is a little noisy.
Had the bacalao fritters as an appetizer. They had small shards of bone in them. We each pulled bones out of our mouths. My friend ordered the cod named after restaurant. Had bones. No where in menu does it tell you that their plate is BONE IN. Made meal unpleasant. I had lamb chops. I must say they were thinnest lamb chops ever anywhere. Usually they’re 3 double chops in every place I’ve had them. Here they’re 4 single chops so thin you can’t get them medium rare as I ordered. I’d say go but ask lots of questions.
The food and service were very good, the staff is friendly and efficient. They have live music, which was excellent!!!!!
Food was delicious. Service was great and friendly. Atmosphere was a little loud. Large parties dining while I was there. It was a bit hard to talk or catch up with my cousin from out of state.
Great place to enjoy a quiet meal with family and friends. The menu is diverse in its offerings. Our group enjoyed the signature Portuguese Caldo Verde soup of kale and potato and the mussels to start. Our entrées included the Paelha Valenciana, Stuffed Filet of Sole, Filet of Sole in Green Sauce. The meal included a steady supply of delicious baked bread and butter. The Caldo was amazing in its texture, flavor, and size. The stuffed sole was by far the best of the entrées. It was seasoned well and comes in a very good orange-colored sauce and topped with shrimp cooked perfectly. The meal includes family-style sides of yellow rice and steamed mixed vegetables for the whole table. The paella was good but average as was the mussel appetizer. The filet in green sauce was cooked well and was the second best choice of the entrées we ordered. I would definitely return. BTW, the Portuguese Cabernet we enjoyed with the meal was also very good.
Good food, had codcakes - excellent, skirt steak - average. Waiter seemed not too attentive. But the place was quaint. Overall good.
Portuguese restaurant. I don’t know how it is supposed to taste but food was great in good price. I would come back. I came for lunch but for sure dinner time is the best time to visit
I went here with family after discovering this hidden gem, and it was fantastic. The service? Incredible. The atmosphere? Engaging. It feels as if you walked into a little safe zone with a tiny Portuguese flag waving up top. Definitely one of the Portuguese restaurants in NY of all time. The dish I tried wasn't one of their best, but it still put a smile on my face when I walked out the door. Truly an incredible experience for all Portuguese cuisine fans.
Had the steamed clams the cod bolinhos the lamb chops, steak and shrimp and pasta and chicken. Food was good. Worst thing was one of the servers had dirty nails. Don't have ppl serving food with dirty nails. It kills everything.
Can't believe it took us so long to come dine at Lisbon Cafe! We live locally but it's our first time trying this place and we were all pleasantly surprised. First of all, like other reviews, the service was GREAT! We were brought to the downstairs dining room and the waiter/host was very caring and made sure my parents got down ok. Our waiter was great too and recommended several delicious entrees to us. We really enjoyed all entrees we ordered. The paella we gotten was a bit more soupy than expected but delicious nonetheless. We'll definitely be coming back again.
This is a great place for traditional Portuguese cooking. They have great meat dishes, but seafood is the star ⭐️. Clean facilities. Outdoor dining is available. Private room for parties are available. Nice staff. Reasonably priced, Card payments are accepted. Give this place a try. We will definitely be going back.
I've grown up around a lot of Portuguese food. I'm no expert, but I do have a fond appreciation for the cuisine. My pallet consists of home made Portuguese food and very rarely goes out and seeks restaurants to eat at. I found this place by accident while looking for places to go and try. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants an introduction to Portuguese food. It's got a great homey atmosphere, brick walls and wood beams. you'll forget you're in NY once you step into the restaurant. The food, especially the entrees are on the pricey side. But it's well worth it. The octopus we had was extremely tender. The Cod was flavorful and smooth. The potato and kale soup, an absolute classic and will warm you up. We went on a day where a few families were celebrating. Service was rather slow because of this. But I wish they had some waiters focus solely on walk-ins while the others focus on the parties.
Service was good. Food was just ok. Probably depends on what one orders. It was my first time there. I tried the Mediterranean swordfish, not good, initially was 'fishy' tasting, not hot either, & steamed veggies would have benefitted with a little seasoning or dressing of some kind. The rice was just ok. My girlfriend had the rack of lamb special, nothing special about it though, not as tender as it should have been. Also, not keen on restaurants that don't automatically change your used silverware with fresh silverware between appetizers and entree. I had to ask for a clean knife. The server, Elizabeth was very nice, restaurant atmosphere was nice; the piano man, decor, fireplace(non-working), & restrooms very nice. Had a good time overall nonetheless. Piano man sang happy b-day to one of our party, & Elizabeth served our birthday girl her dessert w/ a candle.
Was seated at table near the bar and kitchen. Ordered several appetizers which disappointed. Service was also slow and not as friendly. Expected better experience for a place under new management but felt disappointed. There are better options in the area.
We went for dinner. Food was ok, not great, not bad either. However the service was unsatisfactory. During the entire 90 mins, the server checked on us only once. No one gave us clean plates or took dirty ones away till the end. When we asked for take-out box to take bread and chips home, the server put the bread directly into the plastic bag without the box and claimed that the bag was clean. We won’t return.
