Food came out fast, hot and very good.
Best food ever, fast service Delicious food , nice made to perfection 👌 😋
I came for the famous chicken sami. Not disappointed. Great price. Will go back.
Great food. Make sure to go during non peak hours for the best chicken
Food is delicious. Service is quick. Dining room is clean. Easy parking. Why aren't you here?
I love Popeyes. I give them 5 stars for their delicious Blackened Chicken Tenders with Blackened Ranch.
One and only Popeyes around here. The food has been on the overcooked side lately. Kind of sad since I love Popeyes Chicken
Very clean restaurant with friendly staff. I have been going to this restaurant for many years and it is still managed by the same gentleman who is an excellent manager.
its popeyes.....food is good....go online for deals
By far the best chain fried chicken. Love the mash potato and the gravy. Love the hot sauce as well.
The spicy chicken sandwich is BEST-IN-DA-BIZ. Their fries chicken is darn good too...👊💚👊
Excellent service and food and really nice people thanks for being there! 😄
The chicken is awesome. The mac and cheese is the only side that I like, that and the great biscuits.
The best mashed potatoes if ever had and the french fries are delicious everything here is good and the sweet tea is delicious
Love this place. .the butterflied shrimp are OUTSTANDING with their special cocktail sauce. .the staff is always there with a smile on their face ....ready to be of assistance the moment you walk into the door!
New Spicy Fish sandwich was almost as good as their Spicy Chicken. KFC's spicy chicken is a little more consistent on the chicken quality but Popeyes is close.
Fastest experience ever at Popeyes, they had my order out already before I even filled up my drink! Highly recommend.
The staff is fabulous! On this day, a woman was politely ask to put on a mask to protect the other customers. She did so without incident.
Well I had to try the Chicken Sandwich all the fuss was about and I have to say it was great. But that being said why go to battle to get food like that. Geez just order something else or give vh it a couple weeks then try it.
Super juicey fresh fried chicken with good sauces. This is complimented by a very nice staff and a clean place to eat. One of my favorite fried chicken places.
I love the staff and fast food fries chicken. I will never understand what they have bottles of their ingredients on display. It looks foolish and undone.
Cant go wrong with KFC the chicken and especially the sides they are a lot better than all other fast food burger places always get a great meal and they have great deals.
Clean store, fast service and good, hot food. Also, the gentleman who helped me (I believe his name was Armando) was one of the nicest people I've dealt with in a long time. An aside that really earns bonus love from me is that the soda fountain has soda water. I like diet soda but it's all just too sweet, so I cut it with soda water. Helps make it taste better without making it flat. Lots of restaurants, gas stations/ convenience stores don't have it available.
Hands down superior to comparable Chick-fil-A offerings. The classic chicken is expertly seasoned and the taste of clean oil is a pleasant after-note. The relatively larger fillet is dressed in a coarser breading, reminiscent of a well-prepared corn-flake crusted fried chicken. This location is never too busy when I'm in the mood, with friendly and attentive staff to boot. I'm a Pop-oholic for life!
It’s Popeyes. I go here every cheat day haha I love the chicken and this one in particular is very fast with their service. They even let you pick which pieces you want.
I literally walked in and out of the place in two mins! Ordered 2 spicy chicken sandwiches with a couple of biscuits and the order was ready incredibly fast. Amazing staff, and the place is all set up with the covid restriction guides.
Popeyes Chicken well guys I love it. I love there spicy chicken and their spicy mashpotato is to die for ..it's one of my favorite.. This place will make anyone's soul happy.. God bless
So much Better than many other Popeyes
Great deal, and both the spicy chicken as well as the regular chicken was delicious!
Great food and service! Always very clean.
