A great deli located in an area of high priced eateries. Friendly staff centered around grill master Moe, who serves up the best egg-ham-cheese-croissant sandwiches I’ve ever eaten. His burgers aren’t bad either. Love the quantity and quality for the money.

What an excellent customer service and excellent breakfast 👌 😀 ... I am a breakfast type of girl and I been going to this deli every morning for over 3 months now! They listen to what exactly you want and even though i'm extra particular about how I want my bagel toasted , scooped out and 1 slice of cheese and lite on the butter ... I have never felt like a bother... Mo is def the top Chef and Jenny it's always on point with the coffee and service! Thankful for an affordable deli around this pricey area 🙌 🙏

I have only been in the neighborhood for 3 weeks but even on my first visit the staff was friendly, accommodating and helpful and because of them I COME BACK. I now get my bi weekly burgers from them. They are juicy and prepared the way I request them. I by mistake went to SHAKE SHACK...omg...burnt burger, not the condiments I requested and churlish reception upon receiving. It's just nice coming to a place where you are treated with respect and concern. While waiting I noticed they treat everyone kindly....one would think u were in the south....pure southern hospitality. THANKS.

Working in NYC for a week, I was still operating on UK time. I was looking for somewhere open at this time. Based on not having many 24 hour places, I was a little bit worried, however, I walked in and the 2 guys working there were super pleasant and helpful and we spoke and football (soccer!) I got the sausage, egg, cheese roll and it was delicious! A great balance of flavours. I think that is an independent place, and if it is, those employees deserve the love, they are great workers and I may just go there each morning for breakfast!

I just reviewed in Grubhub but wanted to give some praise here. Great delivery deli that actually listens to custom instructions. Not to mention great food!

Incredible beer selection. They have a rotating draft list and also beer fridges where you can get cans/bottles to go or consume on-site. I tried some beers I have never seen anywhere else. The food is amazing as well. Tried 3 different grilled cheese sandwiches over a few visits and all were great but my favorite was the one with sour cherry jam. Incredible cheese blend. Also really enjoyed the kimchi dog. It’s a very cozy spot that seems to be frequented by locals. Highly recommend this place.

Obviously phenomenal selection of beers. They are knowledgeable about them. They are well categorized in the refrigerators. They have a separate price for takeout which is always nice. The grilled cheese is beautifully done (Loved the Cherry one). They often put rather expensive beers on draft which I think sets them apart from other beer places.

I had high expectations, but this place still over delivered. I couldn't find Evil Twins beers I wanted, but they have some other great choices, like Firewalker. Also tried their food, which was also nice: melted sandwiches and pretzels to accompany the beers they have.

An incredible selection of beers, both draft and cans/bottles. The owner is very knowledgeable about what they carry. There is a simple menu of grilled cheese sandwiches and different types of dogs, but they are so good, especially after a few aforementioned beers. An easy way to spend an afternoon. Lots of beers that refer to cats.

Awesome little stop for craft beers at very affordable prices. They have a few draft options, plus an amazing collection of single cans. There is something for everyone here. Our party tried a lot of different beers. We were in town for a "Goose" concert at MSG, and surprisingly they had Goose playing on the radio. So this became our official "pre game" spot. The staff was great and very helpful with beer suggestions. A true connoisseur of his craft. The food menu looked really good too. We were still full from the last stop so we didn't get any food. Definitely plan to check out a few things next time around.

Now, I visited a small number of craft beer places in NYC. City beer was the only one worth going back to. Here, you find a vast range of beers from across America and Europe. With stock from the UK, Belgium, and Germany. What's not love.. On the taps were the amazing beers from local and afar brewers. It's very well decorated, and I'm envious that such a bar doesn't exist near me. This place is untapped. If you're looking for your beer fix, this is the place for you..

They had only just opened when I walked in to buy some take-outs, but I was treated like royalty. No question too vague, no opinion disregarded. We talked all things beer and their selection is great, both taps, bottles, and a huge array of cans. I'm doubting you will ever see a Miller Lite or Coors in here, this is the real deal, for people who appreciate excellent craft beers. Cheers, we will be back.

