Awesome staff with great hospitality. Delicious food, especially Margarita Pesto Deep Dish Pizza
As always, the pizza was absolutely incredible. Even better tonight I got to dine in and Alvaro was a great server and made dinner wonderful. Thanks!
Marquis was our bartender tonight and he always does an amazing job. He’s always friendly, provides amazing customer service, and is there whenever you need anything. Always nice catching up with the LOUFAM. If you’re looking for an AMAZING bartender check out Lou’s in Naperville. All the bartenders are great and we love them. Great beer and great food 🍻
From NY so we had to get some pizza... It did not disappoint, sooooooo good! Also the apps were good too.
The blonde bartender was the sweetest. She made one if the best drinks ive ever tried!!! limoncello martini I love you . This place is awesome :)
Well, we liked it. Lou's deep dish Pizza with sausage was flavorful. Calamari was crispy and delicious, but the dipping sauce had way too much ketchup. Service was up to the mark. Deep dish pizza takes time and they were up front about it. Drinks were very good. We had the Cosmopolitan and Malnati's Mule. Both good. I can see myself coming back here for more.
Had an amazing time! The place to have the Chicago famous Deep dish Pizza! We went in the afternoon so it was laid back and relaxed. The food took time to come out but man, it was worth every bit of it. Our hostess was super sweet and very attentive. Highly recommend it! Can’t wait to visit again.
It lives up to its reputation. I don’t know how they do it but for deep dish I certainly did not feel like all I had was bread. They really deep the dish with fresh tomatoes, sausage and what seems to be their own special style mozzarella. Would I ship it to me to eat? Yes. Yes I would! Our server Cheyenne was so jovial! She was also really helpful in making sure we understood the menu. All that makes a meal just a little bit better!
Wings were amazing. Personal pan tasted pretty good. I should have ordered more toppings as just sausage didn't quite cut it for me personally. Server was outstanding. Gorgeous decor in an old fire house.
Had a wonderful experience after being frustrated with the Lou Malnati’s app. A young man named Ian I helped me order over the phone on my way home from work. He troubleshooting everything like nothing was an issue. Very kind and courteous young man. I would carry out from thisLou Malnati‘s again!
Great butter crust deep dish. The salad was fresh and pieces of veggies were sized perfectly. Love this place and the food is served by great staff.
First time ever having Chicago deep dish pizza and I was super impressed! I got “well done” crust, which as flaky and crispy. I loved the “gooey” crust that we had at the table even more. Just softer and chewy. Not undercooked like the term gooey would imply. We also go the sampler appetizer and they might have been the best mozzarella sticks I’ve ever had!
I brought my parents Lou Malnati’s carry out. They ordered the Chicago Classic and a Lou Malnati’s salad. They were extremely happy with it, and they are tough critics! The only reason I rated the service 4 out of 5 is that I had a 12:40 PM pick up time and the order wasn't ready until 12:52 PM. The staff was very kind and courteous at the desk, which made up for the wait!
This is my first time enjoying Lou Malnati's pizza, the deep dish is the best I've ever had! I added butter crust to my deep dish. Good thing there is not a location in my state, I'd eat it at least 3 times a week, lol! I'd love to try some other items on the menu.
Wow what an amazing experience all around. I lived in Chicago from 2017-2020 and Lou’s is my fav and was a must stop while visiting Chicago for a hockey tournament. Everything about this location was beyond awesome. Susan our waitress so sweet and delivered a premium experience. The new pesto margarita pie was to die for an a must try! Everything was delightful and we are definitely going to stop by again before we fly out! Definitely a must when in the area and by far my best experience in all of the Lou’s I’ve visited throughout the city! Again I have to say SUSAN YOU ARE A TRUE GEM THANK YOU FOR MAKING OUR EXPERIENCE SO GREAT 🍕
Man this place was awesome!! I love deep dish pizza and this place does phenomenal deep dish at personal pizza sizes which I really appreciate. Definitely try the butter crust when you're here. It's decadent! And the fried mozzarella was a perfect appetizer
Amber was our server. She was fantastic. Attentive but not overbearing. We never wanted for anything. A great teammate. The food was delicious. I'm from out of town and wanted a pizza fix and it was on point. Oh, enjoyed the ducks. Lol! 👍👍👍👍
Absolutely! Here’s a polished version for your Google review: --- I recently visited this fantastic pizza place, and I have to say, it truly delivered an authentic Chicago-style experience! The pizza was delicious, with a perfect crust and rich, flavorful toppings that made every bite memorable. Our server/Lisa was exceptional—patient, kind, and attentive, ensuring that our dining experience was top-notch. I highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for genuine Chicago-style pizza. You won't be disappointed!
