The food was delectable. The drink and beer menu is extensive. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and they went out of their way to accommodate us. We went with seven people and everyone loved the place.

Wow....very nice surprise. ...great menu items .....very unique and not your basic. ...the tuna tartar over rice pizza was off the charts as well as the fried pickles, Brussel sprouts, chicarrarones and shredded ox tail.

Great beer selection, with some amazing local crafts and micro brews and some good food to boot. Alittle on the pricey side (saying between 7-10$ per glass) but definitely well worth the few extra dollars for some good drinks and good food.

Love this place. In a really good spot near the water and in the dowtown of atlantic highlands. The food is absolutely delicious, but the real highlight is their beer selection. One of the best in nj. A lot of local stuff and tons of different styles.

Gaslight a wonderful place. The food, the beer options and the looooong bar make it a great place to socialize, watch games or just chill out. Beautiful building too! This is a good kinda place where you can be regular.

Great place to have a drink and listen to the band. We went there to hang out with our friends and had a great time. The place is small but very cozy. We order burgers and toasted jalapeño cesar salad which was amazing. The only thing is that there is no sign of the name of the bar on the outside so we had to trust Google map which thankfully took us there. Parking is challenging there so get ready to walk.

This place is absolutely fantastic. My wife and I were so upset they closed during the pandemic, and were so stoked when we found out they reopened. The space is beautiful, they have an outstanding taplist of local brews, and the bartenders were super-friendly. Smash burgers were top-notch. So glad they're back!

This is the local bar/restaurant that every town needs. Tons of beer selection, the space itself is really cool and the food is actually really damn good. I've gotten probably a half dozen things off the menu and everything has been delicious. I even did a pick-up order of steak and roast chicken. Wow. Perfectly hot when I got it home and WAY more delicious than it had any right being. This is my new local go-to.

We stumbled on this spot and were instantly interested in this spot because of the craft beer selection. While quiet because we were there at and early time, staff was friendly and talkative. Beer was great. Initially we were looking for seafood and started with the sushi tuna pizza, GREAT START! Then the bartender recommended the cheesesteak. Coming from Philly spots, I'm picky. This was so good. The food was higher quality twists to classic sandwiches and entrees. My only suggestion is to go a little lighter on the truffle oil for the fries. Delicious, but a little heavy. Would totally go back!

The biggest tap beer menu around. Great food and good service. We ordered mussels and lamb burger. The mussels were good, but the burger was great. Topped the dinner with beeramissu and a couple of hot cocktails. Loved everything.

Excellent craft beer selection and a nice spacious bar with comfortable seats and big screen TVs. Food is quite good. A lot of variety on the menu, with a good amount of healthy options to choose from. Loved the chicken and waffles (not a healthy option, but worth it! )

Gave this place a try via a recommendation from a local friend and was beyond satisfied. Great craft beer selection, friendly and efficient staff, and the food is absolutely delicious. This place is a must go. Fantastic food, atmosphere, and service. Micro-brew "exotic" beer on tap is a HUGE bonus. The decor of the old bank building adds to the overall experience as well. The only, and I mean only negative thing I could say is ..the one at a time bathroom may present some issues if everyone breaks the seal around the same time ;) Dont pass this place up.

The service is always amazing! I love their selection of beers, there's so many to choose from and the staff is knowledgeable about the beers too if you can't choose. I absolutely love the food! If you're there and they're making the oxtail nuggest, get them! The tacos and lamb burher are perfect. 10/10 would go back every chance I have

I love every visit here. Erica is the absolute best and her knowledge and background in beer make her an absolute asset to this bar. The beer taps have, once again, become a great assortment of overall treats. If she's behind the bar, I guarantee you are getting something you will enjoy or enjoy something you might have thought you wouldn't. The food is always really good and I'd recommend pairing this with a visit to Carton Brewing or Belford Brewing. Cheers!

Amazing place to go for lunch and dinner. Great food and craft beer on tap. Friendly and attentive staff. I have a sensitive stomach and the food here is all fresh and never bothers me. I’d recommend the grilled chicken entree! My only complaint is the closesness of the tables, so if you have personal space issues this isn’t a place for you.

What a great night at the Gaslight! Pat was on point! After my first 2 beers, he was attentive to the point of being able to suggest my next 2 beers which did not disappoint! I love that kind of service! Great beer selection, great food, great service is a recipe for a great time! Thanks Gaslight!

