After getting hit by covid on the way back from Miami, Tom kha soup really hit the spot! This is our favorite Thai place and it helps that it's within walking distance. You can't go wrong with anything you order here. Love the currys but I always make my own rice at home. Also the appetizers! To complement my soup I got the tea leaf salad as well. Super convenient and fast. call to order and pay upon pickup.
Loved every bit of it starting with Iced Thai tea and then food with wonderful staff who cared and served so well.
I loved the service and the people who helped us the family so welcoming and so helpful delicious I love the garlic golden prawn as well as the Cambodian Pad See Ew. I could tell each dish was prepared with love . The ambiance was so beautiful. I loved the One Piece LABUBU Figures and the elephants on every table!!! Wonderful owners I love Tommy thai!!
Green curry very rich, pad see ew very yummy. Nice decorations inside and pleasant temperature
The food at Tommy Thai is absolutely delicious! It has such a welcoming vibe. Mary is an amazing hostess. She gave us great recommendations on the Cambodian specialty dishes. My friends were here for a three hour dinner. Great memories over great conversation. Will definitely come back again!
I love the green curry here ! It’s the best ! Id rate tommy 6/5 !
The owner was so sweet and super helpful. The food portions were huge. I loved the Cambodian pad see ew! So flavorful with wonderful flavors from all across asia. Lovely place!
Great place and been here a lot since. Love the Green curry usually, works best for Stanford students lol
the staff are all really kind and give really good recommendations based on dishes that you like!! The interior is also really pretty, spacious, and super clean — a great place to hang out and catch up with friends! I highly recommend getting their chicken fresh rolls, garlic fried wings, and their Cambodian See Ew with the coconut fish sauce!! The wings are super juicy and has the perfect crisp. Would definitely come by if you ever want a quick snack, or a nice meal with family & friends!
Very nice people here … owners and staff. Friendly and humble. Cozy and warm with plenty of heat in winter to enjoy food without being cold. I loved my Cambodian dish Salau Machu Ktis ($17) which is vegetarian that has pineapple, carrots, zucchini, baby corn, mushroom, ma-am, kefir lime, lemongrass, broccoli, coconut milk, and tofu. It was a very generous serving and I was full after eating half of it without rice (which is extra) and had the rest to take home. The ambience is warm and quiet and with no music blaring. I love the quiet and was able to enjoy watching or listening to something on my cell phone. It’s nice they have both Thai and Cambodian food. Parking is easy as they have a lot.
This is my favorite Thai food anywhere. My experience spanning from the Los Angeles and San Antonio areas. I am fully in love with the red curry, and I like to add the bbq beef ribs. Good portions and excellent quality meat (grass fed beef). I make my way here anytime I pass through (or near) town. I only came in person one time (I usually order), the staff was very friendly and helpful.
Awesome find. Never been and found by chance. Ask for Jinny. She’s amazing and kind. Very sweet woman. Food was amazing. Had all veg options to enjoy. Loved every bite
We often come to the area and this is always a pit stop. We love the garlic wings and noodles. Friendly service and flavorful food!!
I was hesitant and hungry. The more and more hungry I got the less and less hesitant I became. My sister got Pad Thai noodles the other day from here. They would have been fine if she gave them shelter in the fridge, but unfortunately she kept them out in the wild for too long. I'm starting to understand why Cup of Noodles used to be her favorite food. Cup of Noodles isn't going bad anytime soon. Pad Thai noodles aren't as resilient though. Lauren needs to understand she can't treat every noodle as if it came from a Cup of Noodles. When she left those Pad Thai noodles out in the wild for close to 20 hours, there was no way to undo the damage that was done. I had to make the decision was I going to let my hunger or common sense win. Hunger usually wins that battle, so I ate the Pad Thai noodles. The smell of it wasn't right, but the taste felt right. I ended up being the test dummy for my sister because after I finished half of it, she decided to finish the rest. These Pad Thai noodles were pretty good for possibly being bad. I can't even imagine how they would taste if I got them fresh. I'm planning on going here again and not even giving the food a chance to go bad by eating it as soon as possible.
the curry here is really flavorful and the ingredients used are rich and savory. on a cold winter day, the yellow and green curries hit the spot!!
