"Visiting Punjab restaurant was a delightful experience. Its central location amidst several towns in the heart of Portugal made it easily accessible. The food was delicious and reasonably priced, and the service was impressively quick. Highly recommended!”
So glad I ordered takeout because the food was incredibly delicious. Garlic naan, warm, buttery, garliky…..tandoori chicken PERFECT, 10/10, palak paneer, 10/10 flavorful & luscious!!! Goat Karaghi OUTSTANDING. I WILL BE A STEADY CUSTOMER BECAUSE THE FOOD WAS SO DELICIOUS AND IT’S NEAR TO ME AND THEIR SERVICE WAS WARM AND KIND!!!
I'm Colombian, I went to this restaurant today and I loved everything, the food is very good, the service is excellent and the atmosphere is pleasant.
9/9/25 review Ordered from uber eats Food was still hot after driver had multiple stops Followed instructions perfectly Goat curry and goat biryani is Amazing asked for extra spicy too and they did not disappoint Best Indian restaurant in the area for sure
This was my first time coming here as a suggestion from a friend and I will definitely be back. It wasn’t busy for lunch, staff was attentive and the food was tasty. I ordered the Butter Chicken with regular Naan and my friend ordered the Gobi Manchurian. NOTE: I was pleased to know they don’t use peanut oil in their cooking.
Picked up Tikka Masala and a few bread assortments, all fresh and tasty. Great to have a good quality Indian restaurant option in this area. Interior decor of the restaurant was much nicer than I expected! Will have to dine in next. Update 08/22: this place has the best veggie samosas that I've eaten on Long Island, or anywhere else for that matter. Seriously though, although samosas are more expensive than typical Indian or Bengali places, the ingredients taste fresh and high quality and the crust is just perfectly crunchy and chewy. Combine the green sauce and tamarind (brown sauce) it's super delicious. Having ordered it multiple times, the flavors had been very consistent.
This was a nice find. Upon entry, you knew you were walking into a fine dining experience. The manager told me they opened right after covid so have been around for a couple years now. The sizzling plate was the best part of the overall dining experience. We had the special mixed grill and the lamb seekh kebab sizzling plates as the main course and keema paratha with chicken as an appetizer. The mango and strawberry lassi were very rich. It wasn't busy at all and their were several takeout orders while we were there.
Good food. Fantastic atmosphere. The dining room and bar are beautiful. The owner was personable and gave great menu recommendations. I loved the tandoori salmon with yogurt sauce. Also the samosas were delicious! The veggie samosa is bursting with flavor. Their chutneys are SO GOOD. The chicken Tikka and butter chicken were on point (exactly as expected but not exceptional). We had a great time dining in here.
Ordered for delivery. No utensils given even though i indicated it and food was luke warm. Overall my chicken tikka masala was very tasty, great flavor, not spicy (I did ask for medium spicy). But I felt for the portion size it was over priced.
I brought my parents here to try Indian food for the first time, and I was nervous for two reasons - (1) my parents are conservative eaters and I was afraid they wouldn't like it, and (2) I myself had never eaten at this restaurant before. Either way, I was afraid they wouldn't have a good meal. But I held my breath and hoped that the reviews I'd read beforehand were accurate. For the most part, they were. The garlic naan was incredible. My parents went silent when they first tried it, then quietly maneuvered the basket toward themselves while leaving rice for the rest of us. The chana masala and chicken tikka masala were also spot on - rich, saucy, and flavorful. Our salmon tandoori announced its own arrival to our table as big chunks of delicate meat on a sizzling platter. The larger pieces weren't completely cooked through, but we just let them sit on the hot flatware for a minute or two more. Spice babies, beware. We requested 'mild' as the spice level for all our orders because medications have changed my mom's sensitivity to spice. Even then, the heat crept invisibly onto her palate. "I don't know where it's coming from," she said, fanning her mouth. Even as a spice lover, I could detect there a thrum of baseline spice in most of our meals. You might want to temper the spice the way we did - by ordering a mango lassi. I've yet to meet a mango lassi I didn't like, Punjab's included. Here, they include a drizzle of something jammy along the sides of the glass. I didn't think it necessary (the lassi by itself is already fantastic!), but great for those who like their drinks sweet and photogenic. Inside, the restaurant space feels like what I'd call 'upscale casual'. It's nice - in fact, it's a lot nicer than a lot of Indian restaurants I've been in. But it's not the kind of 'nice' that makes you feel like you can't grab a meal here in your sweatpants. There's no dedicated parking lot, but there are a good number of spots along the nearby side streets (just pay attention to street signs that designate no parking days and times).