Very good tap list and the food is amazing. The brussel sprouts appetizer was a meal in itself and the to oil added a unique and delicious twist. The grilled oysters we just amazing as was the crabby patty and the fish and chips

Food was good But was disappointed. It's not the same place as the old galight. Very limited menu. And only a quarter of the beers on tap as compared to the old gaslight. Came back here because I missed the old menu. Was very disappointed when I saw a new menu.

Love going to this place! The Tipple Play band always makes it a great experience. Bring back the chicken cheesesteak’s, please!

This is a wonderful place with a great vibe. A few weeks ago, we invited a bunch of friends to join us for dinner & celebrate a birthday. We enjoyed the delicious food & tapped our feet to the awesome music of a local band called The Fish Eyed Blues Band. We danced, ate, drank, & had a blast! Excellent, friendly service. Perfectly poured drinks with so many options to choose from. Although the menu is limited, the food was fresh & delicious. Our large group tried just about everything on the small menu but the picks that stood out were the Nachos with Chorizo, the Smash Burger with extras, the Ahi Tuna tacos (3) with Avocado, & the mouth watering, saucy Chicken Wings. We'll definitely be back very soon!!!

Very cool spot! Check it out if you're in town and looking for some yummy food and a cool vibe. Stuffed mushrooms were amazing! Tuna Taquitos and The smash burger were also home runs

One of the only dog friendly places we found. When I walked in, it looked like just a bar, but we were delighted to find out the service and food were fantastic. We sat outside and the server was top notch. Loved the smash burger! All of the food was great quality. And the selection of drinks was impressive.

We are so glad this place is finally back in business it was a favorite on trips back from Sandy Hook. Service was very attentive and the food was excellent, especially the special shawarma tacos. The Storm Martini's had just the right amount of heat from Tabasco and the Triple Hazy from Source Brewing was the best beer i've had in a while. We'll definitely be back.

We love this place! Food is super flavorful and I like the hyper-local beer selection. I didn't know Gaslight before this re-opening so I have nothing to compare against, but regardless, each thing we've tried we've really liked. It's a small menu and the plates are very basic - main item and bag of potato chips. But if you're a fan of quality over quantity, this is your place. It's lined with brick walls, so sound travels, but hasn't been a problem for us (sitting at the bar). Service has been super friendly. Place is decorated with photos / artifacts from town and area. Very cool.

Staff was very friendly and helpful, and good at reading when you needed attention vs when you wanted to be left alone. Food and drinks were a bit pricey but it was almost worth its weight, so to speak.

Good atmosphere, good beer selection, great food. The only bad thing was the poutine appetizer which was just Velveeta on top of fries. Everything else was great. Don't get the poutine.

Had a good night tonight. The beer was great and the food was good and service was great. I was pleasantly surprised as the last two visits have been less than stellar on the food and service front. This was my last try for anything besides beer, and I am happy to say I will be coming back again for a meal. Keep up the turn around in service and quality. This time the price premium was well justified. Hopefully not a fluke and I will be back again.

Food is very good and they have a nice selection of beers. Selection of other alcoholic beverages is lacking. From my experience, the service hasn’t been the greatest. The staff doesn’t put forth a whole lot of effort and is minimally attentive - at least the individuals I have encountered. This doesn’t necessarily deter me from going, but I just know this place could be even better!

The food was good! But it wasn't authentic. Friendly staff, lay back atmosphere. Good selection of craft beers from all over NJ!

Food is just ok. Brussel sprouts needed to be cooked a little longer and the steamed dumplings were cold. However the burgers and tacos were great. The drinks were awesome. Service and atmosphere was also awesome. They had a band the night we went. It's not a huge place, which is what I like. Great bar atmosphere.

This place is great. Great music and great atmosphere, but the service is still on the learning curve. My wife asked for a $14 wine that came served in a water glass. Also the bartender (guy not the girl) made one drink, tasted, felt something wrong and served anyway. Overall the place is nice.

Went here yesterday to watch football and have a Burger and a couple of beers and this place is perfect for that. They emphasize local craft beer from different area breweries so you get to try a good sampling! My burger was outstanding but, it may not be to everyone’s taste! Very chill atmosphere I’ll be back. The only reason I didn’t give them 5 stars is that I believe they need to expand the menu. Perfect venue for open mic night!

