I am so glad we stopped by here on Sunday night! Has a full bar and lovely patio, i bet during the day this is the perfect spot for brunch and IG pics. I had a pineapple upside down frozen drink and it was so delicious. My boyfriend loved his chicken and waffles so much he said it was the best he has ever had. I tried shrimp and grits which was good except i didn't like the grits*. (being from the north and this being my first time the textures thrown me off, but if it was with rice i wouldve loved it!)
Had an amazing Saturday bachelorette brunch here. Bottomless mimosa was $12 and they just kept filling up our glass, which was great! I had the enchilada. I would say, it was the best enchilada I've had in a very long time. The jerked chicken, rice and beans were perfectly cooked and the tortilla was nice and crisp on the outside. All their dishes had a nice unique taste to it. If you are a social media influencer, go here and take plenty of pictures! The patio area was beautiful
This place was so good and service was amazing last night with Taylor that we came back the next day for lunch. Pic is of the crispy chicken BLT and Taste of New Orleans. Other pic is their old fashioned and Bloody Mary with infused vodka. Both of those dishes were amazing. We were lucky enough to have Taylor wait on us for lunch as well!
We are tourists that stumbled upon this place because it is down the street from our hotel. It became our go to place while visiting. Food is good, especially the gogo po boy. Their specialty drinks are yummy enough to have more than one. I recommend the strawberry shortcake dessert. Even though we didn't sit outside, I love that it has a great outdoor seating space. Service was prompt and friendly each time we went. The atmosphere is fun and quirky. This place is worth the stop and we are not going to get a chance to try all the things that sound good on the menu before we have to head home.
I never miss an opportunity to dine here when I'm in town because they have perfected frying food. Whether you prefer crunchy and flavorful fried chicken or seafood, your tastebuds will be satisfied here. Make sure you request some of their jalapeño ranch sauce on the side, it pairs well with anything they fry. The epic fries live up to the hype and easily surpassed my high expectations for tex mex dishes. It's an explosion of flavor! The base is crispy fries, buried under chorizo, queso blanco, red beans, pico de gallo, salsa verde, roasted corn, and jalapeño ranch. I've made my way through half the menu here and as long as you skip the salads, you'll be happy you ate here. This is a great place for large group dining or a solo kick back at the bar! During the warmer months I highly recommended an outdoor reservation. If you come without a reservation during the summer you'll be waiting, but the food and ambience are DEFINITELY worth the wait. Any other time of the year, there's no wait.
My sister and I were in town for Eras Tour and stopped in for brunch on Friday 10/25. Cindy (I’m fairly certain this was her name, if not it was very close) was our server and she was FANTASTIC! Super attentive and on top of things, also made some great suggestions on food choices. Speaking of the food, it was all to die for. Flamingo a go go will permanently be on my list of places to eat when I visit NOLA from here on out.
We had so much fun at Flamingo Go Go during TSWIFT weekend !! We were there Saturday night during the ERAS tour weekend and had a blast! The atmosphere was wonderful, drinks and staff were amazing (they even cooperated with our shenanigans)! They were all so sweet and catered to us! We sat outside and had the best time! We will be back as soon as we can 💗👏🏻🫶🏻 signed off~some swifties from Arkansas!
This place is a sight to see and must go visit! First, the place is HUGE. Indoor and outdoor seating. We sat outside. The music was loud enough where you could still have conversations with your table. Jordan was our server and she greeted us right away and asked for our drink order. Webbed she came back we were ready to order food. I got the shrimp po'boy with collard greens. My husband got chicken and waffles. The plate was too small for these waffles making them look HUGE. Nevertheless they were delicious and served with season potato wedges. My po'boy was filled with lots of shrimp and was super tasty. The collard greens were fantastic as well. My husband kept asking for bites. The atmosphere of this place is great for morning relaxation and calm beauty at night. The service is also fantastic. A bar inside and outside for your favorite tropical drinks.
First time in this evening, and we loved every bit of it. The gentleman who brought us to our table was a great host, and our server JoJo was amazing! They made the experience such a good one, and JoJo was a huge help in deciding what to try. The atmosphere is fun and a great spot for big or small groups!!! The outside courtyard is such a fun spot also! The food is the best I've had at a restaurant in a long time, and this is now our favorite spot! Can't wait to stop by next time we are in Nola!
Me and my wife drove by the place and decided to stop. So glad we did! The atmosphere, food and drinks were amazing! Highly recommend coming. The staff was extremely polite and friendly. Watched a few games on the TV and just enjoyed the atmosphere. Bottomless Mimosas and Margaretta's, cold draft beer and fishbowls! It's off the strip so it wasn't too crazy. We will definitely be returning when we come to town!
