At the TA express for a reset. Went to taco casa for lunch and ordered the super nachos. When ordering i asked if i can substitute cheese sauce for shreaded cheese and they said yes. I got back to my truck and wow i was surprised the value i received and were really good. Thank you!

Good inexpensive food. Restaurant is well maintained and very clean inside. I had never eaten at a Taco Caso before. Counter staff very friendly and explained some of menu options. Fast courteous service! Easy off and on interstate 30. Inside the Duke's travel plaza.

Taco Casa is exactly what one should expect when shopping for tacos locally. The tacos they serve are fresh. Taco Casa provides different options for configuring your taco from hard shell to soft or full on burrito.

Giant super nachos. See pic. It normally has sour cream but I asked them to leave that off. Good hard shell taco too. Full to the tippy top of the shell.

Looking at the other reviews, I'm guessing the quality varies by who's working. I got lucky. For two and a half bucks, you didn't get much these days - so I ordered a taco AND a bean burrito. Either one would have been enough. Both was too much food. They're nothing fancy, but they're good and it was filling. I'd come again, for sure.

Tacos were absolutely yummy. We got 4 of the Taco Lites. Very crunchy, crumbly, yummy goodness. Also the sweet tea was very good. Recommend to try this place!

Stopped by for lunch on the road. Ordered food for 6, and it came our fresh and hot within just a few minutes. I’m used to waiting a good while for the amount of food we have to order. Portions were large. Tacos were full to the top with meat and generous amounts of cheese. Burritos were large. Delicious food. I didn’t anticipate the portions, and we ended up with leftovers. That never happens with four children! Lots of seating, and Dukes is very large and clean. 5*!

One of the best Taco Casas I've been to. Friendly, helpful and fast service. Food prepared perfectly with generous toppings. Clean location inside of Duke's with BBQ to the left and other food options. My go-to stop when traveling on I-30 to and from Arkansas. Drive through available on right side of building.

Great tacos and awesome sweet tea! Fast service. Service people kept it from being a 5* rating because if their attitudes. Manager needs to fix the customer service so it is with a smile and positive attitude and this will be a great location to visit regularly.

This is a great fast food restaurant. I get the taco light, an item taco hell sold back in the early 80s, it has a fried flower tortilla instead of a corn tortilla. Try one, odds are you'll want another one or two before leaving.

I'm not sure if she is a manager or shift leader or what but this woman had a poor attitude. I didn't get her name. The guy running the register didn't know how to run my loyalty card and tried to ask her but she says they don't do the rewards program even though I was just here less then a week ago and they ran it just fine. You need to teach employees how to run your cards.

To day we went to taco. Casa in my vernon texas and found out tea has changed not good a large is now what use to be a midum and no refills .super nachos are less than half the size it use to be..now are empty and tables are. Not clean out of ten tables 4 can't use and 4 are dirty one was in use .now we have been coming her once a mo. Since it opened but we must find some where else to go this is not acceptable to us .last time it was how clean things was not too .so I guess this place dont care at all its proven now we know for sure we can go tohudle house and not spend much more and get good food we 2 seldom spend less than 20.00

Taco shells taste still as all get out which is disappointing. The staff acts like they don't want to be there. I'm guessing understandable cuz they probably pay really low for a taco joint. That's fast food. It's actually overpriced, but all in all if you go over how everything else is nowadays, it's mediocre at best, but edible.

Just like with every other restaurant in America you more than likely won’t get everything you order. Check your bag before you leave or you will have paid for something you never got to eat.

It sucks to be in vacation and stopping where the staff has really bad attitude, the girl calling out the orders at taco casa and the pizza guy mad at the world. Makes you not want to stop here at all.

They told me that they had been wasting too much food for the day and that if I wanted my order fixed that I would have to pay for a new one. Not to mention the food was not edible as the chips are stale and soggy generally just was not good at all. Horrible customer service and food. generally, I love taco Casa, but this one is the worst I have been to by far and I have been to the majority in DFW.

So we are truck drivers and ordered from here and we took a few extra spoons and do you know the manager made a huge scene and started screaming across the lobby at us saying we were stealing and we did not need any spoons for our meal? I was appalled and very embarrassed and He even started to reach towards our bag as we were eating to grab the extra spoons. Where in the world do these people get their customer service skills from? Who raised you guys? So disrespectful and embarrassing! I will never eat from here again! Ever!

This has by far got to be one of the worst taco restaurants in all of Texas. The staff here act like that they don't have to work. Waited in line over 30 minutes for three tacos. A burrito that was absolutely horrible and the T I'm not even going to go there. Please close this restaurant down before it makes Taco Casa look any worse than it already does!

This is all I got for super nachos not enough meat for one taco and I said put the jalapeño’ s on the side and they were all over everything! The girl would only take orders at the window this place has gone down!