Really love this place, however, the last few times I’ve gone the hours don’t reflect when they’re actually open. Today I pulled up at 7:30 on Wednesday and they’re closed

They won't serve you a drink unless everyone in your party is seated. I need a drink not more stupid rules. Otherwise it was ok.

They're still getting back on their feet. Limited menu and painfully thin burger patties. Hopefully they'll improve over the course of the year.

Have enjoyed this venue numerous times. Kind of a regular. Have really enjoyed food, lamb burger, chicken tacos, both salads, many appetizers. Always order the Kentucky bourbon ale. Wonderful beer. Short ribs great and pasta. BUT yesterday, Mother's Day at 5 ish place empty and ordered two beers, walked to waitress and asked to change one of the beer orders to a white ale. Got special beef and broccoli. 25$ for beef dish and was upset when rec'd bill bec I was charged a fee of one dollar to switch beer before she started pouring. So, am now an unhappy customer. By the way, beef & broc was not med rare, but overdone and chinsey portion. Was enormously unhappy! Hope the one dollar goes a long way, cause this regular 2-3 times a week will be careful about her choice of eatery.

"I'm not trying to rush you!" We've been to gaslight a number of times, and enjoy the quirky offerings, the "right sized" crowd and the opportunity to sample some new beers. There's one hallmark of the place that reduces the charm however, and that is the relentless efforts to move you quickly through your visit. There must a huge sign in the back that says "Flip those tables!"

Disappointed- when I saw that Gaslight was back I was expecting the old restaurant that shut down during Covid. This place is a bar with a tiny menu and loud music (even at 6 pm…). All of the old staples from the previous menu are gone and the items left are lacking. Beer list is still good, mixed drinks are a little odd.

The service was super slow. The onion rings were too greasy. Edamame was fantastic. The chicken fundido dip was really good.

First the good. Beer selection was great. Lots of seasonal beers that are not often on tap as well as a good selection of local brews. Service was good, the server was knowledgeable about the beers and was able to steer my friend towards a good choice based on other beers he enjoys. Server was attentive, friendly, and personable. Now for everything else. We arrived around 4:30 and were informed the dinner menu (which was what we were provided) wasn't available until 5. The server then came back and asked if we wanted appetizers (which was confusing when we were just told the kitchen wasn't open. We decided to order an appetizer (more about that later) but then I noticed some people at the bar with a burger (from the dinner menu). Not a huge deal but slightly confusing. Food was boring and dry. Tried the wings and the burger. Wings were dry and needed to be doused in the sauces (hot and Korean bbq) to make them palatable. Sauces were unremarkable. Hot sauce seemed to be right out of a bottle. Burger was overdone when I cut into it (ordered medium), was dry, and lacked flavor. Bacon on the burger was not crisp and seemed reheated. Fries were pretty good and seasoned well but were brought down by how disappointing the rest of the food was. Food was definitely overpriced. I would consider going back for some drinks but would not order food.

Shrimp taco salty not full taco, beer was good but atmosphere dead they opened in June 2023 they need.a chef not cook with serious owner to build a great restaurant that’s needed

I used to like this place in a previous iteration. It has opened and closed so many times it has become very unreliable. The saddest thing is that the bartenders are very rude and dismissive; I hope they can find their way. If you want menus literally thrown at you then this is the place for you.

Let me start by saying, the bartenders and service are awesome. Love them. The food here is also very good. However, we had a party here recently and everyone paid $40+ for a "catered" food experience. I blame the owner for being extremely cheap because he thought he was going to lose out on money. We brought a ton of business in to them and they COMPLETELY underserved us. $40/person should have paid for 4 smash burgers each per person, instead they cut up a handful of them into fours for our entire party (40+ people). Everyone in the party went home hungry. Would've been better off to just go there and pay for food individually.

Just ordered a simple Smashburger and asked for the onion rings instead . I was told i would have to order the basket of fries and onion rings extra if i wanted them. Burger was suppose to come with fries. Didnt get the fries in plate nor were there any fries in basket. Burger over cooked,, rings were crusty hard. Ketchup in a plastic covered finger bowl. Dinner with meal and beer cost me close to $50 with too generous of a tip included Really disappointed with my .neighborhood bar
