Very pleasant experience! You don't have to wait until Thanksgiving for turkey. This was the best open faced turkey sandwich I have ever had. I'm a big fan! Atmosphere is comfortable with dim lighting. Service, food and martinis were all fabulous. Can't wait to come back.

Great happy hour drinks and food. Brussel sprouts and Poke Bowl were fabulous. Service was quick as we got there before it got busy and the wait staff was great.

Thoroughly enjoyed all aspects of our dinner, the Halibut was fantastic and perfectly cooked, steaks were perfectly cooked and I greatly appreciated that they offered anchovies for my caesar salad. Their cocktails were excellent, and their wine pours were generous. Save room for dessert, bread pudding was terrific as was the apple crisp. I highly recommend Jimmy's and will be back again soon!

Found this place on restaurant week and didn't expect much. Well... they exceeded all my expectations!! Our server ROCKED!! The restaurant was so comfortable and welcoming on the inside. My party of 6 was sat in a corner booth that was really large and comfortable. We were there just in time to make happy hour which included a number of drink options. The restaurant menu was large and we all ordered something different. Although, I didn't care for the walleye (it said pan fried but there was a breading I wasn't expecting) all of the other options were so delicious!! The Ahi Tuna crips were a fan favorite at our table as well as the strawberry cheese cake. The bathrooms were sit worthy clean!!!

We went to Jimmy's last night and had a wonderful time. They have a massive menu, so we'll be back to try more items. We had 4 dishes and a few apps, and overall, everyone was satisfied. The spinach dip was excellent, halibut was unique, and pastas we shared were well made. Jimmy's also has car seat slings (which aren't very standardized yet). If you're concerned about bringing your baby. A little pricey, but what isn't nowadays.

Thanksgiving dinner was spectacular. What a great Thanksgiving dinner stop. It's Turkey Day for a traditional Thanksgiving or Ham if you like , plus salad or soup and all the trimmings that go with Thanksgiving dinner, don't forget dessert, choices of pies to finish it off. All are included in the price and all you can eat. Thank you for making Thanksgiving simple , Jimmy's Kitchen and Bar. Service was top-notch. It's definitely a great Thanksgiving day stop.

We went for Father's Day brunch and the experience was fantastic. There were lots of options to choose from for entres and the table shared five side items. All food was put together in the kitchen and delivered, due to Covid restrictions. The service was great and very accommodating. I highly recommend. The waiter told us their regular menu is even better than the Brunch.

Had a wonderful 2nd Thanksgiving dinner. Staff was exceptional and friendly. Would highly recommend it if you are not visiting relatives. Order early as they fill up fast. Good food and great service.

Nice Minneapolis establishment. They serve American food, with an emphasis on fish and steak. The environment is pleasant and semi-casual (ok to go in with shorts, but I wouldn't treat this place like a sports pub). The food was good, we liked our dishes of meatloaf (their special recipe), filet mignon, and walleye. (Note: the walleye was cooked with a cornbread batter, rather than a beer batter, but was still tasty.) Overall, good food and good environment, worth checking out.

Ask for Shelly Matheson you will be so glad you did! The crab cakes were great! Champagne Wasabi Halibut really is one of the best all around ways to serve Halibut.

Jimmy’s has the best happy hour in the metro. The wide variety of food is delicious and the service is fantastic. This is a MUST try!

Went here on one of our Google maps let's try this out tours. Was a great pick. Went on a Saturday around 5, bar was jammed packed. So we had a nice birthday dinner. Had the prime steakhouse meatloaf and wife had a filet mignon with a crab cake added. Added a bottle of ghost pines cab at a good price as well. Took our time and had a great cheesecake for dessert. Will be going back to try other items for sure.

Nice restaurant. Hostess and waitress very friendly and nice. Love the atmosphere here. Good food. Update 5/3. Again another awesome experience. Waitress was amazing. The steak was out of this world.

There is a cozy warm feel to the place. It was hard to pick from the happy hour menu with all the great choices. The waitress was amazing and attentive. I definitely will return. If you are in the area stop in!!

Our first time to Jimmy's, arriving at 11:00 just as they opened for lunch. Our server was so helpful in deciding on menu items, and my soup and half a sandwich were delicious! By the time we finished eating, the lunch crowd had filled the dinning room. Jimmy's Kitchen is now on our Favorites list!

