Food was great. The creamed corn might be the best I have ever had. I loved the popcorn lobster thing and the salad was delicious. Of course the steak was top tier but that goes without saying. But…. What made my night was the service. I sat by myself at the bar and was served by Nick. He was incredible. If you come here make sure you ask for him!
We went to Kaynes prime for an anniversary dinner. If I was on death row and this was served as my last supper, I’d rest easy. Thank you Kaynes for an amazing time.
I'm writing this as I'm waiting for my card to come back. This place was amazing! Food 10/10 the service! Chef's Kiss. Everyone spoke and was welcoming and friendly and our server Todd was amazing and knowledgeable and attentive without being over bearing. Loved it. Will definitely return.
We went to Kayne Prime for our 33rd wedding anniversary. This restaurant came highly rested by a large number of our local friends. We have been wanting to check it out. The valet service was excellent. Your vehicle is kept close and the valets are very quick and attentive. The host station is just I sit be door. It we below 30 and the host station was a little cool but they took care of our coats. We were shown to our table at the booths in the bar. This was a nice, quaint location to have a little privacy. Emilee, Andrew and JJ did take phenomenal care of us. Emilee led the team and educated us on the menu. Steaks and particularly Waygu, both domestic and Japanese, are their specialty with some excellent seafood on top. We had the small seafood tower. The shrimp, lobster, king crab legs and oysters were superb. This was top 3 for giant prawns we’ve ever had. I also had the wedge salad which was great!! I can see the draw of this restaurant. Their domestic Waygu is very reasonable compared to their prime cuts. For an upgrade they have the top of the line Japanese Waygu for an upgraded price. We had the prime filet and the sea bass. They both ranked high on our top list. The steak was perfect temperature and the sea bass was buttery and flakey. Very satisfied with their quality and flavor. We had the gratin and the cream spinach sans egg as our sides. Both were very good. Finally we pushed back for dessert. We had the recommended banana nut bread with the caramel sauce and the gelato. Definitely an excellent recommendation!!! For our anniversary, the brought and Apple mascarpone. Exquisite presentation. Looked just like a real apple and tasted great. The drinks were pretty good. The bourbon selection was decent but a little top heavy. We finished and settled up and quickly retrieved our car and jetted off with full belly’s, very satisfied with our Kayne experience!!
Great steak dinner split a big ribeye was perfect would have been nice of the offered to slice it rather than me have to cut it for us. lobster mac and cheese was a miss loved the bacon and cotton candy. lots of fun items. tuna was good as well POPOVERS amazing
Really, REALLY enjoyed my time here. Duncan was AWESOME at the bar. We had literally no wait for anything, even when the restaurant was completely busy. The food is absolutely amazing and my cup was always full. Whoever was in the kitchen cooked my salmon entree perfectly, and the sear was impeccable. The black kale salad is AMAZING - definitely my favorite dish of the night. I highly recommend the bread pudding for dessert!
Came here 2.5 years ago and had one of my most memorable steak dinners ever. Oddly enough besides the amazing food our runner that night had an awesome personality and made the night memorable. Turns out he’s still here and a server now, Kyle. Sat at the bar tonight with Kelly and the service was just as good! The drinks are top notch and Kelly really knows her craft. Food wise all you need to know is get a steak, the flavor, temperature and incredible sear was perfection. I will be back every time I visit Nashville, don’t miss out!
It was our first time visiting Nashville and our first time having dinner at Kayne. Wow! What a wonderful experience all around. The food was so delicious, everything was really outstanding. The host, Jaydon, was so welcoming, our server, Mark, was really great, and Emily made us feel at home. They are all absolutely lovely. We look forward to visiting again!
This restaurant confirms why I enjoy fine dining. An establishment that does not allow you to leave unsatisfied. Everything cooked and presented with perfection and love. Can’t wait to visit Nashville again. Thanks Mark for your exemplary service.
We had a wonderful, memorable experience at Kayne Prime on Friday night. Our server, Emily, her assistant, and the Somm were all great!! We loved everything about our experience. The timing of the courses was perfect. All of the food was great - the steaks were cooked perfectly and had amazing flavor. We will definitely be back when in Nashville!
