UPDATE: It’s been 3 years since my last review, so I wanted to update my experience. Fudenjuce has incredible food. Flavor wise, they have never disappointed me. I still think their menu is a little complicated, but boy am I always happy to have their food in front of me! It’s great for kids, groups, groups of kids, and solo too. I just heard they are opening a new location, and I am both proud of their success, and THRILLED to find them closer to home. I wish I could have added a photo of these amazing vegan tacos, but… I ate them too quickly! 😆 Old review: ⬇️ I like this place. The food is always good, and I respect that during last year's PSPS they remained open with generators. I like the outdoor seating, and though parking is limited, there has always been something available nearby. So why three stars? First of all, the food takes a very long time. Up to 30 minutes sometimes to get out 3 or 4 meals. I understand that they have limited kitchen space, and that they are frequently busy, but it's something to think about if you are short on time. (side note: Smoothies are usually pretty quick and ALWAYS delicious) The second thing I feel is worth noting is the intentional lack of customer service. I'm sure they have a repertoire with some of their (more) regular customers, but I have never felt like they were interested in my business or my repeat business at all. It's not just me either, because I've sat there waiting for food for 30 minutes watching the alarmed faces when they're met with stoicism instead of friendliness. I'm sure some of that is due to the unnecessarily large menu which probably induces many questions. And that brings me to my third issue with Fudenjuce - why is the menu *sort of* vegan? They put honey in some dressings, there is sour cream in some otherwise perfectly cruelty free foods, and you have to order vegan cheese or you get the congealed mammary kind. I wish to whittle down their menu to two distinct categories - vegan, and not vegan. It loses its appeal as "vegan friendly" when you have to self-assess what is edible within each dish. At the very least, stepping up the customer service so that they know how to make meals vegan would probably bring this review up to a 4. It would at least show they care. Also, Dairy-less Date Shake for the win!!

Best, healthiest food in Nevada County!

This place is a super favorite. I live nearby and it’s our go-to; we are so grateful for the high quality, delicious, reasonably priced food, the no fuss walk up window and cool people. The juices are the best I’ve had literally anywhere. The tacos are amazing and they use tortillas created at the shop next door. What a gem.

I'm definitely more of a Nevada City girl. As of late, I've been spending more time in this beautiful small city. I love the people. The vibe is good. There is more culture and overall welcoming atmosphere. So, I choose to spend my money in Nevada City. Let me just say that Fudenjuice is a little gem of a place. If you feel like having a tasty vegetarian meal, this would be your place to go. I'm so glad I discovered this little spot.

Adorable little shop! These guys are juice purveyors with plenty more to offer than merely just fresh-squeezed orange juice. Lots of healthy and satisfying options available!! They opened originally as Planet Juices & Java, for anyone who remembers that long ago. Since then, they've done well at holding their own. Highly recommended! Try their tropical flavors. ❤

For 6 years I have enjoyed the Greek Bowl. $7. Brown rice, artichokes, feta, spinach, etc. I eat outside, w/ my dog, and watch Nevada City roll by.

So good! Ate here twice on our two night stay in town. Had a few different juices, the crunchy vegan salad and the Benevolent BLT. Friendly crew too! We’ll be back for sure🖤

Great vegan place in Nevada City! See my receipt as always. Fudenjuice has been around a long time and definitely a locals spot for people wanting a Vegan meal. They have outdoor seating along with more covered seating up the steps. Parking is going to be on the street when they get busy. They open at 8am weekdays. I ordered the mexican wrap with beans and rice and sour cream. HUGE! A bit pricey but its big enough to share and comes with a small salad with carrots and their green house dressing. All organic and delicious! I also got the Strawberry Fields smoothie..yummy with frozen bananas and strawberries. Since it was a to go order i also got an Americano coffee. Vibe is totally chill with friendly people placing orders. They can get really busy and a bit slow on the orders so just be aware of that. Great fresh wrap and a delicious smoothie! Glad they are still around making healthy food! Ps. Its a small place so don't miss it..next to the Ham Stand.

What a great place! We had all vegan food, and all were absolutely delicious! The staff are super friendly. The atmosphere was very fun. We ate in the covered outdoor area. It's definitely a must!! So much to choose from!

