Lashevet is a fabulous Mediterranean restaurant. Friends invited us to join them for dinner and everything we ate from their homemade hummus and tabbouleh salad to delicious salmon and chicken kabobs were outstanding. They have great wines, beers as well as “ House Cocktails “ all reasonably priced and served in a very intimate dining area. We LOVED our dinner and look forward to returning soon.

Wow place! I loved it so much! Food was really felt like cooked by family! Chef came out and explained everything! Btw he speaks 5 languages and was learning how to cook in France! Perfect cute little hidden gem of Upper East Side❤️

I heartily recommend this restaurant for anyone wanting a great meal in an intimate, friendly setting. Lola and her team have created a terrific menu blending Israeli and Middle Eastern cuisine served by a staff who cares. We recently took over the restaurant with large party, which can be challenging. The team put amazing energy into the food, service and experience. Our group raved about the time there.

One of the best restaurants in the UES!! The food at Lashevet is incredible - from the falafel pita to the lamb burger (drool) to the delicious kebabs and beyond. Everything is outstanding. Plus, I love that the staff here are always warm and welcoming, as is the inviting the decor. If you’re looking for a phenomenal meal with a great vibe - this is the spot!

Settle in For an amazing meal at @lashevet_nyc ! “Lashevet” is Hebrew for “to sit” or “to settle” and you’ll want to sit at this cozy, intimate, adorable restaurant all night! I got to try some of the best middle eastern food, including 🍹 Moroccan mojito - Bacardi Rum, House-Made Moroccan Tea Syrup 🥗 Salatim Mezze - “salatim” is Hebrew is “salads” and while these might not be your traditional bowl of lettuce, they are great on their own or as dips with fresh bread 🍅 Zaalouk - tomato, eggplant, garlic, olive oil, & spices 🍆 Babaganoush - charred eggplant, lemon juice, tahini, & paprika 🥕 Spicy Beets & Carrots - lemon juice, mascal vinegar 🧅 Hummus - chickpeas, tahini, lemon juice & spices 🥩 Lamb Meatball Skillet with cherry tomato sauce, saffron, green peas 🍢 Shipudei (Kebabs) Lashevet - served with basmati rice, roasted tomato, cauliflower, brussels sprouts + shepherd’s salad 🍗 Chicken 🥩 Lola Lamb 🧆 Falafel 🍷 Red Wine 🫖 Moroccan Tea with mint, ginger, lime 🍰 Blueberry Basbousa Cheesecake - an Israeli style cheesecake that’s dense like pound cake and sweetened with basbousa syrup

My girlfriend and i went for dinner and the food was really amazing. The baba was delicious. The chicken kebab dish was amazing every single thing on the plate was awesome. I would advise to use the spicy sauce on your fork and then eat the rice. Was awesome. The pic showed after we split. But very filling but not heavy too. Jewel rice was solid as was dessert.

I ordered a taste of Jerusalem and house Moroccan tea. Both taste really great. I really love the Moroccan tea! Hospitality is outstanding. I came here for solo dining, but I will bring my children next time since they have high chairs.

Authentic, delicious, fresh Jerusalem food. Amazing food, wonderful service, nice setting, you can't go wrong. A fantastic experience that I'll repeat soon.

Absolutely exceptional meal and service. The mezze dips were delicious, possibly the best hummus I have ever had, and the bread was amazing, fresh and warm. I could have just eaten that all night, but somehow each course made the meal even better. The strip steak was to die for, cooked perfectly and the marinade was exceptionally delicious. Again, possibly one of the best steaks I have ever had (and it was a very generous portion). After learning of the chef’s pastry skills we tried a delicious crème brûlée and a fruity house cake and St. Germain to top it all off. This was a meal to remember, and huge bonus that the staff and owner/manager were so lovely.

Actually I was passing by looking for a pizza place for lunch, but the place is very clean and inviting so I decided to try. Had a tabouleh salad which was different… the ones I had before have the tomato and parsley and the bulgur over but mostly is the tomato and parsley but this one was a lot of bulgur (like a rice bed) mixed with the parsley and tomato… to be honest I was happy because it felt more filling and if you are in a diet or vegetarian it is great (sustainable) also have a bureka (I hope is right which is a pastry filled with spinach ( there was with mushrooms or cheese ) it was delicious and my matcha! Alexander the waiter was super nice and friendly. Place has a nice vibe. He told me they are open for dinner as well and handed me the menu which is different from the day one. I noticed they have a little cozy pato as well. I’ll be back for dinner as well. It was simply THE BEST!!

I ordered the octopus and the salmon and both dishes where amazing. The octopus plate reminded me so much of my mom’s home made fish stew! The salmon came with a fried goat cheese, roasted cauliflower and beets and I must say all that was in the plate was mouthwatering. Finally I ordered basbusa as dessert and it was the perfect finish for all the food. I can’t wait to come back and taste all the other plates they have in the menu! The service was also very attentive and sweet. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone

I have lived in NYC since 1994 and I have eaten in many restaurants all over the world. My husband discovered this restaurant recently in our neighborhood and I am so happy he did. I have already been there twice and can’t wait to go back. Not only the food is delicious and made with fresh ingredients, but the service and hospitality are outstanding. Our whole family enjoyed our dinner so much, my grandchildren asked for seconds and loved the delicious bread. If you want to eat food that tastes like homemade, not to mention the amazing desserts this restaurant has on their menu you must try it!

Very cute spot on the UES! Loved the taste of Jerusalem, and the falafel sandwich came with kale and red cabbage and it was deeelicious! Also their Moroccan tea is spot on — first time I’ve had it and it was refreshing and soothing!

A taste of the Middle East on the Upper East Side! We started with Moroccan tea, then had delicious humus with warm bread. Our main courses were the lamb burger and jeweled rice. Both amazing! The staff is super friendly and hospitable. You feel like you are eating at a friend or relative’s house! Love this place.

Warm staff, pretty plates. Lola and co explained the food prep and made us feel welcome. The hummus was hearty and from fresh ground ingredients. Went great with a basket of warm soft pita and beigele to wipe it up with. Dishes were yummy owing lots to the soft basmati rice that melted in our mouths and zesty salad.

What a charming cafe/restaurant. I was walking my dog and saw that it had floor to ceiling windows -which enabled me to have coffee inside, while my dog sat outside (it was a beautiful, unseasonably warm day). The manager and waiter were friendly. I had a latte and a delicious pastry (Basbousa St, Germain) which they said was made in house. I'm looking forward to returning soon for a meal.

Really delicious meal! We were disappointed that they didn’t have their burekas available on Sunday morning - this was the real reason we came in. We enjoyed the mezze platter to share which was perfect. The eggplant was very delicious! The lashevet coffee was like a coffee slushie, DEF overpriced at $7.50.

Really charming little spot with helpful staff and a back garden. The food was good and they were happy to help me figure out my gluten free options. I was a little surprised that a single cup of mint tea was $6, but otherwise the prices seemed reasonable.

A charming little restaurant with very friendly staff. The decor was very middle eastern and warm/inviting. The food was fairly good and was served on colorful dishes. We waited for 45 minutes for our drinks and had to ask for them after our food had already come out. The food also took a while to come out too. Service was overall slow. The seasonings they had out on the tables were very nice; za’atar, salt, and paprika. Hope this helps!

Lashevet was disappointing. I really wanted to like this place. The ambiance promised a real Middle Eastern experience. The waitress was really nice and the prices were reasonable. Unfortunately, we did not like the food. The Jerusalem bagel was dry, the vegetables did not look fresh, and we did not like the kebbe. The only item we enjoyed was the Lafa with chicken.
