My daughter and I stopped here to get her a cheeseburger and French fries 'to-go' after a busy day of holiday shopping in Nevada City on December 24. Ordering via phone was easy, with the person taking my order being super friendly. I was told it would becready in 20 minutes, which it was. All of downtown Nevada City was busseling with last-minute shoppers, and I was worried we wouldn't find parking anywhere remotely close to Crazy Horse. We were incredibly lucky to have scored a spot directly out front while lines of cars were circling every block looking for parking. Walking in, the atmosphere was extremely celebratory and high energy with lots of happy looking patrons on every barstool and at every table. I was warmly greeted by the busy bartender as soon as I stepped in, and it felt like a great place to hang out. However, my 13-year-old daughter was waiting in the car for her burger, so I couldn't stay, but I would absolutely love to under different circumstances. My order was ready right away, and the bartender was so awesome and friendly as she helped load me up with condiments and made sure I had everything I needed before I left. My daughter loved her burger and said said it was perfect. I tried her French fries, which were also excellent-perfectly seasoned and crispy. Overall, I had an excellent experience and was even more impressed with how positive everything was- from the phone order and parking, to stepping in and being happily greeted by the friendly bartender who gave off happy vibes that made me want to sit down at her bar for the afternoon- especially considering how crazy busy and hectic it was everywhere downtown. I wouldn't hesitate to come back in the future and hope I do sometime soon! I

Best fish and chips in town. The last time I was there the service was awful and they really were not that busy which bums me out because I have been a patron of the horse since Ray was the owner way back in the day. My parents used to ride their Harleys there with their friends and I kissed my son's father for the very first time in there... So I HATE saying anything even close to not excellent about them. I will chalk it up to having a bad day and hope it never happens again. 🤞🏼Fingers crossed there is nowhere to pick my fave dish which is the fish n chips! YUMMMM

I've been coming to this bar for about 20 years. Except of course when they changed from a super cool mountain town bar, to a yogurt shop lol. But when it's been a bar, It really is a perfect spot. Strong drinks and way fair prices. Bartenders are always cool and they've got a very eclectic mix of music types that perform there. I haven't tried the food, but everyone says its great. Stop in for a drink. You'll dig it too

I love this place because it's like one of the only places that's open late night for organic local food. It's actually the only late night food spot, taking food orders until 11 p.m. when the kitchen. The women that work there are amazing andHave great attitudes. They have to put up with a lot so please be nice to them and give them good tips. I live downtown and see how hard they work, because I frequent this spot for dinner.their greens and meats are all organic and local if not their natural and as close to organic as can be. I really like their salads burgers and their brats.

Food is amazing. I've never had a complaint about the food in the 11 years of going here. The only thing to be aware of is you needn't be in a rush when dining here. The bartender is also the server so its not the quickest service. Expect to spend an hour when having lunch here. Service is always good.

Delicious food...I mean really delicious (especially the Tachos and steak sandwich)! The drinks are mixed perfectly too. The staff are amazing as well, super helpful, and they know how to hustle... it's our new favorite place in NC. Not over or inflated pricing. You get delicious food and drink and you won't break your bank. Highly recommend.

Great food. We especially loved the deep fried cauliflower with buffalo sauce. The mixed drink menu had some very unique and tasty options. The service was friendly and our group of 4 had a great time.

Badass place! Love it. First time in Nevada City and first place going into. Got the bacon blue burger. Tasted great. I don't drink alcohol but had some awesome chats with some locals. I think its the best bar and grill in Nevada City. The vibe is awesome, bar was full and food menu was yummy. We had the Buffalo Cauliflower and Cheese Curds for appa. Then we had Crazy Horse cheeseburger, Chicken bacon Swiss and fish and chips. The fish and chips were cooked a little much but they were eaten as well as all nummy food.