Three visits in two days. Yup, we’ve found a winner!! Pesto chik’n wrap was bomb although the meatless alternative tasted more like sausage and had that kind of consistency but was so good we ordered it two days in a row. The blt was great although could use more fak’n or have avocado? I removed the top slice because I could mostly just taste bread with it served the way it was. We also had the Asian wrap and went back for shakes. The ‘Bugs’ did not disappoint! It was bomb and recommended to us by the lady who runs Broad Street Inn - thank you, Julie! My hubs had the Tropical and it was refreshing too. Both large and very filling! The little side salad they give you with your wraps is not necessary. I tried to eat mine the first day but was too full but didn’t want to waste. I ordered the wrap the next day and told them to hold the lettuce and I’d just take the sauce to add a little extra punch on my wrap. Overall a great experience and wish we lived closer to come more often but Australia Is a bit too far so see you next year on our annual visit to NC. ❤️👌🏽

The options are crazy elaborate, but they will also make something custom according to your needs! I was waiting behind a Mom & young daughter who has many sensitivities.. they stood aside & looked thru all the zillions of options & finally the compassionate server said, just tell us what works for you & we'll make it happen! With a smile 😊 ! They also have many fun & healthy add ons, like hemp, protein powders, various fruits, even chocolate. Order at the window then some simple inside & patio seating. Vegan complete foods! Don’t go any further stop here immediately! Taste of wholesome foods that will foul your taste buds if your carnivorous, omnivore you wont be able to tell the difference! If your like me herbivore (100% vegan) your in luckiest because everything you choose that says Vegan it’s vegan! From the thousand island dressing, to the BLT, to kombucha locally grown and harvested, to the juiciest juices to the milkiest drinks your sure to find it here at friendliest people on earth. Don’t take my word for it let your taste buds decide!

I have never actually eaten here but the owners of this place are wonderful people. He saw a listing that my dog was lost and has gone way out his way to help look for him/post fliers ect. I know anytime I am in Nevada City I will be stopping here for lunch.

I have been haunting this location since its bare roots, when it was a trailer with a painted mural on the side which said "Planet Juices" in the 90s. That is why this spot, with its pleasant outdoor, sunroom -style ambiance and healthy menu, is one of my favorites. However, I really thought if anyone could make a green drink green, it would be them. Not so. Also, the food we ordered was so hot, I am unthrilled. If you stand on the curb you can watch the employees vape out the back door, which explains the long wait. My biggest complaint is, they have a habit of taking a tip without consent, by adding that onto your card charges and sticking the cash in the jar. I hope the business will continue to thrive, but I don't frequent this establishment so often, for this reason specifically, anymore.

When I opened the box it was almost like the food had been dropped a million times or thrown against the wall. I took it straight back to the counter and asked what happened and the boy working there said " it's messy like that because we ran out of brown rice and the white rice doesn't stick". I told him "it's unedible and it's on everything" and he said "yeah sorry about that" and then just walked off. I'd like to see the service improved so we can enjoy this local jewel for many more years.

Ordered the Asian wrap and they forgot to add any of the sauce that came with the order. Very flavorless. The medeterranian wrap was great because of the hummus otherwise would be dry with just a falafel. The smoothies were good. The order took longer than expected yet still was missing an item :( also fyi 3% credit card fee

Yesterday we ordered 2 soups and 2 sandwiches. Food ok. Wait time not ok as it took 30 minutes before we got our food. Smoothie orders were being doled out while we waited. Staff was not willing to initiate any apology until we complained. For these reasons I give it a 2 star.

25 minutes to make a so called smoothy that was a tasteless little bit of frozen juice with a whole lot of crushed ice. And when I expressed my frustration with the time, my drink was finally handed out with a generous helping of surliness. Won’t bother again.

Took 30+ mins to get a juice and an ice black coffee and I was second in line (and served before the woman in front of me). Wanted to love the place but it was clear the employees had no interest in serving their customers. The woman in front of me had to ask them to take our order after 10 mins of waiting at the window and the staff had seen us. Once she ordered, the girl who was taking orders and had just taken her order then decided to take another break to just chat and play with the other staff members before deciding to turn back around and take my order. After she finally took my order she still had the gall to ask for a tip. When the orders were finally done, they never called us to let us know whose order was ready while you could see we were all waiting in the heat so the juices had curdled by the time someone did call out the names. For close to $20 for a black coffee and a juice, and no service, I Would not return.

My milkshake tasted like lukewarm milk with a splash of coffee in it and it was supposed to be coffee and vanilla ice cream. Definitely the worst milkshake I’ve ever had in my life with the weight and horrible food. I would not recommend this place for food or drinks

They told me 25 min for my takeout order. It's now been over 40 and they still need more time. Very bad time management. But the food is good. Not worth waiting so long though
