Well-labeled vegan options and fresh bagels! I got the zaatar bagel with veggie tofu spread and it was incredible. The staff was very friendly and nice too.
Lovely breakfast place. Bright and clean. We ordered the Benedict and juevos ranchers. Both were fantastic! Dirty chai was wonderful. Just note that it does come unsweetened. Server was pleasant and perfectly attentive. Highly recommend and I will be a return customer.
I made a point to stop here after seeing it recommended by the Simon and Schuster tik tok account that was promoting the King Arthur bread book. Glad I did. The bagels are well made, tasty, nice crust. Way better than even the local bagel place I frequent. Bit heavy on the cream cheese, but better than light I guess!
I love those bagels. Fresh, super yummy. You can choose a Bajgel (different, wholegrain, onion, poppy) and then ....cheese or meat or fish. And i really truly like the cook banking them. You can watch all the process. And the atmosphere! Lady at the counter was sooo friendly and chatty. I felt very welcomed. Short waiting. Then you can seat there or just take away. Recommended.
After Absolute Bagels closed on the UWS, we sampled most of the bagels in NYC for a replacement. Bo's was the winner and we have never looked back. Some selections (e.g., black Russion, and everything) are better than Absolute and some of the best bagels you can get anywhere. They often run out of favorites on the weekend so plan in advance.
All their bagels are quite excellent. I recommend the za'atar, the plain, the garlic, and sometimes the black Russian. The bagels have medium density and are this better in sandwiches than in rip-and-dip. So from the sandwiches at least get cream cheese, tomato, cucumber, and capers (if you like each of those). I get different loxes based on my mood. If you just want bagel with cream cheese it's very good as well, I recommend scallion cream cheese.
I can't recommend this Harlem bagel shop enough! Everything about it was great, from the wonderful selection of tasty bagels to the amazing people who were so friendly and helpful. It's the perfect place to grab a bagel when you're in the neighborhood. It's nice to see there are still places in NYC where people are still so friendly.
Bo’s Bagels is a true gem in Harlem. We enjoyed a perfectly toasted everything bagel with scallion cream cheese and a flavorful za’atar bagel paired with sun-dried tomato cream cheese—both were delicious. The bagels were incredibly fresh, straight from the oven, with the ideal balance of chew and crispness. A must-visit spot for authentic, freshly made bagels with creative toppings.
This was the best bagel I’ve had in my life. It was so delicious that I ate it five days ago and I am still thinking about it. I’ll probably be thinking about it until the day I ascend into Heaven. And trust me, I’m going to make sure I get into Heaven, because I’m now convinced they serve Bo’s bagels there. I ordered “The Andrew”. This sandwich combines savory egg and sausage, perfectly crispy bacon, dreamy scallion cream cheese, and the perfect sweet kiss of Vermont maple syrup on a sesame bagel. Exquisite. Service was very quick at 10:30 in the morning!
Came here because of a recommendation, I was looking for a place to try real local bagels. Definitely did not disappoint. I ordered The Andrew as well as the bagel with avocado (forgot the name). I particularly liked The Andrew, the texture and flavours complemented each other very well. If I’m around will definitely pass by again!
BO’s Bagels was a brilliant find in NYC and it was so good we visited three times in four days. Alongside every possible bagel variety and combination of cream cheese toppings are a selection of warm, made to order bagels too such as cream cheese and lox, eggs and bacon, sausage etc. To the left hand side of the store is a section where you can purchase memorabilia, such as bagel toppings, t-shirts and tote bags. There is a clean and modern dining area in store as well as the option to take out. A huge selection of cold drinks are available in the refrigerators to the left of the store and collection station is to the right. Would highly recommend. Some people had ordered ahead of arrival which did speed up their ordering process.

Za’atar bagel was insanely good with turkey bacon, an egg, and muenster. The spices in the bagel itself were amazing. Wish the egg had been fluffier but that’s personal preference. Service was great too, everyone was so nice. Would come back!
Toasted poppy seed with butter! That should be a standard combo, no? Anyway, I praise Bo's for being one of the few if not the only place in the UWS making their bagels fresh eryday. Even though they're diet sized, they're quite yummy. One day though, they had the dog situation going on inside which I know is a thing these days in the city but pets should be outside of restaurants and proprietors should remind customers that it's verboten.
Very solid and unique bagel in NYC. Bagels are smaller and not hot, but have a nice crust and decent density and chew. Covering on the everything bagel was good and double sided, though they lean heavier on the garlic and sesame seeds. I had the Andrew without sausage and added cheese. Good amount of egg, lacking a little bacon and needed something additional flavor wise. My boyfriend had the salmon with the works which was fresh and flavorful. Standout was surprisingly the pumpernickel cranberry bagel with maple walnut cream cheese. Flavors mixed really nicely together and the chunks of cranberry in the pumpernickel were a unique twist. Overall, I would definitely return if I was in the area but I’m still a Tompkins Square Bagel girl.

Bagels are fine, service when I went was really bad. We tried to order the special that day, after we paid they told us they were out of the wasabi cream cheese, and it was a whole mess of a negotiation to fix the order, I'm pretty sure it took us 20 min or so after paying to actually end up with our food. Offered to replace it with regular cc and charge us the same, obviously not the point if you're gonna order a $18 fancy bagel sandwich or whatever it is. Not life changing and not worth the hassle
Overall I think the bagels were just not as good despite being made fresh, most other bagel shops have better, bigger, and chewier bagels. This one is much smaller and bready, and personally (I tried the cinnamon raisin which is my go to) I think the bagel had an odd salty aftertaste I didnt like. They weren't bad! but the just didn't feel very nyc which is my preference.

I had one of the worst bagel experiences of my life here. I came in specifically because I read that they offer gluten-free bagels. When I asked about it, the staff told me they had “gluten-free biscuits,” which they claimed were basically the same thing as bagels – just without the hole. Totally makes sense, right? Anyway, I tried to give it a chance and ordered one with cream cheese and smoked salmon. It wasn’t warm, the texture was awful – so dense and crumbly that it fell apart immediately – and it tasted nothing like a bagel. It was honestly inedible. On top of that, the place didn’t smell fresh at all. Overall, a really unpleasant experience. Won’t ever be coming back.
Staff was friendly and busting their ass. With that being said, waiting 40 minutes for a bagel with cream cheese is neither normal nor acceptable. Additionally, the bagel is truly subpar. It's not a traditional bagel. It's akin to the bagels you get at Starbucks or dunkin, not chewy or doughy just bready. Why are you paying 10-12 dollars for a breakfast sandwich that you can get a better version of at a local bodega? Absolutely ludicrous. Don't waste your time, energy or money. Your local bodega does it just as good or better. I try not to post negative reviews unless it's truly awful. This bagel is NOT worth the trip, the energy, or the money. Sincerely, a native New Yorker.