Best place to eat whenever you're free from the kids 😂
This Popeyes location is the best fast food fried chicken I have ever had, not that I have been to another Popeyes location just yet. I usually order online and pick up and it’s been rather smooth. My favorite order is the family meal, sometimes with one side, sometimes 2. We are a family of five. And it’s important to know that the portion of food we got for the money we spent is a blessing in this economy. We actually usually have leftovers. The thing is the chicken is very flavorful for us. We like the spicy ones, it’s well marinated before frying and when we got them the skin was still crispy. I did notice some of the feedbacks have stated their fried chicken might be stale. I guess we have been lucky to have got the chicken when they were still fresh or maybe the store took note and had made effort to keep the chicken fresh. I haven’t tried their sandwiches so no comment on these. Over all my family and I are very pleased with the occasional guilty-pleasure of this fried chicken chain store location. I recommend this location to whoever enjoys real fried chicken at minimal cost.
Always great good. Food quality is very consistent and that matters to me the most. Every time very delicious and cooked perfectly
I rarely write reviews, but my recent experience at Popeyes absolutely deserves one. This place is nothing short of perfect. From the moment I walked in, I was welcomed by an incredibly friendly and professional team—each employee was kind, patient, and genuinely seemed to care about creating a great atmosphere. Now, let’s talk about the food. I’ve tried almost everything on the menu—classic fried chicken, spicy chicken, tenders, wraps, sandwiches, and my personal favorite: the boneless wings with a variety of sauces (you HAVE to try the Sweet Heat!). Everything was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. Their sandwiches and wraps are out of this world—crispy, juicy, and packed with flavor. I could honestly eat them every day. The restaurant itself is spotless—clean tables, well-maintained restrooms, and a cozy vibe. I also love that the location is in such a pleasant area. You can sit by the window, enjoy your meal, and relax while watching the world go by. Popeyes at this location sets the gold standard for fast food. Great food, exceptional service, and a welcoming atmosphere—I couldn’t ask for more. Highly, highly recommend!
This Popeyes totally exceeded my expectations! I usually don’t go for fast food, but this spot is on another level. The chicken was super crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside — just the way it should be. Their mashed potatoes and biscuits? Absolute comfort food. You can really taste the quality. The place was spotless — clean tables, no mess anywhere, and you can tell they take pride in keeping it that way. The staff were super friendly and made the whole experience smooth. I got my order in just a few minutes and everything was fresh and hot. And the best part? It’s super affordable. You get a ton of flavor without breaking the bank. Whether you’re grabbing a quick bite or stopping in with family, this place delivers. Definitely coming back — highly recommend it if you’re in the area and craving something delicious and fast!
The best Popeyes you’re going to get. I live an hour away and I come here instead anytime I’m close by. Very clean would recommend coming here if you like Popeyes.
Potatoes and gravy sooooo much better than KFC. What can I say, Popeye's Chicken is the shiznat!
Love it
Went in to try the wings. (Which were awesome). I ordered 2 flavors and will be back to try the others.
Love Popeyes Tuesday specials. Its a dollar per chicken piece. Also the cajun sides are delicious.
The chicken and service were good but the beans and rice side was heavenly. Smokey and perfectly cooked.
If my order was right I would have gave a higher rating
Cozy and clean place, there's usually not a long wait. Liked the food. Restroom is located outside.
Food great. Servers rude though. Lucky for them they have the 5$ box redeem them with 4 stars 😂
One of my fave places, but the last two times I purchased chicken it was dry.
Great! The chicken sandwich was excellent. Fast friendly staff.
Food was good, service was good as well,no drive thru and hardly any parking spaces available!!!
Fast service with a BAD ATTITUDE. food was very good It seemed like he was having a bad day. I finally got him to smile after I thanked him four times and said have a nice day. I have been to this location twice and got the BAD ATTITUDE both times. Anyways the food is always so good.
Clean dinning room. Good food. The only down side was they closed early and we were asked to leave at 9:02. We were 3/4 finished with dinner and had to pack up and finish at home.
Love the fried chicken, staff could work on a friendlier approach. We love the spicy chicken, com on guys make it extra spicy
Service kind, comida fine
The spicy chicken sandwich is my main focus of this review. It. Was. Good. I’m a regular at Chick Fil A, and this sandwich competes fairly. The bun is tasty and soft but not soggy. The chicken itself can be inconsistent at times in terms of thickness, but offers a great breading. The pickles are much thicker than their Chick Fil A counterpart making an unmistakable presence in the sandwich. Overall, I would recommend anyone to try Popeyes chicken sandwich.
