When the hubby and I got married years ago, we often passed this joint. Hubby says it's been there forever. Basically, as long as he can remember. We recently noticed the big "lunch buffet" sign and decided to check it out. This review is for our experience there trying their weekday lunch buffet. We enjoyed it so much we went back again today. They have an antipasto salad along with a shrimp salad. They also serve up pizza, spaghetti, lasagna, chicken Marsala, chicken parmesan, minestrone soup, meatball soup, wings, St. Louis ribs, white fish with broccoli. Basically, they have a good spread and it all tastes good. Now I never get the ribs or wings but the hubby does and he loves those items along with the white fish. I love the antipasto and shrimp salad. Mind you, this isn't a shrimp salad with the tiny shrimp . It has the bigger sized shrimp and they're deveined. They cut up celery and its in this yummy sauce/dressing. They have little cubes of bread pudding to end your meal. I also find this tasty, considering I don't care for bread pudding. They drizzle it with caramel sauce. If it's your first time, the waiter will let you know what all the items are and you can decide whether to enjoy the lunch buffet or eat something off the menu. No pressure. Our waiter both times has been Rick and he's awesome. Both times, we've eaten lunch and have chosen the buffet option. The first time we went at the end of April and we went back today. We're going to try to go once a month. Mind you, the hubby and I are both lactose intolerant but neither one of us has gotten sick either time and their lasagna has a generous amount of ricotta cheese. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Domenico's lunch buffet. The first time we made a last minute reservation for a Friday afternoon at 12:30 (like 2 hours before or something like that) and we ended up waiting almost 1/2 hour because they had a huge party. It seemed to be a whole office full of people celebrating someone's birthday or some other event along those lines. Today, I made an 11:30 reservation and made it at 10:00 AM. It was also a Friday today. This time, there was no wait. We got there at 11:25 and we thought they weren't even open. They were, though. There were only a couple of other patrons when we arrived. They had set a table aside for us since we had made the online reservation. (Go through their website and it'll send you a link to confirm.) By the time we left, it seemed everyone that walked in there was partaking of the buffet. For the price ($18.99 plus tax, drink not included) you can't beat it. The hubby and I would like to go back for dinner and try their steaks. I'll write another review if we should go back for dinner and update you folks.

I had the Rib eye steak what a steak. The flavor was perfect the best steak I have had in a long time. I cannot wait to go back. I drove from the city of orange and man was not disappointed. The price was unreal. I have recommended this restaurant to my co workers and friends. Good job !!!

Low key, authentic Italian restaurant. I hadn't been here since highschool, nearly 20 years ago, but seems like all has been as good as it was. Really simple Italian menu (way more than just pizza!) I had the veal cacciatore with the Minestrone. All very delicious, warm and perfectly flavored. I will definitely be coming back here again in less than 20 years! And this time, I'll bring the whole family! 😋

This was my first time here. Came with my friend for a going away meal and it was great. Took me a minute to decide on what I wanted to eat. So much good stuff. But I got the steak and shrimp combo and it was wonderful. Now I know why this is my friends favorite place. Highly recommend

Domenico's Italian Stake house Honestly one of the best Stakes I've ever had & believe me I've had me some stakes hahaha eager to try more of there food they have Italian regular dishes as well. The atmosphere is so cool vibes of old school Italian restaurants. Definitely worth a try , im going back for sure.

We've long-since driven past this Huntington Drive staple and finally stopped by. To my carnivorous heart's delight, steaks were half off for the month of Augus and we ended up going 3xs this month. The service was terrific! The quality of food was out of this world! The steak was cooked to perfection and I had THE most tender T-bone ever! The manager kept checking on us because it didn't look like my partner enjoyed his food... But he had the gastric sleeve and can only eat 4 oz at a time 😂

Josh, our waiter was amazing!!! He was very attentive to our order. He even brought candles for my mother's cake. We forgot them!

Overall, it was a very chill atmosphere, and I was very happy with the constantly filled pitchers for us to self-serve ice in our cups with coca cola, lemonade, ice tea, and water. Food The food was pretty good. It wasn't gourmet dining but still very good. I mainly loved the salad and pizza. The spaghetti needed more flavor (recommend fresh meatballs to add if available), but it is still good. The fettucini alfredo was good. Overall Review From the items that were ordered for our party, I would definitely come back again. Loved the service and time spent with family. I'm looking forward to trying another type of pasta next time.