Outstanding. Our third night in Nashville and finally had a phenomenal dinner and experience! Wendy, our host, was so gracious to move our table to a cozy booth. Dylan, our server, was to notch. All the service and staff was outstanding. They offer a variety of old fashions which were superb. For appetizers, we loved the bacon & popcorn lobster, for dinner, the Ribeye was perfectly cooked, with a hot pepper & popovers, and a side of the potato gratin with cheese. Highly recommended.
We made a reservation here at the recommendation of our driver and WOW…this place did not disappoint! Service & food was incredible! I ordered the black kale salad and tuna tartare. My husband had the filet and risotto tater tots. Everything was absolutely incredible! 10/10 recommend
We came here for our anniversary dinner and it was great! The filet was cooked perfectly and the potatoes gratin were delish! My husband loved their rolls. Service was incredible. Everyone was super nice and attentive. They brought us some champagne and a dessert to celebrate our anniversary too! We’d definitely come back. If you’re looking for a nice steak dinner id come here.
We absolutely love Kayne Prime. This was our second visit, and once again, the food was outstanding from start to finish. Everything we ordered was cooked perfectly and full of flavor. You can really tell how much care and attention goes into every dish that leaves the kitchen. Our server, Brea, was beyond amazing. She was warm, professional, and genuinely made us feel welcome. She also provided a celiac-friendly menu, which was such a thoughtful touch and made the entire dining experience so much easier and stress-free. It is rare to find a restaurant that takes dietary needs this seriously while still offering such an incredible selection of food. We brought our one-year-old along with us, and the staff could not have been more accommodating. They made sure we had everything we needed and made us feel completely comfortable dining with a little one. That kind of hospitality really makes all the difference. From the atmosphere to the service to the food, Kayne Prime continues to exceed our expectations every single time. It is one of those places that makes every visit feel special, and we are already looking forward to our next meal there. Highly recommend to anyone who appreciates excellent food, exceptional service, and a restaurant that truly cares about its guests.
This was our second time to visit Kayne Prime. And it was just as good as the first time. Noah our bartender took great care of us. The Wagyu filet was so delicious. And loved the Potatoes Gratin.
This place is absolutely outstanding! They have some unique foods, especially with the appetizers that are beyond delicious steaks are perfect. Staff is awesome atmosphere is awesome. I will definitely go back. Cannot recommend it highly enough!
This was the best good uber ever had. 10/10. Beautiful restaurant and atmosphere. Staff was so friendly. I would highly recommend.
Went for an anniversary dinner, the staff were wonderfully attentive and everything tasted amazing. The Autumn Winds cocktail was inspired and the marrow on toast with garlic confit was delightfully sinful.
I had a great time! The servers were all very kind and attentive, the atmosphere is calm and relaxing, and the food was phenominal. We had the seafood platter, popcorn butter lobster, waygu.. all the good stuff. Wow! I mean, for me, it was pretty pricey. Around 70ish for the cheapest steak option and up to several hundred (per 3oz) for Japanese Waygu! That said, if youre looking for a NICE steak house in Nashville .. this is it. Plenty of parking, allergy friendly, nice drinks. 5 stars!
Celebrated our 3 year anniversary here and it did not disappoint! We started off with the cotton candy bacon and the Caesar salad… which honestly was my favorite thing we had. They put worcestershire sauce on the salad, sounds funky but we loved it. For our steak, we did the Wagyu Australian ribeye. The steak was a little too charred for our liking but it was still great. The Gratin side was one of our favorites also. Outstanding service from Mark and Phillip! They were both very attentive and made our anniversary feel special.
Patrick, Nicole & Kara were an amazing trio of a wait-staff! We thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience at Kayne Prime! Delicious, unique dishes, great service and elevated atmosphere.
Celebrated my birthday yesterday at Kayne’s it was spectacular. Hi Wendy, my favorite was the Steak Tartare, now I’ve had plenty but the Wagyu grade steak set this one apart. I also topped a little unto my oyster oh it was the perfect bite. My steak was cooked to perfection and that was the best Salmon in town. A special shout out to my server he provided exceptional service the entire team was attentive and communicated well. My date is still raving, needless to say we will be back. P.S if you’ve never had cookies and milk at a restaurant, this is your sign you should.
