Was clean, very clean, waiter was very tentative. Food was delicious, recommended the quesabirra and did not disappoint. Definitely coming back, green chilie is hot, and sneaks up on you, watch out lol
5/19/2023 We came here when Frida’s Taqueria first opened and decided to come back. My wife had the Quesabirrias and I had the Carne Asada Enchilada plate. For our beverages I had a Pacifico Michelada and she had a Tamarind Jarritos. The food was as delicious as we remember. The service is good too. We highly recommend Ajua taqueria OMG! The food is Bomb delicious 😋!!! Service is super attentive and friendly. I love hot 🥵 spicy 🌶 salsa and this place has it! It’s on our list to come back to. The flavors in the Quesabirrias are delicious as are the asada plate I ordered.
Fantastic little gem in Modesto. Everything was on point. From the complimentary chips and salsa to the entrees. We had the Frida's taco with Carnitas to share with cucumber water and Chelada to start. Carnitas were just how I like, fried hard...so YUM! The Wet burrito with Birria was scrumptious. And the Chile Relleno with beans and rice so yummy! We took the Flan to go and OMG! (I know, gorditas right?!) I don't even like flan but this was the creamiest I've ever had!! Don't sleep on this place, ya'll. We'll be back every time we're in Modesto 👍🏽
Love going to restaurants that have good customer service and great food but this place has to be the best taqueria I've ever been to. The owners are super friendly and the food is delicious. Thank you Juan and Edgar I'm definitely a returning customer 😊
Absolutely delicious food! I drove an hour to get here, and it was so worth the trip. The customer service was outstanding, and the Quesabirria are a must-try! I’ll definitely be coming back again soon!
Stopped at Frida’s Taquería tonight and wow… this place is a hidden gem! I ordered their homemade sope de pollo, and let me tell you — I don’t know if they normally make them this big or if they hooked me up, but it was HUGE and absolutely delicious. Fresh masa, perfectly seasoned chicken, and all the toppings just right — every bite was fire. The whole vibe inside is authentic, cozy, and full of beautiful Frida artwork that makes the experience even better. And let me add this — the customer service is on point. The waiter was super attentive, and the cashier Angel made the whole experience even better with great service and hospitality. You can tell they care about their customers. If you’re in town, this spot is a must-try. Come support them! You won’t be disappointed. 💯🔥🌮
Frida’s Taqueria is such a cute and delicious little spot. I love seeing their Frida Kahlo theme all throughout, and even outside, the restaurant. The details they put into it shows their love for the business. Even the bathroom was to theme and beautiful. They are on top of cleanliness as well. They have a good variety of menu items and the portions are pretty big. It is a bit on the pricey side but honestly it’s worth it, in our opinion. We have tried their menudo, burritos, mulitas, quesadillas, and quesabirrias. The meat is flavorful and their sauces are spicy and delicious. The food comes with radishes and pickled onions which is nice as well don’t see these in most restaurants anymore unless requested. My go to is their mulitas de pastor and shrimp or quesabirrias. They offer aguas frescas and they are good as well. If you dine in they will provide chips and salsa while you wait for your food. The service is slow, usually because it is only one person running counter and order taking, but everyone working there is very nice and will jump in when they can to serve customers. The parking isn’t the best as it shares with other businesses and the lot isn’t that big.
Was randomly in town and wanted to try something new, So glad that we did. The food was absolutely phenomenal, we will definitely try to come back!
As my mom said "The BEST carne asada I have ever had in my life" which is very high praise coming from my Asian mom who is conservative with her compliments 😄. Their chips that came with salsa were served fresh and warm! Loved the Agua De Pepino which was super refreshing and delicious on this hot summer day. The mulitas were deliciously savory and unctuous! Their service was top notch as well. I wish I had gotten the name of our server who was very kind and accommodating! Our kiddo spilled a tray of chips and he was quick to notice and brought over a new hot basket of chips. These gestures were especially appreciated! The space is very clean, colorful and inviting too! A SOLID pit stop on the way back from Yosemite! We only wish they were closer to us in the Bay Area so could have them visit more often and have them cater our kids birthday parties!
Visited on a Saturday morning and was surprised that they are fairly busy! The staff was welcoming and friendly, very happy with the service! The food is fresh. The kitchen staff did an amazing job, and we didn't wait long at all for our food. The chips were freshly made and warm. The chilaquiles are a must! I got half green and half red sauce with extra sour cream and fried eggs. It was the best chilaquiles I've had! The drinks are well made, too. The portion sizes were excellent for the prices. They have a large dining area, lots of seating with high-top options. It's very colorful inside and cozy with all the plants and big open windows. I plan to come back to try the quesabirra. I would recommend trying this spot out! 👌