Great service. Good food choices. Will def come back again. Came back and completely enjoyed the seafood linguini and amazing creme Brule. Love the lobster guacamole.

I've had two meals at Jimmy's. Both were presented with care and prepared perfectly. This isn't just a local bar & grill. This is a top notch restaurant.

Great Happy Hour snacks and service! The nice little salad is always good. Spaghetti and meatballs could use a little more flavor!! Wings are great!!

For a Tuesday night...this place was crazy busy. Really good food-a bit more spendy than average. I ate light-french onion soup and a side of buttered asparagus. Fresh bread/butter delivered to table too. Service was super efficient!

Jimmy’s has the best happy hour! Why? The menu has at least 25 items-everyone will find multiple choices. And on Saturday HH is 11:00-6:00. Lot’s of TVs. Stopped in today Bloody Mary, Tavern Burger,IPA and PGA . Robert the bartender was excellent. Love this place!

Very good place with a really great service. I ordered a ribeye steak and it came a bit overcooked (well-done instead Medium), and they replaced without complaining... The new steak was amazing. Bon appetit

The service, warm break with butter, drinks, and steaks were all amazing. The sides were average. Overall great choice to celebrate my birthday. We will be back for sure

I went to Jimmy's twice in less than a week. I had fish both times. Crunchy but need a bit more flavor.

It's always a treat coming to Jimmy's. Our server Evan was kind, professional, and provided fast service. I would definitely recommend this place for amazing food, service, and the atmosphere is on point.

Amazing food, especially the brussel sprouts!! Generally a good ambience as well with TVs on one side and fine dining on the other. The clientele does skew a little bit older but that's nothing against the restaurant itself! Parking lot is terrible and the sidewalk connections to the nearby trails are terrible.

Great happy hour. Very polite staff who thanks you for coming in and when you leave. Bar and wait staff are very attentive with very little wait time for ordering, refills, questions or tabbing out. Appreciative of input/feedback or suggestions. Steak bites and take out orders are done correctly!

What an awesome restaurant! We were in town for state football and were looking for a place to celebrate our win with our large extended family. After making a reservation for a large group the manager seated us in a private nook perfect for us. Our server Jessica came in and handled the large meal like a pro! All of the meals were spot on and delicious. Can't thank you guys enough for the great experience!! We will be back again! (with a smaller group 🤭)

I had never been to Jimmy's before and it was suggested to me by a friend as a great place with good food and a relaxed atmosphere so I decided to plan a surprise get together at Jimmy's during happy hour and it was exactly how I envisioned it and the whole process was wonderful. Everyone I interacted with was friendly and helpful. Monet the event coordinator exceeded my expectations! Monet was courteous and professional, had excellent communication with me and answered all my questions and even offered suggestions to help with things that I had not thought of. Monet assisted me during the entire process and made me feel my event was as important to them as it was to me and I can't tell you how appreciated that is! The server we had, Tricia, was so so kind and attentive to our needs and worked very hard to make sure everything went smoothly and we had a wonderful time! I have nothing but wonderful things to say about the whole experience, the food was great, the environment was great, the service was great, our guests had a wonderful time and most of them had also never been to Jimmy's and all said they will be back as will I! I wanted to pass along my many thanks to you and your staff as I truly feel that you have created a caring culture within your staff that is shared with your guests making us feel like family and that is more few and far between nowadays! Again, wanted to share my thanks and pass along what an outstanding time we had!

Went here on Thanksgiving to enjoy a margarita. They only had one yet it was pretty good, the place was packed yet not too loud. Would recommend.

Very nice atmosphere and fairly quick service. Had the melon cocktail with some calamari and a BBQ burger with salt and vinegar fries. finished with a wonderful berry cobbler. I could not be happier with the quality of food they serve. Only negative is the price, but you get pretty close to what you pay for. For me and my wife we split an appetizer, had two main meals, one cocktail, one mocktail, 2 waters, a cobbler desert we split and a dessert wine. All for about $88. if it was about 10 cheaper I would be totally sold on the experience. maybe next time skip the wine? :p

We came here on a Sunday night for dinner. They are offering different lower cost dinner combos between 4:00-8:00 pm, so we tried that. The food was okay. (Crab BLT sandwich and beef tenderloin fettuccine) They have a good selection of drinks and desserts too. Our server was fast and attentive.

We enjoyed a couple of steaks and the salad was delicious. We tasted several craft cocktails which were well mixed our server was attentive.

