The food was amazing. I dropped by to try it using one of the apps. I've traveled in India, have been eating Indian since I was a kid, and have even gotten pretty good at cooking some dishes myself. I have to say that this a delicious and authentic place with very friendly staff, so very similar to the places I used to love while traveling. The portions are generous and the food very filling. Not too spicy for an unexperienced palate. Perfect for the summer for those who know that a bit of spice in the heat actually cools you down. Thank you.

This is one of my go to restaurants for Indian food. The staff is so nice, the food is so good, and it just reminds me of my mother-in-law‘s Indian home cooking. Made with all the love and Greece that you can possibly think of. Very good would recommend for everyone.

Food and services were fantastic. Taste was very rich. I was surprised to have such a triditional Restaurant in New York. So I strongly recommend to visit curry king once, sure you will find it amazing.

After walking by this place forever, I finally decided to pick up lunch. The meal was incredible. The flavors exquisite. I’ve had a lot of naan bread, and theirs was by far the fluffiest, most delicious I’ve ever had. I foolishly got the plain instead of garlic, so I’ll have to be back to try it with garlic. The people working there offered me tea and it had such a rich flavor. The place was super legit and priced pretty good too. I’ll have to go back and try everything!!

Honestly, Curry King is one of the best restaurants in Manhattan. At first, I was curious about the food they serve, as I had never before tasted international food from countries like Pakistan and Bangladesh, although I am familiar with Indian food, which tastes delicious, of course. When I tried the food at Curry King - OH my God! Absolutely amazing! I love this food!!! I am extremely meticulous and careful about what foods I consume, as I care about my health. The food at Curry King moves very fast. It is clean, fresh, healthy, and super delicious. It is not too hot even though it's spicy. They are nice responsible persons working at the restaurant. I highly recommend Curry King and give it 5 out of 5 stars. The food is colorful and well cooked daily. I am confident about eating there because I know the food is fresh. They even have a large variety of dishes to choose from. Although the place is small, I've noticed that many customers eat there, including NYC residents, taxi drivers, students, and tourists. Many customers, including myself, like to order takeout. I love the additional pita bread that is included with the meal. The prices are fair judging by today's food quality standards and inflationary economy as well as the actual quality and size of the meal. They give you a decent amount of food that fills your stomach. It's definitely worth it. Expect to pay an average of about $12 to $15 per meal. Sometimes, when I enter Curry King, my mouth waters and mind saviors the various lovely dishes seen through the glass windows of the counter. I wish I could taste them all!!! I really do. Often I order 2 meals to go, because I like to eat it the next day as well. As noted above, the staff are friendly, professional, and courteous. They dispatch orders quickly or within 2-5 minutes. Overall, Curry King has become my number one 1 best restaurant, and I highly recommend it. I will update my review soon with new photos and videos. Thanks and happiness. Eat healthy and enjoy life.

They serve Pakistani, East Indian and Bangladeshi food. Very yummy vegetarian food that’s seasoned just right. Theirs always a large Indian crowd eating in here and that’s also a indication that’s the foods highly rated. I take frequent lunch breaks here when I’m in the area.

Given the portion size, I thought we would have leftovers. After the first bite, I knew that we would not. The fresh-baked naan and delicious curry alone make up for the lack of ambience. The setup is simple: a few tables inside where you can sit after ordering from a counter and selecting from premade dishes. While it’s not the setting for a fancy dinner, it’s perfect for a satisfying, affordable meal or quick takeout.

I've seen the bad reviews down there and I'm surprised. I had very good experience. I don't eat goat so I ordered paya without meat with 1 naan. I was charged full price which i understand. The price of $12 makes sense for Manhattan although I'd get same amount for $2.5 in Pakistan:) The taste was excellent and I totally loved it. Their Naan was outstanding. The place wasn't very tidy but it wasn't dirty anyway. They have a range of menu and desserts which is not usual for resrauranrs serving home made food.

I tried their samosa chaat and chai, both of which were great. The prices were reasonable (6$ for samosa chaat with single samosa, 8$ for two samosas). Chai was 2$. They also have kashmiri chai. The service was great. Overall, great authentic Pakistani food.

