What a great find! We stopped in here and my wife ordered an iced coffee and she loved it. Very friendly staff and talkative. It also had a great atmosphere and lots of pictures of politicians.

So glad I stopped here on my way to see the capitol building! The Iced coffee and my sandwich was so good and fresh! You can make the coffee how you like with sugar and flavored creamers. The staff were so friendly too.

Very nice staff and my tea that was recommended was really good! The chocolate chip cookie and muffin was also great. Unrelated, but we were allowed to take drinks into the capital if anyone else wanted to know.

Good location, the cafe shop is near Texas Capitol. Ice cream is good.

Every staff member was all smiles & so sweet to chat with. One of them noticed me craning my head to find an outlet & showed me how to find them personally. Adorable spot!

Fantastic location on a great breezy day over in Austin. Right by the Capitol. Amazing outdoors seating for great ambiance inside as well. The service was great as well. I got the Texas Honey latte and I was surprised how smooth and tasty it was. Will come again.

I visited Capitol Cafe in Austin, Texas for the first time and chose one of their popular drinks off their menu, their Bluebonnet Frappe but asked for it to be made into an iced latte. This drink was by far one of the best tasting iced lattes I have ever had, to me the combination of the flavoured syrups were well-paired together and had just the right amount of sweetness and flavour! The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and the cafe had a nice, historic atmosphere and also had some seating outside on Congress Avenue, hence the 'Capitol Cafe' name. I will definitely try to visit again if time permits, thank you! :)

Nice cafe just outside Capitol complex serving some good options of cafe. They had some good options of seasonal coffee . Tried tis the seasonal coffee and Texas gold latte . Tiw was ok but Texas gold was amazing . Seating is available outdoor within tree shade and indoor too some space is available .

Just a short walk from Capitol and Texas State Archives. The ham on blueberry bagel was delish. I had a huge spice coffee. This is a good place to relax and look out the windows. I purchased a coffee mug and then left it in Uber!:( Hope you enjoy the mug Jacob. I am so glad I didn't leave my Texas Military Forces Museum cup in Uber or I would have sobbed loudly. Only thing I don't like about cafe is that it is cashless. Employee said CAFE has been robbed more than once and now take credit only. Hire a security guard who looks like Tyrus from Gutfeld. I don't like using credit for coffee/food or mugs. Run your business to please the customer not hooligans or thieves. THIS IS TEXAS. DEFEND YOUR GROUND!

This is a short 5 min walk from my office on the Capitol grounds. Great, friendly service from the staff, and a delicious chai latte & green tea for my friend. The atmosphere is quiet and chill and they have lovely shaded outdoor seating as well. 20% off on Friday for State employees was a nice surprise as well!

The service was amazing! About a month ago we drove 12 hours to Austin and even though we got 30 minutes there before they closed. They treated us so kindly. Definitely a 5-star coffee stop and I definitely recommend it!

We got their special coffee like “sugar cookie chai latte”, and while the drink is let’s say $5.5, the foam and cookie crumbs were extra ~$1 each, making it ~$7.5 total, which we were not aware of that and employees didn’t say anything.

It’s really cool that they serve the coffee with the furnitures with capital logos. You also can see lots of representatives ’ photos hanging on the walls. The most important part is that the price is also reasonable.

I rate this place 3 starts because I've only been once and it was not for coffee. I'm a matcha fan and unfortunately I was not happy with it. It was mostly milk and don't think they use a pure quality match. Seems more like a blend. It's hard to find great quality matcha around here and this is definitely not the spot. They made it super fast so guess that can be a good and bad thing. Inside was nice and quiet. Love the decor and atmosphere. Wouldn't mind coming back to try a coffee. Maybe. Just hope they eventually upgrade their matcha.

I hate having to write a bad review but the service was terrible... I ordered a latte and asked for only a little bit of unsweetened syrup. When I received the drink, I was confused by how sweet it was and returned to the counter. All the barista offered me as a solution was to add more milk to my latte to 'remove the sweetness', despite the fact it will dilute the drink... I was reluctant but try. I asked her if perhaps the milk has sugar in it, and she confirmed it does not. However, I saw her pull out the cartoon and it clearly said the milk (soy) contains 7g of sugar. I pointed that to her and even then, all she did is hand me back my original drink to which she added even more sweet milk to it... I was so confused! I had to complain again and just ask for a black coffee because she did not understand I did not want sugar nor sweetness in my drink, it was so frustrating... In the end, I ended up paying for latte despite leaving with coffee and frustation :( I wish baristas could get trained on looking at the sugar contents of the milks and how to remake a drink when a mistake was made instead of trying to "fix" it.

Got a cold brew and unfortunately it was the worst coffee I have ever tried </3 It tasted of water with the smallest whisper of coffee it was actually undrinkable. I'll drink bad coffee but this was on another level
