By chance, we ended up at the Terrazza del Barbaresco...surely intrigued by the photos and reviews, we decided to take a day trip into the hills. Our first lunch outside in the sunshine, the food and wine absolutely satisfying, the owners welcoming and kind...what more could we ask for? We're eagerly awaiting the pool's inauguration. It's sure to be a real treat. Needless to say, the views are spectacular!!! We'll definitely be back!

My girlfriend and I went for dinner on Saturday! Friendliness at the highest levels, so much so that we were surprised by some negative reviews. Excellent food and generous portions, typical and seasonal dishes. We will definitely return in the summer for lunch to enjoy the enchanting view of the vineyards!

We had dinner there and were very pleasantly surprised by the place. The breathtaking view of the surrounding hills, the kindness and warm welcome of the owner, his wine recommendations, and a menu with reasonable prices (around €10 per dish) offering local cuisine with an original touch of herbs and aromatic plants (the borage ravioli were delicious!) all made for a wonderful evening! Looking for a traditional location away from the chaotic streets of Alba, overrun by truffle lovers and novices, we found this restaurant about 20 minutes away. Modest prices, excellent quality, and a home-like feeling. The owner, who served us personally, and his wife, who cooks excellently, run the business themselves. A la carte or tasting menu (3 appetizers, 1 first course, and 1 second course). There were 6 of us; we chose a mix of both and paired it with a local red wine. And by "local," I mean local, more specifically, from the vineyard surrounding the restaurant. I also enjoyed a magnificent panna cotta, and before paying, the owner offered us some sugared almonds dipped in pure alcohol and gave us advice on how to eat them. If you're in the Langhe, this place is highly recommended. It's worth a visit.

Struttura situata in una posizione dalla vista eccezionale sui vitigni circostanti, fa della semplicità il suo punto di forza. Menù ridotto nel numero di portate (4/5 per ogni antipasto, primo, secondo e dolce) che però è garanzia di buona qualità. Prezzo assolutamente nella media, da consigliare anche per la cordialità dei gestori.

The property is lovely, but its true value lies in the beautiful Barbaresco hills surrounding it. It recently changed ownership, and we encountered some small difficulties, but the new, very helpful manager was able to accommodate us, demonstrating a willingness to improve and a desire to enhance the property, which already has great potential. Given its proximity to Alba and its more than competitive prices, I recommend the Terrazza del Barbaresco to anyone looking to budget and experience a few days in the authentic Langhe, among rows of vines and hazelnut trees.

Posizionato sul versante di Neviglie che si affaccia verso le colline del Barbaresco (da qui il nome), la locanda è un posto tranquillo. La cucina è di buona qualità ma senza pretese, come lo è il servizio. Ci sono pietanze della tradizione ma non solo, un po' per tutti i gusti, anche per vegetariani. Il prezzo è contenuto: 25/35 euro. Decisamente limitata invece è la carta dei vini ma siamo in una locanda ed infatti io ho scelto la caraffa del vino sfuso.

This restaurant is located in a very beautiful area. Its name comes from its position, atop the Neive vineyards. The staff is friendly, helpful, and very fast. The establishment is completely pet-friendly and is the ideal place for those who want to bring their four-legged friend for lunch.

La Tertazza del Barbaredco is truly a place that surprises with its simplicity. A "toc" (piece, in Piedmontese) of a farmhouse amidst the Barbaresco vineyards of the Langa. Simple cuisine, with a few less-than-successful "inventions," but dishes are quality and delicious. The ingredients are good and in line with expectations, and the wine list is super short but has the right selections for a convivial meal. The value for money is overall fair, but for the view, even a little more would be welcome. In the spring and autumn months, there's the option of dining outside in the farmhouse's courtyard. The setting is simple: a plastic table and chairs (for outside) set up under plastic gazebos or umbrellas. The service probably needs updating: the waiters/waitresses are very friendly but not well-trained. So, if you're looking for a place for lunch, lost in one of the most beautiful places in the world, don't focus on form but on substance. This is the perfect place that can satisfy as much as a spa. Technical note: after your meal, you might want to take a stroll through the Langhe hills; well, don't take the paved road that leads uphill; it's private and well-guarded by the owners, who are keen to emphasize this fact. Just like in Monopoli, you naughty pedestrian :)

A rustic restaurant with traditional cuisine, nestled in the countryside. We booked outside, happy to enjoy the view, but unfortunately, upon arrival, we were seated in the back (from the photos, we thought there was only one front terrace). So, once we arrived, we were a little disappointed, as we couldn't enjoy the splendid view this place offers. Typical menu with several choices. The Tomino cheese was delicious, as were the gnocchi. The pasta and braised meat were good, I thought they'd be more flavorful. Super-fast service. Fair value for money!

Beautiful restaurant in a panoramic location on the hills near Alba. The menu features typical local dishes, delicious and beautifully presented. Also bookable through TheFork. Overnight stays are also available: comfortable and charming rooms are available. Friendly and cheerful staff. Fast service. Average prices.

A diner with high-end restaurant prices. Prices are absolutely too high for the service and food. €100 for two people with a 20% discount for eating on paper tablecloths. The waiter wanders around noisily and forgets to bring water after asking for it twice. The terrace is nonexistent, except in the name; you eat in a courtyard. The plinths are very hard and tasteless. The tables and chairs are plastic, like in bars. And after a subjective review, the owner's response, as you can see, was rude and only confirms what was said above.

non abbiamo nemmeno avuto l occasione di provare. prenotato tramite the fork per il giorno di Pasquetta, detto che saremo andati in 6 anziché in 5 e sono iniziati i problemi. hanno annullato la prenotazione ad un giorno dalla festa. tenendo conto della loro poca educazione nel rispondere ad un cliente in modo poco opportuno.m ma leggendo le altre recensioni dovevamo aspettarcelo.ovviamente le mail verranno sottoposte agli organi competenti.assolutamente sconsigliati

I had lunch with four friends. The service was poor, and the staff was surly and rude. We ordered taglierin with truffle (€22). They hadn't added salt to the cooking water (the owner later admitted the mistake). Instead of changing our plates, they brought us salt to add. Despite everything, and having paid for the entire plate, the lady returned to collect it and, in a mocking tone, insisted that we had eaten the entire plate. We were shocked. We won't be returning.

It's a shame I didn't read the reviews before booking this place, where rudeness reigns supreme. This is demonstrated by the owner's every response to the various criticisms raised in reviews that don't exceed 3 stars. My friends and I ate here, and we were served pasta with truffles (€22) with no salt in the cooking water. After the owner acknowledged the mistake, saying, "Indeed, the chef FORGOT to put salt in the cooking water," she didn't even offer to remake the dish. He just brought us salt, which we added to our dishes (out of desperation, since it was 3:00 and we had empty stomachs!) And when he began to realize we were clearly annoyed (especially when they didn't respond to his "So, is everything okay?" with a "Yes, fine"), he began to retract his story, saying that the pasta wasn't unsalted, but lightly salted, and that it had even been made on purpose because "the salt covers the flavor of the truffle" (whaaat??). My friend, by the way, has already reviewed the restaurant, and the polite owner's response was, "You ate everything like sows." ... and after that, are we the sows? Hats off to you for still being open.

A rustic, unpretentious restaurant, but prices aren't quite right. We ordered tagliolini with truffles for starters, but they lacked salt. Despite acknowledging the chef's mistake in forgetting to add salt to the cooking water, they didn't even offer to remake it. The only kindness was the complimentary coffee. Overall, a negative experience. We won't be returning.