This was a night worth the two year wait. My best friend and I have been trying to get to Nola for two years, but pandemics and hurricanes kept getting in the way. Flamingo A-Go-Go was always a must try and Rick and his crew did not disappoint. Rick helped us get some amazing photos, he appreciated how excited we were to be there, and sent celebratory champagne to our table. Our server Cate was phenomenal. She truly made our night. The house recommended Shrimp A-Go-Go and Brussel sprouts were unbelievable. The frozen cocktails were perfect. The service was over the top amazing and we left with a long list of personal recommendations for Nola sights to see and places to check out. 10/10 stars for the flavorful food, friendly service, and fantastic atmosphere. You must stop by at least once if you visit Nola and you should be here every game night if you are local !!!
Loved the relaxed atmosphere of this cute spot! Short walk to the WW2 museum. The large outdoor courtyard was a pretty and relaxing getway. Large drink and food menu! They were wonderful checking on items for the food allergy. Did not have to wait for a table, and they did not rush us out. The servers were so nice!! We stopped on the way to the museum and the way back since it was so close and so nice.
We were looking for an outdoor patio that was out of the French Quarter craziness and this was perfect. It was laid back, relaxing with great service and food. SHOUT out to our waitress Don who was terrific! We had the shrimp tacos.. amazing flavors! They also came with black beans and rice and some of the best greens I have ever had. Everything was a great blend of Baja and creole southern.
The restaurant is much larger than it first appears. The dining room is rather good size, and then there is an outside patio out back, which is twice as large. The food was great. Chicken & waffles and Irish Coffee were all delicious. Very yummy. Service was okay and excellent at the same time. The server/food runner brought our food but forgot to bring the maple syrup and took a few minutes to return with a "necessary" item, but the someone else (kitchen staff ?) brought another piece of chicken without us saying anything because they didn't feel like we had received our proper portion.
This place was super busy, and the manager, Remy, took care of us from start to finish. The food was amazing, some of the best we had all weekend. It came out hot, fresh, and large portions. The blackened shrimp/chicken with jambalaya was superb! My husband's fried shrimp poboy was amazing and huge with garlic fries. They were the best. We had more food than we could eat. Remy was absolutely the best and runs a great place. It's definitely a loud, friendly vibe but holy cow, if you pass this up, you are losing out on a hidden jem. Our drinks were well worth the money as there was no lack of alcohol in them. We will be back!
After a long day of traveling and checking into the fantastic Higgins Hotel, my partner and I were craving something convenient, delicious, and not too far a trek. Flamingo A-Go-Go popped up as a mere 0.1 miles away with good reviews, so we decided to give it a shot – and boy, are we glad we did! We were truly pleasantly surprised by every aspect of our experience. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was inviting and lively, loved the music playing! But what truly stood out was the service. Our server, Trenecia, was an absolute gem. She was incredibly friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. Her suggestions were absolutely on point. She guided us through the menu with such enthusiasm, making it tough to choose because everything sounded so good! We started with her recommendations of the boudin balls and also got some hush puppies. They arrived piping hot and packed with flavor – the perfect start to our meal. For our main courses, I went with the Flamingo Shrimp Alfredo, and it was a creamy, flavorful dream with perfectly cooked shrimp. My husband opted for the Shrimp A-Go-Go PoBoy with onion rings, and he raved about the freshness of the shrimp and the delicious sauce. The onion rings were tasty, too. Everything tasted incredibly fresh and was absolutely delicious, clearly made with care. Even though we were getting full, Trenecia sweetly suggested we try the Kalauha Chocolate Mousse Cake for dessert, and we’re so glad we listened! It was the perfect decadent end to a fantastic meal – rich, smooth, and just sweet enough. We left feeling completely satisfied and already making plans to return. We're definitely coming back during our trip to try the redfish, which Trenecia also highly recommended. If you're staying near the Higgins Hotel or just looking for an amazing meal with incredible service in New Orleans, Flamingo A-Go-Go is an absolute must-visit!
I honestly can’t decide my favorite part. The food was amazing, the drinks were delightful, the atmosphere was top notch and the service was amazing. Shout out to our server Brittany who was so friendly and really made the experience next level. Genuinely might be the most fun dining experience I have ever had.
Me being Polish, and the name of this place, I had to at least stop for a drink! Pursued the menu, looked good, decent prices, & many specials. Looks like it would be fun & cozy in the evening. Drink was tasty, service was good, and it was also clean. Would definitely go back when I'm hungry (and thirsty)
Omg, BEST experience ever!! 🤍 Mariah was seriously the sweetest and so welcoming from the moment we walked in. My friend and I came in expecting the older menu, but she did an amazing job explaining all the new options and made everything so easy to understand. She even encouraged us to try new things, which we loved! Her energy and customer service were truly top tier and made the whole experience so fun. deffff will be back soon!!