Wow, what a great experience! Our server was phenomenal! I hate that I can’t remember his name, but he was friendly, efficient, knowledgeable, and a big part of our experience The food was great! The chef definitely not what you doing. Very high-quality across the board.
Wonderful service, and quality of food. Can’t go wrong if you’re looking for a wonderful steakhouse in Nashville.
Everything tasted phenomenal and I was super happy with the pacing of the meal. My husband and I went out to celebrate and everything was just wonderful! I wish we could come here more often 🥰
So my husband and I made reservations here on a Saturday night . Neither of us had ever been here before so we were totally blown away by the size of the place first. We were sat way in the back which was fine with us. Our waiter , Gray was phenomenal. We started off with oysters, which I had never had before. They were great, I guess, being that I had nothing to compare them to. Then I had the roasted halibut with cream corn brûlée. While the halibut was delicious, the cream corn brûlée definitely was my favorite. My husband had the wagyu filet with asparagus. Once again, the steak was great but the asparagus was even better. I don’t know what kind of bread they brought us but it was like nothing I’d ever tasted as far as bread goes. We got some chocolate cake to take home and once again, it was fantastically delicious. Even tho the steakhouse is on the pricier side , you get what you pay for. And the entire experience was spot on. They did not disappoint.
Valet parking made arrival easy. The food was excellent, everything was phenomenal. Atmosphere was quiet and easy to talk, and reservations are definitely recommended. A great spot for a special occasion.
I originally had a reservation for 2 on Thursday 2/20 but my guest was ill. The host directed me toward the back bar. I would have appreciated her walking me back there as I've never been here before but I was able to wander for a bit and find it. Jamie and Amber were phenomenal!! I was greeted promptly and walked through the menu by Jamie. Fantastic recommendations on food and drink: 1 of each oyster (2x) all lovely. Caesar salad - I loved the balsamic around the salad. 8oz Filet - MR cooked to perfection yakuniku BBQ - did not catch much on the BBQ flavor but the soy flavor was great Macaroni gratinee - I removed bacon (preference) Jalapenos weren't overwhelming, a great flavor cookies & milk Vanilla Old fashioned - LOVED this but I am impartial to amaro nonino Maple old fashioned - I picked up on a smokey flavor but not so much on the maple Tokyo Plum Old Fashioned - I enjoy trying new things, this was VERY floral even after removing the garnish. Well made just not to my taste. Great conversation with Jamie and Amber. Restaurant was busy but not over crowded. Music was there but not overpowering to the experience. 10/10 I will definitely recommend in the future.
Absolutely amazing experience. The server team we had were incredible! Laurel and Matthew communicated between each other to celebrate both my new job and my 40th birthday (which was yesterday). They made the experience so personal, even including a champagne toast to my late grandfather (who passed away 5 years ago tomorrow and was my best friend my entire life). The waygu strip was melt in your mouth delicious and cooked perfectly. My husbands tomahawk pork chop was insanely delicious and the sauce that accompanied it was so delicious I could have licked the plate. The salad in a restaurant is usually forgettable but their Cesar salad was absolutely out of this world!!! While the food was seriously so good the entire experience from seating to paying was flawless and we will definitely be back.
This was my second visit to Kayne Prime, and it continues to be my go-to for major milestones. After a wonderful 60th anniversary dinner for my parents here previously, I returned for a special friend’s birthday. The food and drinks were top-tier, but the service truly set the evening apart. Our server, Victor, was exceptional—he was attentive, professional, and went above and beyond to make the night feel celebratory. Another fantastic experience!
Thomas gave an absolute 5 star experience. From start to finish he genuinely went above and beyond. Every recommendation he gave was absolutely phenomenal, my favorite though had to be the Australian Ribeye along with the cream corn broule. Bravo, and thank you again, Thomas.
I will say, as a local, there are many options when it comes to a steakhouse around here but Kayne Prime has done it again! Our server, Mark, was on point! Overall outstanding service. Honestly all the staff, including the bartender, Vince. We had multiple staff members wish us a happy anniversary, everyone was professional, kind and attentive. Most importantly, the food was delicious as always! We will definitely be back soon. Thank you for making our anniversary dinner memorable.