Very good food but gives a high class vibe but than also a sports bar vibe which threw me off a bit. Would recommend but for the price and quantity wouldn't be an every week thing.

Fabulous happy hour food and drink specials. Roasted brussel sprouts are incredible as is the salmon and the meat balls. Very professional service. Mature clientele but the dim yellow tone lighting and old-school decor could use a refresh. Still, highly recommend for the food and service.

We usually go there for the holiday meal spreads, thanksgiving, Xmas or Easter. Easter is a huge buffet that I highly recommend. The other two are pre-selected items that you only have a couple of choices on. The food overall is pretty good. The Easter buffet is fabulous with everything from prime rib to eggs Benedict. Several items for dessert too. Personally, I think it's a little pricey, about $35 to $40 per person. But you can have as much as you want to eat. The entire staff is top notch and very friendly. Reservations for these events is mandatory.

UPDATE: We've been back and the prime rib continues to be great, the spinach dip was fantastic, but everything else is just ok. We tried the wings and the walleye this time and everything continues to be under seasoned to the extreme. I haven't had to use a salt shaker in years at a restaurant and we were all fighting over it at the table. If you come here only get the prime rib and the spin dip and you will give it five stars. I had to average down to 3 based on everything else. ORIGINAL REVIEW: 4 Stars They have a very good prime rib here in both sandwich and steak form. Would recommend it if you are in the mood for some comfort food as the pasta and other dishes are also very good. The fries are meh, fried crispy but for something called salt & vinegar fries they usually don't have any vinegar and are highly under-seasoned.

We went for a late night happy hour. We got the chicken strips in Buffalo, cheese curds, Angus sliders, and I got a grapefruit margarita. The chicken strips could have used a bit more sauce as they were not even fully coated, but they had a good flavor. The fries were also very cold. The Angus sliders, the cheese curds, and margarita were all good. I've been here before and had better experiences in the past so I hope it was just an off night.

My husband and I recently moved to the area and decided to celebrate our 37th anniversary at your restaurant. My cousin had recommended it to us. Although my husband enjoyed his pasta. I was disappointed in my meal. I have not enjoyed a filet mignon in quite some time so that is what i chose. I also ordered the augratin potatoes and the crab cake. The crab cake had very few and small pieces of crab. It was very over cooked and dry. The augratin potatoes looked like the boxed kind. There were still small globs of yellow cheese. They had no flavor and would have been better and more presentable if they had at least been lightly browned under a broiler. The steak came with a nice char but when I cut deeper into it it was almost a medium rare, not medium well as I ordered. I did send it back. When it was returned to me it was almost burnt on the outside and very well done on the inside. It was still very tender and had good flavor. Overall, a very disappointing anniversary dinner. THANK YOU FOR YOUR RESPONSE. UNFORTUNATELY, EXCUSES FOR THE POORLY COOKED MEAL ARE NOT OKAY. IF YOUR STAFF CAN NOT PROPERLY PREPARE THE FOOD YOU SHOULD NOT BE SELLING IT! WE SPENT OVER $100.00. You can't blame it on the pandemic and being short staffed.

This place is just ok and stuck in time. I think they survive because of the older lunch crowd. I got charged $1.95 for soda water out of the gun. 🙄 Food is average American grub. Be ready to pay $18-20 for a salad.

Disappointed that several of the specials were not available. Many items on the menu had been discontinued or subdistuted.. Haddock with Lobster and risoto was now Haddock with crab and mashed potatoes. Several of the IPA Beers were no longer served. Ran out of some items as well. Ordered a steak medium rare and it was medium to well done. They did take 1/2 the price of the steak off of the bill. I just wanted a medium rare steak.

Stick with beef and chicken. Fish fry was crispy on the outside but gummy rather than flaky on the inside. Fries and coleslaw were lovely. $40 not so well spent, in my opinion.

