A place with excellent ambiance and equally excellent food. Friendly indoor and outdoor spaces, you can choose from all day breakfast menu or their lunch specials. Both the salmon burger and the soup+falafel wrap lunch combo were fresh, delicious. Service is really outstanding! Also, not unimportantly, it is an environmentally conscious place - glasses cups, no straws, maybe the dips could also be served in non-plastic containers 💚🌿

They have a breakfast special before 10am which is very filling and delicious, you can get a pancake and eggs done the way you want it plus a coffee or a tea to make a wholesome and delicious and budget friendly breakfast and it’s my new go to place for a delicious breakfast. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly and not crowded and I enjoyed the decor and the the vibe of it where it makes me want to dine in next time to experience the service and see all other people coming in. I’d recommend this place for breakfast since I have not tried other things. The portion size was good and taste of pancakes was great.

Many people recommended this place to me, and I finally got a chance to come today. The servers were very nice and friendly. I had a “Taste of Tel Aviv” to start the meal. It was slightly sweet and minty. Very refreshing. It was very good! I also got a babaganoush with pita and fish and chips. Both items weren’t on the menu, but upon request. They do have it, but just not on their current menu. The babaganoush was very nice. It had a minor charred flavor, and balanced between sweetness and savoriness. The pita was slightly crisp on the outside, but soft on the inside. It was very nice. The fig and chips were nice, but just average nice. It came with 5 small pieces of cod fillets and French fries. The fish was fresh, and the batter was light and crispy. It came with lime and not lemon, but it was nice. Overall, it was a nice spot for a quick bite. They serve breakfast all day long!!!

Came here because I saw it's kosher and had great reviews — and I’m really glad I did. The staff was super friendly, and despite other reviews mentioning long wait times, my food came out quickly, even with a private event happening by the bar. The service was still impressively fast, PJ was amazing! The food was very fresh and flavorful — exactly how it should be. It’s been a while since I found a kosher spot, so I’m happy I discovered this one, they offer both indoor and outdoor seating. The menu is big, with lots of great options. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Food is so fresh and always delicious! It honestly feels healthy which is rare to find in a brunch restaurant. Atmosphere and vibes are A+ — the staff is super sweet, and it’s not too loud for a conversation :) Prices are also very reasonable for the quality of the food (also rare in the UES).

Amazing kosher dairy brunch and breakfast spot. The food is always yummy! The ambiance in the place gives off chill shuk vibes, the service is great and food comes fast. I literally go once a week minimum.

Overall the food and service was very good. The grilled fish sandwich, vegan shawarma wrap and veggie omelet were great. Side salad was light and it was just the right amount of food for lunch. The spicy fish sandwich was a little bland-the breading needed a little more seasoning.

New favorite spot! There's an outdoor seating area as well. Food is really good and actually decently priced. Great for a breakfast/brunch spot. Service was great the waitresses are quick and friendly. I'll definitely be coming back!

Very nice owner and waitresses. Great coffee. No flat white on the menu, but they made it for me. I was not a fan of bagels, but their warm bagel with tuna salad... perfect! There are friendly locals and their dogs too to warm your heart. Pretty restroom. No photo about the bagel, sorry...

This place is a gem in NYC since they offer good food with affordable prices. The portions are definitely not huge but they are reasonable. I had the goat cheese omelette and my aunt got Effy's breakfast with 2 eggs. The place is always busy in the mornings but service is quick and efficient. Most dishes come with sides and are vegetarian, which is nice too.

The waitress works so hard, she's tending to the entire cafe on her own. The food is spectacular for SUCH a reasonable price. 3 appetizers for $20 - say yes to the Motz sticks their AMAZING. Not to mention their fish & Chips are SO good and battered. Too bad those hateful protestors can't take a second out of their angry lives for a bite at Effys, they'd certainly see what they're missing out on

Absolutely love Effy's Cafe! The coffee was excellent, the Avocado Toast Platter were delicious, and everything tasted incredibly fresh. The service was friendly and welcoming, and the relaxed vibe makes it a perfect neighborhood gem. Highly recommend!

We came here for brunch. Coffee was good. Overall, food was good. Servers were somewhat disconnected from customers, taking their time to return to the tables. Perhaps because they were too busy. The interior decor is clean and inviting. They had a few tables outside for those wanting to dine outdoors.

One of my favorite places but please stop cutting portion sizes and making substitutions with no warning, it's making customers very angry, and it's very noticeable. Half a cup/container full is not acceptable behavior.

The veggies were inconsistently cooked (some were raw while others were cooked) and the iced tea was small, $3.50, no refills. One of the servers had a cough and was turning his head away but not making any effort to cover it. They have wifi and offer a discount if you pay cash.