Popeyes chicken is great albeit spicy. Main issue was ordering take out and watching people walk in without masks while I'm waiting. It felt unsafe. There's a delta variant out there people. You are not immune. At least the employees were wearing masks.
Got my food quickly. Even tho it was just a couple people working they were very efficient. And the employee kept the line moving so not many ppl piled up. The food was delicious and when it slowed down the employee took the time to clean the tables.
The food and service are always good. I gave them 4 stars instead of 5 because the drinks are still self-serve even during COVID-19 so I won't be ordering any drinks there for a while.
It is what it is. If you want fried chicken, this is it. The place needs a facelift. It's a but run down.
Lopsided chicken sandwich without lettuce or tomato. Over rated. I like wendys and chick filet more.
The food made my stomach hurt, but the customer service was good.
The best part of their chicken is the Louisiana Hot Sauce you can put on top.
Good, not great. Ordered spicy and got mild. $45-20 pieces seemed excessive even with the sides.
Not exactly the cleanest place (might be a little bit understaffed) and every time I went they still didn't have the chicken sandwich that has been advertised all over the internet.
Edible fast food fried chicken. The artificial smoke flavor and artificial spiciness-flavor of the rice and beans is amazing.
The sides were good, but the chicken tenders were not crispy and had no taste. Was not happy with this meal. I will try it again but not at this place.
For being a Saturday you would think that they were have more staff but it's unfortunate that management tries to save money by hiring one line cook and one register person. Food is typical Popeyes
I started going to Popeye's when their Tuesday special was 2 pieces for . 99¢. The pieces I received were not part of the special this time but were very small. I was very disappointed. I did try the new Mac and cheese. It was delicious. I have had several issues with Popeye's lately from not enough staffing, small Chicken pieces, being told I cannot order all dark meat there has to be the same amount of dark meat as there is white meat. I don't understand the shift in their business but I don't like it. If something doesn't change soon I'll be making somewhere else my go to place for fried chicken 🍗!
The spicey chicken was not seasoned; it tasted like crunchy bread...tasteless.
Shrimp was of fast food standard, even though the price sure wasn't. Bathroom had no to, no paper towels & was inconveniently located outside the place & around the corner.
I've been craving this spicy chicken for a while. What I got was definitely the spice, but it was mostly batter and the chicken was like jerky. Maybe just the location though.
Supposed to be open till 10pm, they were inside cleaning up at 6:50pm with a handwritten sign on door "CLOSED". We and four others customers were perplexed. What the heck? Bad business!
The chicken sandwich is crisper than Chick-fil-A, but a crispy, dry chicken breast in a bun isn't a good thing. I'll stick with Chick-fil-A. On the plus side, no low life thugs punching each other over this subpar fried chicken sandwich at this location.
The fries were great but everything else about this Popeyes felt questionable. I would recommend skipping Popeyes if this is the only option you have. Good chicken, but the place feels dirty and the employees are very grumpy
This Popeye’s pre- makes their chicken sandwich and puts them in the bag. Chicken coating is soft and mushy. If you special order a sandwich, they open the bag, pull the pickle off and put it back in the bag. Worst chicken sandwich I’ve had out three stores.
Kinda disappointed went approximately 4 pm. Chicken was a little dry.I also got a fish sandwich I got it fast and yes it was 🥶 cold. Not sure if I will be back.
I used to enjoy going to this restaurant, but the last 3 times I have been in, they have messed up the order. Once the cook in the back didn't get it right, and twice, the counter lady, who speaks basically no English, didn't enter it correctly, even AFTER I pointed out the order was wrong. The food is always good, but the service is bad. MAKE SURE TO CHECK YOUR ORDER BEFORE LEAVING THE COUNTER.
