On our first trip to New York, we found this place near by where we stayed. We loved it so much that we visited twice. My family and I love food and we’re always trying to find great places to eat, this is one of those restaurants that whatever on menu is GREAT. Crepes are delicious, are not extremely sweet so you can really enjoy the whole crepe. Omelets are big plates that you can share with another person. On our way to the airport we stopped by this restaurant not sure if they will aloud us with luggage, but they did. We had 3 big luggage and about 4 carry on, everything fitted perfect inside this restaurant without obstructing any path. Delicious food and great service.
This place is so great! The food is phenomenal and our server (I'm assuming he's the owner) was so friendly. It seems like he might be the only server working so just be prepared for a bit of a wait if you go during a busy time. I didn't mind waiting at all since the food and quality of service make it completely worth it. Highly recommend!
This is me and my husband absolute favorite breakfast spot, the crepes are on point! The owner is so nice! And he just opened up a ice cream/gelato place a couple stores down that is also delicious, I highly recommend, we go every month on our breakfast date downtown! The cafe con leche is such a simple coffee but it amazing here!
One of the best breakfast I ate during my vacation in New York. All were delicious! I loved pancakes with bacon and maple syrup so much that I could be fed each time of the day with that plate! Also the coffee was nice too! Not expensive offering great quality and quantity!
Steve is a wonderful owner/operator of this great cafe! Warm, inviting, always quick with a kind word. And the Crepes are phenomenal. Great selection and the French Toast dish is a close, close 2nd to the crepes. Beautiful atmosphere that will have you sitting, sipping your coffee, enjoying the day. Not to be missed.
This is our son’s favorite restaurant and mine too! They serve delicious crepes and breakfast options. The owner is extremely friendly and helpful. We will return here often!
Great venue and super friendly staff. The food is always amazing and they give generous servings. Definitely great for brunch!
Thank you Steve for a wonderful breakfast (best pancakes ever). The meal was delicious, the atmosphere was great and you gave us very good advice about sightseeing in the Village.
First impression was that the waitress could have been more friendly, but that being said the food was fantastic. I wasn’t sure what to order so I went with a basic breakfast sandwich, a ham & cheese on a baguette. To be honest I wasn’t expecting much because my wife had said the crepes were good, and I didn’t expect both the crepes and the sandwiches to be good. Last time I was at a place where the crepes and baguettes were good was France, so I prepared for the worst. My son got a Cuban sandwich, wife’s bacon egg & cheese, and my other son got the chocolate crepes. I have to say that this ham sandwich was better than I’ve had in this country. They use actual spiral cut baked ham NOT deli sliced. The Cuban my son got was the same! They had actual roast pork and spiral cut ham! You don’t see that even in Florida (Tampa or Miami). The baguette they must have imported the baker from France because the last time I had bread that good it was there. I know the crepes must have been good because my son ate the whole thing and he never eats the whole thing. So if you want crepes come on by, but I’d you want an authentic Cuban like they make in Puerto Rico or Cuba this is the place!
The food is amazing, but the crew is even better💛
A classic. The usual good stuff. Pancakes big and fluffy. Baguette from heaven. The rare outstanding drip coffee. Lots of bacon. Tasty eggs. Today the maple syrup was special. We even took some of the baguette for home!! And the prices are excellent! ......... The usual excellent crepes and pancakes and more. Hope they are open forever. New owners?
The sandwiches were delicious. This was my first Croque Madame and there was so much cheese on the bread, I still dream about it. My partner got the egg and bacon on a croissant which turned out to be an open-faced sandwich, also with a ton of cheese. The steak on the the steak and eggs was too done. Still, the sandwiches are absolutely worth returning for. The whole shop is very cute but a bit crowded.
We loved it here! Such a friendly waiter and all-around experience. Our server didn't rush us like the rest of NYC seemed to. I had a craving for a nice cappuccino, and that's exactly what I ordered (pictured here). Since the restaurant is called CREPES on Columbus, my partner ordered a tiger shrimp, spinach, and basil creme crepe, which I enjoyed more than my own avocado, salmon, and spinach crepe although they were both amazing. I would definitely return here if I am in the area again; I respect their commitment to high-quality natural foods.
Great food with fantastic service. I had the steak and eggs with potatoes. I haven't had grass fed beef that tender and well-cooked in a long, long time. My daughter loves the Nutella and strawberry crepes. Highly recommended.
Our favorite neighborhood breakfast spot. Steve the owner is great, food is delicious, prices are good, place is clean. We've had the sweet crepes, French toast, omelettes, and I think one of the bagels and pancakes at some point too - all good. I noticed during our last visit that they've got Pepsi instead of coke, so I'm kinda holding out hope they may have Dr Pepper - will check next time!