Good authentic Pakistani food, large selection of dishes that changes on a daily basis in addition to different naans, roti's, appetizers, BBQ's, teas & dessert's that are available daily. Small seating area. More of a face paced spot like most of the traditional Pakistani restaurant in the NYC area. Prices are on par with the neighborhood.

Placed a "Too Good To Go" & when I walked in, it was true to, what I imagine a restaurant in their home country, to operate like; which wasn't the issue. The issue was that a woman behind the counter was walking around & picking off the chicken from the cooking skewer to eat with her uncovered hand then put it back with the portions to serve. The chicken they gave was oily & cold though it came off, what was supposed to be, a hot buffet. I got Naan, maybe their version of Tikki Masala, rice, and some other hot/ cold item that I didn't bother with. The flavor wasn't bad but I didn't eat the full portion.

My wife and I got takeout. The chicken tikka masala was almost tasteless and they gave us oxtail instead of the chicken kofta we ordered. The samosas were decent. All in all, wouldn't recommend.

Used to love this spot, but really frustrated at how quality has fallen off a cliff. Undercooked tandoori roti, tasteless vegetables, and haleem that is swimming in ghee.

This was my second time ordering from this restaurant. I decided to give it another try, hoping my first experience might have been an exception, but unfortunately the quality remained the same. I ordered the mixed grill, goat biryani, dhal tadka, and channa masala. Overall, the dishes were low to average in quality. The mixed grill did not resemble grilled meats; it was more like chopped meat cooked in a masala. The goat biryani felt more like plain basmati rice mixed with goat rather than a traditional biryani. While the dhal tadka looked fine, it had an unusual smell when eaten, as if it was not fresh. The channa masala was also just average. Additionally, the “buy one get one free” promotion online was misleading. In the end, both items were charged for, which means your paying for two full orders rather than receiving a genuine promotional offer. This was deceiving. As this was my second experience and the issues were consistent, I probably would not consider ordering again. I hope this feedback is taken constructively and helps improve food quality and transparency in promotions.

This place was highly rated on Uber Eats with a 4.2 star rating with 4,000+ raters. I have not had Indian food in quite sometime so I placed an order. 1 chicken tikka masala with basmati rice (lunch size), 1 2pc veg samosa, and 1 order of garlic naan. When my ordered arrived it didn't smell anything like tikka masala. The sauce was chunky and separated and full of fatty liquids. It smelt like the yogurt or cream they used was expired. So I tried it. Didn't taste like Tikka Masala, but it wasn't bad tasting. The chicken was cooked fairly well, except some pieces were dry. The samosas were not added to the order. Instead I got vegetable pakora. I tried those and they were pretty good. The Garlic Naan was bland, no taste. The basmati rice was okay. It is now the next day that I'm writing this review, from my toilet. I think whatever I got from here gave me food posioning. In conclusion, save your money, and never believe the ratings on Uber Eats.

Really bottom of the barrel cheapest Indian garbage in New York. This is not the only place like this, they use industrial palm oil to make their “curries” which are 90% oil, 1% random chicken chunks that they buy in bulk from the processing center (not real pieces of chicken) and god knows what else. Even the bread is made from the cheapest industrial starch ever it’s so so so disgusting. Yes you can have a whole meal for $6 but what do you expect? Totally garbage quality, everything has been sitting out for days and is served in plastic dollar store disposables, and the staff don’t speak a word of English. I had dinner here and I’m still feeling sick and queasy. Please please don’t eat here

This is the worst Indian Food I’ve ever had. 👎 I’ve never been given a chicken tikka masala that is so greasy and mostly oil with barely any chicken. The chicken was barely cooked it was gooey. The rice taste likes it’s been out for three days and the garlic nan was all soggy with no flavor. I will never be coming back here.

