We stopped here on the way to Baton Rouge all the way from California! It was worth the build up that my husband gave it. Destiny, our waitress, was very friendly and helpful. Daniel was the cook and he nailed it! The food was really good. First time I've tried grits and I really liked them. I also had their famous waffle and it was perfect. My husband had the biscuits and gravy with the triple order of hash browns smothered and covered. My kids also really enjoyed what they ordered. We walked in to the aftermath of them having just been slammed with business and all the tables still needed bussing but they were quick to get us seated and served. We would recommend this waffle house and would come back if we are out this way again.

I had a great experience on this visit to waffle house. The staff was friendly and made it fell like home. The food came out perfect and the waitress changed the order in a way that I got what I wanted at a lower price . Prices gave gone up but that's everywhere so I have no complaints.

We enjoyed our steak and eggs breakfast, delicious andcooked perfectly. I wouldhave enjoyed it more if our waitress hadn't disappeared after bringing us our order, we never got refills on our coffee or water and it was hard to get anothers attention. Other than that it was a pleasurable meal and the place was very clean.

This waffle house is the cleanest waffle house i have ever been too. Inside and outside! No trash outside. Floors clean inside. Bathrooms clean! Customer service was excellent! Food came out hot, quick and on time!

Went to this Waffle House and had Floyd as our server. He was kind, friendly, accurate and brought our food quickly around noon on a Sunday. Would absolutely recommend. Floyd is an asset, give that man a raise!

Always a pleasant experience at the Waffle House in Mont Belvieu. Late at night or early in the morning, they do a great job.

I like this place a lot!! food is not the most healthy to eat on a daily basis! But if I can have break, of eating salads and fruits almost all the time, here is where i take it! only for a couple of times per month (i must add)! Coffee is really good, people working here are very gentle, the atmosphere is nice and taste of food is amazing!!

I had the most amazing waitress. Shelby McDaniel. She needs a raise. We never had to wait for service, all of our food was prepared perfectly. When she would check on us, she would leave us laughing and smiling. I will always come back here and ask for her to be our waitress. I never write a review, but she is top 10+. I had an awesome experience here! I stopped on my way to BR and initially I wasn't to sure about how things would turn out, for various reasons. I ended up sitting next to a gentleman who started talking to me and I really didn't want to be bothered but I obliged. At the end of his meal, he reached over and grabbed my ticket, and to my surprise, paid for my breakfast. I'm not sure if he recognized that I was going through a lot at that moment but his small act of kindness gave me hope. Oh, the service was pretty good and the food was classic Waffle House greatness.

1st Waffle House to cook my hashbrowns and bacon the way I asked them to be cooked. Service was good as well.

It was ok. Im not a picky Karen by means but like I said it was Ok. I didn't get my bacon but there was too much tension in there with the staff I decided it wasnt worth an "on the fly" order as they call it. BUT I did have a stomach ache 2 hours later sooo... idk. Wont be back.

This trip we had to wait for a seat to become available, but not too long . Our sever was great and the food was good as well.

I always enjoy waffle house. We have eaten at this one twice. The first time was perfect, the second time was slightly less enjoyable but still hit our craving. On the second visit the staff seemed loud and unorganized but they were pretty busy so that may be the reason. The grits we're runny and one of our waffles was served almost burnt. They also forgot part of my order and had to server it late. Still 4 stars because the waitress was friendly and fun and I ate everything on my plate. We will be back.

When you want a good breakfast but you don't want to wait in line for 30 minutes at the IHOP, at least you know what you're getting. Like most Waffle House locations it's fast paced and busy in here, but your wait time is minimal, the food is hot, the coffee is always fresh and the staff is friendly.

Good service, place was packed, still was at a table almost instantly. It was a little messy. Looked like they had been at capacity for a few hours and we're handling it decently. The waffle wasn't very good and that's in their name so it cost them a star.

Service got better when our waitress from the Garth location came and started serving us. Then there was also a girl working with her hair hanging out down passed her shoulders. Totally in appropriate .

It's always freezing cold in every Waffle House we go into. I guess that's their way of saying eat and get out. But other then that it was good.

Had to stop on my way through. People were friendly but managed to mess up 4 put of 5 orders. Then i asked for gravy..so it was bad and they had not made anymore which was fine. I ordered a pecan waffle which was uncooked and all the pecans were down the middle of my waffle and it waa 1/4 of an inch thick. Food wise... horrible experience

Not following 10 steps, drink first and waited way too long to take order. Slowed down service, even tho few people were there. Maybe new? Food was good, eggs cooked correctly but supposed to be a quick stop!