The Service: Special shout out to the manager, Francisco, for his excellent service. The most hands-on manager I have ever seen. He is very welcoming to all the guests and super efficient & attentive. He came by our table a few times and made sure everything was okay. Absolutely well taken care of. Love the customer service! The Food: Summer is here. Margarita is my favorite. They use lime, strawberry, mango and watermelon. So refreshing! For appetizers, I really enjoyed the Caprese Salad, Bruschetta and Fried Calamari and HUGE shrimps! Craving for pasta, we tried Chicken Piccata & Shrimp Fettuccine Alfredo. Larger portion, totally family style to share. They are so generous with the ingredients. The chicken and the shrimps are huge! Both dishes were seasoned very well. Couldn't end our meal without desserts. My favorites definitely are their Tiramisu and Homemade Flan. Coffee & dessert.... perfect ending for a great meal. The Parking: Private parking lot and street parking (both free) They have a big patio seating area, great for summer dining.

Domenicos is true Italian. It's got the dark, comfortable, familiar qualities of an authentic, old-school Italian restaurant. Music is classic 70s. The food is good. Service is always great. Easy location to get to. A favorite spot of mine. They have a good lunch buffet and a great bar.

Great food, basic but attentive service. We ordered a large steak for him and vegetarian pasta for me, ordered margaritas and got away with a bill under $125, with plenty of leftovers. Atmosphere is ok, depending on the day. Sometimes a bit crowded and noisy feeling - mid scale. Children welcome. Make reservations and request a booth to minimize the noise. All in all, the food and price are well worth it. Our go to spot for Valentine's Day the last 3 years running!

When we first moved here we came here often. It’s changed since then and is not the same. It’s still good but not as good as it was.

Tried the AYCE buffet. The buffet was small but the food was good. They had salad/antipasta. Some lasagna (which was fabulous) Ribs, wings, meatballs, pizza, and a couple types of spaghetti. They kept it well stocked. Would recommend it and will certainly be back.

Love picking up the mid-week special. Had a small issue with being overcharged but the manager took care of it. The gal that works the to-go window does need some training in customer service skills. Overall though great food. Always our go to for pizza!

Nice to have a somewhat romantic place to have our anniversary. The outdoor area during sunset and the candles on the tables were a nice touch. The hospitality was good and very friendly. The garlic mashed potatoes didn't come out with the meal and took much longer to serve and when they did the temperature was blazing hot and capable of leaving a mouth burn. Be careful if you order them but they are quite tasty. I gave a star off for the time and temperature. It is a little pricey, so we may not be able to go unless it is a special occasion or maybe for their lunch or happy hour. They have done a nice job of renovating the atmosphere and it no longer has that gone by 1970's vibe ( it was not like the modern take on retro). You can feel comfortable about having a casual, business or nice dinner there.

We went for the ayce luncheon and for 18.99, the food was pretty solid. There was minestrone soup, salad with salami, tomatoes and olives, pizza, lasagna, spaghetti n meatballs, fried chicken, ribs (a little dried), grilled ckn with mushrooms. Staff was a little behind because I don't think they expected the crowd for MLK holiday. But yeah, at least as good as the sizzlers ayce salad bar.

Everything was great about this place but it was on Valentine's Day and our reservation was late and I think they overbooked so we waited for a fool for a long time but besides that the dinner was amazing , The atmosphere was amazing .

For the price the place is pretty good but not spectacular. The menu has lots of throngs to choose from steaks to pasta and many beers in tap.

They have good Italian food, and they have a patio so I can bring my furbaby with me also. I want to check our their buffet as well, so I will want to go back for that and I can update my review after. But good place so far 😊👍

First time dining here for a family gathering. We came here at noon on a Sunday and it was not too crowded. They have a nice outdoor patio area that can be reserved for special events. Great place for large groups. They have a happy hour menu for steaks and pasta dishes. They have ok portions. Very filling. The presentation although was a bit disappointing on the baked lasagna and baked eggplant. I noticed everyone else at our table had their meals served on big dinner plates. My eggplant and boyfriend's lasagna arrived on what looked like side plates. His also looked liked the pasta was starting to slope down. Just an observance for a $25 menu item. The calamari, shrimp and bread was good. Romantic atmosphere and lovely Italian vibe overall. We appreciate the manager Rick for the hospitality and dining experience.

