Pausa pranzo. Menù di ottima qualità. Personale molto gentile e accogliente.
Lo consiglio, cucina solida, atmosfera calorosa, servizio attento, una visione moderna del sud ovest milanese
Excellent cuisine with traditional yet sophisticated dishes, attention to ingredients and wine. Their desire to stand out in such a small establishment is commendable. The knowledgeable, friendly staff is a plus. A successful family evening!
A welcoming Slow Food restaurant, a quiet space with efficient, polite, and friendly service. A satisfying menu and quality ingredients are also available. Slow Food Presidia are also present. The wine list offers the perfect pairing for the dishes served; wine by the glass is also available! Good value. The beautiful Morimondo Abbey is just a short distance from the restaurant! A lovely Sunday outing!
I wanted to give it five stars because the atmosphere is very pleasant, the staff very friendly, and the atmosphere is very positive, which makes me think they can only improve. What would have led me to lower a star or two is the price, even though it's clear they've invested in quality. Tired of always having to spend crazy amounts in Milan, I'd like to be able to relax in this regard when I go out. Instead, I definitely relaxed because of the very welcoming atmosphere, the service, and the quality of the local ingredients, which were truly excellent. The salami appetizer was served a bit cold, but after eating slowly, I was able to fully appreciate its quality after about ten minutes of allowing the temperature to settle. The main courses were good, although not abundant. Gorgonzola was excellent for "cleansing the mouth." Speaking of which, the section on the menu "la buca l'é minga straca se la sa no de vaca" (literally, "the hole is too tired if it doesn't taste like a cow") is a great point in favor of the restaurant's creativity. The dairy-free apple pie was incredibly soft: to find out why, it's worth consulting with the chef. We ordered a glass of red wine, and were offered a very respectable Pinot Noir that paired perfectly with the dishes. The wine list was interesting, however, with many local selections. In short, a price adjustment would be perfect.
A cozy place, very friendly and kind, you feel at home, the food is quality and very good. Highly recommended!
A charming country trattoria you absolutely must try! A very welcoming entrance with a pleasantly lit fireplace and a warm welcome smile. Lunch for €15, including a first course, second course, and side dish, water, and coffee. Spaghetti with celery pesto was truly delicious and unusual, and the oven-roasted chicken was very well cooked with delicious rustic polenta. The à la carte menu offers excellent local cuisine, authentically traditional. The service is young, courteous, and professional. Well done, guys, I'll be back soon.
After visiting Morimondo Abbey, we stopped at this trattoria, featured in the Osterie d'Italia guide. Our compliments go to the young staff who have created a welcoming space offering quality food at more than fair prices. The salamis and risottos are excellent.
Friendly service and good food.
Mi sono fermata per caso in questa trattoria e sono uscita davvero entusiasta. Ci tornerò.
We had a great time; it's one of the few places you can count on for an excellent lunch in the area!!! Excellent service and very good food.
Very nice place, impeccable service, and maximum hospitality to enjoy excellent cuisine! Worth visiting.
Nice little place, friendly staff. The first courses were really good (leek risotto and tagliatelle with meat sauce). The second courses weren't the best, but they were good. The desserts (chocolate salami and tart) were good. The price was reasonable, even considering the fixed lunch menu (€15 each with water and wine). With a portion of gorgonzola (very good) and three sweet flowers, the total menu was €66. If you're in the area, it's worth a stop. The only downside is the slow service... but if you're not in a rush, that's not a big deal.
The risotto with wild herbs was exquisite, and the pork cutlet was perfectly fried. This main course particularly reminded me of my vacation in Japan, as if it were a TONKATSU, meaning "pork," and katsu, "breaded and fried," in this case not with panko breadcrumbs but equally crispy. The word katsu also means "victory" or "vigorous, full of physical energy," which is why tonkatsu is often prepared before a school exam or a sports competition... a good victory never hurts!
The COST item is missing: ⭐️ I could repeat what many customers have said, but I'll try to summarize: there's too much of a disproportion between quantity/quality/cost. I suggest NOT turning a single, standard appetizer consisting of several dishes into multiple single and mini appetizers (and we're talking about 12 euros for 3 meatballs, or more or less for one (1) Russian salad!); don't rely solely on the cost of the ingredients (fresh porcini mushrooms) for 15 euros of pasta; the original, well-cooked "diaphragm" is fine, that's for sure. Without the owner, a more lively atmosphere makes up for a bit of genuine and charming improvisation.
Out of business
We arrived at the trattoria with high expectations, as it's listed in the guide to Italian osterias, but they weren't met. The food was okay, but nothing was truly memorable (maybe the wine...). We had the feeling that they'd collected, recycled, and remedied the ingredients and materials before going on vacation, which is understandable, but the dishes weren't a success. Small shared appetizers, a first and second course as part of a set menu, 1 coffee and 1 bottle of wine, €112 for two. It seemed a bit pricey for what we ate (of questionable quality), but that's okay. They accept dogs and cats; when we went, some customers were letting their cats climb onto the chairs and table, and there was also a dog who was obviously drooling... it's a dog. The service is excellent. Allowing pets in a restaurant can turn off other customers who, like us and others, may have allergies or be unhappy with having animals around while they eat, but for the kindness, friendliness, and peaceful atmosphere, we didn't make a fuss. We won't be going back :(
A nice trattoria in Caselle, certainly not in the centre of Milan, with very high prices and dishes in quantities that you can only taste. A first course was non-existent, however, a second course, two first courses and a starter cost 80 Euros.
Sunday lunch with some colleagues and acquaintances. Unfortunately, we weren't entirely satisfied with a few things. First and foremost, the bill was pricey for what we ate. Disappointed by the surprise appetizer (was the price the surprise?), which was paltry (one Mondeghino each, one miniature eggplant parmigiana each, two trays of Russian salad and two of rabbit with Taggiasca olives, €17.00? We would have expected some cured meats as well. If we mention a legume intolerance and the Russian salad is served with peas, I'd say it's not good. The variety of side dishes is also lacking; for the potatoes, they only offer boiled potato salad and no other preparations. The desserts are minimal and overpriced. On such hot days, the lack of air conditioning is a problem, so they try to compensate by providing fans and a meager, lame fan for just a couple of diners. Otherwise, everything was fine... the wines, the summer tripe, and the lake fish were excellent.
It's not worth it: the prices are high for such quality. I didn't like it at all. Salt—they don't know what it is. €2 for coffee. €12 for a plate of 5 pieces of salami (that's 50 grams of salami in total). Is this a joke? €18 for a plate of 3 cheeses (absolutely less than 100 grams of each cheese (there were gorgonzola, ricotta, and parmesan)). Is this another joke? We waited 30 minutes for the rice. The price for the main course and the first course is fine. But that's not how it works. It's a total disaster. €150 for 5 people who were hungry. The portions are tiny. The nice thing: the garden view and the tablecloths... P.S. I work as a waitress in a trattoria, but I bring the wine, water, and bread right away. Even the cheese. Here we had to wait at least 15 minutes. A truly awful experience. I recommend going into town or looking for a better place to eat. The quality and price are perfect. (I'd say €30 per person isn't much, but for the quality we had... it's s...o, that's the nicest thing to say.)