I had such a great experience this was not my first time but different a different experience recently introduced a new menu, and I was excited to try something from it. I ordered the birria and rice and it was absolutely amazing. The flavor was so rich and seasoned perfectly, and everything tasted fresh and hot. You can tell they really put care into their food, and the new menu definitely did not disappoint. Our server, Mariah, was so nice and sweet. She kept checking on us to make sure we were good and didn’t need anything, which I really appreciated. She had such a positive vibe and we had really good conversations with her that made the whole experience even better. I was there with my friend and we both left happy, full, and already talking about coming back. I definitely recommend this place!
Man…..when I tell you the best jerk chicken tacos I’ve had!! My wife had the shrimp po boy “go go” style and my kids had the gumbo. Everything was good!! Nice chill atmosphere with tvs and games going. This looks like the spot for night time events that’s off the beaten path. Our server Britney recommended the “go go” style for my wife and the jerk chicken for me and she was ON POINT! We’ll be passing through in another couple weeks and I’ll be right back here ordering the same thing again. Got this spot saved on route!
I had the chicken BLT and holy cow it was like a chicken burger with the biggest chicken strips I've ever seen with the absolute best garlic fries. Our bartender was hilarious, attentive, and working her butt off (I'm so sorry that I never caught her name). Totally reasonable prices. There was an outdoor area that was very cute, but we did not sit in.
We were staying in the Warehouse District and desperately looking for something good, but slightly more affordable than the stuff right next to the hotels. Flamingo A Go Go to the rescue! Also turned out to be the BEST shrimp & grits I've ever eaten in my life - their take on it is top notch! The whole menu seemed delicious, we'll definitely go back! Service was good, our server was very friendly, we were seated quickly, and the vibe of the place seems pretty cool. Cocktails were spot-on as well! Will definitely be back next time we're in the area!
Patio was very nice and dog friendly, in fact they even have a couple options for your pupper on the menu! I loved the Taste of New Orleans entree so I didn't have to choose between gumbo, jambalaya, or red beans, since it was all three. The key lime pie was also delicious.
I was referred to this place for the fish, but When I got here everything on the menu sounded too good to pass up. We had the chicken parmesan bites, red beans and rice with chicken, oh and Bottomless mimosas. It was so good we got some to go for later! Alan J was our server/ bartender, and he did not disappoint, stellar service! Highly recommended this fine establishment.
The chef is a young black man I met while waiting for the bus. He helped me figure out where to go and how to get around. Truly a godsend. He's super skilled and has loads of experience in the kitchen. I wish him all the best in life ❤️
The service is great from the staff. Our ordered food were not ready for 3 out 7 people in our group. The staff offered us gumbo soup before they bring our orders. Each dish has a big portion of food. They are tasty and with southern style. We really enjoy it.
We took 2 trips to NOLA in 2 months and ate here both times. Both times our waitress and waiter were excellent. The food was REALLY good - tried the jambalaya, shrimp and grits, blackened redfish and hamburger. The garlic fries with the hamburger were heavenly! The shrimp and grits tasted a little different the first time I got it compared to the second, but both were good - no complaints. Clean, bright atmosphere. Second time we came was a Saturday afternoon and there was a younger crowd drinking what appeared to be unlimited mimosas. Didn't affect our meal at all, just noted in case anyone may be interested in drink specials. When we first showed up on Saturday afternoon, we were told up to 45 minute wait since we didn't have a reservation even though there were open tables. We waited maybe 5 minutes and service was good, so not sure why the hostess told us 45 minutes. Definitely recommend for the food and service!
Honestly it was overall a really nice place to eat! It came through when places nearby by got way too crowded (but of course that is how it is when you go to a conference). And the waitress was super friendly! The owner was too! I recommend the Flamingo Alfredo! It was creamy, seasoned well and the veggies were also flavorful in the dish! And overall it was a nice atmosphere. It was colorful and friendly!
I am a local and have avoided coming here becauae im not a fan of downtown restaurant chaos. With that said, Flamingo really has changed my view on coming into the craziness of it all. Bottomless--and i do mean bottomless mimosas--... enough said. The food was super awesome--shoutout to whoever is in thay kitchen. The swevice was great. While theu were super busy i appreciated seeing them all hustling and still making sure our table was good. I will be back and will definitely be recommendinf friends to come in and checkcyou guys out. Really awesome experience.
