I had same concern about food being reheated before going to the place ! Food ended up being better than fast food joints in Edison (Mughal express, Nirvanis). Place was spotlessly clean. And staff was exceptionally polite. Shoutout to the Hispanic worker who checked on my food twice. Underrated place!

The food was amazing. The spice levels were extremely accurate and up-to the expectations. The food tastes very authentic and yet well presented. I wish they had more authentic deserts though. Overall, it’s truly a nice place. 10/10 would recommend

Great fast food Indian food. The place is clean and modern. You order on a kiosk then they made your food pretty quick. I’ve tried the tikka masala chicken with paratha and the chicken samosas both were good.

Stumbled upon this amazing place leaving the Best Buy shopping plaza. Probably no DEFINITELY one of the best Indian restaurant in the area.

A hidden gem in Union, NJ right off Rt 22 West. A must go to spot to try. I was pleasantly surprised and now will be a regular customer. Chicken Tikka was perfect, Samosas was crunchy and light on the outside and great meat portions on the inside, Garlic Naan was great too. We got everything with spicy as "1", which is enough. Will try spicy "2" next time. Several beers on tap and some bottles which was a surprise. Original drinks was a nice addition. Nice ambience and calm environment inside, the second floor was a nice bonus. The food portion is on the lighter side. Maybe this can change in time. I'm definitely coming back to try others in the menu.

This place is so yummy! Better than many of the indian restaurants in NYC for very affordable pricing. The first time I visited, their male employee allowed me to place a order on the phone just so I wouldn’t be late for my flight. Second time I visited, just as good! They are understaffed and they do the best they can. Please be mindful of that as I saw many shouting orders!

Yess.. Eating area upstairs is sweet spot to enjoy the Taj Mahal beer you'll want to grab. Food is fresh & delicious. Thanks

You can either order a tablet or face-to-face with an associate. Place is neat clean with sweet music playing. The food is fresh and excellent and gives you many options to customize your meal. Comprable prices and for the amount of food you get definitely worth it compared to getting burgers or five guys or Pizza in my opinion. This will probably be my new go-to spot!

The service is prompt and very friendly. The place is meticulously clean. The food never fails to satisfy. Everything on the menu is great. I'm a great fan of their lamb biryani and samosas. This is my favorite lunch spot.

Real modern take on Ok Indian food. Has a Chipotle feel. They don't make it in front of you but the kitchen has a glass window. You can tell they focus on take out orders, but the seating area is clean and modern. Great for a quick lunch or dinner. Not romantic but still a nice chill place. Just enough food for one person, but decently priced. It's not the local spots that bury you in rice and sauce. Wish seating area was bigger. Tables can easily be merged for larger orders but not a big place so seating is limited. No more than 25-30 people max capacity in the seating area. But will def add this to Uber eats favorites.

This isOne of best places I have ever ate at. The food is amazing And always order something different every time I go. Don’t listen to these bad reviews. I have been there almost once a week for the past two months and never had a single bad dish. My favorite Dish is the kulcha kave with lamb. But all ther food is full of amazing flavors. The staff are so friendly and happy all the time. And if your Lucky enough you’ll get a concert from the cook. The atmosphere is great. This must go to spot…

This place is a real gem. Ample parking with plenty of seating on two levels. The design is modern and comfortable. Portions are quite generous, and the quality stood out from other places we’ve been to. This restaurant is kid friendly as well. I recommend this for a family outing, business lunch, or a date night!

Finally open and worth the wait. The food was amazing. Great flavors and fresh tasting, which considering its a "fast food" restaurant is impressive. Having said that, know that it took a minute to get my food but I was not complaining after tasting it. This location also sells beer and packaged food products, including their famous frozen food options they sell in supermarkets. You have to check this place out!

Service and staff were great. I got the chicken mughlai. Naan was fresh and tasted great. Been to many Indian restaurants but this was a whole new experience. Mango Lassi was on point.

My go-to for a delicious Indian food fix. Food gets made fairly quickly and the place is clean. Sometimes it can take a bit for someone to come to the front if you're picking up an order placed online. Hard to resist getting some if you're outside around the area due to the smell.

Great options for vegetarian meals. Nice 'fast food' concept adaptation for Indian cuisine.