First of all to set the tone the restaurant was pretty busy. First thing I noticed was the cooking area was disaster and not clean at all. Waitress was nice and attentive. Food came out hot and fresh. Food was good. Overall a good experience. I would go back.

I've been going to the waffle house since 1977 when I go to Sulfur Louisiana I go to a lot of Waffle House down there on my way back I always stop by this one anyways everything was fine my server was Jasmine only thing I can say is!!! Jasmine overcharged me.. it's not about the money I went ahead paid for it when she brought my change back I just let Jasmine know for future reference you overcharged me Jasmine want to argue and being a smart mouth... Jasmine charge me $9.56 for a plane cheese sandwich with a extra piece of cheese and I have a cup of coffee goes with it .... I explained to Jasmine a grilled cheese sandwich is $3 plus .50 cents for the extra cheese and 2.50 for the coffee that equals $6 plus I always leave a $5 tip.... Jasmine's comment was !!! " you want to fill out your own ticket" .....

My family and I visited this restaurant for the first time. We're not very impressed with the food. The original waffle was like a thin pancake with waffle-like markings on it. The bacon was cooked to order, and it was good. The service was OK. The overall cleanliness of the restaurant could most definitely improve.

The food was made fresh and it was done pretty fast, It taste delicious too. Our waitress was not so great. She kinda has attitude when we asked her to wipe the dirty table we sat at. She tried to fake good service but kept forgetting about us. Mind you we were the only people in the restaurant HOW DO YOU FORGOT THE ONLY TABLE YOU HAVE? Besides her fake service we still left a decent size tip. Witch to be honest should be given all to the cook because his service was phenomenal. He even made me a fresh waffle after our waitress forgot about it and burned it.

Have only eaten breakfast here. It's Waffle House; food as expected. Some really friendly servers and some are terrible. Sometimes dirty. Sometimes they have ants.

I used to come here for coffee and dessert every Sunday with my Dad. Now, the food and service are terrible. The coffee is toxic waste, just like the staff's attitudes. I really miss the old crew and food. I wouldn't bring my enemy here.

Food was okay, but the service absolutely sucked. Ordered waffles, had to ask for butter and syrup twice. The cook finally brought the syrup himself. Was supposed to have sausage with the meal. It was brought AFTER we finished eating... Drive to Dennys.

I have 2 stars because I'm averaging. one time we go and the food is awesome and hot and wonderful. the next time the waffles are either burnt or raw and the food is horrible. hit or miss.

Not the best waffle house experience I've ever had. I paid for several touchtunes songs but it was impossible to hear anything because the volume was set way too low. The staff didn't have access to the volume remote due to the manager locking it in the office. There were 8 people in my party and 3 of them had hair in their food. GROSS!

Really friendly staff.......but........need more people in the mornings. This restaurant is in a high traffic industrial area. People have to get to work! I frequent the restaurant and try to do call in orders and over half the time there is no answer. As I sit here writing this while waiting for my order I can hear the phone ringing and nobody is even reacting to it. Busy or not.....it will speed up your service if you take the call and get their order in prior to them arriving instead of having everyone sitting and waiting to order in the restaurant!! Need a fix. There are a lot more places that serve breakfast and people will gravitate that way if things keep up the way they are!

The lady that served us seemed to be walking around (very slowly) in her own little world. When I asked questions, her eyes would look in my direction but, it seemed like she was looking through me. She wasn't rude, wasn't friendly. She was just there. To answer my questions, I imagined there was a worm slowly moving around in her brain, finding one word at a time for the response. Eery. Thought for a second, I had stepped into the Twilight Zone. It was like not a word being spoken in the whole place. Weird! One bad thing, I got slapped with a $4.30 to go charge. (I didn't see that coming). The steak in my cheesesteak melt tasted burned. The hash browns were awesome. But, that didn't come close to rating a $25.00 price tag for two people to eat. My $2 tip was more than generous. I might try this place again, for breakfast. Someone else might have a completely different experience. So I will not bash Waffle House. Try, at your own risk. Plan to eat there!(not to go). If you want an other worldly time. You may be in luck. I didn't pay a lot of attention to cleanliness. Good luck!

I gave an overall 2 star rating because NO DIET COKE!!! You coke zero people have ruined the world. We ate here several times during our stay and the food and service was great, but whomever made the decision NOT to have diet coke should be fired.

Service was backed up badly. Cook was slow. Got some of our food and got balance a little later. Waffle sat on counter in front of where we were sitting and got cool. Would not melt butter. Omelet ordered was a mess and not cooked through. Worst experience I have ever had at Waffle house ever and it wasn't even that busy.