Omg when I mean this place was amazing it was amazing. The staff was so pleasant and had such bubbly attitudes and were so helpful with sharing their love for the food there. Get those chicken parm bites!! The restaurant itself was so clean and played great music options at not a loud volume. They have good deals and their food is priced around 15-20! We both got salads for around 17 but were large and with chicken! The manager was super helpful with a coupon we were provided as well! Absolutely so sad I don’t have this place where I’m from!
This place is so awesome! Absolutely incredible atmosphere, outside seating area, drinks, food, and prices! We love Chris so much he was absolutely incredible and did us so right with our large party and crazy BOMO requests! Anyone should go to Flamingo even to just meet Chris! :)
Our family recently dined here and had a great experience. It's decorated very festively for the holidays, all of our food was great, the service was quick, and our waitress was very attentive and friendly. My wife had the tour of New Orleans and I had the bronzed redfish with beans and rice and some of the best brussel sprouts I've ever had. We're from out of town, but we'd definitely come back the next time we come through.
Muy rico y hasta jalapeños (secos) nos consiguieron
Bebidas muy buenas, y las hamburguesas genial
Muy axojedos y comodo
Excelente
Street parking and off street parking is available all around the restuarant. Remember to feed the meter to avoid a ticket from 8am to 7 pm monday through Saturday. Today we had a reservation for 10 and service was spotty at best. Food service was not as good as a previous visit. There was a large gap between drink orders, appetizers, and our entrees delivered to our table. Servers were obviously shorthanded and we had to do a whole lot of hand waving to get drinks, eating utensils, napkins, condiments, etc. When the food came out, it was hot, and generally speaking pretty good. The sweet potato waffle fries were great. The turkey burger was moist and tasty. The burgers and parmesan garlic fries were good. Fries were on the salty side. The specialty drinks were good. The pineapple upside down cake was sweet and reminded you of the dessert. The frozen frose was a crowd pleaser. However, the Blue Drank featured in a fishbowl was not very strong and had a lot of ice for the $14 charge. More hype than 151 rum, pineapple rum and juices. Outside tables were available and umbrellas and fans provided shady comfort from the elements for those customers. Televisions were spread throughout the restaurant if you wanted to catch the Olympic trials. Our group tipped well and hope for better and consistent food service in the future. It was just nice to be out with friends enjoying laughs, a few drinks and a good meal.
Excellent service, amazing food with a great selection of NOLA favorites. We visited on cold evening so we didn't get to enjoy the courtyard seating. We'll definitely be back! We tried the jerk chicken tacos which were terrific, spicy and full of flavor, the red beans with the fried chicken was a hit as well, crispy and juicy.
Place was very nice, service was good, but music a little loud, but good for loud kids or talkers. Boudin Balls are awesome best dish of the meal. Fresh brewed tea and plenty of unique cocktails. Chicken and waffles and gouda gritd were very good as well as the all American breakfast sandwich and garlic fries. Juan was good and super pleasant to speak with.
I had heard very great things about this restaurant and had to try. Variety of dishes everyone will enjoy. Large portions, and lots of flavor. The atmosphere was bright and unique and the waitress we had was wonderful. She recommended all her favorite dishes. I ordered the flamingo Benedict with garlic fries. Lots of flavor. And if you're into a super sweet beverage the frozen pineapple upside down amaretto daiquiri was a hit. Would definitely return, overall great experience.
Don’t let the eclectic decor fool you, the Flaming A Go Go delivers flavorful foods at a great price. The indoor seating feels rather like an art gallery, and while it was raining today and the outdoor patio was not viable, it’s an equally laid back area chock full of a collection of the miscellaneous. I bet this place is hopping on the weekends! I chose the All American Breakfast Sandwich from the Brunch menu which was generously draped with delicious apple wood smoked bacon, so much so, I almost wished it had an extra, sunny side up egg. The whole wheat bread was really hearty and the cheddar cheese brought it together nicely although I regret not adding the guacamole for an extra $3. The side of grits were hot and nicely prepared, and the perfect pairing. The coffee was a hot, bold brew and complimented my meal as I had hoped while staying at the nearby Higgins Hotel. Staff are friendly, atmosphere is absolutely casual and worth a visit.
Very nice scenery for photos and great bottomless drinks options. The food wasn't the absolute best but definitely not the worst. The shrimp appetizer was good, the jerk chicken tacos failed to represent jerk chicken, the jambalaya was good and so was the red beans and rice. Staff is super friendly. Restaurant is affordable. I recommend and would go back myself.