Finally an upscale restaurant that’s worth the hype. From start to finish the experience was amazing. Everything was good no complaints. Can’t go wrong with the cotton candy bacon, the popcorn butter lobster is definitely different. Ribeye was cooked to perfection and Mac and cheese was decent but the star of the show was definitely the corn brûlée and potato augratin. Cant wait to come back and try other things
We had an amazing dinner experience at Kayne Prime last week. It’s hard to put into words the level of service and commitment to excellence that we experienced. Our server, Eric, was the most professional and caring waiter we’ve ever had. My husband and I have travelled extensively and this was definitely in our top 3 dining experiences. The popcorn lobster, Japanese wagyu, and maple cotton candy pork belly were beyond amazing. All of the food was beautifully presented and even better to taste. We can’t wait to come back! Can’t say enough about Eric’s attention to detail throughout the night. What a memorable dinner!
Elegant and fun atmosphere. Prime filet is prepared perfectly. Service is unsurpassed in the restaurant and in the bar. Very special night I want soon forget. Our first time there and will be back when in Nashville again.
I called Kayne Prime and made reservations for my wife's birthday 2/2, advising them we are both Veterans. The Fabulous experience they showed us was remarkable from sitting us at the Best Table in the house. To giving us a tour of the new additions to the restaurant, to the Superb Dining experience. My Wife and I had the Best Time ever and just had to take a moment to say Thanks for a Perfect Evening, We both Salute You for a job Well Done
Great restaurant for date night, social gathering or team dinner. Kayne Prime has some if the best food in town. The service is all hands on deck; servers are savvy, knowledgeable and kind. Valet parking attendants are swift and courteous. The space is comfortable and contemporary. The lounge is a very nice chill space while you wait for a table. The bar seating is very comfortable as well. I'd definitely recommend making a reservation. Definitely try the popcorn lobster...soooo good!! Porkchops, filets, salmon... all amazing. The Brussels were underwhelming, but all of the other food was top notch. I love celebrating myself and others on the space!!
The girls who answered the phone and changed my 6pm reservation to 5pm were very odd. I called 3 different times. When we arrived at 5pm the place was empty. The girls who answered the phone acted like there would be no seatings at 5pm whatsoever. Originally she would not give us a 5pm reservation. She would only make it for 5:45pm. Like I said this made no sense because when we arrived at 5pm it was completely empty. There was no one else at all in the bar area. On the other hand Nicole, Matt and Matthew were fabulous servers. They were incredibly personable. The food was fantastic! The watermelon salad was wonderful. The steak was divine. The cheesy potatoes were shockingly good. The popovers were a wonderful surprise. The little spoon with the chef's special prior to the meal arriving was a nice touch. The bar manager was helpful in selecting a good bourbon. The surprise lemon dessert with champagne for our 40th anniversary was so kind. We would definitely return! It was a fabulous ending to our Nashville visit.
Dinner at Kanye’s in Nashville delivered some serious surprises. The popovers and banana bread were hands-down the best I’ve ever had There were warm, fluffy, and basically impossible to stop eating. The cotton candy bacon sounded wild, but wow… oddly satisfying with that perfect sweet-and-salty combo. If you’re adventurous, it’s worth the try. I love a good hit of salt, so my chicken was a double WOW for both the cook and the flavor. My partner, though, felt it leaned a bit too salty for the cauliflower & his steak. So, seasoning preferences may vary. Portion sizes are no joke either. The meal was so filling that a full day later I’m still feeling it. Come hungry and maybe pace yourself 😅 Overall: bold flavors, fun twists, and definitely memorable.
Lovely place. Apps were just ok, I didn’t really “get” the popcorn lobster or cotton candy bacon. The steak was really good, grilled to perfection! Sides were just ok and the desserts were not great. If I do go back, it’ll only be for a steak.
Really nice steak house. The meat was perfect . We ordered pretty much all the starters. The one that I was not crazy about that they pushed so much was the crème brule creamed corn. Too much sugar. However the mushrooms bacon cotton candy and the potatoes gratin and bone marrow were exceptional and so was the service
Best steak i have had yet in Nashville! If your looking for a great spot with amazing service this is the place. The waiter was very informative on how everything is prepared and what wine went with what we ate. A for sure go to in Nashville.