Get ready for a tasty delight with Deep Indian Kitchen’s savory dishes. Out go to is the butter chicken. It’s a delicious blend of savory and spicy that never stops amazing us. This is some of best tasting and most reasonably priced, authentic Indian food in NJ!

Clean, ultra-modern restaurant surveying classic Indian takeout dishes in a fast casual setting. Food is delicious, but definitely adheres to Indian spice standards So even if you're someone who traditionally likes spicy food, unless you have experience with authentic Indian cuisine potentially start slow or at least no what you're getting into. Love the vindaloo curry

This is by far my favorite place . I always order two orders of the chicken Biryani and veggies samosas(potatoes and peas). They also serve beer and have a few other alcohol options to choose from. I also love the deep Ayurveda Elixir golden root turmeric drink along with the other flavors that they have . I usually get one of each .

Kati roll was awesome. They also sell an "Indian Style Brittle" which is delicious for dessert! Staff/management was very friendly and welcoming. They serve beer on tap, including an Indian one. Nice touches and a very cool experience!😎

I love it here!!! Authentic Indian food that is true to the taste and spice is super hard to find. You can go to any Indian restaurant and I can guarantee is frozen food being reheated and served but man was I blown away! The food is so delicious and fresh. The manager was so helpful and you can tell they have such passion for the food and stay true to the roots. Will definitely be coming back here for more!!

Been going here for years and honestly had the best Indian food we’ve ever had. Since the ones in the city have all closed, this one has been the one to go to now! Highly recommend it here!!

I went to Masala the grocery store and they recommended Deep Indian Kitchen to me. The kiosks to order your food are very easy to use. I ordered the chicken tikka masala with many sides and drinks. I love the option to select the spice level. They have vegetarian and VEGAN options... yes that's in caps. The kachumber ( cucumber salad) was very fresh, very good chai. 😋 The staff was very nice, the place is clean, and has a nice atmosphere. Select from different tables and seating options, bench, chair, high stooI and low stool/ high chairs for kids. There is no wait staff (which is not a negative in my book), you order at kiosk (dine-in or take-out) and pick up at counter when its ready, select your seating. Don't forget to check out their pantry items section, and several bottled beer selections available at the register, for those who want it. I highly recommend this place. I wish I lived closer, I would come here all the time. I write this review as I'm sitting inside. Thank you Larry for helping me pack up my food :)

Ever since The Kati Roll Company opened next to my apartment on McDougal Street in the west village NYC I have had my ear to the ground for similar experiences. I saw 'Deep Indian Kitchen' being built next to the Deep Foods headquarters in Union NJ and have been waiting for this location to open FOREVER! Finally had a chance to walk through the door and I really enjoyed it as did my family. User friendly kiosks to order your meal and a nice open space with thoughtful design and seating. They do serve beer and select mixed drinks. Dining experience is steps above but similar to Panera & Chipotle (apologies for the comparison) in that it is a simple menu, kiosk order and not much interaction with kitchen or counter help. You can dine in at an eclectic mix of tables but there is no table service. Your order is called and you can take out or dine at tables. Food was delicious and well branded with Deep Foods in custom packaging. Looking forward to my next visit.

Just as others have indicated, modern Indian food establishment quick bites type selections all very fresh - absolutely delightful… Frank N. opened shop as I was there at 11a and I complimented Deep team on the difference there products have made for Indian cuisine. The freshness is obvious and Frank agreed saying it’s one of the reasons he looks forward to opening each day, Deep’s commitment to fresh ingredients… He should be excited as I think Deep is doing a lot of things right in their community - Chat, Kati Rolls, Samsoas & Onion Baji/Pakora could go a long way in fresh fast food culture. These are photos of resto, treat, main production plant & spice shop across street…

Amazing amazing experience. We ordered Chicken Tikka combo, Kathi rolls and chicken biryani. By the time we finished the food, our tummy n taste buds were in heaven. The kathi rolls were on point, super soft roll, delicious filling. Biryani was garnished with fried onions that gave it a crunchy feel. Definitely recommend and would definitely visit again. Loved it.