On Monday evening after all my labor day company left and I got a nap, I wanted some food from Taco Casa. It as 8:30pm. I checked their website and found that it shows to close at 10pm. I arrived in drive thru at 8:55pm. There was one car in front of me. I'm not sure if they were able to order from the speaker or not as I did not hear anything. After a few minutes, the car pulled up to the window and got their order. I pulled up to the menu board/speaker. No one answered. I pulled to the window and the manager on duty stated they were closed and that they closed at 9pm. I stated the website says 10pm. Then she turned to be rude, raised her voice and said that hadn't been updated and that they have to close because "we have kids that need to go to school". Well then why does all other locations and other fast food restaurants not do the same? Guess what - this is a service industry that is expected to follow posted hours and give excellent service to everyone. Not to make their own rules and be rude to customers no matter what the issue is. This is not how to run a business. I filed a complaint on the Taco Casa website. The next morning, the area supervisor called. She agreed with me that stores should not have special privileges to close early because they hire kids that go to school. Every fast food restaurant does this and they follow the hours that they need to be open given to them by their corporate offices. The supervisor asked me to stop in an pick up some coupons. I did so. When I arrived I noticed that the posted hours for being opened had been altered on the door to reflect the closing at 9pm instead of 10pm. I picked up my coupons and asked what the actual hours of this location was. She stated they close at 9pm due to low volume. Well - changing of the stories now. In my opinion, she doesn't want to cause conflict as she is younger than the managers she supervises. Again, I am not happy with this situation nor am I happy about the resolution (or lack thereof). Today (the next day), I noticed that the website now no longer shows when the store is open except that they are open. Their Facebook page still shows open until 10pm. As you can tell, I'm not happy about what transpired, how management was rude to me, how the supervisor won't fix the issue except to hand me a stack of $1 "Taco Buck" that I assume I can only use 1 at a time. Granted this is a small town and we have limited places to get prepared food, but please be open when you should be open. Not following this causes loss of trust and loss of business.

Taco Casa is in Dukes out side of Mount Vernon, Texas. I love the store and stop in every time I go by. Today I was going to order at Taco Casa and the person taking my order was yelling at the other employees in front of all the customers. Then she asked what I wanted, so to proceed to tell her and I’m the middle of my order she started yelling at the employee again. So I told her never mind and left. I hate the fact I won’t be going back to Dukes because it’s my favorite store. In my opinion poor choice of management. Employees weren’t wearing masks for starters, the prices have almost doubled in 3 months and the tacos we ordered had stale shells with mostly greasy meat. I used to like this place having stopped a couple of times in the past but they have definitely gone down hill. Suggest u find another fast food place

I just order burito to eat today morning july 24 so burrito covered by chees not even ground beef Please be aware when order anything there is an older man working here and he disrepected me instead help me .I told him i put in the trash because was bad burrito covered by chees this old man ask me to bring from trash not fair Taco casa only name the old need to be retraining and to be learn how he supposed treat customers i wasted about $ 5:45 for nothing

Never again!!! Made our order only to hear the Manager state in a loud voice where are these orders coming from...hmm maybe customers. Several customers came up at 9pm to place orders only to have them stare at them for a while and say they were closed, yet it states they are open till 10pm. As they close down and clean up they play the most offensive music with fowl language. The manager then goes to the BBQ next to it well after 9pm an makes her order, the BBQ guys are professional.and make her order without making rude comments unlike Taco Casa workers did.

We really like Taco Casa, and we’ve eaten at many different locations, but our last experience at the Mt Vernon location was not good. All of the burritos tasted like ashes. We know there is a BBQ place in the same building, but it tasted like cigarette ash. Inedible... hoping it was BBQ and not cigarette ash 🤢

We love Taco Casa and have for many years. After my sister moved to Arkansas from DFW, this is the last Taco Casa on their way home from a visit. So this Taco Casa is a frequent stop. We expect changes due to Covid 19 and restrictions. But our visit yesterday was horrible. The good was good as usual. But after ordering, we watched the 3 young men behind the counter laugh and play around, with only one of them filling orders. The manager came back from break, as the customers piling up and joined in the playing around behind the counter. She did ask the 4 of us waiting for orders in the lobby if anyone needed to order and we replied we were all waiting for food. My food came pretty quick, and I got my drink when I placed the order. My sisters food took about 20 minutes as we watched the antics behind the counter. When they finally filled her order we realized one order of cheese nachos had been siting in the bag waiting for the rest of the order to be complete. To go nachos are usually packed with the cheese in a cup, but in this case they were applied to the chips. That means cold, soggy nachos. When the manager handed her the food she said, “sorry for the wait, we had to fill drive through orders”. When we got back to the car with our food, I didn’t receive a utensil to eat my chilada with. Those are not readily available due to Covid, so up to employee to add into the bag. We went back through the drive through and the young man was not understanding our request for a fork through the speaker. When we got to the window, we restated what we needed (a fork) and and he was gone for a few minutes. He came back with a bag that contained about 30 utensils (all types) and 2 handfuls of sauce. He held it out and said “here it is”. My sister replied “that’s my fork?” To which he just smirked. That response, with the stuffed bag and his response was both overkill and unprofessional. This experience was an overall fail in customer service.
