Great local Landmark Pub. Good food good beer on tap friendly service. This is a great stopping point on a motorcycle ride along Highway 49, the golden chain Highway.

Love this place. Over the years I've had quite a few good meals here. As I've explored gold country this had become an enjoyable waypoint. Friendly, no pretense.

I've been here three times since I've been visiting out here. Every time has been a pleasure. A different bartender every time and they've all been nice. The food is spot on and you get a big serving.

Good local bar. Decent service, bartender was a little skeptical of someone new but I like how they don't jip you on the shots. Good atmosphere, nice bartenders. I didn't get to try the food but I've only heard good things.

This place has great, ice cold draft beers. Taco Tuesday is the bomb. Bartenders are very friendly. Looks like it has a large clientele of locals who are also very friendly. I am new to the area and felt very welcome in this place. Pinball machine, video games, pool tables, darts and multiple televisions going showing sports and/or movies. Great Hamburgers and fries.

The bartenders at night are super sweet and even though my friend's who live out there kind of hate on the food, I really loved the French Dip I got, it was one of the best ones I've had in years!! I go out there all the time and I will keep going in there. Super fun place.

After digging out from the recent snow, Peterson's had a good crowd of locals enjoying food and drinks. My wife and I had a blast, with Stephanie and Kim bartending. Great local bar, with great folks. Pull up a barstool and enjoy.

I rode my bicycle from Penn Valley to the northern end of Pleasant Valley Rd. on a particularly hot day. It was a much later time than I prefer to ride in the summer months, but I needed the training. More than half of my water supply was consumed before reaching the end of the road, and I wouldn't have made the return trip without this neat diner. I stopped my bicycle under their front awning to take a break from the sun, considering whether I should enter and purchase a refill for my hydration pack or just call my wife and request a pickup. While I was deliberating, two motorcyclists parked at the front. They were riding from Colfax and stopped for the same reason as me, to temporarily escape from the sun's blistering heat and purchase some cold water. We sparked a good conversation and decided to enter the establishment together. I ordered a non-alcoholic beer (to quench the taste of electrolyte water from my mouth and gain some carbs) and ice water. The bartenders were very friendly, accommodating my request to refill my hydration pack and also offering to add some scoops of ice. I asked to pay for my bill, but the bartender informed me that my fellow two-wheelers had already taken care of my tab. I want to extend another "Thank you!" to Paul and Alan for the great conversation and the cold refreshments. I wouldn't have made the return trip on my bicycle had I not met you two and chosen to enter this great roadside diner. I highly recommend other cyclists and travelers in general check out Peterson's Corner.

Country music was playing in the background. We opted for a couple of burgers, with fries and onion rings. The burgers were tasty with all the fixings, the fries were hot and plentiful and the Onion rings were perfectly crispy. There are not of restaurant choices in the area. This one does have a pool table, pinball game, toy claw machine and a clean atmosphere. If you like a hometown bar feel with excellent service give this place a try.

Roadhouse .......poor service, friendly faces, coldbeer , comfort food and a jukebox. And the only show left in this holler! So go ahead find something better... I double dog dare you!

Friendly staff. Old school charm. Only negative is very small men's bathroom. But it can be overcome.

Fun times for the Ridge. Food is usually on point and there is a pool table, various games and a jukebox to kill time and create smiles.

Been around Peterson's off and on for 60 years. Their version of the Swiss mushroom burger, though spendy, is the best in the area by far. Would be nice if cig and blunt crowd did their thing farther from the front door.

I was here covering the Rices Fire for news, only had time to pull in the parking lot and map where I was going, but the smell from the parking lot was incredible. Definitely coming back with the wife for a day trip.

Food is just bar grub. But this place is a must visit. It goes off after dark. The people watching is absolutely unparalleled. The day bar tender is kind and helpful. She was on it!

Kept the kiddos busy while I got to enjoy some sports on the tv and drink a beer 😝

My home town dive bar. Love the place but mostly for the nostalgia, which is greatly diminished by the redesigned interior. Too bad.

Seemed like my wife and I were ignored. We waited about 10 mins after we were done eating to get our check... I had to go over to the bar to get it paid out. Food wasn't bad. The place in general was nice.

Terrible bartending service. Spilt a drink on accident. She still charged me $12 for a spilt Mai Tai, an didn't offer or make a new one.

S***** restaurant does not deserve a star bartender heart help provoke a fight I would never recommend it for anybody. Peterson corner can burn in hell

Dark, smelly, frightening, and one look at the clientelle on a Sunday afternoon I knew this place was not for me, so I left the place as soon as I entered. Televisions blarring sports (no food present) very loud, rowdy locals kinda bar. Not a place for dinner in Gold Country, unless the place totally transforms itself into a fine dining establishment for the evening hours (which I highly doubt).

Order the special pulled pork the waitress asked if we wanted cheese on it never heard of such a thing a pulled pork sandwich with cheese then when we got it finally it was so salty we couldn't even eat it the music was so loud it was hard to even hear the waitress and it was hard for her to hear our our order we weren't even acknowledge we had to sit down our self I found some in use on another table 5 or 10 minutes went by we finally got a drink the place sucks really to tell you the truth
