When i travel, i like trying new cuisines,familiar comforts and random trendy spots! However, when i'm home, Mikomi is the only place i ever want to go. Comfortable food and affordable price.. Last but not least i want to give a shot out to my server (Lucyyy) She was outstanding!! She was on lunch shift and she should be there till close! lol She had the best tablesside manner and personality!

Excellent service! We had 3 servers the whole time. The sushi was fresh and tasted amazing. The restaurant is very clean. The portions were very large.

A nice hidden gem in Monrovia that turned out to be full of people even though the restaurant is quite big. The sushi and sashimi they used were very fresh. Delicious modern japanese food! I carried some to-go and the raw fish made it home safely. Their lunch deal price is great. It starts from like $13++ which is a great price for the area. And adding sides etc still remains under $20ish. The seating inside was cool on a hot day which was very comfy!

Mikomi is one of my fave sushi restaurants ever! My sister put me on this place so I had to go try it. After learning there was a location in Old Town Monrovia, we made a visit on Saturday afternoon. The restaurant interior was stunning—I loooove the sealife lighting fixtures. When it came to the food, my favorite category to order from definitely has to be Fresh Seafood! Mikomi rolls always come out so refresh and beautifully plated. I always make sure to get the Citrus Salmon roll and Mixed Tempura, but this time I also tried the Mikomi Special Roll and Truffle Unagi Roll. They were perfect! So unique and tasty! If there is a sushi spot that feels both casual in atmosphere but elevated in taste and quality, it has to be Mikomi Sushi!

The holidays can be a stressful time, so thankfully Mikomi Sushi in Monrovia, California, in the SGV has just what I need to get through these next few weeks: SUSHI and COCKTAILS🙌🏼 Their Signature Cocktails have been recently updated with seasonal flavors and are deliciously strong, and is the perfect complement to their fresh sushi, sashimi, rolls and everything else on their vast menu. The stand out bites for us are their rolls, which we ordered based on our server’s recommendations. Always trust them🫶🏼 We had: 🍸Lemon Tea with Jameson, 🍹Oops all berries, 🥃Cranberry Orange Whiskey, 🧄Sizzling Garlic Onion Tuna Signature Sashimi, 🍤Truffle Unagi Tempura Roll, 🍋Citrus Salmon Fresh Roll, 🍣Assorted Nigiri (Jumbo Scallop, Bluefin Tuna, Halibut, Yellowtail, Black Snapper, Albacore)

This is one of our favorite sushi spots. The sushi is always fresh, good quality, and delicious! It is a very clean environment which is important for a sushi place. The atmosphere is very nice and welcoming. I highly recommend this to be one of your favorite sushi spots, as well.

I just had the best experience at a restaurant! We called ahead to ask if we could have outside seating with our small dog, and they said yes! When we arrived, the service was so nice, and they even offered a bowl of water for our pup. The food was delicious, and the service was quick to make sure we had everything we needed. It was such a lovely time!

Might be our new go-to spot for sushi rolls! Everything came out quickly and tasted fresh. Our favorite rolls were the Mikomi Special Roll and the Yo Sexy Sexy Roll. The Citrus Salmon and Cherry Blossom rolls were fine, though nothing standout. We went on a Friday night when it was packed, but the wait was only about 10–15 minutes, which wasn’t bad at all.

Got together with some friends for dinner. We found this sushi place in Monrovia. Got a table outside. Waitress was nice. Food came out fast despite how busy they were. Had some appetizers, sushi rolls and a sashimi platter. Food was good! Other than a few obnoxious patrons walking by, dinner was good. Next time we would get table inside.

Graduation dinner. Food was good. Atmos is soso. Service was not good. First they sat 12 people on a table that only had 10 chairs. Then kept asking for last call when we hadn’t ordered yet. Then asked again for last order when I didn’t yet get my food.

We were excited to be back in California for good sushi. But we were super disappointed when we went on 1/2. Maybe the normal chef was out, but the fish quality and taste was not there. We did the onomakase, and they put a numbing spicy jalapeños on top of all of the items. This is not normal or expected. The salmon and scallop tasted good, but the rest were underwhelming (especially the toro). This place is highly overrated, unfortunately.
