If you’re visiting Resorts World Catskills, Dos Gatos Cantina is a place you absolutely shouldn’t miss. Located inside The Alder, this restaurant delivers consistently authentic and delicious Mexican food that never disappoints. Beyond the food, the staff really sets this place apart. Everyone is incredibly friendly, welcoming, and attentive, which makes the entire dining experience even more enjoyable. The atmosphere is open, lively, and fun, making it a great place to relax, dine, and socialize. On Fridays and Saturdays, Dos Gatos offers a live DJ and an awesome Happy Hour from 5 PM to 8 PM, creating a vibrant and energetic vibe. During the summer months, the outdoor patio opens up, offering a fantastic space with fresh air, outdoor seating, and fun outdoor games, perfect for enjoying drinks and food in a laid-back setting! I honestly wish the casino would promote Dos Gatos Cantina more, because it’s truly a hidden gem. I will absolutely continue to be a loyal customer and highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Resorts World Catskills.

Let me start by saying, WOW! I was staying at the Resort World Casino Catskill and was looking for a snack, I figured a taco or some nachos to nibble on would do the trick. So I ordered the carnie asada nachos and the crispy shrimp tacos for my friend. No exaggerating, those nachos were the best I've ever had. Chopped bite size rib eye with clearly homemade cheese sauces (yeah sauces, including the lime crema to compliment the cheese sauce). So amazing. And BTW this was no small portion, it was a meal, no snack for sure. Then the crispy shrimp tacos with pickled red onion were amazing. The margaritas from the bar (adjacent) were great. All in all this was a wonderful and exciting discovery. I would come to RW just for this food at this place. While I was enjoying my meal, I saw the chef, he was awesome to chat with. He told me about how they make everything fresh and what they use, very impressive! He was a really nice guy to stop and chat about the food. This is a destination restaurant with convenient parking. The restaurant is located on the main floor of the Adler hotel adjacent to the Resort world casino. Large roll up garage doors for good weather and plenty of seating inside and out. To order walk up to the counter and place your order then they let you know to come grab it, very casual. Great place..! Can't wait to try more off that menu next time!

We sat outside and the weather was nice, outside seating was very comfortable although partially overlooking the parking lot. The food came out quickly and was just what you needed! Perfectly spicy, perfectly seasoned, fresh and delicious! We’ve got the Mexican corn - it came in the skillet, sprinkled with cheese and spice - perfectly sweet corn - to die for! The guacamole is what you expect the perfect guacamole to be. The tacos we got was fish and chicken - they do 2 per serving, and they are so juicy, we had to get the paper towels. Next time we’re in the area - we’ll definitely pop in again!

Such a fun, cool, bar and restaurant. Food was absolutely delicious authentic Mexican cuisine. We tried a few different dishes and they were all amazing! Highly recommend eating here if you like Mexican cuisine and in the area, Clean bar and restaurant , great food and great atmosphere.

Definitely our favorite place to eat and drink while at Resorts World, and the atmosphere is great, too! Go see Zach and Ozzie if you want to feel like VIPs. The quesadilla is topped with all kinds of deliciousness and comes pre-cut, so it’s perfect for sharing and goes great with their margaritas. We’ll definitely be back!

This place is a hidden gem!! Absolutely delicious & very impressed!! Authentic, awesome laid back atmosphere & the staff is amazing. The chef went out of his way to check on my sister & I to see how our food was and hooked me up with some banging house-made hot sauce. The ladies who work there are fantastic and extremely helpful! It was my first time trying Dos Gatos and hands down a 10. I eat at alot of good Mexican restaurants but this was impressive & different! The chef wasn't exaggerating when he said he just got done slow cooking the beef for 7 hours it was slamming & nice presentation. Such a hidden gem that I'll be regularly going to everytime I'm at the casino. Love it!

We love the good eats at Dos Gatos! Our favorites are the quesadilla and the mushroom tacos. My family loves the sautéed shrimp tacos as well and each taco has a unique sauce topping to them. Their guacamole is not my favorite since it tastes a bit bitter, so we won’t be getting that again, but everything else is top notch. You can sit inside or outside depending on weather and they have a nice area to play cornhole or giant jenga with friends.

I had the nachos and guacamole it was so filling and delicious! I’m a vegetarian they also had a veggie taco option but I was already full. So glad we found this place we wanted something with flavor and taste while we were traveling. There’s a bar as well and she made the best White Sangria I had in a while.

Best Tacos around. My husband and I love this place. Dan is the man! He’s the best. Always attentive and helpful. Plus he’s a Steelers fan! 😅 Cheyenne and Lisa are very kind bartenders. They actively engage with all customers to ensure you have a great time.

Wasn't sure what to expect. It's located on the Resort World property. Fast food never tasted so good! Nachos, fresh salsa, quesadilla, pork, shrimp - yum! There is a bar mid floor, pool table, VR games, a game that, from a distance, reminded me of knock hockey, and sports store.

Excellent place, food, and overall Mexican cuisine experience. Reasonable prices, friendly staff, beautiful surroundings, great decor and fun family games available. Food was trully good, and the salsa's were tasty and worth the time and effort. I loved their outdoor seating, and the night mood across this place. Great oxtail empanadas, and excellent tacos! Definitely a place I recommended for everyone and for everything in the menu!

Worse tacos ever no taste, nachos no taste, birria no flavor at all, the guacamole didn’t have any salt and lime taste like smashed avocado with chop tomatoes. Recommendation go to eat somewhere else The owner has to go to try his or her menu in a real Mexican restaurant or bar.

Was looking so forward to trying this place for weeks finally made it there today. What a huge disappointment. We were placing our order and it was screwed up because the woman that is taking our order was too busy talking with another employee that was leaned right into the register as she’s trying to hear our order. Well, with that said our order came out screwed up. Paid for rice and beans well I guess they ran out of beans cause it was all rice. Returned back up to the counter and explained what happened to our street corn they checked the receipt on their end and she claims she never heard me say it. Well again maybe too busy talking to the other employee cause I guess they were upset one of the employees called out. Wish I never wasted my time or money on the street corn - three small pieces of cob maybe 3 inches and cold. We’ll we should’ve known, the place was dead. Nobody around. Will not be returning there.

There's like 8 people sitting at the bar with 2 bartenders, and we had to hound one of them after 5 minutes just to get a menu. Hound again to try and order food. Never got any water that we asked for. Never asked us if there was anything else we wanted or needed. Did literally less than the bare minimum. Bartenders are about as personable as a rock. Cool looking spot, but need a whole new bar tending staff.