Here for the Grinch brunch. Had to ask other servers for refills, water, etc. because our waiter was too busy with other tables. Also, we had a reservation but had to wait 20 minutes for a table. Food and atmosphere was good
On a non heat day it’s quite nice to sit outside. Service was a little slow in the beginning My food was good but my partner’s food looked like a kids sandwich he got for lunch . A Cuban. With deli meat. Drinks are a little sugury but still was nice to sit and enjoy company (when the weathers nice) - outdoor seating
5PM on a Thursday. Our waitress was Brittany and she was fantastic. Great menu and all the food we saw looked absolutely delicious. The onion soup was incredible and among the very best three I've ever had anywhere. The red beans were served with great hushpuppies; however, there were only two and they were itty-bitty teeny-tiny. Just enough to make you mad there weren't any more! If only two itty-bitty teeny-tiny ones are to be served then at least make them mediocre at best so a customer is glad there are only two itty-bitty teeny-tiny ones. That or serve a decent slab of cornbread for the hearty portion of red beans n rice. The beans had a good flavor and would be worth a long destination trip had they spent more time in the pot. The onion rings are a beer batter type and although I'm not a big fan of beer batter rings I did really enjoy these as they were nice and crispy as the good Lord intended onion rings to be. I definitely want to go back with a group and linger, enjoy a couple of their local beers or intriguing coctails, share some yummy choices of sandwiches and enjoy the huge and inviting outdoor seating area.
El sistema de reserva de mesa no es muy amigable pero el ambiente es muy agradable.
Bien
I’ve been thinking about their rating for a few days now, and what I should give them star-wise. I decided on 3/5 because of the lack of attentiveness to my group during our visit here. I’m trying to be fair since the waitress admitted that she has only been there for a month, but I’m not sure what the excuse was for the hostess. We felt ignored when we first walked in, the hostess took her sweet time to find us a table when there were more empty tables inside than not. She was distracted by another employee while sitting us and that took a few more minutes. Our waitress was seen sitting outside with other employees vaping and talking; which also led to extended wait times for our drinks, food, the check, etc. Again: they were not busy at all. The positives were that the food was amazing. We enjoyed the drinks, the appetizers, and the lunch dishes, too. We’ll most likely be back next time we visit NoLa, but we were quite disappointed with the overall service.
Visited during evening, outside was closed but no big deal. The inside have a nice atmosphere. Half of our party ordered food that later found out it was not available. Great prices though, drinks are the size oz of what it may cost. Tasty drinks though. Shrimp and grits were super fire! (Reaaaally good) have that Cajun kick to it. Thanks for experience.
First off, this place is super cute and has such a fun vibe! Not to mention the stunning courtyard in the CBD?! Adorable! The service was a little lackluster, but everyone has their days! I got the Aegean tuna salad which was fresh and had a great balance of flavors, my uncle and his husband on the other hand, didn’t luck out like me. The burger was extremely over cooked and lacked a lot of flavor and the chicken jambalaya was tasty, but dry as all get out. I might not go back for the entrees, but I would however stop in for a cocktail and DEFINITELY for the pepper jelly glazed Brussels!
Came here with a hungry appetite after a 5k run. Had great expectations because of the reviews. But left with somewhat hungry stomach. Yes, there was a mouse running through the ceiling. I get that we are in New Orleans. But I was just so surprised. The jerk taco was disappointing, with no jerk flavor and more of a medicinal herb taste. Overall, the food felt overpriced for the quality.
This place is so cute! I love the inside! They have a huge outdoor balcony where bands can come play as well. We ordered the pepperoni pizza or flatbread and it was okay. We had the “Blue Drank and some Froze’s and those were all good! But mostly sugar so we had to get an extra shot of vodka to put on top and mix it in. Service was great. We sat right at the bar. She always checked in on us.
Ordered on the restaurant’s official website as a guest and picked up in person. When I got back to my hotel and opened the bag, I found it was the wrong order. I returned to the restaurant and was given another bag, but one entrée was missing. I ended up spending about 30 minutes in the restaurant the second time. The waitress who handed me the replacement order already knew they were out of the entrée I ordered, but didn’t mention it until I asked about the missing dish. I also didn’t receive any utensils, even though I had opted for them when placing the online order. I was not notified in advance that the entrée was unavailable and was told they couldn’t issue a refund. They suggested canceling the order “in the app,” even though I didn’t use an app—I ordered directly through their official website as a guest. In the end, they substituted another dish that was about $7 cheaper, and the manager wasn’t interested in addressing the price difference or offering any compensation. The food itself was good, which is why I’m giving three stars. Unfortunately, the ordering process, communication, and customer service need significant improvement.