We saw a review that said portions were too small, so my husband and I ordered a few different things-- chicken Tikka masala, lamb vindaloo, chana masala, and Malai kofta, along with 2 samosas (each order contains two, so we were surprised with 4!) and chose some sides of rice and some with naan. We had wayyyy too much food, and we are big eaters. We had to ask them to package up two of our dishes, half of the samosas and half of the naan....guess I know what we'll have for dinner! Cool vibe, very clean, good food. Definitely recommend.

Love this product, so much better than your competition. The quality is that of an authentic restaurant. I just had the coconut chicken curry and I am amazed at not only the wonderful flavor but you folks are so consistent with size and quality of your chicken. I had 4 large, thick pieces and top quality. Perfect consistency and delicious. Unlike your competitor who gives maybe 6 tiny pieces of chicken that are like rubber or slimy. Your rice is wonderful also, nice flavor and texture. Now I will have to try your samosas and garlic Nan, I am sure I will love them. Thank you so much. I do not buy frozen meals often but I I will continue to buy yours!

Hello! I'm from North Carolina and I just purchased a couple of your food packages from our Walmart, and I'm like WOW! I wanted to try something different, quick and easy and oh my stars🌟. I feel like I'm in your restaurant and my food was just brought out to me. It was fresh and delicious, it wasn't enough😂 I had to find your website, but I couldn't leave a review, so I came here😁 I most definitely will be purchasing more of your products. Thank you for making such healthy and delicious food! Letithia

This place is so cool and modern. The guy at the register was so friendly and chill. We decided to dine in because we loved the inside. There’s also an upstairs to eat in as well. I got the chicken tikka masala combo with this flat bread(not the naan) and it was out of this world. Now keep in mind it is SPICY and I only had it at spice level ONE lol. Delicious though. My wife got the Chicken Tikka Biryani and the spices and flavors were awesome but again SPICY at level ONE lol. We ordered Chicken and Lamb Samosas and the flavors were very very good. Highly recommend them. The kind gentleman then came out and had us try Chicken Mughali in two small bowls to sample and yeah I’m 100% getting this next time. Incredibly creamy and delicious with so many flavors in your mouth. To finish it off I got a Mango Lassi that was refreshing and helped calm my burning mouth and stomach. My wife and son got the ice cream and it was very light and creamy. Great way to end our dinner. 5/5! Will definitely be coming back here again! Great hospitality and friendly service!

For what it is, fast food, it is good. The order machine is self explanatory. Just click on an item and it will go “deep”er into their offerings. Like, we wanted butter chicken, but you don’t see it right away. Click on chicken tikka and there are many options, like butter chicken. My 11yo wanted butter chicken and is sensitive to spice. The “as is” level is not mild and has a slight kick to it, but manageable; just be aware of it. The dal soup has a creamy, chili consistency. The garlic naan is fragrant and delicious. Price is about $10 that includes either rice or naan. No extra cost if you choose garlic over plain naan.

The first time I went for dinner was a few months after they opened. The paneer sag was amazing. So was the chai!!! It was a cheaper and closer option than the other I restaurant I go to. Yes, they are known for frozen meals but I do not believe I was served one. The flavor was rich and perfect temperature. The packaging is nice and the wait time wasn’t bad. The space is incredible and you can host events there. I appreciate ordering on the kiosk because it gives me time to decide and time for staff to focus on food prep. They are quiet but when I have spoken to them, they were really friendly and accommodating. I got upset though because one couple screamed at them for about 10 minutes. It ruined the vibe for a bit. They’re just trying to do their job. I went a few days ago. I went down a spice level but the food was still great. I got chicken sag and onion kofta (for the first time). The onion fritters were good but not my cup of tea. The tamarind sauce which I thought I wouldn’t like was yummy! I also tasted samosas (yum!) and the mango lassi (also yum!). Please try their candy- family loved it. The staff was friendly and the place was clean. It was quiet and a perfect place for my friend and I to catch up. I like it so much I may host an event here.

Great counter service Indian food! Service was very slow - luckily we ordered ahead online, I recommend doing that so your food doesn't take too long. They're understaffed but staff was still helpful. The vegan chana masala and the lamb curry were fantastic with really great seasoning. Level 1 was spicier than we expected but still tolerable and delicious.

Love their Samosas & Kathi Rolls. The Chai is also good. They used to have a store near Central Park in Manhattan which I used to frequent but now they have closed it down, along with other Manhattan stores — too bad! This is their only physical store now. The prices are super reasonable for the quality and amount of food.