I ordered the chicken lolipop and I hated it. It was a pain to eat it the whole thing and it's not worth the price at all. The sauce tasted like ketchup with water and lemon juice. The chicken batter was horrible. I received only 5 piece where one of them was already chopped into a small piece. As for the lamb biriyani, it was not bad. It was spicy as I had asked and the meat was tender. However, there was a lack of flavor in the entire biriyani. Lastly, raita was mediocre (will not order that again). I will reorder something else next time to give it another try. Update: tried the food again. Lolipop was different this time and tasted different but not something I ever order again. I was disappointed on the Kathi roll. The kabab was fine but wrapped in a Naan than flatbread as described. The pappadum was burnt on some parts and not fully cooked on another. I forgot to take a picture of it. I think I'm finally done trying this place out. It just won't get better for me.
I ordered delivery for the first time and unfortunately had a disappointing experience. The order arrived without any napkins or utensils, which was inconvenient. I also requested medium spice, but the food was extremely spicy and difficult to eat. Overall, the order did not match the request, so I would not recommend.
This place is a joke, placed an order on Uber Eats by accident, the I try to cancel it but they accepted the order immediately without them even making it yet, and now I’m getting charge 26 dollars for order to be canceled. (Uber isn’t giving me my full refund)
COCKROACH INFESTATION!! I order Aloo Gobi off of seamless, took a couple of bites, and noticed a cockroach in my food. I’m sick to my stomach. When my partner threw out the food for me, he spotted 3 more roaches. I’m appalled that this restaurant is serving food to people with a cockroach infestation. Praying I don’t get sick.
I cancelled the order. The damn shopkeeper was rude to me and told me to wait for 15 minutes. You know, every time I go to an Indian shop, I come across people who are so sad and don't know the value of humanity.
I ordered Mild Chicken for my children and it was so spicy 🌶️ I almost had to bring them to the emergency room. As soon as I got the order I tasted it I told them it was spicy they told me it wasn’t! I wouldn’t ever trust this place! There’s so many other better trustworthy Indian restaurants to go to forget this place!
If you are thinking about going here DO NOT!!!!!!!! If I could give zero stars I would. We came in and were the only people there besides one other table. Ordered veg hakka noodles and chicken lollipop. Noodles were decent but the chicken had the consistency of rubber. After eating half of one (out of five pieces that came) I let the server know and returned it. To which no one came and apologized or tried to make it better at all. Horrible service. And to make matters even worse, they charged me half price for the chicken even though I only had half of one. This is the worst restaurant experience I’ve had in a while. Save yourself the trouble and DO NOT COME HERE!!!!!!
This restaurant has always been my go to but after tonight, I don’t think I’ll ever eat here again. I ordered butter chicken and paneer pasanda and the sauce is so unflavorful and watered down, my boyfriend and I took one taste each and threw it out. Never in my life have I ever experienced such disgusting sauce. The dough in my samosas was raw and undercooked. How disappointing and what a waste of money.
Do not order from here. Have ordered several times. They’re scamming. 6 shrimp with onion. $27 called to ask about it and the manager sunny did not care. He said it is what it is. Update: ended up eating it and the Shrimp was overcooked!! Taste very chewy. Their makhni is pretty good as usual. 0 for customer service. And a 4/5 for makhni. 0 for shrimp. 0 for prices. Why did they change their name from Jassi!!!??? Sketchy. I think they changed management. Not the same as before There are other indian places that are solid