We hosted our volleyball banquet at Dominic’s and had a great experience from start to finish. The event coordinator was on top of everything very helpful, organized, and accommodating throughout the planning process. The night of the event, the waitresses were amazing and made sure everything ran smoothly. The food was delicious, and the overall experience was fantastic. Highly recommend for group events!

Saw this place about a month ago...and saw their lunch special buffet, so I planed to stop by on my next trip near it, so this week I was down the street from it around lunch time and I stop by..had big hopes of being a great place...but got a big desapoinment..believe was 18.99 for AYCE so i tried the salad, chicken primavera/parmegana, pizza, lasagna, shrimp salad, bbq rib, spagheti and a sweet ice tea..only thing i found to be okay for me...was the salad C.P was cold Pizza was so saggy it was bad, lasagna cold too no flavor, shrimp salad had no flavor, the bbq rib was so.so, spagheti no flavor and cold too, and even my ice tea was bad...old man server...that happen to be sick or something kept coughing all around..he never mention the ice tea was flavored..tasted like raspberry...the place is dark and old style...maybe good for some night time cocktails...this place was for me a big missed....is okay for one time try...but I won't ever go back

Tried the lunch buffet. Chicken wings were little dry mostly crunch not to much meat. Pizza was only pepperoni would of been good if there was more toppings options. Chicken and mushrooms was good. Soups e good. Pasta needs a bit more flavoring. Garlic bread was good. Shrimp salad needed more flavor since it's a cold dish. Didn't try the ravioli. 3/5.

New owners, no longer domenico family owned. Pizza suck compared to original Domenico's. Patio area had so many flies. Flies landed in my food several times. Steaks are good. Need to change the name not Domenico's taste of food..Try Pasadena Domenico's if you want authentic Italian style food 😋 . Services is really slow

I ordered a medium cheese over the phone to be picked up. The girl working there said the only difference between the medium and large is that they both have eight slices but the large slices are slightly bigger. When we got the pizza for a medium pizza, we were charged 2379! And there were 10 slices, but they were cut into toddler bite-size slices. For a medium cheese only for $23 bucks….. I will go somewhere else.

Celebrated a birthday, the food was like kids cooked, sorry the pasta had no chicken, pizza dry, the salad looked like my lazy sister prepared it. But it was a teenagers party, they didnt notice. Ordered $200 worth of food yesterday for takeaway to a field trip down the street. Rick greeted me in a very friendly manner and was informative about the steaks and the buffet. Even helped me get a cup of icewater while I waited for my pizzas and salads because it was hot out. When time came to leave with the food, Rick let me know it would cost $5 for plates and napkins, forks. What the heck? I know times are tough but I just spent two bills on your food and you can't include the utensils? Bad form. The food: salad was a huge tray of green salad with tomatoes, olives and topped with mozzarella. Delish ranch and Italian dressings. Pizza was not what I remember it from my Pasadena childhood, perhaps because the ownership changed three years ago. Suggestions: offer free plates and utensils to valued takeout customers. Make fresh dough.

The atmosphere and service is better than the steaks. To be fair, the appetizers were good, especially the fried shrimp and calamari were well breaded and juicy inside. The fried Ravioli were awesome and tasty. The steaks were either not well cooked (rare) or overcooked (medium rare). Steaks were cold and dried out and not well seasoned. It wasn't bad but not worth the price even though it was 50% off. The size was good but quality of better than quantity. Also I didn't have their pizza or pasta, which I saw others order them instead of the steaks. I'll go back and try their pizza and pasta next time. I loved their "Thank you God" sign at the exit.