We went here for lunch and found it little different than other Indian places in terms of Ambience, menu items. We tried Kulcha Krave and it’s really delicious. Cleanliness of the eatery, courteous staff and few unique food items makes this place must try for all the foodies.

This is a modern, Indian fast food/dine-in spot. You walk into a fresh new restaurant with a very sleek look. You can place your order on the screens they have and they will make it. You can peek into the glass to see what they’re cooking and how they’re doing it. They have some Deep snacks available as well to purchase. The food itself was surprisingly tasty, definitely great for a quick bite!

Deep makes me think of an Indian Chipotle, if Chipotle also sold snacks and desserts. I enjoy Indian food on occasion (with a few favorites usually being around Edison) so it was nice to see this spot. Ordering can be done from kiosk or the counter I think, and it was fairly smooth. My group and I decided to try a few items that we normally enjoy: biryani, chicken tikka masala, daal, garlic naan, and a variety order of their samosas. When you’re with friends who like to eat, why not try more! I also liked that a variety of Indian snacks are available for sale and struck up conversation with a nearby guest about whether I should try a spicy hot mix! (I did.) Parking was plentiful. Interior spacious with two levels of seating. I’d come again if I was looking for a quick Indian meal.

They had me at Kulcha Krave and it hit the spot! Everything we ordered (and we ordered a lot) was fresh and delish! There were 6-8 pakoras in one ordered which we shared. Kulcha was great size. Friends ordered chicken tikka masala with rice. Potato samosas were so good … place is new and modern! Will go there soon. Highly recommend!

Brand new and so very modern and clean. Plenty of seating (upstairs as well) and the kiosks for ordering are great! The food has consistently been great - hot flavorful and perfect portion sizes. It doesn't feel like "fast food" which is a welcome change from the other neighborhood options! I'm really glad there is finally an Indian food option in the area - this will be part of my regular lunch rotation! I recommend dining in (tastes best hot) and trying it at least once!!

Clean, large, high ceiling. Very relaxing and comfortable. They have reasonable price for Indian curry. Love the easy-to-navigate Kiosk for ordering. They also sell their own products in the store, will def try it out next time.

Great addition!! I recommend starting with the chicken Tikka Masala and adding a bit of spice. The dish has great flavor and tastes pretty authentic. The chicken is flavored well and doesn't feel too hard or too soft. The rice and naan also taste great! The way the menu is set up on the kiosks is very convenient while also still giving you a great amount of choices for each individual dish; adjust the spice level, make it vegetarian, or choose between rice and naan. Cost is pretty affordable as well; about $10 a bowl! Since it's a new location, the interior is fresh and clean. The staff was professional.

Everything was wonderful! The food, the upstairs/downstairs seating, and the service! One of the managers went checking on customers and their food. Very nice of him, he also requested any suggestions. Before we left, we spoke with I believe another friendly manager. Let her know it was delicious, wasn't expensive like we were thinking and some Indian music would be nice to tie it all together. She mentioned they plan to bring in cocktails which is exciting. The portion size of the "Feast" option was on the smaller side. I would have loved to have more as it was so good! Overall, my husband and I will definitely be back!

I heard about the place from my colleagues and decided to try it out. Deep Indian kitchen is right off Rt22, plenty of parking and ample amount of seating inside. You order from a kiosk and they let you know when your food is ready. It's so spacious like a food court vibe and it wasn't a lot of people there so it's a great spot to bring your laptop and eat while getting some work done. I ordered the butter chicken and chicken tikka Marsala feast to go. That came with garlic naan, basmati rice and a cucumber salad. The food was delicious and at level 1 had just the right amount of heat. They also have dessert and pressed juices. I will be back again.

L
Lisa Abdill

Food was excellent! Took a little bit of trying to figure out the ordering kiosk though. Know that even level one is very spicy… I like it like that but I’m Really glad I didn’t try level 2 like I was going to. The “feast “ is the best deal. Kind of felt like fast food atmosphere but the food made up for that.

C
Caderian Brown

The only reason why I didn’t give a full 5 star rating was the fact that the serving could have been a bit more. It baffles me how anyone can get full off that small serving. Other than that the staff was great you could taste the different spices and seasonings. My naan was a bit on the thin side other than that I would go back only if the servings are a bit more.