I came to this location as part of a large dinner party associated with a work conference. We were seated immediately and walked through the restaurant and taken to a large private area in the back. The restaurant was dimly lit with nice furnishings and had a lot of ambiance. As it was a vendor paid dinner, the menu was pre-selected and the appetizers, sides and desserts were already chosen…I got to pick my entree and chose the filet steak. Appetizers brought out were popcorn lobster and cotton candy bacon. Did not try the lobster as I have a shellfish already but had the bacon. The cotton candy topping caramelized to the bacon and added a bit of a sweetness and crisp texture to the meat. A bacon salad and kale salad follows and both were tasty. Side that came out were asparagus and whipped potatoes with also some fried cheese curds. All were fine, nothing outstanding, but they were solid. When the steak came out, it was a little charred on the outside and more of a medium well temperate when I ordered medium. Good flavor and texture, the steak was fine but not great. Desserts that later followed were chocolate chip cookies and banana bread cupcakes. Cookie was nothing better than a good grocery store bakery cookie and the banana bread cupcake was also just ok, not as good as any homemade bread. Overall experience was just ok and for high end steakhouses, I have had much better experiences at many other locations. On my own dime, I would probably not visit this location again based upon this experience.
I lived in Nashville for three years and finally tried Kayne Prime after hearing consistently strong reviews. After reflecting on the experience, my girlfriend and I wanted to share some balanced feedback. Before our starters arrived, our server brought out two small shot-sized cups of hot chocolate that were only lukewarm. We then ordered the thick-cut cotton candy bacon and the duck confit tacos. The bacon had excellent flavor, but it was served warm rather than hot. The duck tacos featured a great shell, sauce, and duck texture, but the filling itself was somewhat sparse and could have used more substance. For our entrées, we both ordered steaks cooked medium to medium-rare. While the doneness was correct, the steaks could have been served warmer. At a steak-focused restaurant, this stood out to us. We also shared the potato gratin, which had good flavor but was slightly over-salted. Overall, we felt the bread, cotton candy bacon, and gratin were the highlights of the meal. However, the steaks themselves felt average relative to the restaurant’s reputation and price point. The atmosphere is modern and appealing, but based on this visit, the overall experience did not fully meet our expectations. Compared to past steakhouse experiences in Nashville, including meals at The Standard and Sperry’s, this visit did not stand out at the same level.
Honestly, we expected more from the prices and the hype around this restaurant. This was our first visit and will most likely be our last. I ordered the bone in ribeye and my wife ordered the wagyu filet. Side of Mac and cheese and truffle fries. The food was just very mediocre in general. Fries came out cold, the macaroni had no pepper or salt, very bland. The steaks were good, but again…no where near worth the price. I have had much better steaks at chain restaurants. We were given a gift card, and honestly, I am glad we had a gift card. It would have been really disappointing if we came and paid that much for a meal of this quality. The service was ok. The ambience was ok, bathrooms were pretty dirty. Again, overall we expected more from this place. Very underwhelming for such a “staple” in Nashville fine dining.
My lady and I visited Kayne Prime in Nashville for dinner during a three-day trip celebrating my 39th birthday. It was the first restaurant on our list, and unfortunately, it ended up being the least impressive — especially given it was also the most expensive meal of the weekend. We were seated in the back at a high-top table that felt pretty unspecial and away from the main energy of the restaurant. These tables are definitely not as formal or celebratory as the booths and should really be noted when making a reservation — especially for a special occasion. Most of the booths were occupied by larger groups, which makes me think the restaurant is probably better suited for parties of four to eight rather than couples. The service was okay, but there were noticeable lulls throughout the evening — including an hour-long gap between our appetizers and entrées. For just two people, that felt like too much downtime. On the positive side, the appetizers were the highlight. The popcorn lobster shooter was excellent. On the other hand, the Brussels sprouts were a big miss — basically boiled with no char, seasoning, or flavor. I was expecting something roasted or caramelized with a bit of balsamic or spice, but they were just flat. The manager did stop by our table during dinner, which I appreciated, and later followed up by email — a nice touch. But overall, the meal didn’t live up to the $400 price tag. The food and service were fine, just not exceptional, and not at the level you’d expect from a place with that reputation and price point. Every other restaurant we tried in Nashville that weekend was better and far less expensive. I’m glad we experienced Kayne Prime once, but I wouldn’t go back.
