Deep Indian Kitchen is a great casual place to get some authentic Indian food. Prices are really fair and our favorite menu items are the chicken samosas and chicken biriani. Very tasty!
I love deep kitchen. The food is very good. I also love that I can pick up items like a 32 oz mango lassi to bring home to share with my family.
This place is so cool and modern. The guy at the register was so friendly and chill. We decided to dine in because we loved the inside. There’s also an upstairs to eat in as well. I got the chicken tikka masala combo with this flat bread(not the naan) and it was out of this world. Now keep in mind it is SPICY and I only had it at spice level ONE lol. Delicious though. My wife got the Chicken Tikka Biryani and the spices and flavors were awesome but again SPICY at level ONE lol. We ordered Chicken and Lamb Samosas and the flavors were very very good. Highly recommend them. The kind gentleman then came out and had us try Chicken Mughali in two small bowls to sample and yeah I’m 100% getting this next time. Incredibly creamy and delicious with so many flavors in your mouth. To finish it off I got a Mango Lassi that was refreshing and helped calm my burning mouth and stomach. My wife and son got the ice cream and it was very light and creamy. Great way to end our dinner. 5/5! Will definitely be coming back here again! Great hospitality and friendly service!
For what it is, fast food, it is good. The order machine is self explanatory. Just click on an item and it will go “deep”er into their offerings. Like, we wanted butter chicken, but you don’t see it right away. Click on chicken tikka and there are many options, like butter chicken. My 11yo wanted butter chicken and is sensitive to spice. The “as is” level is not mild and has a slight kick to it, but manageable; just be aware of it. The dal soup has a creamy, chili consistency. The garlic naan is fragrant and delicious. Price is about $10 that includes either rice or naan. No extra cost if you choose garlic over plain naan.
The first time I went for dinner was a few months after they opened. The paneer sag was amazing. So was the chai!!! It was a cheaper and closer option than the other I restaurant I go to. Yes, they are known for frozen meals but I do not believe I was served one. The flavor was rich and perfect temperature. The packaging is nice and the wait time wasn’t bad. The space is incredible and you can host events there. I appreciate ordering on the kiosk because it gives me time to decide and time for staff to focus on food prep. They are quiet but when I have spoken to them, they were really friendly and accommodating. I got upset though because one couple screamed at them for about 10 minutes. It ruined the vibe for a bit. They’re just trying to do their job. I went a few days ago. I went down a spice level but the food was still great. I got chicken sag and onion kofta (for the first time). The onion fritters were good but not my cup of tea. The tamarind sauce which I thought I wouldn’t like was yummy! I also tasted samosas (yum!) and the mango lassi (also yum!). Please try their candy- family loved it. The staff was friendly and the place was clean. It was quiet and a perfect place for my friend and I to catch up. I like it so much I may host an event here.
Great counter service Indian food! Service was very slow - luckily we ordered ahead online, I recommend doing that so your food doesn't take too long. They're understaffed but staff was still helpful. The vegan chana masala and the lamb curry were fantastic with really great seasoning. Level 1 was spicier than we expected but still tolerable and delicious.
Love their Samosas & Kathi Rolls. The Chai is also good. They used to have a store near Central Park in Manhattan which I used to frequent but now they have closed it down, along with other Manhattan stores — too bad! This is their only physical store now. The prices are super reasonable for the quality and amount of food.
This is a modern, Indian fast food/dine-in spot. You walk into a fresh new restaurant with a very sleek look. You can place your order on the screens they have and they will make it. You can peek into the glass to see what they’re cooking and how they’re doing it. They have some Deep snacks available as well to purchase. The food itself was surprisingly tasty, definitely great for a quick bite!
Deep makes me think of an Indian Chipotle, if Chipotle also sold snacks and desserts. I enjoy Indian food on occasion (with a few favorites usually being around Edison) so it was nice to see this spot. Ordering can be done from kiosk or the counter I think, and it was fairly smooth. My group and I decided to try a few items that we normally enjoy: biryani, chicken tikka masala, daal, garlic naan, and a variety order of their samosas. When you’re with friends who like to eat, why not try more! I also liked that a variety of Indian snacks are available for sale and struck up conversation with a nearby guest about whether I should try a spicy hot mix! (I did.) Parking was plentiful. Interior spacious with two levels of seating. I’d come again if I was looking for a quick Indian meal.
They had me at Kulcha Krave and it hit the spot! Everything we ordered (and we ordered a lot) was fresh and delish! There were 6-8 pakoras in one ordered which we shared. Kulcha was great size. Friends ordered chicken tikka masala with rice. Potato samosas were so good … place is new and modern! Will go there soon. Highly recommend!