M
Michael L

It's a great counter service spot, I didn't know that until I got there but no biggie. Three good was spicy just the way I like, but you don't have to go that spicy. Prepared quick so not a big wait and there's plenty of tables. Plus, it's clean

A nice cuisine change from other fast food like pizza and burgers. Tried the chicken coconut curry combo and chicken samosa. Food was very tasty but portion was small. Garlic naan was great with soaking up the meat and sauce. Place was spacious with upstairs seating. Place order at kiosk and food is ready in less than 5 minutes. Staff were friendly and helpful.

We have ordered food from there three times so far. The first time it was amazing! The second time it seemed like the quality wasn’t as great as the first time. The third time we ordered - the food wasn’t up to par. We ordered spice level 3 and my husband who doesn’t eat spicy at all was able to eat it without any issues! The individuals who love spicy food were very disappointed. Please try to be consistent with your food. They just opened in May and have experienced low quality in two months.

Second time been there Food is pretty good. First time food was better then the second time. Not sure if the workers (cook)were different or not. Food is descent Not sure but just a opinion , if the cook in the back were natives the food might be better tasting just a opinion or recommendation after all it’s supposed to be and taste like INDIAN food . Atmosphere is good They did a better job with the second floor but a lot of steps if there’s someone hard of walking they will Be stuck at the first floor Chairs are a bit uncomfortable the tables are. Not flushed with each other Just little things noticed. The wait was too long. Many people were walking in and lining up like at a store in line for the cashier the kiosks were all taken so a line there also Food ordered were tikka masala. Naan. Chicken and lamb biryani mango lassi Food tasted better the first visit second visit not so great .

Go deeeeep!!! This place offers a vast menu of deep home-cooked flavors at a fast food pace with very fair prices. You're in total control of the spice level for all entrees (as-is and Levels 1, 2, and 3). I recommend their hearty CRAFTED CURRY FEAST which comes with: *A PROTEIN (chicken, lamb, paneer (cheese), chana (chickpea) masala, or malai kofta (potato dumplings)) *RICE Your choice of NAAN (original or garlic), lacha paratha (layered flatbread), or basmati rice, and *a CUCUMBER/TOMATO SALAD. This feast could be good enough for 2 meals. Then their Samosas are a perfect snack and deal with 3 pieces for $3 to $5 and your choice of chutney. I enjoyed their Original Potato & Pea flavor as well as their Spinach Paneer option. Then to drink, their refreshing and creamy Mango Lassi is just the right combination of tart and sweet. All of this has me rolling in the Deep! NOTES/TIPS: **Plenty of parking in their own lot. **Wheelchair-accessible. **Order for pick-up or delivery through Seamless.

C
Cyndi Wilson

The best part is that your food is prepared individually..which causes the challenge - excessive wait times. Uses kiosks for ordering (somewhat temperamental), especially when it says that a Lassi is not available and you can see it! I expect service will improve in the future.

A pretty cool spot for delicious and fairly-priced Indian food. My constructive comments after my first visit: 1-food could've been hotter (temperature) and 2-the music played during my visit is all wrong for the vibe of the space and the cuisine. The classic rock and pop songs were very distracting in a place that would be much better served with some lounge/club music or some type of Indian fusion sounds.

A
Agnostic Neo

Very modern setup but the user interface of the screen on which order can be placed, is confusing. Staff is helpful, helped us to place order. Food is OK. It seems that food is cooked somewhere else and reheated at the restaurant.

Edit-Gave place another chance. Food wss actually very good. Food was prepared in front of you. Would go back when in the mood for Indian cuisine. 1st post-The place was open, but not one was there to take your order. That's right. The open sign was there and the door was not locked. No one came out from where ever they were to take my order. Just crazy!

I recently visited Deep Indian Kitchen and honestly I had very good experience. The food taste is really authentic, proper Indian style, not too oily and not bland like some other places. You can clearly feel they are using good quality ingredients and fresh masalas. I tried a few items and everything was well cooked and full of flavor, especially the curries and starters. The portion size is also very reasonable for the price, which I really appreciate. Many Indian restaurants reduce quantity, but here it was satisfying. The place was clean and well maintained, and the ambience was nice for both dine-in and takeaway. Staff members were polite and helpful, patiently explaining the menu and giving suggestions. Even when the restaurant was little busy, they were managing customers properly without attitude. Food came on time and was served hot. Overall, this is a very reliable place if you are craving real Indian food with good taste and consistency. I would definitely recommend Deep Indian Kitchen to anyone looking for homely yet restaurant-quality Indian food. I will surely visit again.