Owner was short handed so he waited on us himself. He is a delightful human being. Smiles a lot. We ordered, and the food came, piping hot, fresh, tasty! The French toast is the best I have ever had. Scrambled eggs and bacon were full of flavor. The eggs were not watery like at so many diners. My daughter had Nutella/strawberry/banana crepe and she said it was delicious! My other daughter, a native New Yorker, says she's been going there since 2009, so she obviously likes it. The coffee was really good also. I just cannot say enough nice things. It deserves a thousand five star ratings.
Excellent service and attention to detail. I had an avocado, goat cheese, and sausage crepe. It was delicious and so filling. The owner also comes around to greet everyone and offers free coffee (after your intial purchase). I'm full and happy. I definitely plan on coming back ;)
I absolutely LOVE this place ❤️ not only is the food fantastic and delicious but the service is pleasant and everyone makes you feel comfortable and welcome. I had a sweet crepe this time that was decadent and delicious of Belgium dark chocolate, strawberries and caramel 😋 along with their fabulous coffee I was in heaven. I'll be looking forward to my next visit.
Was in town from Toronto and decided to stop here to have breakfast with my wife. The customer service was incredible and the food was delicious . I had the crepes with apples, strawberry and cinnamon, it was awesome. My wife had the salmon bagel and she loved it. If you're looking for a local, homey breakfast spot, this is the place to go!
Calm and quiet place. There food is really good. The staff are friendly and fast to provide service.
I was looking for a breakfast spot during the weekday on my day off and ran across this spot. Crepes on Columbus is a nice intimate venue with delicious breakfast. It's not super fancy but the omelettes and crepes are good. The places wasn't too busy so I was able to catch up with a buddy.
Excellent, fresh, simple food at a fraction of the cost of most local places. No nonsense no frills no suit jacket required. Just casual quality with a smile. Will become a local staple of my family.
I love the dumplings/momos available in the evening- they were super fresh and flavorful, the dough on the dumplings was also really delicate. This was even better than the momos I had in Jackson Heights.
Crepes are delicious, owner is very welcoming price is good for student budget
Felt crêpeish this morning. Visiting the park, found this amazing crêpe spot I had strawberry banana with crème fraîche it was amazing warming light fluffy, and the layers were so thin. Great way to start my day. Thank you. Bousa. Cappuccino was perfect.
Perfect little local spot! I had a savory crepe and a caramel latte- both of which were just right. The owner and server were very friendly.
I came here by myself one morning, just looking for a quick and inexpensive breakfast. I got the butter and sugar crepe with blueberries. Loved it! It was my second time trying crepes: it was delicious! (The pictures doesn’t do justice to it’s size) Filling, but it didn’t feel heavy. Flavorful! Satisfying. I also got hot chocolate that didn’t come steaming hot, so I was able to drink it as it arrived. The waiter was such a sweetheart and very attentive. I highly recommend for breakfast.
Best omelette I've had in a long time. The eggs were moist, very good texture. It come with roasted potatoes and salad. Again, I really enjoyed the flavour of the side. My boyfriend ask for the stake and eggs. Again, he enjoyed it a lot. We couldn't leave with give s try to the famous crepes. White chocolate, Nutella and fresh pineapple. Awesome. The size ofs the plates worth the price. Not very expensive though. The man on charge was very friendly. We definitely recommend this place.
Nayely was so friendly as soon as I walked in! I really enjoyed getting some work done in a positive environment with my crepe and coffee :)
Tris is one of Harlem's treasures. We've been coming here for the last ten years. Casual, not pretentious, good service, excellent crêpes! And there's more than crêpes on the menu. We had crêpes with home caramel, apples, and crème fraiche; and blueberry pancakes with eggs and bacon. Delicious.
Been a local shop for years and always serving interesting dishes. I remember them teaching me what a crepe even was when I was a dumb kid. Good hearted people who run an honest business. Definitely worth checking out.
I grew up in Manhattan, lived all around the island including only two blocks from this place, and have lived all around the world. I’ve made myself, friends, and family a lot of crepes from scratch since learning how to in French class in prep school, and I’ve eaten crepes in dozens of cities but nothing, NOTHING compares to Crepes on Columbus. I miss a lot about living in Manhattan and Morningside but when it comes to one restaurant out of the thousands I’ve been to, there’s nothing I miss more than Crepes on Columbus. It’s that good.
All the way back in 2008, I used to live nearby Crepes on Columbus and enjoy occasionally getting the avocado-bacon crepe. I randomly thought of how good it tasted today in 2025. I can't remember many other times I've reflected on food I got 17 years ago. 5 stars!