It was my first time here. Overall experience was mediocre. After ordering our food, one of our guests had to go speak to our waiter to remind him that we didn't get our salads after waiting almost an hour. I ordered one of the chef's specials, which consisted of shrimp, mussels, little neck clams, and black sea bass. It was sautéed in a lemon, garlic, and butter sauce. The sea bass was good, but the rest was somehow very dry and overcooked and overall tasteless. 2 others at the table ordered the bone in prime rib (which was also one of the chef's specials) they were cooked medium and medium rare. Both were very difficult to cut, let alone chew. Desserts were complimentary, which was a very nice gesture. They brought us the wrong check. It was double of what it should have been. One of the staff that was cashing us out realized they gave us the wrong bill and adjusted it accordingly. We should have looked at the bill more closely and would have realized it immediately. Instead, we put 2 credit cards down to split the bill. The couple we went with dines here often and raves about the food. Maybe it was an off night for them. I would try it again but perhaps stick to the entrees on the menu.
Took my son here tonight for his birthday and what a disappointment, we waited about 15mins just to get salad and calamari and shrimp appetizer, then another 30mins for linguine and seafood rice or arroz. Atmosphere was acceptable live singing though bgm louder than vocal, then the food salty and felt like they get their seafood from a deli or local supermarket, muscle were only shells barely any meat, one lobster was split into my two main courses, seafood barely had any meat in it. Also bring cash to save yourself $4.5 for using your cc, though we are not coming back
If I could give no stars I would. First off when reservations were made there was no mention of the main dining room being renovated nor on the website so we sat in the bar area. Very tight area. The table was right next to the kitchen area. My mom and I ordered the Veal Chop only to be told they only had 1 so my mom took the chop. I ask about another veal dish and was told they had no more veal. This is at 5:00PM dinner time. So I took the skirt steak. The chop was grizzle and fat and the steak was so tuff. They should not be open during renovations to serve food since the quality was terrible. We've been coming here on and off for years and this was the worst experience ever. We were not even offered some compensation on the bill for this sub-standard food but they automatically posted a 20% gratuity plus if we would like to add additional gratuity. Are you kidding me!!!!!! I do not see my family coming back anytime soon.
My friend booked an event here with reasonable time in advanced, and this place cancelled her reservation for another event with more people. The audacity, the gall, and the most ridiculously unprofessional thing I’ve heard. Do business elsewhere. Shame on you Lisbon Cafe.
Went for dinner last night - very disappointing experience. I do not understand how this place can have 4 stars, they do not seem to be able to run the restaurant smoothly. Perhaps the food is good - but getting it is another story. Arrived around 7:15pm - the outdoor seating area was about half full so we decided to sit out there because of the nice evening. There was no proper host/hostess, so between the 2 waiters and 1 busboy trying to figure out which table to put us on took about 10 minutes despite an abundance of free tables. Finally got seated - unfortunately without menus. One of us walked up and got menus for our table. After about another 10-15 minutes the waiter came over and started speaking in Portuguese, we told him that none of us speak Portuguese or Spanish. He tried explaining specials but mentioned all of them in Portuguese so I was left with no idea what the specials were. We had seen mussels on a different table - so we managed to communicate to our waiter that we wanted that. Perhaps another 15 minutes had passed before another waiter came by to take our orders. Unfortunately he did not speak English either. We asked what the green sauce in Shrimp with Green sauce is, to which he responded, "mole verde" - which one of us figured means "green sauce" - that was his only explanation of the sauce and could not tell us what else went in it. After placing our orders we started to notice that mostly everyone that was siting around seemed frustrated or agitated, several tables had been sitting there since we got seated (nearly 30-40 minutes ago) and had their leftovers packed and ready to go. The wait staff had not brought out the checks. A few tables got up went in to collect their own checks. The mussels came out in the meantime and they were very good, there was a good quantity of mussels and they tasted nice and fresh. Around 8:30pm - perhaps 45 minutes after placing our order for entrees, we were fed up/starving/hangry. No wait staff had stopped by to refill our drinks/water, so we went inside to ask for our check. We ran into the manager who said the kitchen was working on making food but wasn't sure how long it would be. When we said we just wanted our check and no longer wanted to wait, she seemed apologetic and told us we could leave. Despite the mussels being good, the overall experience was so terrible I would never go back and I would not advise anyone to go to Heart of Portugal.
the food is an excellent but the service is disgusting. The wait time till someone acknowledge you is 10 min.and they say sorry. Then they sit you and 30 min later they come and say sorry again.and then they bring your drinks, 30 min later ONY ONE guy who takes every-bodies order comes and says he is the only one who takes orders and he is sorry one more time.and at the end of the meal that the food was excellent the buss boy take an order for cappuccinos disappears and 20 min later comes back and say OPS I forgot and I am sorry again .By the way we had a reservation at 7 PM and we left at 10:30 So for me, it is never again now I am sorry.
One of the lady server has really bad attitude. She took my card for the check, and took really long to give it back. Very poor customer service. She cleaned up our table when we were not even done dining and we had a final dish. She also made a face at us. Never coming back because of her again!