The food was good, but the experience of actually getting my food was bad. An employee gave my food away to the wrong customer and I had to wait for them to remake the food. This caused some of the items to be cold when I finally was able to eat. It seems like they need more training. However, I do want to add that Kendall assisted us in getting the correct order and did everything he could to ensure we left satisfied. He seemed to be the only one who was confident in his work/knowledge and it showed in how he handled the situation. Also, for the price the portions were kind of small. As well as, on the online ordering menu the "samosas" category doesn't specify how many it comes with. The order of 2 wasn't enough for me and my dad and we had to order more. All in all, when the place has been open longer I would go back.

Food is pretty good!! But you will have to wait for 50 min to 1 hr for your 3 items. Which is very frustrating. If you dont want to wait for your food this is not the place.

Did take out and it was very disappointing. The portions are really small and they did not provided Naan with the order. Service also takes forever to prepare the food and prepare it wrong. Never going back here. It is not worth it.

I wanted to like this place but walked away unimpressed. I went on a Friday afternoon and place was empty. I ordered a lamb biryani via kiosk. It took some time but what I got was rice with lamb on top. It was not a biryani. Nor did it taste like it. You cannot pass rice with lamb as biryani. At least not for me.

I ordered online. Let me start off by saying the food is on point. HOWEVER. The portion size is that for a small child and not a grown woman with a chunky girl living inside of her. After spending a considerable amount of money, the portion was very small. I was highly disappointed. But the food is delightful.

Food is good. Parking situation is horrible. I don’t understand how the restaurant could be empty and yet the parking spots are completely filled. Must be the workers from the warehouse. THIS NEEDS TO CHANGE! It’s ridiculous that I have to park at the rear of the lot when the place is EMPTY.

On December 5th, I accidentally ordered six samosas through the kiosk when I only intended to purchase three. I immediately requested a refund but was told that only a manager could approve it, and no manager was available. My contact information was taken, and I was assured someone would follow up. After several days with no response, I contacted the store and spoke with Caroline, who again took my information and promised that a manager would reach out. Despite multiple follow-ups and nearly a week passing, no manager contacted me. I eventually went to the restaurant in person, where I learned that refunds were not being issued at the time. I also never received the samosas I had paid for. Caroline ultimately resolved the issue and was very helpful, unlike the general managers, who failed to communicate or address my refund request.

My first visit but, not my last! I ordered take out. I must compliment the staff. I give them a 5! My meal was delicious. That said, I love spicy food but, since this was my first experience with Deep, I went bold and ordered the “one pepper” spice level (vs. “as is”). Everything was perfectly cooked. The spinach samosa was delicious. But, I was surprised the one pepper spice level was too much for me! Surprising, as I have always embraced hot Indian dishes. I cooled it with a lovely rose 😂. Lesson learned! I will order “as is” next time. And, there will definitely be a next time! This is a new Indian food go-to for me!

The first time was Thursday around 1pm. It wasn't even busy. We didn't know we had to order our food on the Machine and the Lady wasn't as nice when she Stated " you placed your order on the machine" which is located on the other side of the restaurant 🙄 that's where professionalism falls in. Knowing how to direct the customer and speak to them. I was impressed to see the restaurant wasn't run by Indian people. The place is clean, but you barely see any workers, especially to clean up after the customer. Not even a manager came out to see how everything was coming along. The food came out Hot and They do not bring the food to your table. You have to pick it up at the front where the Lady refused to take our order. We wasn't even offer any beverages to drink ( we had our own drinks on hand) The chairs are very uncomfortable. The SAMOSAS we ordered came with Two and they were big and Hot. The Garlic Naan was also a descent size. The beans taste good.

Tatse was average. I would say it is average food nothing so special except if you are looking for cheap options.

Frozen food reheated. I had lamb briyani. The meat was still slightly frozen! Stay away unless you don’t care for TV dinners!