I ordered through ubereats, a goat tikka with naan, and chicken curry. First and foremost the chicken curry was missing from the order. Also the food came an hour later and i was already hungry and now that somethings missing I’m annoyed. But fine let me try the goat tikka, like how can that be messed up? Admire the picture of what I received. It looks just as bad as it tasted. The only edible thing in my whole meal was the garlic naan and a can of ginger ale. I’ve never been disappointed by Indian food before but this place really set a new bar for disappointment for me. Time for me to go to sleep hungry, as this was supposed to be my dinner, and honestly maybe its better for my health that they messed up my order and i didn’t even get the chicken curry i planned to eat tomorrow. I’ve literally been so disappointed to the point I feel the need to review here and on yelp before others make same mistake i have. Mistakes happen, orders might get messed up and forgotten, but to even serve this to a person as food? Unacceptable. Ps: thats how the curry looked after i tried to stir it …so you can only imagine how it looked before.

They put up the special price sign outside.I ate chicken curry and naan bread. They charged me 12$.Which was listed on the outside for 9.99$. And the woman who works at night has very bad behavior. If such employees are in the store, the owner will lose customers. And food quality was very bad.

I had oxtail curry and goat/lamb tikka masala. I ordered them for delivery. The curry has more oil than spices and more bones than meat. This is probably absolutely rock bottom for curry. If you look at my attached photo, I think I had like 3 bites of meat(I mixed the two curry portions) and everything else is bones. Also note the swimming pool of oil at the top. Meat is bland too.

I ordered 3 different plates from here, the food had no salt, and two of the plates($19) was filled with bones and fat. It had no meat just bones and oil with rice. Spend your money somewhere better:(

The elderly Bengali lady who works the night shift often charges extra when you pay by card, which feels unfair. They usually seat customers right next to the bathroom, which is very uncomfortable. On top of that, the food doesn’t seem fresh—I’ve noticed a strange smell in the meat multiple times. Overall, the experience has been disappointing and I won’t be coming back.

I love love hole-in-the-wall restaurants because sometimes you get the best tasting food for reasonable prices. That's why I decided to give this restaurant a try. However, this is truly a gritty, dingy, hole-in-the-wall indian restaurant with decent tasting Indian food but with a bad, rude, gruff, racist, unprofessional attitude. First, after placing my takeout order and seated waiting, a hispanic woman came in to dine in. She placed her order and sat at a table previously occupied by 2 Indian policemen. Where do you see 2 Indian policemen working the same beat and having lunch together in NYC? I was still trying to work out the logistic of if they were partnered together, coincidentally, or if they planned to meet at their favorite Indian restaurant for lunch (but where are their other partners - at the donut shop together?) when I heard the Hispanic woman ask the older Indian woman wiping the other tables to please wipe her table. She was ignored. She repeated her request louder and was ignored. As the wiper moved to go back into the kitchen the Hispanic woman, shouting this time, asked the Indian server behind the food counter if she could get the wiper to wipe the table. She was ignored. But the 2 Indian women began talking to each other in their native language and an elderly Indian man came out the kitchen to survey the problem, but did nothing but add to the shouting going back and forth. To make matters worse, when the Hispanic woman's food was ready they put it on a tray on the food counter and called for her to come get it herself. She asked if someone could bring it to her table. They refused, even though the wiper was moving between the counter and tables doing God knows what - anything but not wiping the Hispanic woman's table. An argument ensued with the Hispanic woman saying she is never coming back here. A sentiment I also express as I got my food which I initially said was take out. Of the 4 dishes, the chicken and nan were hot but the potato and dali were cold. My son who was on the phone with me said I should ask them to heat it up because maybe they think i would heat it up home as I said takeout. I said what if I was planning to go eat in a park. Takeout does not mean home eating. They should serve hot food. It made me wonder if the potato and dali was yesterday's food from a fridge but the chicken and nan were prepared on that date. Finally, no fork, no napkin, nothing in the bag. Poor service. Poor Attitude. Poor Dining Atmosphere. Black me, and hopefully, the Hispanic woman, are not going back there again. Only the chicken was tasty. The nan was pure tasteless flour and the potato was either not potato or forced-ripe potato that was undercooked - hard on the inside.

Very disappointed my paya had a lot of hair in it. Completely unhygienic. Chutney was rotten. I do not recommend buying from here.