I have to be honest. A few years ago I took my wife here to eat on my birthday. It was great. But today I decided to bring my family to celebrate my brother in-law birthday and it was not good. Short of staff, 30 to 40 minute wait for waiter to take our order. Wait another 30 plus min for food to be prepared. No one came to check on us offer anything. We had 3 kids under 10, 3 teens and 5 adults my wife, mother-in-law etc Point: after such a long wait nothing was offered to accommodate the wait and hungry kids nothing. Now to make matters worse! When the 🍕 pizzas came. I was disappointed. Thinking the 2 XL 18in did not look like it was🤔? and was not cut making it hard to get a slice. And 😱 OMG the amount of grease dripping from the pizza attached is a pic. Im sorry for be honest . I totally understand being short of staff but service and food can make up for lack in other areas🤷🏿🤔

I was so looking forward to dining here. Very disappointed with the food. The antipasto salad was terrible. The salami and cheese tasted like wax. It was 90% lettuce. The side order of cheese bread was barely baked and it was a very small portion cut into four slices. I asked for a draft beer in a certain brand and it wasn't close to what I'm familiar with. Regarding the service, we were rushed into ordering. The meatball sandwich looked good but it wasn't. The meatball was hard and salty. I sat outside and enjoyed the fresh air. I've been frequenting their restaurants since the 1980's. I will not be returning.

Happy hour prices are very good and worth it. We had various plates to sample most of what they have. Unfortunately there was no more room to try their pizza. The reason why I gave them a 2 star over all was because there was lots of mosquitos flying around the dining area. And we ended up getting stung in the arms and (for those wearing shorts) in the legs.

Food is ok, pricey for what it is. We live in the area and tried to give this place a shot twice and was disappointed both times. Service is extremely slow. Our 2nd and last time meal took 2.5 hours for 1 pizza. Water served in tiny whiskey glasses with one refill for the 2.5 hours. Took 30 mins to get water. Waited 45 minutes for the check, almost walked out.

Horrible service, horrible food & drinks, nice atmosphere. The restaurant was pretty empty but we gave it a chance. Had to return one of the drinks because it was undrinkable, tasted like we were drinking pure hot sauce. Then they served us undercooked shrimp (appetizer: garlic jumbo shrimp) that was also chewy, slimy and didn't feel safe to eat. When we called the waitress, she immediately rolled her eyes at us. We waited over an hour just to get our pizza. We ordered pepperoni and cheese, pizza came with only cheese, since the waitress didn't write down our order. The correct order arrived but you can tell they just added the pepperonis on top and just threw it back in the oven because the pizza tasted rubbery and hard to chew. We didn't eat the pizza and decided to just ask for the check. We had to eat dinner somewhere else. Aside from the insulting service and horrible food & drinks, it was a nice atmosphere both indoor and outdoor area. I kindly addressed these issues to the man working the front desk in hopes of them understanding what they are serving is not safe to eat and how they are treating first time customers. Would not recommend this restaurant.

My family reserved a table for eight people for 830 on Saturday. Some of us went there early and sat at the bar for a few beers to wait for our party. Once seated at our table on the patio, the server, a friendly lady, took our orders. Everything seemed fine to me. Everyone seemed to be enjoying their time. We had drinks and were waiting for our food, and it wasn't even close to closing time until one of the employees started to close up. He appeared in a hurry to get the three parties of about 20-25 people still eating and our party still waiting for our food out of the place as soon as possible. He closed all the curtains covering the patio and the wind from blowing everyone sitting there. It was so rude; it got cold, and the other two parties covered up and left immediately. The employees didn't ask anyone if it was ok to close the curtains, and the guy was obviously in a hurry to leave. I understand that employees want to leave early or on time, but you can be courteous and maybe don't book tables after 8-830 so your employees go home on time. Instead of shutting down while people wait for food! I was so bothered, and the server opened some of the curtains again, only to have the same guy ask her why she had opened them. After this, I asked to cancel the pizza I ordered. We were not welcome, and the guy wanted us out ASAP. Nobody asked for the manager, but the server said they were coming, and he/she never did. It got so uncomfortable after that, and my party ate their food so fast that we also left as soon as possible. I also apologized for keeping them at work after hours. It wasn't our intention to take their precious time. Now that we know and have experienced their service, we will never eat at their place again. No wonder why they have less than four stars on Yelp. The bartender was rude to the server, too, and he was spilling our drinks all over the place. It seemed like chaos to close up the place and leave. Maybe if you eat there when they open or at least 4 hours before closing, they'll have a better attitude with customers and won't try to kick you out before you even get your food!

Wife and I decided to try the lunch buffet and were pretty shocked to see the “buffet”. It consisted of one maybe 10’ table and maybe 12 different choices with highlights including store bought meatballs in a bland sauce and ribs that had been lightly hugged by bbq sauce. For what pretty much came out to $25 a person with a drink, it was just sub par food for a place that’s supposed to be a local favorite spot. I don’t know if the regular menu is way better, but we don’t think we’ll come back to try it.