The vibes and service were great. The drinks were good. I had the seared Tuna Salad and Gouda grits. The grits didn't have any flavor and seemed like they may have been instant grits. The salad didn't have much of any flavor. I'd go back for the drinks and the patio.
So we went and the service is amazing, our server was great. Store itself was very clean and appeared well kept. But the reason why is have Two stars and not more is the food itself. I ordered the jerk chicken and you can tell it was from a bag. So we're the cocktails, chips, and fries. Nothing was house made and while that may not be necessarily bad for the prices it was.
I had high hopes for this spot, but unfortunately, it fell short in several areas. The jerk tacos and GoGo Shrimp appetizer were the only standout dishes—flavorful and well-prepared. However, if you're coming here for a full meal, be warned: the savory dishes were disappointing and lacked seasoning. Service was slow, with waitresses stretched thin, and the front greeter station was a mess—lots of staff, but no clear organization. Management was nowhere to be found, which only added to the chaos. Drinks were hit or miss—the margaritas were great, but everything else was weak and watery. To make matters worse, the restrooms were filthy and needed a serious deep clean and restock. The dining area wasn’t much better, with floors that could use a good sweep and mop. This place has potential, but it desperately needs better management, cleaner facilities, and a more consistent kitchen. Until then, it’s only worth stopping by for a margarita and some jerk tacos.
UGH...I have never taken the time to write a 'negative review ' so I'm gonna try to spin this as positively as possible. FOOD- great quality, not overpriced, served hot and flavorful. NO ISSUES. ATMOSPHERE- Great again. Outside space is truly amazing. PERFECT. SERVICE- Very friendly, we appreciated the southern hospitality and smiles! Herein lies the problem , unfortunately ...SERVICE WAS SLOW, SLOW, SLOW. Literally noone there when we arrived and the place was maybe 10% full as waited patiently for over 10 minutes to be acknowledged at the front. After standing there while employees walked passed, we thought maybe it was a 'seat ourselves' situation even though the sign stated it was not. Finally someone acknowledged us said they'd be back...10 minutes later they did. Very friendly. We waited over 25 minutes for drink orders (we finally got up and asked who our server was) and ordered everything then. Although our server was was friendly there was never a checkup on refills, if we needed anything...literally nothing. All in all this place is amazing....But I must let people know that you are on your own and must fend for yourself. The entire thing took over 2.5 HOURS we had 9 people and our bill was $250, which could have been way more but since it took so long and we never had the opportunity to order drinks and dessert....we were exhausted with all the waiting and left.
Didn’t have a great experience here. Walking through the restaurant to get to the patio seating, it reeked of vomit around the bar area. It was the Monday after Halloween Weekend so I can understand things get crazy, but definitely not appetizing when you’re about to eat lunch. Our server was very sweet, however do not eat here if you have any food allergies. We did inform our waitress that someone in our party had severe peanut and egg allergies. She was nice and went to check their allergen guide on what he could eat. We were sure to be very careful and asked her to check a couple of times since he could go into anaphylactic shock. He decided to order a grilled chicken Caesar salad and said to just throw whatever dressing on the side that was free of his allergens. The salad came out with ranch all over it and since ranch usually has eggs, we waited until our waitress came back 10 mins later to explain that ranch usually has eggs. She went back into the kitchen to check a 3rd time and came out saying “don’t eat that!!” She was apologetic, but if you do have allergies you have to be very vigilant eating here and I would recommend bringing an EpiPen, or just going somewhere where staff is better trained on common food allergens. Another thing to note was that the salad was initially served with 3 decent sized chicken breasts/cutlets and when we got the replacement it was shredded and there seemed to be less chicken. I did get the taste of New Orleans and wasn’t too thrilled about it. The bread was stale and the gumbo and beans weren’t all that good. The jambalaya was tasty. My boyfriend got the Jerk Chicken Tacos and those were actually super good.
I am really sad to leave this review. We visited today and both the hostess and waitress were absolutely fantastic and very sweet and attentive. This review does not reflect them in any way. Our service was fast and our waitress refilled our drinks and checked on us. Our food was good! The chips & queso were really yummy. The only reason why I am leaving a more negative review is because right after we paid and our waitress walked away, my husband saw a mouse crawling on the pipes near the ceiling. I am expecting and have been worrying all day if I could contract a food borne illness from a mouse/mouse feces potentially coming in contact with foods in the kitchen or at any point. It was near the TV in the dining area so it was across the restaurant from the kitchen. However, among reading reviews, almost all negative reviews mentioned mice or rats being in this restaurant. It appears the owners or management have had this brought to their attention before. I am very disappointed that I have to leave this review but I must warn others, especially pregnant women who already have to avoid consuming certain things and now may have to worry about contracting an illness that could harm them or their unborn child, like me. I understand things can happen, but it appears that the rodent issue has not been resolved in a timely manner according to reviews, and I sincerely wish I read them before going to this establishment. Again, service was great, but the rodent sighting was enough to overshadow it.