I ordered on line set a time for pick up they didn't follow my order time had been sitting and half the order was missing when I told the manager he said I should have picked it up sooner. WHAT THE HELL I scheduled a pertain time. Not the first time manger was Rude. No more Popeyes
The person taking the order was rude to everyone who came into the store. He was condescending to me and did the same to others who tried to place orders with him. I absolutely would not recommend this franchise.
Ok, it's Popeyes chicken, we all know it's good when it's right. The boneless crunchy but juicy chicken is great. The fries are great too when fresh and this location is normally serving up fresh food. Consistency for the win. Where they went wrong this last time... I ordered the family tenders meal for 4. It comes with 12 tenders 4sides (I picked fries). They used to also give biscuits but they changed the deal, no more dry hard hockey pucks... I let that slide because half the time they were inedible. But this last time.... Might be the last time I go to this location ordering this meal. Normally they put all the chicken in one box and all the fries and another box. Because we all know some of the chicken strips are rather small and anemic, they would often throw in a few extra pieces to make sure you can really feed four people. The same thing happened with the french fries you generally got more fries than four people could eat. Why are they now boxing up each portion separately. When I got home I had four little tiny boxes of chicken with exactly three pieces in each box. I got four tiny boxes of fries with exactly a regular size small fry in each box. I had enough boxes to play Minecraft or Legos. I don't like that they're using all this extra packaging which ends up in a landfill. I don't like that it appears they're counting the french fries instead of just being generous since they're already charging a ransom. I don't like them skimping on the extra couple of pieces of chicken I used to get because some pieces are smaller than average. It just looks like they're cutting costs (value) and raising prices. Looks like my family is going to be the next one to cut costs and that means cutting out Popeyes at least for a little while until they get their act together. I don't know if they just ran out of big boxes or if this is a new trend but I won't be going back to this location for a little while.
It was horrible I've eaten there several times in the past. Shrimp was tiny and fishey the chicken was cold and the employee was rude.
Walked up at 8:52 pm and doors were already locked. Guess they don't want customers so they can go home early.
I haven't had Popeye's in 20 years living in Oxnard. I went to the one in Weslake Village and I regret it. I ordered fish, but when I took a bit... It was like mashed potatoes inside the fry... And pricey too. Sorry, one star just because I have to.
Slippery floor, slow and lazy service, no restroom. Aren't you supposed to be a fast food chain?
Last few times I’ve eaten here it’s been really bad. It doesn’t even taste like a normal popeyes does! The service is really bad! Check out the reviews on yèlp about this location. This place went downhill!
Panfilo is so rude. Is always in a bad mood. Didn’t even answer my question when I asked “what kinds of sauces are there?” Instead he proceeded to rudely tell me “iS tHaT iT fOr tHe oRdER!?!?!?”
Unfortunately this is my first 1 star I have ever given. I came in and ordered a spicy chicken sandwich combo and I know I had walked into a fast food restaurant because the meal was in front of me within 30 seconds of my order. I unwrapped the sandwich and some of the bread was dark in color from the paper/metal bag it came in. A microwave accellerator? Anyway it was a little chewy and the grease that came out of the chicken made me believe it had been sitting in the heater for far too long. Since I had devoured the sandwich I asked how I had to order a fresh sandwich the next time. The guy looked at me and said the sandwich was fresh and then tried to act like he could not hear my additional questions, ignoring me? I like Popeyes but not this Westlake Village location!