This restaurant id by the highway, comes in between while going towards big sur. This is a small place but they serve really good food! They make fresh food and really loved spring rolls, couldn’t take picture because we ate it all before i get chance to take photo. The quantity is really big! One plate is good for 2 people! We had to take away food since we ordered one plate person. The price matches the quality. Service is good too. When the server asks what level of spice, the spicy is good spiced up, as an Indian it was spicy so make sure you choose your spice level wisely!!
The portion seemed small but surprisingly, it filled us up. We ordered hot pot sized Tom Yum Soup and Bamboo. It was amazing 👏 and the staffs were so nice/attentive to us. She also like to joke around which is fun 😄. I recommend it but it is a little hot/humid in here, even at night. Please ask for ice cold water if you can't handle spiciness or heat. Otherwise 11/10
I went there for the 1st time today and bought Tom Yum Soup, Garlic Chicken Wings, and Basil Fried Rice. All "to go". As I was driving home, the smell of the Garlic Chicken was too much for me to handle,,, I reached into the container and started eating the AMAZING chicken!!! Inside the same container were Onions that were fried and seasoned and coated with lots of Garlic!!!! It was incredible.
The food was exceptional! I will definitely be coming back for the chicken satay and yellow curry. The food arrived on time, and everything tasted incredibly fresh and refreshing. The Thai tea, especially, was absolutely out of this world!
Tommy Thai has the best pad thai in the Bay Area. We always get it with duck and spicy. It’s the perfect side dish if you’re looking for comfort food. We drive 45 minutes for the food, so I hope you give it a try for yourself.
This is the first place I've been that have separate Cambodian and Thai style foods. It's was a great time with my family. I ordered the eggplant tofu with a side of rice and my sister ordered the Cambodian See-ew. We keep ordering more that I lost track and the portions are very generous. Everything was so delicious that I forgot to take photos until half way through our meal. This place is definitely going to be one of my go-to from now on.
Phenomenal Vegan / Veg food options. 1. Vegan Red Curry (5/5): Medium Spicy. It was soooo delicious. You need 2 boxes of rice if you do takeout and 1 dish will suffice 2 hungry people. I wish I got extra tofu on the side but I am often skeptical if tofu is deep fried or smells of egg so I avoided it. 2. Vegan Pad Thai (3.5/5): Great with a very mild egg smell. I am yet to try their Pad See Yew / any flat noodle dish as I think it will be phenomenal. This is a vegan / veg / vegetarian review 🌿
I’m not even joking when I tell you that this is the best Thai food in the Bay Area. The staff are super welcoming and attentive! this time we ordered the spicy catfish, green curry, egg rolls, tom kha, papaya salad, and pad thai. Everything was super delicious and had such bold flavors. I was a big fan of the tom kha, it was sour, savory, and aromatic. Papaya salad was crunchy and seasoned with spices and sweet fish sauce. Egg rolls were crisp on the outside and tender on the inside. Pad Thai was saucy and had lots of shrimp, chicken, and tofu. Green curry was rich, but not heavy and had great coconut and curry taste. The catfish was my favorite and I have never had anything like it! The lighting and decor on the inside was authentic to south East Asian culture and a nice touch. I’m bringing all my friends here!
This is my first review and it will most likely be my only review. Whether it be the welcoming environment or delicious food, Tommy Thai’s quality of services provide the complete experience. I ordered the Garlic garden prawns, Fresh roll, Fried garlic wings, Cambodian see ew, and Spicy crab fried rice all of which were extremely delicious. I split these dishes with a group of 6 and my only regret is that I didn’t order more. I cannot emphasize enough the friendly atmosphere that they provided complimenting their yummy food. I reaffirm that I will be coming back to Tommy Thai’s every single time that I’m in the Mountain View area!
Cute place with a local family restaurant vibe. The food was delicious and service was friendly. Good spice levels. Spicy and higher is best. But can’t go wrong with the flavor. So good. Will def be back. They have Thai and Cambodian food. Lot of choices and it’s delicious. When driving here turn before the building and it has a small lot. Google maps wants to take around the street which has a small pass through to get to the first lot. So watch for the turn in before the street for the small parking lot.