Beer was flat and not cold. Food was really yummy but I had to go find my own ketchup after serve gave me an empty one and disappeared m. Asked for napkins only to be given a few bev naps. Server was less than friendly.
We had a reservation, literally didn't mean much since they didn't even have a table ready. The food is nasty and there was even a hair in one of our party's meals (it was in her bacon). My waffle was falling apart and the chicken leaked grease, like peed grease. The garlic fries were alright but tasted very cheap, the cheese planks are not worth it and they gave no warning that the cheese would be liquid and I burned my hand. Bottomless drinks were fine but the frosé was great. Service was super slow and took an hour just to order and we were there for almost 2 & 1/2 to 3 hours total and it took over 30 min to get the check. Wouldn't ever go there again and it is so over priced. I also don't think it is as Instagramable as many tourist might find.
Was really excited to try this place, we sat down and I’m like 99.99% sure there is a mouse colony in the beams. we sat down and started ordering then we saw mice run out of a hole in the beam. Immediately cancelled our order. We told them about it and they said they would give us the manager and they never came. Still charged us full price for our drinks.
The experience was awful. My volleyball team had reservations for 8 pm. Some of us didn't receive our food or drinks. I didn't receive my food until 10:30 pm and the restaurant closes at 11 pm. A mom had to stop eating to retrieve our server who was yapping her mouth in the back. Her son's burger was completely pink in the middle and her daughter, my teammate, didn't receive her drink. My coach and another teammates burger was raw. I was one of the people who didn't receive her food in a timely matter, so I didn't leave a tip. My shrimp poboy was OK, but would've been better if we could've eaten our food in a timely matter. Some of us didn't receive refills, we weren't checked on until one girl, a white girl, came over and helped us. It was still slow, but she was way better than the brown girl who initiallytook our order and was talking in the back instead of checking to see if we had all of our food. I'll never eat there again. On our way out we saw a rat and a roach, and yes, they both lived there. I'm thankful I prayed over my good before I ate.
We had reservations for 5:30 we got there a little early (group of 4). The hostess sat us at a table for 8 people then moved us to a table for 4 because that was for another reservation. We sat there for 20 minutes and another table was sat near us and got their drinks and appetizers and we hadn’t even seen our waiter to take our order. We left and walked down the street to Magazine Pizza and didn’t regret the decision at all.
I had a very disappointing experience at this establishment. There were rats present inside, which is extremely concerning from a health and safety perspective. I also waited 30 minutes for my food, which is unacceptable given the circumstances. Additionally, the bartender was rude and unprofessional during my visit. Overall, the cleanliness and customer service did not meet basic standards. I would not recommend this place
One of the worst experiences I’ve had at a restaurant. We had to wait 50 minutes after getting seated just to get our water. They brought out food after waiting for an hour and we still had to ask multiple times for silverware. The food was cold and tasted like it’s been sitting out for hours. Our drinks came out after we were done eating, a total of an hour and a half after we ordered them.
Had reservations for Christmas Day . Had to wait to be seated, once seated we waited no one came after 40 minutes. Notice server laughing and taking pictures of customers. At this point we decided on leaving. Told others who was waiting outside Good Luck. Won’t be returning
Service was non existent with half of the drinks never delivered and the other half never refilled. They got half the orders wrong and had to fix them. The coffee machine was even broken. Disgraceful. Then to top it all off the food itself was unseasoned and flavorless. Like how do you manage to make chorizo bland? I didn't even know it's possible.
We walked in and were asked if we had a reservation. I said no. She said it's reservation only. So I asked if there were any reservations for now. She said yes and then proceeded to type on her computer. One would think to see if she could get me a reservation. After several minutes, she looked up at me and looked at me with a ton of attitude and no words whatsoever. I reiterated my question. Again she said yes there were reservations. So... walking her through what seemed like a very logical sequence of events asked if I could make one. She said I could but it wouldn't go through. Why waste my time? When I asked if there were reservations, just tell me no. Don't waste everyone's time. And if she thought I was asking if other people had reservations at that time...why? Why would I be interested in that. Let's sharpen our critical thinking, shall we?
We went Friday evening about six, there were 5 of us and we were told there would be about 15 minutes before a table was ready. Place was almost empty, two tables were occupied, We waited at the bar for more than 15 minutes no one came to tell us our table was ready. I had a beer and the wife had a frozen drink after that we left . I don’t know what the problem was but being from out of town probably won’t be back . Just wanted to let everyone know.