Great food and ambience! I was looking for a place that was delicious and quaint with awesome mucaic playing in the background and this is exactly what I found. I had a wonderful breakfast crepe with spinach scrambled egg and goat cheese along with an iced caramel latte, yum! My server was very nice and made my experience pleasant. I truly recommend this restaurant
Awesome restaurant and super class manager with high skills on communication and costumer service. As a diplomat I like calm and clean space. This restaurant is so far the best you can find in NYC following these both criterias and beyond. I spend quality of time with my fiancee surprising her with these yummy foods from Crepes on Columbus. She liked it 💎 and want us to back again. Thank you COC for your amazing service.
Small place with excellent crepe selections! Their staff is super nice and their crepes are sooooo stuffed with choices! We made our own, I got crème fraîche, strawberries, and dark chocolate. Boyfriend got turkey, Swiss and egg! His came with potatoes. And to our surprise the turkey was actual roast turkey! So good.
A great hidden gem on Columbus with the most friendly owner and delicious crepes. The outdoor seating is quite spaced out, and it's a calming view. The food itself was superb. The crepe was perfectly flavored, and the texture of caramelized onions, mushroom, and the slightly sweet goat cheese was the perfect combination. Definitely coming back again, the price is quite reasonable!
Crepes on Columbus is a really great place to go when you want to have a delicious brunch. They make really good crepes, offering sweet but also savoury ones. We went there on a Sunday around 12:30 PM. We don't had to wait to get a table. They offered indoor and outdoor dining. The service was all the time great, we didn't wait long to get our delicious food. The prices for a crepe are from 8 - 16 $ which is fair. I can highly recommend to visit, if you like to have a delicious crepe.
A lovely little crepes place near the American Museum of Natural History. If you'd like food not from a truck, then this is a good choice to visit. They serve both savory and sweet crepes. We ordered two savory crepes as snacks and were pleasantly surprised by the quality and taste. Would definitely visit again.
Really cute charming restaurant seems like a tight family ran establishment. It was very nice and great service and the best dish we ordered was the French toast and they have a wide range of options downside was that seating was limited and no air-conditioning but other than that is definitely worth a visit especially if you’re stopping by
Been there a couple of times, both times for dinner without many people in restaurant. Both times was happy with the food, but come prepared to wait a LONG time. Even without more than two other tables in the restaurant with customers, we waited a little less than an hour after ordering for our food. With desert, dinner took 2 hours. They had a big delivery business, not many crepe pans, and a huge back-up. But this is a great place as long as you're willing to wait.
We came here bc of the reviews and pictures. When we arrived, there are plenty of tables open. It took our server 20 minutes to get water for us. She came back 15 min later for drinks. As we waited, we wetnesses their lack of service. They were making customer orders per table at a time. Our food came out 1.5 hrs later. The food tasted slightly fresh but lacked flavor. We probably would never come back or recommend it. Their service is just too slow!
First impression: Last time I was here, it was probably about 10 years ago, and it was absolutely amazing. The customer service was on point, and the ambiance was exactly what I expected. It felt cozy. The food was absolutely incredible. I had at that time strawberries with some peach on a crêpe, and it was awesome. My son had a savory ham and cheese crêpe, and it tasted great. This time around, I came with my daughter and my sister-in-law. We had Nutella crêpes with strawberry and also one with strawberry and banana, and they tasted amazing. However, I have to add that the customer service was not top-notch as it was before. Very negative at the beginning, first impressions. I would’ve left with the greeting that we received; the tone we were greeted in was not pleasant, and we were shooed away outside. Second impression, the same. My sister-in-law had a wobbly table, and her drink fell. I went inside to get paper towels, and when I told them about the incident, their response was less than satisfactory. Their remark, "Oh, you made a mess?" came across as dismissive and unprofessional. I answered, "Well, yes, on your wobbly table." If it wasn't for my daughter needing or wanting food, we would have left. In addition, the waiter behind the counter seemed very angry and didn't seem to like what they were doing. It made us feel as though our presence and satisfaction weren't important to them. We felt uncomfortable and unwelcome. On a positive note, our food waiter was very nice and attentive. He greeted us nicely and provided great service. If it weren't for the unpleasant experience with the others, we would have had a great time. However, considering the overall experience, I won't be returning to Crepes on Columbus. It's a shame because the crêpes themselves were exceptional in taste and quality. But the combination of the unwelcoming attitude, dismissive response to the spill, and the lack of attention from certain staff members has left a lasting negative impression. I sincerely hope that the management takes these concerns seriously and works on improving the customer service aspect to match the outstanding food they serve.
We ordered strawberry crepes, banana strawberry smoothie and chocolate milk. The crepe itself was done just right. The filling, however, came right out of a store bought jar of strawberry jam (we could see it from where we sat). My daughters chocolate milk was mixed with a tiny bit of chocolate sauce. But the service was very nice. Seating is for about 25-30 max.