We decided to celebrate our wedding anniversary at Kayne Prime since my partner had fond memories of dining there with his parents for their 50th anniversary years ago. He wanted to share that special experience with me. To start on a positive note, the food was excellent. The cotton candy bacon was truly one-of-a-kind, and my bone-in rib-eye was cooked to perfection. Unfortunately, the service did not meet the expectations one would have for a high-end steakhouse. After ordering drinks and appetizers shortly after being seated, our entrées took over an hour to arrive after the appetizers were served. During that time, two different managers stopped by our table to apologize, explaining that a large party ahead of us was causing delays. When I expressed my disappointment to one of them, his response was dismissive, simply saying, “Well, if there’s anything we can do, let us know,” before walking away. Despite the long wait, the restaurant made no real effort to make up for the delay. The only thing we were given were two pieces of bread, which our server said were “to make sure your stomachs don’t start growling.” By the time our entrées finally arrived, well past 9:15 PM, it was too late to truly enjoy our meal. I expected at least a small gesture, such as a comped drink, dessert, or appetizer, but nothing was offered. If a restaurant cannot handle large parties without impacting other guests’ dining experiences, it should reconsider accepting additional reservations. Our evening, which was meant to be a special celebration, turned into a disappointment. With so many great steakhouses in Nashville, there’s no reason to settle for subpar service. I won’t be returning, and I recommend others take their business elsewhere to avoid a similar experience.
The food and service do not compliment one another. The food is ok. It's nothing spectacular but also not bad. it's middle of the pack for a decent steakhouse. The service is what could elevate this place. The staff were nice and friendly. The wait between dishes is where the opportunity lies. 2 hours and 15 minutes for appetizers and entree for a group of 7 is too long in my opinion. We expected to be done with our meal 45 earlier than what it took. They offered a small snack in between because they knew it was taking quite some time between the appetizers and entree. I hope they take this feedback and use it as an opportunity to improve service and enhance the overall experience. I wouldn't return based on my experience.
Absolutely awful experience. We came here for my birthday, and it was hands down the worst birthday dinner I’ve ever had. It took 45 minutes to get seated after we already made a reservation, almost an hour just to get appetizers, and they were out of the oysters we came for. The place was insanely loud, and we got shoved into a corner while big tables were clearly prioritized. When our food finally showed up nearly two hours later, our steaks were completely overcooked, dry, and tough. I was given a steak I didn’t even order. For the insane price this place charges, the quality was embarrassing. The only good thing about the night was our server, who was super kind and clearly doing his best, but everything else about this restaurant was a total disaster. Do yourself a favor and skip Kayne Prime. Overhyped, overpriced, and absolutely not worth it.
I had dinner tonight with my dad and normally I am not a person who leaves poor reviews, but this is something that I really think people should know that are getting ready to dine in here. I made a reservation a couple weeks back for a table at 8:00 PM on a Saturday night we arrived at 7:50 PM and waited 40 minutes for our table to be ready. The woman at the front was incredibly rude and unhelpful. She said that we would be one of the next tables to be seated, and then we proceeded to watch her seat five other parties in front of us. We finally got sat down at our table and it took about 10 minutes for someone to come over and walk us through the menu and take our drink order at the end of our dinner, nothing was comped on our bill. For this sort of establishment charging these prices, I am absolutely blown away. It’s fully unacceptable on all levels and I think that if you were looking for a fine dining steakhouse restaurant in Nashville, you really should go somewhere else in order to have a much better experience. Everyone in the restaurant also just seem to be miserable and not really enjoying their jobs and it definitely made for the atmosphere to be lackluster. I will say that the food was good and our steaks were cooked well, But overall, what we experienced with the atmosphere in the environment can’t make up for the good food, unfortunately. Dinner for my dad and I was over $300 with tip and it truly was such a poor experience. I would not recommend and I will not be back here.