Brand new and so very modern and clean. Plenty of seating (upstairs as well) and the kiosks for ordering are great! The food has consistently been great - hot flavorful and perfect portion sizes. It doesn't feel like "fast food" which is a welcome change from the other neighborhood options! I'm really glad there is finally an Indian food option in the area - this will be part of my regular lunch rotation! I recommend dining in (tastes best hot) and trying it at least once!!
Great addition!! I recommend starting with the chicken Tikka Masala and adding a bit of spice. The dish has great flavor and tastes pretty authentic. The chicken is flavored well and doesn't feel too hard or too soft. The rice and naan also taste great! The way the menu is set up on the kiosks is very convenient while also still giving you a great amount of choices for each individual dish; adjust the spice level, make it vegetarian, or choose between rice and naan. Cost is pretty affordable as well; about $10 a bowl! Since it's a new location, the interior is fresh and clean. The staff was professional.
Everything was wonderful! The food, the upstairs/downstairs seating, and the service! One of the managers went checking on customers and their food. Very nice of him, he also requested any suggestions. Before we left, we spoke with I believe another friendly manager. Let her know it was delicious, wasn't expensive like we were thinking and some Indian music would be nice to tie it all together. She mentioned they plan to bring in cocktails which is exciting. The portion size of the "Feast" option was on the smaller side. I would have loved to have more as it was so good! Overall, my husband and I will definitely be back!
I recently visited Deep Indian Kitchen and honestly I had very good experience. The food taste is really authentic, proper Indian style, not too oily and not bland like some other places. You can clearly feel they are using good quality ingredients and fresh masalas. I tried a few items and everything was well cooked and full of flavor, especially the curries and starters. The portion size is also very reasonable for the price, which I really appreciate. Many Indian restaurants reduce quantity, but here it was satisfying. The place was clean and well maintained, and the ambience was nice for both dine-in and takeaway. Staff members were polite and helpful, patiently explaining the menu and giving suggestions. Even when the restaurant was little busy, they were managing customers properly without attitude. Food came on time and was served hot. Overall, this is a very reliable place if you are craving real Indian food with good taste and consistency. I would definitely recommend Deep Indian Kitchen to anyone looking for homely yet restaurant-quality Indian food. I will surely visit again.
On December 5th, I accidentally ordered six samosas through the kiosk when I only intended to purchase three. I immediately requested a refund but was told that only a manager could approve it, and no manager was available. My contact information was taken, and I was assured someone would follow up. After several days with no response, I contacted the store and spoke with Caroline, who again took my information and promised that a manager would reach out. Despite multiple follow-ups and nearly a week passing, no manager contacted me. I eventually went to the restaurant in person, where I learned that refunds were not being issued at the time. I also never received the samosas I had paid for. Caroline ultimately resolved the issue and was very helpful, unlike the general managers, who failed to communicate or address my refund request.
My first visit but, not my last! I ordered take out. I must compliment the staff. I give them a 5! My meal was delicious. That said, I love spicy food but, since this was my first experience with Deep, I went bold and ordered the “one pepper” spice level (vs. “as is”). Everything was perfectly cooked. The spinach samosa was delicious. But, I was surprised the one pepper spice level was too much for me! Surprising, as I have always embraced hot Indian dishes. I cooled it with a lovely rose 😂. Lesson learned! I will order “as is” next time. And, there will definitely be a next time! This is a new Indian food go-to for me!
The first time was Thursday around 1pm. It wasn't even busy. We didn't know we had to order our food on the Machine and the Lady wasn't as nice when she Stated " you placed your order on the machine" which is located on the other side of the restaurant 🙄 that's where professionalism falls in. Knowing how to direct the customer and speak to them. I was impressed to see the restaurant wasn't run by Indian people. The place is clean, but you barely see any workers, especially to clean up after the customer. Not even a manager came out to see how everything was coming along. The food came out Hot and They do not bring the food to your table. You have to pick it up at the front where the Lady refused to take our order. We wasn't even offer any beverages to drink ( we had our own drinks on hand) The chairs are very uncomfortable. The SAMOSAS we ordered came with Two and they were big and Hot. The Garlic Naan was also a descent size. The beans taste good.
The restaurant was very clean and kiosks ready to take faster orders. The presentation on the plate was nice. However, the taste was not good at all. It didn’t have a taste at all. It tasted like spices but nothing flavorful or savory. Very disappointing especially getting charged extra for lamb and combo. No thank you. Please do better with seasoning the food along with the traditional spices. Signed me—Tania Simone