Food was great as it always is at Waffle House but this location was less than desirable. I ordered a double order of cheese eggs and bacon with a Sprite. They charged me $12.50 when I can normally get a full Cheesey egg breakfast for $8.75. Plus, I got about 5 sips out of my soda. Most Waffle Houses are great but I would steer clear of this one.

I usually love waffle house. But they burnt my bacon pretty bad and still served it to us. Waitress wasn't really attentive, even though there was only one other customer here. This one had a major water leak, which was blocked off near a booth. I felt bad for the waitress because she had no idea when it would be repaired and explained that there was more leaks on the other side of the building as well.

The waffles were very thin, unlike other Waffle House locations. The manager pretended not to know what was happening. It’s a ripoff. But the service was great.

Our waitress took the order, dropped the ticket and never checked on us. 4 waitress stood over my plate and never offered a refill of my drink. The young man sweeping the floor, had me MOVE AWAY FROM MY PLATE as I ate, so he could sweep under my feet. Waffle house service here is the worst I have ever seen. Manager fix this!

No one ordering and I got it to go. They looked great on the grill then this. It was too bad outside to go back. Disappointed because they are usually great. Maybe next time. Apparently the phone doesn't work or I would have called to let them know. Minor issue but I didn't get to eat it.

I’m very disappointed. I ordered my food online at 3:25 and told me that my order will be ready at 3:55. I’ll get to the location and the cook haven’t even started on the food. There’s no one in the dining area. It’s completely empty. It’s now 4:10 and my food is still not ready. This is unacceptable and they act like they it’s no care in the world that is not ready.

Place Was not 100% clean... Table Was dirty, floater in water, floor dirty. Will not be back. Staff was friendly. No wait on a friend morning. Menus were dirty. Was not overall happy with my experience. Waiter forgot waffles had to ask for food.

Tell me why the "famous" waffles were paper thin? I have Game Informer magazines thicker than that ish. Plus the waffle was brown like it was wheat but we didn't order wheat so.... Then I had to take my steak back twice and they still wayyyy overcooked it. They overcooked my over easy eggs and service was non-existent. Both my husband and I were sick after eating here.

The table I sat at had syrup all over it. So did the next table. No cleanliness whatsoever. My waiter, Devaun, put my silverware down...actually just dropped it down...and it clattered off the napkin into the syrup and dirty table. The language used by the staff was vile, profane, and offensive while I was there. Devin did not clean any of the syrupy messes while I was there, even though it was near empty and all he had to do was run his filthy mouth. Avoid this Waffle House like the plague. Go anywhere else. 1 star was generous.

Family of 6 went to breakfast. The waitress made us feel unwelcome from the moment we went in, telling us "yall will have to wait" with one of *those* tones when we first got there. While waiting for menus one of the other customers asked for something and the waitress snapped at all the customers in the restaurant that she was the only waitress for that whole half of the restaurant. We promptly left.

Don't usually have a problem with this Waffle House but tonight we waited to be seated for 15 min before we left. The real problem was that not one of the workers acknowledged we were there. A couple people came in to make to-go orders & they were taken care of. These workers didn't even make eye contact.

Sat there with three people in the whole store for 25 minutes and couldn’t get my order taken. Everybody’s too busy on their phones or hiding in the back. If you got a couple hours to kill this is the place for you.

Out of 5 days, they would not answer the phone despite it ringing for 2 minutes. So I had to go in and order. 30 minutes for my grand slam, then still had to wait on my waffle... plus they forgot the sausage. 1 star for the cute girl.

My family and I experienced the worst customer service treatment at this establishment. The whole staff ignored US, and they had only three customers. We sat at a table for 15 minutes and no one had the courtesy to ask for water not along our order. We decided to leave after the long wait. When in our vehicle we noticed another couple came in and sat at the very same table. Their orders and drinks were taken within 2 minutes of them sitting. I plan to make a corporate complaint and would recommend no one should support this kind of treatment of others.

Worst Waffle House ever....and I have been to several not only in Texas but other states as well. Our waitress was clearly bothered when we asked for our drinks to be refilled. My hisbands order was not done right and it wasn't right when it was redone. Clearly this Waffle House needs some work.

This is the second time I’ve ordered here and will be the last if I place an order over the phone why aren’t you listening to what I order because if so I shouldn’t have to constantly come back in to get my order right 3 times then I tell the manager they forgot my onions and that’s what they threw on my burger lol then told them they forgot the lettuce and tomato and the guy jammed them in the container as I watched him no one is happy there clearly won’t get any more of my money

The ladies are very nice but that male cook late night is rude. I've witnessed him literally leave the griddle to tell paying customers to leave for NO reason. He told a guy that just sat down to get out. Couple months ago he did the same to some other guys. RUDE

Came in at about 7:40pm. Took nearly 1 hour to get food. They were a little busy, but not slammed. I've never waited this long for my food before and they have been busier. The cook was awesome. And so was the food. But the 2 girls waiting on folks, what a joke. Our girl, Hannah, seemed to be too busy talking to a customer the entire time we were there. And nobody was even helping prep any food for the cook. The cook even served us our food! Please provide training or maybe just replace the poor wait staff.