Right off the bat, I don't recommend coming here for the chicken sandwich, the price and environment is not worth it. Where to start on this 2 star review? How about the beginning of this fateful trip. My party walks in, we wait in line, purchase a total of 5 sandwich's (they actually had them this time,) and sat down. My friend ordered separately and when he asked for sauces he was being charged 20 cents per sauce! I don't know if this was because of a limited amount or another reason, but on his receipt it showed an extra 20 cents for ranch (mediocre,) and sweet heat (terrible.) After we sit down, we got our sandwiches extremely fast and the table was pretty clean (hence 1 star.) However, the soda fountain had look liked it had not been services for a while, ice was so high on it people had to tilt their cups to get a drink. We enjoy our sandwiches extremely quickly so we could consume them while they were fresh and hot... right? Nope, instead they are lukewarm and I see that there are a pile of sandwiches just waiting on the back counter, not even directly under a heat lamp or anything. We get past the temperature of our food and look into what makes up a Popeye's sandwich, you have the bun, "chicken patty," pickles, and dollop of mayo. I quotation the "patty" because I don't believe you can actually call it that. 2 members of our group got lucky with a decent size patty, my other friend and I got what seemed to be comparable to a chicken strip on a total of 4/5 of the sandwiches. Most of the bites were bread for us and drier than the Sahara, but alas we can get to the good part, the pickles. I love pickles, especially pickle chips, could snack on those all day. However, on these sandwiches our pickles seemed to have been meeting the bread for a bit too long as our pickles "green" came off onto the bun. That was it for me, I finished the few bites it took and left, I wish I could have gotten a picture, but it only took like 3 or 4 bites to eat any of the sandwich with actual chicken in it. I feel bad to be so harsh, but it is something that must be known to any prospective customer. I mainly did harsh this one item, but I have come here before to order different items. In a different party of 4, we ordered items such as mac and cheese, corn, mashed potato, obviously chicken, and some drinks. To shorten this already extensive review, the drinks were very watery, and almost all the food had no hydration to it as if they had been under heat lamps for hours before we came. I believe this concludes my experience with this chain and I do not think I will come here in the future.
French fries is like a plastic, taste is not sweet. Biscuit’s saturated fat level is high Ranch sauce smells bad. One star is for chicken Customer service is negative
Never know what you're going to get at this location. Had a great sandwich last week, but then got a half raw sandwich with half the breading missing today. Not to mention nuggets that must have been cooked days ago. Good luck if you go here...
Way over priced. Its $12.75 for a 3 piece combo, you can get an entire family meal there for $19.99 its advertised on the front window. I know I wont be going back there to eat on my lunch breaks. You can go across the street to vons and get 12 pieces for $8.99. For $12.75 I could go to a restaurant, sit down and have a waitress serve me at a table, this is just fried chicken that sits under a heat lamp.
For some reason the person (I’m calling it like that because "HE" doesn’t have his name tag) in the afternoons is always in a bad mood and makes the visit to the restaurant awkward and the environment heavy. If he doesn’t like to attend people or provide customer service, why is he in a place like this for starters??
Spent $30 for cold, hard and dry food. Cashier charged me $2.99 for a strawberry tea when I ordered a $2.69 mango lemonade. I asked the manager why did they ring up the wrong drink and charge me more and he said “it’s just thirty cents!” Check your receipts if you come here. Horrible experience and dishonest workers.
If it was possible to give them 0 stars, I would! I normally enjoy going to the other Popeye's locations, but this one... worst customer experience I've had in a long time. We weren't greeted and harassed to order quickly when we weren't ready (there was no one else inside). Then when our order was ready, it was not announced, so our food was cold upon us receiving it (by asking). Then they refused to give us more than one (1) sauce??? for 2 people! They said it was extra, which is crazy because I've never had them charge me at the other Popeye's. All in all, I will not be returning to this location, and I hope they all get some customer training in the future. Also, the employees kept coming up to the front to get soda for themselves and then going back to drink it while they cooked lol but when I went to get water, I got yelled at and accused of stealing soda 🤣 Anyway, please spare yourself an experience like mine and visit the Popeye's in Oxnard instead! Love those guys!
The sign said no chicken sandwiches and a guy in front of me asked whether it was true because we noticed people were still getting sandwiches and the man behind the counter angrily said "That's what the sign said! Can't you read?!" I understand there was a line out the door and they were probably short staffed but if you're not cut out for that type of business, where you have to deal customers then quit. The food was disappointing as well, got half the amount of fried I should have and the sandwich was disgusting. The breads edges were tough and stale, the pickles were extremely hot and the chicken bland. Really disappointed with this restaurant I hope others aren't like this.