Twice or three times I have been here, have been exclusively business occasions, and I was able to witness other events of similar nature, where people were mainly having business conversations, and the establishment was packed because of such. I think the fact that it is located in Minnetonka, amongst many company buildings, made it a convenient location for such. However, from a food perspective, I must say that everything fell short. I didn't take many photos due to not wanting to disrupt the occasion with my foodie habits, but I have had the Brussels sprouts and the salmon piccata. I have had the prime steakhouse meatloaf 2 years ago when first visiting this establishment. From my perspective, all the meat was very dry to the point that it started shrinking, and every bit of wetness on the meat was oil rather than the meat itself being juicy. The sides were also very small and sloppily placed, although I don't have a photo to showcase such. I have had the green beans and other veggies (2 years ago) as sides and the amount was tiny and the veggies looked quite pathetic. Apologies for the word choice here The Brussel sprouts appetizer were extremely dry, which I understood that frying could do such, but even then it was very much overcooked. They tasted bitter and way too crispy, and the sizes have shrunk as well. The parmesan cheese on the top, which was for sure the cheap kind instead of Parmegiano Reggiano, did not offer an extra layer of pleasant taste for the Brussel sprouts. Unfortunately I do not recommend those who want to visit for pleasantries or any other purposes where they're obligated to attend for professional purposes.

My husband and I made a reservation Sept. 6th at 630pm, in the dining room. We got there on time and said we had a reservation for 2 (gave husband’s name). The hostess said their dining room was full and there’d be a wait, but we could be seated at the bar right away. This was frustrating, since we had a reservation, but we were hungry and agreed to be seated in the bar. It took quite a while for a server to come by and even take drink orders, so we just ordered everything when she came. My filet mignon fettuccine tasted like it was made with cream of mushroom soup. My husband’s sirloin steak looked and tasted like a hamburger patty; also disappointing. We’ve been here a couple times prior to this and it was good, but this experience was far below average.

I was disappointed in the portion size of my dish last night. I ordered the risotto and scallops which is a 40 dollar dish. I received 1.5 cups of risotto and 4 scallops with minimal seasoning. The quality and amount of food did not meet the price at all. We will not be returning.

Yikes! Came here for a nice lunch date with my wife in a Saturday. I knew we were in trouble when the parking lot was empty, should have listened to my gut and went somewhere else. Any way appetizers we had spinach dip and Brussels. The spinach dip was cold but the bead was decent. Brussels were pretty bland and just ok. Entrees were terrible, steak sandwich was packed with so many onions and half the meat was inedible. My wife’s walleye had huge chunks of uncooked batter and she only ate the ends of each piece. Big waste of money stay away from this place.

Went there after work with a coworker, was seated in the dining room and given menus. That's where the service STOPPED, none of the servers said a word to us and walked by our table. This went on for 10 mins with Noone stopping at our table oreven acknowledging us, we finely got up and left. I would not recommend this restaurant as the service is beyond horrible.

M
Matthew Taylor

Came in on a Sunday afternoon for a late lunch. Sat in the Lobby for 10mins as there was no host and no one seemed interested in seating us. Once we were seated it then took 20mins to order food. The food came about 40mins later (sandwiches and burgers). When the food arrived the burger was underdone. They did remake it and removed it from our tab, but the remade burger had cheese which my son had ordered it without. They weren’t overly busy, just didn’t seem to care about the level of service.

E
Emilia

Food was overcooked and bland, service was abysmal. The food was grossly overpriced for the quality and the dishes we ordered were severely underwhelming. Despite having a reservation, we were sat at a table so laughably small it could have been mistaken as a folding tray table. The hostess was an incompetent child who favored guests that did not have reservations. We only saw our waitress when placing our order and asking for the check, with a substantially long waiting periods to get our drinks and our food. I opted to pay in cash when I got the bill because I didn't want to wait 40 minutes to get my card back. The parking lot alone should have been our first indicator that this place was a joke. Just like our table, cramped and uncomfortable. Unless you are old, white, and enjoy bad cooking, I would not recommend coming here. This restaurant is not welcoming to anyone who doesn't fit within that demographic.

This place used to be very reliable as far as good steaks and seafood. I there yesterday and the food and service were Mediocre at best and in the case of the fish and chips, downright bad. Could not distinguish between the batter and the fish, the fries were cold and the coleslaw a watery mush. My grandkids fish sticks are much better than this. My friend order some steak / pasta dish and it was also soggy, cold, and tasteless. With one cocktail the bill was nearly $90. Service was also indifferent and slow …. And if you wanted something extra like bread or a salad took multiple requests and took forever to come. Food would’ve been better if we dined at the nearby Jimmy John’s. Both my kids and wife have noticed that this place has gone way downhill in the last year. They used to have the best halibut in town in season and now the place is just mediocre and overpriced.