Please train or retrain your servers about working while sick. We were served 11/24/23 by a coughing server that didn't wash her hands even once while she was hacking both into her hand and hacking with no attempt to cover her mouth. While filling my daughter's glass with water I observed her coughing directly into the glass. She didn't drink it and seems okay but I am sick. My guess is that there is no education and I have a little compassion for her but on the other hand there is no excuse. Certainly her manager needs to review this situation. EDIT: It turns out what was passed to me is COVID and STREP

Do not come here if you are eating alone. The whole staff was not friendly to me at all. The cashier was extremely condescending when speaking to me. I’m going to play the race card. But everyone else they were friendly to except me so my only other reason was that I ate alone. I tip the waitress we’ll only because my food came out fast

Waitress argued with me and how to cook my eggs and still called them wrong and of course I had to send them back because they were wrong I had to ask another waitress for another coffee my cup was empty a good 10 minutes I had to ask another waitres for to go containers all the while my waitress was standing there on her phone very unprofessional after reading reviews before I posted mine apparently there alot of bad reviews regarding Julie so I know it wasn't just me

Horrible service, take long and then when they bring my food out it was the wrong thing. All I Asked for is a waffle and 3 eggs fried hard with cheese. It took over 30 minutes for it to come out and when it came out they only brought out the eggs and the cheese wasn’t even melted. It was only two slice of the cheese put on top of the egg cold. Horrible and still no waffle

They burnt the hash browns and said that is the way Waffle House does it. The coffee was burnt. We sent my Wife's waffle back because it was darker burnt than my hash browns. See photos.

For the most part I’ve had good experiences at Waffle House but not at this store I’m sure it was just the old server, it wasn’t even busy at all at the moment. I sat down she came and took my order I asked for a simple water with lime in it. Took her about 30 minutes just to bring the water, honest mistake I guess. I think she should retire. If you forget water.

This placed definitely need to be checked out by health and safety officials and I’m %99.9 sure they will close down this place. What an absolute mess is this location. Kitchen was almost flooded and they’re walking in one inch of water at least. Ceiling and the waffle bar was absolutely disgusting and it looked like they’re not cleaned in years. This place is called “WAFFLE HOUSE” and I’m pretty sure they should not be servicing waffles like this (photo) at all. I’ve had frozen waffles taste and loom better than this. This place needs to be shut down and needs a lot of work done to get it safe for people to have a safe and pleasant meal here.

The waffle batter must've been really watered down, it was as flat as thin as the plate it was served on. Didn't have much flavor either. Waffle House used to pride themselves on great waffles... I didn't even finish it. The waitress was great, she did the best she could, but the quality of food was very poor. I will not go to the Waffle House on Mont Belvieu on HWY 146 again!

The customer service of Julie was highly unprofessional, she rush me through my order which prevented me from ordering more. Then once I received our food I handed my daughter the salt shaker a piece of hair fell onto her eggs. I quietly called Julie not to cause a scene to let her know a hair fell from the salt shaker, she took the plate back to the person the grill saying “I don’t know how the hair fell out the salt shaker “ loud enough for me to hear. So I let her know it fell from the salt shaker, long story short she continued to provoke until I responded then I asked for the corporate number as she continued to try to provoke me while the manager did nothing but give me the corporate number.

We have been to this location numerous times but have never had service like this. My utincles had food on them had to ask for new ones. My two youngest kids waffles were over cooked, and my oldest sons meal was the wrong one. After I asked for it to be corrected and showed him on the menu what he wanted it came back the same exact way as it did originally. When I again showed him what he wanted all they did was put the correct food on another plate. At this point not only is his food cold but still nasty. There was still remnants of the wrong food on his good food. The toast had so much butter it could not melt. And his eggs weren't cooked all the way. My son did not even eat his meal and ate some of mine. Then as my son and I were finishing our coffee our waiter made a comment as he was looking at me that there were other people waiting to be seated. I don't not tip often but this time I felt it was necessary to not tip.

Just experience the worst service at this location. Gabriel is the waiter. He is very unprofessional as well as the cook. I order the all star she served the sausage egg grit bowl. I took what she served and I asked Gabriel to just put the waffle in a to go container. I had to ask for a bag and he didn't even bad my remaining items. Very unprofessional.
