On a corner of the popular Paseo de Corvera, in Murcia's Barrio del Carmen, Pepe de los Jamones continues to serve up honest, high-quality ham. A bar, a few tables, and a genuine desire for every customer to leave happy. Sandwiches or michirones (a bean stew), migas (fried breadcrumbs), or plates of ham with cheese. Tradition at affordable prices and very attentive service. Today, Tuesday, we tried some delicious migas, two plates, with chunks of meat and green pepper. We accompanied it with a couple of plates of ham with cheese, one more aged than the other, and a small tomato and olive salad. To drink, we had some of their barrel wine, two bottles, and a bottle of soda to make the wine lighter. What can you do? €13 per person. An amazing price. They have other wines, and rather sad glasses. But the result is very pleasant and surprisingly honest. There are no tricks here.

One of the busiest bars in Murcia hands down. This place is always full of people, and if you are lucky enough to get inside the atmosphere is worth it! It's chaotic, energetic and truly a sign of a very very successful business. Service can be difficult to get because of how busy they are but worth the wait.

A typical Murcian tavern with a sandwich that's representative of the place and is quite good. In my case, I found the aioli sauce they give you to be very tasty. A good place to stop by and grab a quick, tasty bite.

We spent a few days in Murcia and went to this restaurant for dinner on two occasions. It's a long-standing spot filled with locals, which says a lot about a place. The quality of the products and the friendliness of the waiters when advising on their dishes make for a very pleasant experience. Highlights include the michirones, the potatoes with garlic, and the super pepe. Being pregnant, I wasn't able to try their dry sausage with almonds, but we'll definitely return here in the future to enjoy all their dishes.

After a snooze on the train back from Cartagena we spotted this bar ( in the Lonely Planet) that offers lots of jamon. Jorvic and Paulicarus just wanted a small beer. The better half had a tortilla. Lovely traditional tapas bar. Sells a lot of ham butties. Also sell Alhambra Radler in bottles.

I only spent a few minutes eating a ham sandwich (with some special ingredients) and a marinera (a type of tapa). Everything was good, and the value for money was fantastic! It's near the train station, a short walk, and well worth it.

En mi caso solo puedo hacer una valoración de los desayunos, que es lo que nos tomamos mi pareja y yo. Nos encanta tomar una tostada de jamón cuando vamos a algún bar, y tratándose de "Pepe de los Jamones" no nos lo pensamos dos veces y nos pedimos una cada uno, de la que sin duda esperábamos mucho más. El jamón no estaba cortado en el momento, más bien parecía que lo acababan de sacar de un paquete de supermercado y el pan bastante normalito, tirando a malo. Comparado con otros bares de la zona el precio lo vimos un poquito alto, y más teniendo en cuenta el producto. Bastante decepcionante, al menos los desayunos no los recomiendo.

Podría opinar mejor si hubiera tenido la posibilidad de poder cenar. Fuimos un viernes noche y como era previsible nos tuvimos que ir sin tomar nada por la gran cantidad de clientes que había. Enhorabuena por ese aforo tan considerable y en otra ocasión espero poder tomar algo.

This is a neighborhood restaurant, long-standing in the city and faithful to traditional Murcian cuisine. It's very busy and in a location that's difficult to reach by car, so you have to plan ahead, but its prices are competitive, and all in all, the place maintains the essence of 40 years ago. The quality of the food, however, isn't the highest, and you often end up waiting for a long time, especially if you're seated. It's a family-friendly establishment that's ideal for avoiding mistakes; it just requires patience.

Un poco decepcionante. Eres tan fuerte como la parte más débil de la cadena. La camarera con gafas, anota tu pedido y luego se olvida de ponerlo. Le vuelves a informar y ella recuerda que nuestra cuenta estaba completamente equivocada. Se olvidó de pedir 2 platos, así que los eliminamos de la cuenta. Espero que no te debamos dinero. Si lo hacemos, te lo devolveremos en nuestro próximo viaje a Murcia. Teníamos 6 cañas, un plato pequeño de michirones y un plato pequeño de lacón: nuestra cuenta solo 12 €. No nos dimos cuenta porque teníamos prisa. Excelente comida 5⭐️ servicio 0⭐️.....