SO GOOD!!! Everything tastes fresh and the meat is absolutely AMAZING. Loving the salsa too! Can’t wait to go back and try more food.
Frida’s has to be the most authentic and delicious taqueria in Modesto. We had the quesabirria tacos and they were so fantastic. Perfectly crunchy on the outside and delicious meat and cheese combo on the inside. They also add the toppings on the side so they don’t get soggy as you eat. Frida’s is THE spot.
The best menudo in modesto. The menudo had great flavor and was not greasy at all.. Get ready to drink the juice because it's that good! The customer service is top notch. Don't skip on this place !

We just moved from LA. And honestly the food hits the spot♡♡ We had the menudo and it was so delicious!! We were gifted a flan and honestly it was the best!! So creamy just the way I like it. Totally coming back for another slice. Will be coming back! Service was 100/10.
I love the atmosphere, the food and I loved my agua de Jamaica. People were great. Special shout out to Nicolas, the food was a 10!!
This is the BEST authentic Mexican food in the area, hands down! Every dish my family tried was spectacular. They grill their burritos, and the ingredients are fresh and perfectly seasoned. My kids said they would like to come back every Friday. Aside from the food, the vibe of the restaurant is awesome! The staff is friendly, it’s decorated really cute, and the music they play in there is like quinceañera DJ quality.
Frida’s is seriously one of those little hole-in-the-wall spots that ends up being your new favorite. The Mexican food is SO good, flavorful, fresh, and you can tell it’s made with love. Their micheladas are amazing too, like actually done right. Honestly, you can’t really find this exact kind of food anywhere else here in the valley. If you’re craving real Mexican food and want something that hits every time, Frida’s is the place. I’ll definitely be back!
What a great place! Loved my enchiladas, and the Chile Relleño was huge and had a thick and crusty batter. I had enough to take home. There was a pickled onion and radishes on the side. The atmosphere is so fun and inclusive.

Food here is amazing. This is the second time I've been here and we loved the food both times. My main gripe is that it was very slow and the server wasn't nearly as attentive as the bus boy for some reason 🤨 I may be wrong but I seem to recall that it is a Server based restaurant. We had to get up and ask for basically everything after we received our food, including our receipt and boxes to go. Great food, ok service
Everything is good but the prices is up high. The waiter told me its $3.35 per each quesabirria but when i paid its $5.25 each.i end up with 5 quesabirrias.they are good.I got misled by it. I STILL end up tipping $5

The staff was nice, the restaurant is beautiful with paintings on the wall. The food was great and they were willing to take modifications for me. They did forget to bring some items I wanted on the side but I just ask for it and they took care of it. I would go back if I am in the area.

Went today and It was ok, the food tasted re heated and was a little bland the beans were good but the rice was the worst rice I had ever tasted. I got the enchilada plate. The chicken tasted re-heated. It was just ok. My husband got the asada fries those were tastier. For the prices they have I don’t think I would return unfortunately. Very over priced.

We waited so long. I thought I was going to have another birthday. We ended up drinking a six pack between me and my wife, just waiting for our food. Anything we wanted from silverware to our beans and rice and our tortillas we had to ask for. Ended up getting charged $95 and didn't tip one penny. We will not be back!