We had a horrible experience at this restaurant, and we went as a group of girls going for Saturday brunch. We are all 21+ and were able to get drinks at the bar, but when we tried to get food and order bottomless, we were told to wait 30+ minutes for a manager to come check ids. The manager grilled all of my party, asked women in the group for their weight as printed on their ID, and denied drinks if they answered incorrectly. We waited over 1.5 hours for our food, and the service was rude and made us feel very uncomfortable. Afterwards we were all denied drinks under the explanation that our identification was suspicious. We understood they were just doing their jobs, but the delivery was disrespectful, overbearing, and not professional or fair. We ended up just leaving because after we were denied any drinks, we still had to wait more than 30 minutes for food. We eventually left and got food elsewhere.
After waiting over an hour for food after being seated and having our orders taken, I was brought a half-cup of gumbo and charged as though it was a full portion. I was ready to let it go as my mistake/a misunderstanding of what the portion would be, but after being rushed to pay my portion of the check (the rest of my party had to wait another 15 min for the server to come back), our server confirmed that she'd never seen the kitchen send out a portion that small and that the gumbo usually came in a larger serving but that they'd just "run out of that size plate." She didn't mention it when bringing the portion out. When asked if she could comp a portion of my check after revealing that information, she said she couldn't, because "I'd already paid, so." She did eventually concede that she could bring me more gumbo, even though we were at that point getting up to leave, and that "it wouldn't take more than a minute." Given how long we'd spent waiting as compared to dining, none of us were keen to take that option. Despite leaving my table unattended for as long as humanly possible white still being called a server, she did make sure to hover over myself and all my party as we paid our checks to ensure we'd tip. To top it off, multiple of us felt bloated and ill after the meal. I can promise it wasn't because of the portion size. Absolutely awful experience.
The food was okay, just not a fan of the customer service. They seen me and my sisters sit down and waiters took there time to even come up to introduce themselves. The guy that sat us down came up and asked if someone had attended to us and we haven’t. Two waiters that were standing in front of us looked at us and walked away. The young lady that came up to us was nice and sweet but she did say something that did ruin my appetite. “ if me and my friends we would call the manager” then I asked she said something about we shouldn’t take it personally…… which I find odd cause I do take a personal.
If i could leave 0 stars i would. My wife and i walked in off the street looking for lunch before going to the WW2 museum. Asked if we could have a table outside and was told by the host ( wears glasses and had cornrows .. to which he kept scratching the entire time we were there .. then handling menues and table wear ) that the wait would be 5 minutes as they were short on staff. Ok NP so we waited at the bar. Inside there was 2 tables and 4 people at the bar. Later i counted 4 tables outside so the restaurant by no means was busy. Staff was the host a manager, bar tender and 3 servers. Shouldnt be anything they couldnt handle right? So after 5 minutes we were told by the host our indoor table was ready. We reminded him we requested the patio so the wait was extended to 10-15 minutes. My wife looked on OpenTable and managed to get a patio reservation for 5 minutes. When she approached the host he rolled his eyes .. made some comment under his breath and proceeded to sit us outside. Its worth noting that other guests were seated outside this whole time. Weither or not it was because of skin color or them being local we were circumvented more then once. Once we get outside we were sat at a dead table. For almost 30 minutes we sat while the 3 servers moved about the patio and never stopped at our table. After an hour of waiting i finally got the manager involved. I informed him of the goings-on .. which he did offer to make right but our concern was possible retaliation with our food so we left. Not a spot for tourists or a different skin color.
Too bad the service is terribly slow. Wonderful environment, cool menu, a good food, but the service makes it a very unfortunate experience. We were here for almost 3 hours waiting on food and checks and mistakes to be resolved. Very unhappy with the service if they got this fixed it would be a great spot.
Was so excited to come here after reading many reviews & ignored the poor ones which I should of paid more attention to. Didn't bother to make an online reservation as there was plenty of openings. Once we arrived was told there was no outdoor seating available yet the place was not busy. Told host it shows on Open Table there's plenty availability, would wait for outdoor seating & if need would go into app to make the reservation. Was told I didn't need to & it would be a 10min wait. After 15min we were again offered inside seating that we already declined & was still waiting for outdoor seating. At that time I went into Open Table app to make reservation for literally 5mins later outside. Once I showed host he sat us outside but in an area where there was no staff for service. During this time he sat 4 other groups outside & who were served. At that point 55min had past from when we walked in & decided to leave.
El lugar se ve sucio la atención mala y la comida horrible no lo recomiendo a nadie.
Muy mal