Amazing service and delicious food at a great price. Went with 6 friends and got many dishes to share family style. My favorite is the garlic fries and shrimp, it’s so flavorful. The fresh rolls and peanut sauce was also really refreshing. We also got the crab fried rice, catfish, fried chicken and Cambodian noodles which were all so delicious. I’ve gone to Tommy Thai every time I’m in the area and can’t wait for the next time I come as well!
The food was good! They changed a few things from the last time we were here but the food is still solid. I ordered the Pad See Ew, but they gave me the Pad Thai. I still enjoy Pad Thai so I ate it and it was delicious. They’re also currently doing a deal where you get a free Thai Tea if you post a review, and the Thai Tea was refreshing.
We ordered and got our food rather quickly. We also did order a side of coconut rice with the food which was extremely good. The mussamun curry brings peanut flavoring with the pieces of peanut in there. It was extremely good. I got the curry with chicken and tofu, the bowl looks empty because it was taken after my mom had taken out all of the tofu. They put a ton of tofu and they are big sized chunks. Overall, I would definitely recommend getting this, there is a hint of spice, not spicy as in burning your mouth but after each bite it leaves a light tingling sensation that goes away.
My friends introduced me to this cozy spot, and I was surprised we could seat a decently large group of 6. Not only is the service quick (we ordered 5-7 items), but the food was great!! I crave Thai food a lot, and the menu held a good variety of foods. My favorite dishes are the crispy beef, chicken pad see eew, and my #1 favorite: the thai tamarind wings. Will be back for their thai tea and to try other items on the menu~
A small and cozy restaurant with warm lights and cool decorations. We came in a Sunday evening. Not many customers so the service was kinda chilled. The hosts were nice and friendly, and the food was served fast. It was my first time encountering Cambodian cuisine, but we were craving Thai food. Would really like to come back and try out Cambodian food! In the end, we ordered Tom Kha soup (served in a hotnpot), pineapple fried rice, pad Thai. For desserts, we ordered their mango sticky rice and Thai tea. The food was really tasty and well seasoned. Would come back again!

The food and the service were excellent! It was her first time coming to the restaurant. It is very clean and everything is very nice.

The crispy eggplant was soo good, crunchy and succulent. The shrimp snd fries were also fire
The food (noodles) were good but would have been better if their version on “low spicy” which is what I ordered was not very spicy. From now on I’ll order mild/ no spicy and add my own spice to my liking. I ordered take out and didn’t see anyone around to ask for my order. After a few minutes I checked the take out orders sitting on the counter and found mine. I grabbed it, walked out and then a lady comes out of the parking lot door to ask what I grabbed. I informed her I picked up my own order, I’m not Uber Eats, just my order and then asked what I ordered. I replied and she said okay. That wouldn’t be necessary if someone was at the counter for order pick-ups. Still, food was good.
After a long bouldering session I stopped here as I was craving carbs. I took the BBQ pork with brown rice which was pretty good. I definitely recommend this one. My wife took the green curry which she liked but I am not really a green curry fan. (Allergies) . My friend took the basil fried rice, the next thing I would recommend. We also got a shrimp and chicken Malaysian fried rice which lacked salt but was okay.
We've been going here for years. Food is tasty, fresh, and made to order at your spice level. There are often tables available, despite the appearance of heavy traffic - those cars are delivery folks with their own pickup door!
Came as a party of 7. Loved the food and the service was amazing. The lady was very funny and entertaining throughout. Loved the iced Thai tea 10/10.
Excellent place for Thai food in Bay Area. I’d have given 5 stars if it was a tad less expensive. We ordered Chicken Satay, Red curry and Crab meat Rice. But my favorite has to be Rock Cod fish. The fish just melts in your mouth. I highly recommend to try this. Dining area is limited but hygienic.
The good restaurant was good, ambience maybe needs to worked on a little, otherwise it's good. The food was also good and the portion was excellent. We have good taste in thai food so we tell that it was a little bland for our taste. But none the less it was good. Should give it a try.