The food is frozen (reheated before serving) and not that delicious. Lamb Biryani was cold and dry. When we asked them to heat it up, we still ended up getting icy cold rice with warmed up lamb (maybe didn’t defrost well) We tried to return the biryani, but were asked to come back the next day before 3pm to meet the manager. The server finally agreed to exchange the biryani for some packaged snacks. Not worth the hype.

To me food is not fresh. Even though it was not crowded it took a while to be self served. I think they make one veggie biryani later top it with paneer masala or chicken or whatever u ask for .biryani tasted like sev puri 🤔🤔 Ended up stomach upset after . they charge $2 for a few ounce of Raitha. Very small portion of pakora. Moreover nothing different item on the menu. Same boring menu 😌😌

This is not Biryani! It’s overcooked rice with nothing more than chili pepper and maybe some cayenne. I don’t taste traditional masala at all! Even the color was off! The chicken wasn’t fresh either. It wasn’t bad but it reminded me of 2/3 day old food from the fridge. Same for the paratha which was bland and stale

The restaurant was very clean and kiosks ready to take faster orders. The presentation on the plate was nice. However, the taste was not good at all. It didn’t have a taste at all. It tasted like spices but nothing flavorful or savory. Very disappointing especially getting charged extra for lamb and combo. No thank you. Please do better with seasoning the food along with the traditional spices. Signed me—Tania Simone

We had such a bad experience at this place. I went with my friend and her family to eat here and she forgot her purse. Within 10 mins, we went to the restaurant again to get her purse back but they said it is not here. It has all her debit, credit cards, DL, car key etc. She immediately started getting fraudulent alerts on her debit and credit cards. We called 911 and police arrived, and my friend was on the phone with the bank to cancel the cards, the fraudulent alerts were still going on. We got to know it is all happening from very close location from us from a tracking device in her purse and we were providing info the staff but the restaurant staff was not co-operating at all. Moral of the story is, please don’t go here.

Union Location: Had ordered a pick-up and while handing over my order the paper bag they use tore and the lady dropped the bag. The boxes feel on the floor and she just picked up the boxes and put them in another bag and gave it to me. When I pointed out that the food started dripping out of all the containers, her and the cook took the boxes away to where they thought I could not see them, opened the boxes, with their hands tried to separate the food, did a sloppy job as it was visible when I got the containers back. I didn’t want to start an argument, but I took him the food and just dumped it coz I didn’t know what else they did with the food. For the other bag, it started tearing as soon as I picked up and when I asked for another paper bag, the guy was pretty rude about it. Also, I had my toddler with me and the cook guy was rude to him as well. Hope the business takes notice and takes the necessary actions!

Service is very disappointing, just went there now 1:18 pm, May 26,2025. The guy that was there is very sarcastic the way he treated a customer is not acceptable,he is being disrespectful. Instead of helping the costumer, they treat them stupid and bullshit. So disappointed, that's why maybe u only have one customer eating bec of your crew! Did not even order yet bec of his attitude!!! 0 reviews for service!!!

Follow instructions exactly and plastic container (chicken tikka masala)cracked/melted. No way I could eat this because not only did it make one hell of a mess, it also has goodness knows what in it. What kind of chemicals leached out into the food once this plastic melted? Who knows but this is the second time this has happened so it is not a fluke.

Check your bag if you order take out. Half my order was missing, I discovered this when I got home. The food was decent, but basically it’s frozen food heated up. The entree portion was extremely small. Leaving the parking lot is treacherous because shopping center entrance is across the street and cars are blasting around the corner from Rt 22. Support your local family owned Indian restaurant rather than this disappointing place.

Multiple issues with this place -food is prepackaged and heated up -mango lassi comes in a plastic bottle -even while dining in you eat out of a plastic container and are given plastic utensils -food was spice level 2 but had no spice - not clear instructions on ordering, I stood at front desk for 5 minutes before being told to go to back of store for kiosk ordering -chairs have no backs making it an uncomfortable seating arrangement - food gave me stomach ache. Had the feast with lamb spinach curry.