My go-to spot to grab a quick bite and a refreshing beer for the past few years. This place offers a diverse selection of craft beers and chill atmosphere. From the menu, my personal favorite is their “Purgatory” grilled cheese drizzled with spicy honey and chips. Also tried the pretzels which were surprisingly delicious along with a Dijon mustard dip that paired really well. There are also cans and draft options to-go. Definitely a great place to check out.

Great craft brew bar. They have a bunch of beers on tap, but they have even more in cans and bottles. This place is excellent for trying new craft beers that are made locally and domestically. There is no way you will go through their entire selection. The place is never too crowded or noisy. Great to drink in or take out. No line or jockeying for the bar.

Absolutely fantastic selection of craft beers. Very cute bar to hang out at, and they have a few tables outside too. The draft selection is really good - and they offer growlers. As a side note, they also have a great selection of beer glasses.

Loved this place! There were so many beers to choose from. Didn't actually feel like drinking at the time, so I'll have to come back on my next trip. My boyfriend has a sour beer on tap that was amazing. I was settled on the truffle pretzel, but the owner suggested the melts. I ordered the loaded tot, which was everything I needed to recover from the previous nights hangover and totally amazing.

I hate to admit this…but is this my FAVORITE beer place in the city. From the melts (grilled cheese) to the pretzels, oh and not to mention the tots (bruh), and let’s not forget why we’re here: THE BEER. This place is outstanding. They rotate their taps (I think somewhere around 17) all the time, so you’re able to try all kinds of beer on draught when usually you would have to resort to the can or the bottle. I won’t lie, I try as many as I can each time I visit. The staff are extremely knowledgeable and can make really good recommendations. I really don’t want more people crowding my favorite spot, but do yourself a favor and visit City Beer. Whether it be for a drink to catch up with with friend, decompress after work, or first date; this is the appropriate place! If I could give 6 stars, I would. Cheers

Low-key neighborhood spot with a very impressive beer selection. 18 rotating taps with a good mix of breweries from NY state and beyond. Draft beers are typically served in a 10/13oz glass but everything is also available in a 32oz crowler to go. 100s of cold cans and bottles to stay or to go, including a good selection of Belgian beers. The food menu consists of hot sandwiches, hot dogs and other typical beer bar snacks.

No coffee shop! There is no seating anywhere in this establishment or ambience.... although the server is very hospitable and eager to assist you at any moment.

I just needed a plastic fork since I’ve been starving for hours and my blood sugar was already low enough, I rushed and went inside to this store and asked for one single plastic fork, they literally asked for 5 cents🤦🏻‍♀️ and since I didn’t have any cents, they didn’t give me any fork. That is the most stupid thing that’s ever happened to me in the city! thank god “just salad”, which was just a few blocks away, gave me whatever I needed! You should be aware of that how small acts will effect your business. I will never think this place is a nice and kind environment whenever I pass through it anymore, while I always remember and keep purchasing things from the stores that have nicer employees and managers. yes, all because of a single fork, tells enough.

Skimpy sandwiches rude service over priced not welcoming to customers this place needs Boot Camp 101 for customer service you walk in they’re not warm. There’s no reception then they will destroy your food or flat out make it wrong then It’s made very poorly and very skimpy Deli guy has no clue what he’s doing properly does not work the grill or knows food properly they guarantee will mess up your order and overcharge you for a bacon egg and cheese price 5.99 to $15 within the price range and every day you can guarantee you will get a different price when there’s a special for 5.99 and a free coffee. They guarantee will mess up your order or roll your sandwich smashed or do something dumb intentionally if you do so much as to even think to add ketchup and mayo to your sandwich they would overcharge you. disgusting

Took about 5-6 min for someone to even acknowledge me waiting to order. When she finally did, I ordered a fresh celery juice. After waiting another 10 min with only one person ahead of me she rang me up and told me it would be $16 when on the menu it says $10. When I asked her, she said because celery is not on the menu?! She should have told me that before making it!! I would never have continued with the order and paid $16 for a cup of fresh celery juice when it’s almost double just cause it’s NOT on the menu?! Honestly that’s ridiculous. Maybe tell your employees to communicate to your customers the price if it’s different than what’s posted on your menu.

While we had been to the restaurant many times over the years. The new ownership is quite rude, food is subpar, and yesterday will be our last time. If you have another choice of restaurants I would strongly suggest picking one of them over Cafe Venice.