We were a family of 6 people visited for early dinner on a Saturday. To find a parking spot is a challenge. There are street parking if you can find one and also a open free parking place behind the restaurant. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable and very accommodating with vegetarian options. We tried their famous deep dish pizzas, Mozzarella bites, some cocktails . All of them were delicious. We had a whole pizza to take out as well 😉 Check it out!
We were visiting from Ohio. Our host picked this place for dinner. Early dinner reservation worked really well. Atmosphere is very welcoming and loved the juicy pizza. Definitely a place to come back!
Frequent this location and always have a delicious meal. We love the deep dish pizza. Delicious sauce, buttery crust, and delicious fresh ingredients. Great atmosphere and clean dining area. Love the fact it's located in an old fire station on Main Street. Nice decor. Staff all professional, and courteous. Totally recommend. Our pic is of the Lou deep dish, and the classic. So good.
I really love this pizzeria. The food is always delicious, and the atmosphere truly feels American — cozy, lively, and welcoming. It’s a great place to relax and enjoy a good meal. I highly recommend this place!
Pizzas are absolutely amazing! We were merely driving through Chicago on a long car ride and decided to fulfill a heartfelt request for a Lou Malnati's frozen pizza. We decided since we were stopping anyway to take our lunch break. Our visit couldn't have gone better! We were able to sit on a covered patio with a dog, too. It does take 30 minutes for the deep dish, but definitely worth your time, the calamari and salad servings were plenty enough to share. Perfect lunch!
The absolute best pizza I've ever had. Perfect crust, I thought it'd fall apart being a deep dish but it held together perfectly and was SO good. I got the deep dish lou - 11/10 reccomend.
Carol was super sweet. Brought out food with enough time to not feel rushed. Carol had a very magnetic personality! Love!!!
Pizza was perfect, great stop during my trip to Naperville. Friendly host and clean restaurant. I got takeout but can also recommend dining in.
Here is a polished, upbeat review you can use: Had a great experience at Lou Malnati’s in Naperville. I tried the Deep Dish Chicago Classic, the chocolate chip pizza, and the ravioli crisps, and everything came out hot, fresh, and full of flavor. The deep dish was exactly what you hope for from Lou’s, and the dessert pizza was the perfect sweet finish. Our server, David, was very friendly and checked in often. He was a little over attentive at times, but overall made the visit enjoyable. I’d definitely come back.
By our luck, every time we dine at Lou Malnati's particularly this location, our service somehow gets better. We came in during the holiday parade, and they accommodated us to a booth table. Our server, Tim, was truly the best part of the evening. He was attentive and kind, and did his best to ensure we had the best time. We absolutely did. As always, the food was phenomenal. Will most definitely be coming back in a clock's tick of time.
We (a party of 4) were greeted at the front desk by 2 young ladies who were smiling & friendly. About 10 minutes later we were shown to our table in the back room. Our server David arrived within 60 seconds and took our drink orders AND our salad & pizza order (we knew what we wanted right away!) David was attentive and friendly, talking easily with us. He served the pizza smoothly, with the skill of someone who's been doing this for years. David is definitely an asset to Lou's as he communicates easily with the patrons and quickly attends to whatever they need.
My office loves it when I bring Lou in for lunch. Always a great experience. Friendly staff, very friendly, great pizza always consistent. The lou salad is best salad anywhere. I recommend some toppings on side if some of your group does not like them all.
Had a great time as usual. Our family of 6 all had the legendary deep dish that was fabulous. Yuen was our server and didn't miss a beat, pizza was hot, the beer was cold. If you're in the area you won't be disappointed.