I have been coming here since the store opened. The service used to be really good. I only order dried goods online to pick up. Usually it’s ready and waiting. Today was not the case. The lady behind the counter was not paying attention and only doing 1 order at a time. My order was placed at 7:00 and said pick up at 7:10. I saw she was doing stuff and waited. But after It turned 730 I went up to the counter. She started asking the guy behind me about his order and didn’t even acknowledge me. And I know she couldn’t miss me cause I was standing in front of her. The guy behind even apologized cause he didn’t realize no one took care of me. I put my stuff on the counter and my order was placed online- can I get a bag. And she didn’t listen that I said my order was placed online and proceeded to ring it up. I said my order was already paid for. Can you just give me a bag. My order was supposed to be ready at 7:10. I didn’t leave until 7:40. This has never happened before. She didn’t even apologize or acknowledge. She seemed to be taking her time and not paying attention to the orders coming in or the people walking in the door. If that type of service persists your business will close. Others in the line heard me and said jeez. They couldn’t believe it. So it’s safe to say please have more people in front on a Friday night or someone experienced to handle the volume.

A Night of Nightmare: A Cautionary Tale at [Deep Indian Kitchen (Union)] I recently had a horrific experience at Deep Indian Kitchen that has left me traumatized. My family and I were enjoying a meal when a series of unfortunate events unfolded. My husband went to order, and I realized I had left my purse on our table. While we waited for our food, I went to the counter to retrieve it. Unfortunately, I forgot to return to our table before we left. To my horror, I realized my mistake only ten minutes later. Upon returning to the restaurant, I discovered my purse was missing. I immediately began receiving notifications of fraudulent charges on my credit and debit cards. Panic set in as I realized I had lost my car keys, license, and a significant amount of cash my mother had given me for my birthday. I immediately called 911, and the police arrived promptly. While on the phone with my bank to cancel my cards, I discovered that the transactions were still occurring. A tracking device on my purse revealed its location nearby. Despite providing all the necessary information, the restaurant staff was uncooperative. They initially claimed to have no access to the security footage and insisted that the person with access was unavailable. However, after some time, the police were informed that the footage had been deleted from the server. This incident has caused me immense stress and anxiety. I lost valuable belongings, including my identification and cash. The fraudulent charges have been a significant financial burden. I am deeply disappointed by the restaurant's lack of accountability and transparency. I believe they are protecting someone involved in this incident. I urge potential customers to be cautious when dining at [Restaurant Name]. My experience has left me feeling unsafe and violated.

Horrible Staff and Terrible Service - TOTAL WASTE!! My food was ready, they gave me only a spoon for my Saag Chicken and Naan Combo, I asked for a fork and knife and the guy asked me why do I need it for and I should explain how I am going to eat my food using fork and knife. Seriously? Never had any such experience anywhere, fine dine or fast food joint. Will never go back. Forget about the food, the guy spoiled the mood and the experience, arguing with customers for one fork and a knife. Extremely rude and annoying. Chai was served cold and Naan was very hard (pre-cooked). These food franchises should understand that they can’t run their business like this. BETTER AVOID!

50 cents for ice. Really? It’s not the 50 cents that’s the issue, it’s the principle of charging for ice water when we’ve already paid for our meal.

The food was excellent—definitely deserving of 5 stars. However, I was highly disappointed with the service, so I can only give 1 star for that. I placed an order for three items through self-service and wanted to change one of them, the lassi. They requested me to fill out a manual form for a refund, and even after three days, I didn't receive any update. When I followed up, they offered to give me a lassi bottle instead of waiting for the refund. I agreed, but they handed me a bottle that had expired a month ago. Please double-check the quantity when ordering lassi, as they offer family-sized bottles. Also, be sure to check the expiration date on the counter.

They do not cook fresh, seems like they warm up the frozen food from their frozen ready to heat and eat meals. In other words robbing customers by charging 4 times higher then their frozen packets by serving the same

Worst ever service and cheater people, Ordered Paneer tikka online to go at closing time, instead they provided chicken tikka which I realized after 30 minutes reaching home, Took picture and threw food in garbage. Explained next day in person with picture/receipt and to my surprise they didn't believe me and instead called me cheater with suggestion to come back with original food to prove in future. Was coming here since last few years but never again.

This is not Indian food. It’s frozen and reheated food. Mr Deep should know that you don’t add peas on Lamb biryani. This is disrespectful to Indian food. I left half of my food on the plate. Do yourself a favor drive a little further and find some good Indian food in Edison or Jersey city. Don’t disrespect my food.