This Thai restaurant offers flavorful dishes with generous portions. One of my friends has a shrimp allergy, so we asked the staff about the menu, and they were helpful in explaining which dishes contained shrimp. We ordered the pineapple curry and fried rice, and both were delicious. The atmosphere is okay, parking is convenient, and it looks like takeout is very popular here as well. I recommend giving it a try!
Review based off of DoorDash.\n\nlol they charge for lime and peanuts now..... they will use the new year as any excuse to raise prices even just for something as small as that.. I asked my dasher …
I had their delivery from Uber. They cheated me out of a side order and served a disgusting curry. I shall never taste their food again.
The yellow curry with chicken was not bad and actually tasty, however the potatoes could be cut up in smaller pieces that humans can actually consume - the chunks were too huge to place in the mouth. Also, the host was rude and not friendly at all when I picked up my food.
Total Score: 5.44 Bathroom: 3/5 Didn’t use the bathroom Customer Service: 3.5/5 Very friendly and easy to grab Ambiance: 4.25/5 Really nice homey restaurant vibes. Lots of decor too. Food: 2.5/5 It was fair. Got the yellow curry noodle and the vegetables lowkey were not that flavorful. Would think the curry flavor would seep in. The noodles and the curry themselves were good tho. Could not find any chicken tho lowkey. Wow: 0/1 Normal Thai restaurant Total Score = (CS + 2*AM + 5*FOOD + WOW)/0.9
bad food, bad service, worn out ambiance. not recommended. pretty expensive for quality of food.
they show less time for delivery on doordash but take at least double the time. and when I called to check on the status on the food, got a very rude person the phone!

Ugh, I will never eat here again. I have eaten here about 5-6 times and am disappointed every time I do. This last time I went was the worst and I will never return. I worked at a Thai restaurant for 4 years with chefs from Thailand during my college years, so I’ve had my fair share of Thai food. I was craving some pad Thai so I ordered it. Now, if a restaurant can’t make a good pad Thai, literally Thailand’s most known dish in the states, that’s not a good sign. The pad Thai was a soggy, MUSHY, wet mess. The noodles literally fell apart because it was SO soft. You can see the pieces in the photo. The pad Thai sauce also tasted off, like there was ketchup in it. When mentioned to the server, she said,” okay” and walked away. I don’t typically send back food or complain about it but this was inedible. What you see in the picture was exactly how much I didn’t eat. What made it worse was the lack of good customer service to address the issue. I was with 2 other people who were also extremely dissatisfied with their food; one of them also ordered the pad Thai. I feel like it’s been hard to find good Thai food in the South Bay. I’m still on the lookout for a good place but skip this one.
Honestly might have been the worst thai food. When I first try a new thai place, I usually get basic dishes to see how they are. I ordered pad thai, pad see ew, and spicy bamboo pork. Everything was swimming in grease and had the same ketchup-flavored sauce. The meats tasted old and the veggies were not even close to fresh. I would not return.
This isn't Thai food. Perhaps it is some other type of Asian food. The Pad Thai was bland and without spice. The Eggplant Basil contained more other vegetables than eggplant and those vegetables were chopped extremely large and undercooked. The Papaya Salad was soggy, 50 percent lettuce for $18. The Tom Yum soup had the same coarsely chopped undercook vegetables as the Eggplant Basil and barely any flavor. Now we remember why we didn't eat here again years ago. A disappointing meal for $90+ with tip.
I went to pick up my order for uber eat Despite standing there for four or five minutes, no one came to me. Then I called out and heard a voice saying, "Your order is not ready." When I looked at the table, my order was ready. After standing for two or three minutes, I told them, "My order is ready on the table. Should I pick up my order?" They told me to stand outside and we will come and give you the order ourselves. They spoke very rudely to me, very angrily. After standing there for five minutes, they came to me and asked me why they were not giving me my order. And I got this answer from them that I am alone here and I am doing all the work myself, so I did not have time. Even though I had said that I should pick my order, they still gave me this answer. I request the owner of this restaurant to increase his staff a little. One man cannot manage all this.
