Thank you for the best first dinner in Rome! The food was incredible. The members of staff were extremely lovely. Our waiter went above and beyond explaining us all of the special meals and translating to English so perfectly. It’s our first time in Rome and thus explanations were very much needed. Thank you for making us feel so welcome. The atmosphere was so lovely and authentic. What a truly great Italian restaurant!

This restaurant was recommended to my husband and I by family. We visited without a reservation and they were so accommodating. We did have to be out by a certain time due to the next reservation coming in but it was plenty of time to eat. By far the best meal we've had in Italy so far and we are picky! The ragu was so good and the lemon chicken was so tender. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Will definitely go back!

This was my favourite meal in all of Rome! I had their Gricia gnocchi that was on the specials board..this should be a permanent addition to their menu. The best gnocchi I have ever had. Friendly staff and good prices! I will 100% be back in the future!!

What an amazing place. We have two young children and the food, vibe and staff were amazing. It is authentic Italian rustic food just like my friend and her family make. We will be coming here every night for dinner until we leave.

Great atmosphere, good pricing, good food and huge local wine selection. As an American visiting Rome, we stumbled across this place due to the patio. Due to popularity and a lack of a reservation, we had to sit inside. Sitting inside was still worth it, though if you want to sit outside later in the evening I'd recommend getting a reservation. This restaurant serves authentic Italian food, not the touristy stuff we have found elsewhere in the city.

Absolutely rude staff experience, so much so, that I didn’t consider returning for the reservation. I should have read the most recent reviews before even attempting to dine here. It’s a shame because it seems that this issue with unwelcoming service has only started within the last month or so. I’m sure the staff member in question will reply to this review in a defensive and equally rude manner, claiming my review is “unsubstantiated” and continue to insult and demean as they have done with others. The energy in the responses to negative reviews seems to align with what I encountered when I was simply trying to patron their restaurant. Even if the food is great, I wouldn’t spend a dime here after experiencing the most unwelcome, cold interaction I have ever received.

Rude front of house service, filthy setting, and we ended up cleaning our own table. If you wish to have a memorable lasting memory of a negative experience which will ruin you day and will be long lasting, sour your taste of Rome and visit this awful place…… We visited this local spot in Rome expecting a simple, relaxed meal and left genuinely disappointed. I don’t enjoy writing negative reviews, but the experience was so poor that I feel other travellers and locals deserve a heads-up. From the moment we arrived, the attitude from staff was rude and unwelcoming. There was no basic courtesy, no attempt to help, and when we tried to ask a simple question (about seating/service), the response felt abrupt and dismissive. It set the tone immediately, and unfortunately things only got worse. The cleanliness was shocking. The place looked like it hadn’t been properly cleaned in a long time—surfaces and the general dining area felt grubby and unpleasant. What made it worse was that tables were left dirty and instead of staff clearing or wiping them down, we ended up clearing the table ourselves just so we could sit down. That’s not “casual” service—it’s basic hygiene and customer care, and it simply wasn’t there. Even after we tried to make the best of it, the overall atmosphere was uncomfortable because it felt like we were an inconvenience rather than paying customers. Between the filthy environment and the rude service, we lost confidence in the place entirely. In the end, we decided it was best to leave rather than risk eating somewhere that didn’t appear clean. I understand that hospitality can be stressful and places get busy, but there’s no excuse for customers having to clean their own tables in a dirty setting while being treated poorly. This was an awful experience, and we won’t be returning. I’d strongly suggest management looks seriously at staff training, customer service, and basic cleaning standards, because right now this place is letting itself down badly.