We came here for lunch today craving for agreat pasta dish.. first the server that sits us made us feel unwelcome. Food is not good! Drink not that great Either.. the lady server need to go do customer service training again!...

Out of our group of 20 I was the first to order but last to get my food. Everyone was already done eating by the time I got my food. When I got my food (pork chop plate) it tasted like a breakfast ham steak. Hardly any seasoning and the veggies were not much better. They charged us for extra bread when I didn't even get my plate of food that comes with bread. I upgraded my salad to the antipasto and it was very good. I also tried my wife's manicotti which was all sauce and chicken and cheese and hardly any noodle. Portions while half off for the season we're also half the size. I tried my brothers spaghetti and the sauce was good but by the time I ate it the food was cold. If I was with family I'd order a large antipasto with a plate of spaghetti but I won't ever eat here if I'm choosing the restaurant. Way to ruin our Christmas Eve dinner!

Sadly, this place has gone way downhill!! We used to live in the area and this was a regular in our restaurant rotation. We happened to be visiting the area and took our kids to what we thought was one of our all-time favorite restaurants. The first sign that things were not going well, was when we were completely ignored while waiting to be seated. After we finally got someone’s attention, we were completely ignored once again at the booth where we were seated. Thankfully, one of the waitresses noticed us waiting for a long time and came over to take our order even though she was not assigned to our table. It took awhile to get our food and when we finally got it, the kitchen had messed up my husband’s order and made him a plain cheese calzone (with what seemed like an entire bag of cheese), even though the waitress read back our order and had it correct. The rest of us had our food and he had to wait another 20+ minutes to get his. When I approached the manager, all he did was say he was aware of the issue with my husband’s order and apologize. He didn’t even offer to comp my husband’s meal or one of the $8 desserts we purchased. A total disappointment and our last time eating there for sure!!!

The pizza was not good this time. Was very disappointed. Been going there for 40 years and never had a bad pizza. But, this time it's making me wonder about there food menu. Please make it better like before.😭😓

So I have been coming here on and off for 2 decades. Never have i thought I would spend $52.70 for me and my 6 year old before a tip. A soda,kids spaghetti, regular spaghetti and a large salad. Just a year ago I would have paid maybe $30 tops. This is just insane. Was told owner change and this will be the last time I ever eat here again. Goodluck Domenico's. We used to love this place it was a family favorite for years. Unfortunately, our visit today for Father’s Day was a huge disappointment and sadly, probably our last. First, it was unbearably hot inside. We called ahead and were told they had AC, but when we arrived, they seated us on the patio and it definitely didn’t feel air-conditioned. Everyone was sweating and uncomfortable the entire time, which made it hard to enjoy the meal or celebrate at all. The service was extremely slow. We waited far too long for everything from drinks to entrees and the staff didn’t seem attentive or apologetic about the delay. Now to the food: we spent over $300 and it just wasn’t worth it. The quality was mid at best. Nothing stood out, and honestly, a couple of dishes were downright disappointing. For that price, we expected a lot more in terms of taste, presentation, and overall experience. It breaks my heart to say this, but we truly regret choosing this place for such a special occasion. It was uncomfortable, overpriced, and underwhelming in every way. I hope they make some serious improvements, but sadly, we won’t be returning.

Lunch is half price from dinner menu set up buffet style. Fish was rubbery, ribs were tasty but dry. Chicken Marsala was tuff and everything was Luke warm to say the least. Lasagna had no flavor . Went there two night's earlier was impressed. So my girl and I invited my son n law and daughter. What an embarrassment. My suggestion, do away with the buffet. Chicken wings and ribs don't belong on an Italian buffet line. Get it right or don't do it at all. We did enjoy the salad, pretty hard to screw that up.

Wow, the food was so bad, it made my breath smell bad for at least 13 hours after brushing and using mouthwash twice. It made my stomach upset and really just wasn't good. Seemed overpriced in general. But the service was great. The GM checked on us a few times and was very on top of it and kind. Our server, Courage, was also amazing. He was the best! The environment was interesting too. The food was just a lot worse than expected. I think a lot of the food is frozen and I think the steaks might have been going bad honestly.
