Sincerely some of the best food West of Dallas/Ft Worth. Have been a few times and the food has always been stellar. The service has been great as well, even on busy days. The music in the bar area can be loud at times, but that's about the only negative about this place.

Food and atmosphere was great. Price was good hot salsa was great 👍

We walked in and were sit quickly. The waitress was welcoming and overall the service was great. The Carne asada was good although a little tough. But the overall experience was really good.

Staying in a hotel next to Agave and it was recommended by the hotel staff. It did not disappoint. Food was tasty. Salsa had a kick, tacos were good and burrito was huge overflowing with meat! Chicken fajita meat was delicious! The price was very reasonable for the amount of food received. Staff was polite and very attentive.

This is one of the MOST wonderful places to visit in monohans tx they have great food wonderful service very friendly atmosphere

I've been here twice. Both times were very satisfying. Clean restrooms 👍 good attentive service 👍 large portions 👍 with a lively atmosphere. Will be returning and highly recommend it.

Had a great experience at Agave Mexican restaurant! The broiled catfish delight, and chicken quesadilla with extra guac were all delicious, and the salsa was amazing. The staff was friendly, and the atmosphere was comfortable. Plus, it’s conveniently located with easy access off the interstate. Definitely planning to return!

Lengua and barbacoa tacos are fantastic and filling. So was the fajita parrilla. Service was great, overall i recommend this if you are craving authentic Mexican food in monahans

I don’t normally say this, but wow! This place was amazing! The salsa was really good and it had a little bite too. The rice & beans were really good which seems hard to find. At least back home in Corpus it is. Normally I don’t eat all of the rice & beans but I did here. The chicken enchilada verdes were awesome! And the pico was so fresh and good. I’m done looking for a good restaurant in Monahans. This is it! Literally the only thing I can say that could be a little bit better was the service. It wasn’t bad, so don’t get me wrong. It was actually really good. I just ran out of coke before the server came to check on me & at that point I was done with all the food anyways. So I got a coke to go. Not a huge deal but maybe come check to make sure everything came out okay just in case something is missing or wrong. 5 out of 5 stars all the way! Thank you guys! And girls

Hubby had the beef enchiladas and I had the beef soft tacos. Beef in the enchiladas was well seasoned and the sauce was flavorful. The beef soft tacos were tender and overflowing the corn tortillas. Rice and beans were also very good. Great location close to the interstate.

We stopped in when they extremely busy on a Saturday afternoon and got prompt courteous service. The food was plentiful and looked just like it did in the menu pictures. Needless to say, it was very well prepared, came out quickly, and was very tasty. Lastly, the large frozen margarita was excellent!

The food was fresh and fast. Service, just a bunch of young girls talking and looking at their phones. We still did leave a 25% tip, mainly because of the food. The food was tasty but not amazing. The horchatas here blow. They do provide nice size drinks for the price. It’s nice not to wait around for a refill. No refill needed here. Nice atmosphere but strange location for this place. I assume they are hoping this area grows and it won’t be a standoff.

Food has gone downhill since new management. They have also done away with the #69 and other dishes. Service has also declined. Before, food came out promptly and was served with a smile. Always a happy ending to each visit. Atmosphere is about the same.

The food is good but not consistent all the time. Good service depends on the waitress, some will not let you know they are out of something until they bring your plate to the table and you tell them an item is missing they will say "we are out of it". Sometimes, they get so busy, and it's like they can't keep up with the demand, and they take long to check on you for refills, etc. or may take a while with a request. It can be a hit or miss.

Not bad at all, not great or borderline great. It’s simple, but the menu has quite alot to choose from. The al pastor could use more spices and seasoning. Tacos are basic, and if you get the fajita, you’re gonna want to add salt and salsa. Meat was dry.

Food was decent but the server paid no attention to us. We had to flag her down to get anything done. In there for an hour and all she did was drop off our food and ignore us. Maybe if Val served us she could have gotten a tip.

$74 to go order and every item is messed up except a kids meal. Agave special trio, has no shrimp or the onions and bell peppers. Agave special chicken was supposed to have no salad and half of the to go box is salad instead of the food that was ordered. No tortillas for any of the items, Steak and Chorizo or the Agave specials.

Got my food less than 5 min after ordering and it was cold. It would be nice if they have people who speaked English instead of just Spanish in that place. The portion sides were small not enough for someone to be satisfied. I honestly didn’t even know who my waitress was I have 2 different people showing up to my table . At check out they charged us an extra $1 in tax just for using a card🙄😒

Food was okay if you like eating food that’s half way cold, our food came out 2 minutes after we ordered and the portions are small. Waitress only came to the table to get our order and give us our food, and even gave me the wrong plate. No one speaks English so it was difficult understanding anything they said. When paying I got taxed more after tax was already added to my ticket. Just go to fermins on the north side of town, it’s not worth spending money here.

Whom ever that read this review beware to check your receipts if paying by card. Someone there added extra $10 tip to my card. I already spoke and text the manager about resolving this issue but no luck or anything. The food there is okay and service as well. Recommend paying in cash if you don’t wanna be ripped off

Lady sat us down , waited for someone to get our drink order and food , but no one ever came. 4 waitresses were just talking right in front of us for about 10 minutes. Total lack of service. They weren't even busy , yet they couldn't even come to our table ( besides a lady that brought us chips) Very unprofessional.

Stopped by here for lunch on a Sunday. We were seated quickly & got our food fast. My husband got a steak which he said was good. I ordered the #6 cheese enchiladas, since I’m vegetarian I thought this was a good choice. Unfortunately the sauce on the enchiladas had meat in it so I couldn’t eat it since meat upsets my stomach. The tortillas were not very good, taste & texture was like they were made several days ago & just reheated on the stove top which made them hard. We spent most of our meal with no drinks as our waitress didn’t come back to check on us until after my husband had finished eating. It was obvious that I had not eaten any of my food but she never even questioned it, she just brought us our check. The waitress was not busy, she was sitting at a table near the back with other employees playing on her phone. Needless to say we won’t be back.