From Champaign, IL. Meeting my son. No reservation. Arruved at 6:30. Told our wait would be 1.5 hrs. We pre-ordered while we waited. Got seated in 45 minutes which was great. Pizza not done until 8pm. Ordered the toasted ravioli as an appetizer. I liked them but my son did not. Pizza was great. Our waitress Nina was great.
Carol was a wonderful waitress. Very pleasant and totally attended to our needs and comfort. We live in VA. Here on family business. It’s always a priority to make to Lou’s at least once during these trips. Absolutely love the pizza!’
The service was excellent. Our server, Lynen, was incredibly kind and attentive, and she helped us with our order with a genuine, welcoming smile. Her professionalism and positive attitude truly enhanced our experience. Thank you so much.
Great experience and fantastic food. Yuen was absolutely great and taking care of our family and she was unbelievably attentive. She made it a great night in addition to the great pizza, salad, pasta and wings
We had a relatively large order covering 15 people and ordered 7 pizzas of different sizes and ingredients, pasta and salad. Lou's prepared the order perfectly as requested, the order was ready for pick-up at the quoted time, and the staff providing the pick-up service were helpful and friendly. The pizzas were really good and thankfully there were left-overs for our guests to take home.
Yuen took great care of us! We never had to ask for refills or extra napkins, our food came out fresh and hot, in a timely manner. Even on a busy Saturday night, without a reservation, my husband and I were treated kindly, and had a great time. P.S. Try the new Triple Pepp pizza - it's delicious for pepperoni lovers! Loved the Garlic Parmesan wings Yuen recommended too. :)
I was in town on business and had to have deep dish. it was a Friday night about 6 o’clock, and the restaurant was filling up. The host staff got us seated in the bar area very quickly and our server got right to us. We ordered the ravioli bites for a starter and they were delicious. We then ordered two personalized deep dish pizzas and a Caesar salad. The Lou's Pizza was one of them, and then we also ordered a custom personal deep dish, both on the butter crust. The menu says the pizzas take about 30 minutes, but I didn’t really feel like it took that long. The atmosphere and the restaurant was great. A lot of energy and you could tell the team members worked well together. The Caesar and the pizzas were both very delicious. And our server, Alvaro, was absolutely amazing. he was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. We also had a little time to visit with him and he’s just a super sweet guy. If I lived here, I would go back and ask for him every time.
Food was great as always, the Lou’s classic is perfect, thin crust is delicious, and the salad is very good. Service was alright. Took a while to get anything and it was pretty slow there. We like Lou’s and will continue to come back.
Very nice Lou Malnati’s pizzeria location right in downtown Naperville. Especially on a nice weather evening. They have a very nice area to sit outside. We were seated very quickly and the pizza and a bruschetta appetizer was delicious. Service was not the best. I think it was a very busy day because the weather was perfect and they may have been understaffed. Our server didn’t visit our table very often. But besides that overall a good experience.
There was a kitchen mistake that affected our meal but my guy Zachary helped us out and saved the night. Been coming to Lou’s for decades and I’m glad to see that I can still happily come back. The pizza was fantastic as always by the way. Please put a restaurant in Seattle, we need the deep dish!
Pizza was great as always. Service was a little slow at the beginning. Table got overlooked. Waited a while. I don't blame the server. She should have been notified we were seated Three people including another server, a Hostess and manager standing at the cash register 10 ft from our table and no joke, 10 minutes no acknowledgement, nothing. I finally got up and asked for water. Thats inexcusable. Once the server realize we were there, she did apologize and was great! No teamwork though.... Next time Maybe bring us some water and mention "our server will be with you shortly" They were busy but not busy enough to where the host or manager standing 10 feet from us didn't know we were there and weren't getting greeted. After all, THEY sat us. Do better!
Our waitress Lianna was absolutely lovely from start to finish!! She was polite, friendly, and made great conversation. She got everything out in a timely manner, she was just fabulous. But the hostess Daelia had a bad attitude when we asked her if we could move tables due to my mother having a migraine and being sat near a group of louder children, then still did not let us move to a different table. The food was great as always and hot!!