Always a great time! I only wish more music started earlier. The bartenders & staff are fantastic. The proprietor, Tyler Blue, really brings in excellent talent. I love seeing Achilles Wheel, Jessica Malone Band & Red Dirt Ruckus recently. I have fond memories of many bands, any with Tim High are great. Years ago Yarn came & I want them to come back! There's a great feel/vibe and all ages are welcome & kindness flows!

Tonight was Geezer Gig night, and the places was hopping, lots of locals and newbies alike. Awesome atmosphere, funky and cool with great live music. The food is high quality pub cuisine, and went enjoyed everything we've had so far (the artochoke spinach dip was my fav). I am definitely coming back soon.

You could get the sandwich with fries, tater tots or a salad. We opted for the side salad and it was lovely! The setting wasn’t fancy, but was full of history. I would love to go back some evening when the venue is popping with one of the many live bands that perform.

Great service, can't wait to go back, friendly atmosphere with much to feast your eyes. My mushroom cheese enchilada was off the hook.

It was over a 100° and close to lunch, Rachel greeted us and said we were welcome to sit at the bar. It was open, and we had a cold drink while we waited until 12:00 to order food... worth the wait! The dinner salad were great and we each had 2 different fish sandwiches... Yummy

This is my go-to place in Nevada City as a local. There are some pretentious places around town, but this is THE legit spot for just being. The burgers are excellent, they pour a generous cocktail, have a good beer selection, the live music is always good and the staff is friendly competent. Can't do better!

The only annoying thing is the occasional hipster that seeks a lot of attention, and makes things awkward on the dance floor. Besides that, amazing place. Much recommended!

Small, old, funky bar, with the Nevada City vibe. I've never tried the food, but the drinks are good and not too expensive. Fun place to see a psychedelic music band up close and personal. Ecstatic dancing, very trippy crowd at times.

It's a historic building. It was built around 1862. And it's in the heart of the old district in Nevada City. So the location is great, even beautiful. The food is better than decent. I would say it's not special, but whoever prepares it cares about what they're doing and the ingredients are decent. It has a fun atmosphere, and live music. Has an interesting mix of people that look quite affluent and people that do not. I'm not sure I would say go to this area for this establishment, I would say go to the area and enjoy many of the establishments including this one.

This was my first time going to the Crazy Horse Saloon & Grill. My friend, Ranelle, and I, had tickets to the Jessica Malone show. We had dinner and drinks before the performance. I have to say I was truly happy to have experienced this performance. My first time seeing Jessica Malone with her full band. They were fantastic, energetic, masters of their craft, and thoroughly entertaining. The crowd was surprisingly diverse. There were many different age groups.

Crazy Horse was absolutely fantastic. The staff was very friendly and attentive, and the drinks were good. I went on a night when a local band was playing and enjoyed myself. They opened up the floor for dancing (their are typically tables out) definitely recommend if you are looking for a place to go out for the night or if your craving a good artichoke dip.

Great little bar in a great little town. They take their music booking seriously and always have good shows going on. Staff was genuinely friendly. The food took a little while because I showed up behind a big party. The side salad with my B.L.T. was a proper salad, not just a plate with lettuce and a couple croutons, but some variety. I enjoy it here.

With one of the bartender servers who had to argue with me on how to use my phone to pay her and even though I insisted it would work, she argued with me and then argued me more till I showed her that not everybody has an Apple phone and Google pay is slightly more clever. Just wonder why a server has to argue with someone about their own phone 🙂

I go here frequently. Nice place, good food. However the male waiter with the dark hair, dreads and dirty clothing is ruining the place. He will never smile, slams drinks down, seems annoyed if you ask him for anything, just an overall net negative to the experience.

I ordered a burger togo. At the 35th minutes the bartender said my food is up next. I ordered burger and fries. The place was generally empty. 🚩

Bartenders got a chip on their shoulders. Food never came out. No one came over to get our order. No one followed up on the long wait time. Rude when taking order at bar. Not sure I’ll come back here as a local. Bartenders too cool for school.

With no other tables served food between 4 tops 35 minutes ago and us (at least not at tables). We are pretty diverse with rating and usually score high, but we won't need back.