Stopped by Illuminati’s in Naperville, Illinois, with some colleagues on a work trip to finally try authentic Chicago-style deep dish pizza. We started off with a couple of drinks, which were solid and well-made. For appetizers, we ordered the calamari and the buffalo chicken boneless bites—both were pretty good and came out fresh. we tried a fee deep dish pizzas: The Lou and the Meat Lover’s. The Lou had good flavor, but the amount of tomatoes was a bit excessive for my taste. As for the Meat Lover’s, my colleagues thought it was okay, though a few slices turned out a bit watery—maybe from oil or moisture in the toppings. Overall, the pizzas were good, but not amazing, and I think we realized deep dish just isn’t our personal favorite style. On the plus side, the restaurant itself has a nice atmosphere, friendly service, and a convenient location. It’s definitely worth trying if you want to experience Chicago-style pizza firsthand, but for us, it was more of a “good once” type of stop than a must-return visit.
I loved the location it was cute. Server was amazing and attentive even though it was a Togo order. I'm from Texas and wanted to try deep dish. I got a small Lou and was not very impressed. The dough had this off taste. And came out soggy. Was much better the next day heated in the oven. Considering it's there most popular pizza I was shocked at the lack of flavor. And I'm not sure the going price for pizza but $25 for a small that didn't "blow my skirt up" seemed a little outrageous. The service and cute environment is why I'm giving more stars. Also the salad my sister got was an amazingly good portion, but I wasn't I impressed with the quality of the veggies. There might be better options if you're going to spend this much
We’ve been coming here since 2018 and have always had an excellent experience — great food and even better service. Unfortunately, our visit yesterday was very disappointing. We arrived around 6:30 PM and requested a table for eight people plus a child seat. The host told us there would be about a 10-minute wait, which was perfectly fine. However, when we were seated, the table was clearly set for six. They had added a seventh chair and squeezed in a high chair awkwardly between our table and another. We mentioned that we had a party of eight, but the host responded with, “Well, this is the best we have, and you should be clearer next time or call ahead to make a reservation,” in a tone that was unnecessarily rude. When I reminded him that we did say eight plus a child, he curtly replied, “Well, are you staying or not?” Despite the poor start, we decided to stay because our out-of-town guests were excited to try the place. The garlic bread and one of the pizzas were excellent, but the second pizza had hair in it. We informed our server, who simply said, “You can either wait 40 minutes for a new one or I’ll take it off the bill.” There was no apology or concern — just a flat response. It was really disappointing, especially for a restaurant we’ve supported for years. This experience was not at all reflective of the service and quality we’ve come to expect.
I tried Lou Malnati’s after 4 years this is what I got in the name of deep dish. First of all, this was not at all “deep dish” at all, it was just a big chunk of crust and a little bit of sauce and toppings on it. It was very dry and did not taste good. We ordered it especially for our guests who came to Chicago and wanted to try Chicago’s famous deep dish. I was embarrassed serving this to them. Very disappointed. I know they used to be really good in the past, I’m not sure what happened.
I ordered delivery yesterday, and my pizza was delivered on the floor in the lobby of my building. I specifically asked for it to be put in the package room on the shelf. And the pizza was not transported flat, so the cheese slid to one side, which allowed sauce, cheese, and any moisture to soak one side of the pizza crust, and the inside of the box. What a waste of money. I'll never order delivery from this place again, and I reccomend anyone reading this not to as well. Very unprofessional. And the pizza wasn't as hot as it could have been, because the protective film was only covering half of the pizza. I also asked for parmesean cheese, and didn't get the amount requested, but I got a lot of crushed red pepper that I absolutely didn't ask for. And I didn't get the napkins, and utensils I asked for. Never again. Do Better!
Visiting from out of town and our local Lou’s was recently closed. We were super excited to try it again, but was only met with disappointment! Undercooked pizza, soggy cold wings, and less than ideal delivery. Why charge a $6 delivery fee if the food is delivered with DoorDash by drivers who can’t follow simple instructions? Just disappointed to spend so much and receive garbage quality food.
Bought 6 on Loutogo web. 2 free. Throwing them out. Came frozen which basically ruins them. Crust so hard can't put a steak knife thru it! Don't waste your $130.00.
