Casa Bond NoHo has some of the best Mexican food I have had in a long time. In the pictures below, I ordered the Quesadilla De Langosta and the Suadero Tacos. Each dish was bursting with flavor, it was plated beautifully, and came to the table hot. They also made my Devil’s Margarita correctly, too. My waitress was so patient with me as I tried my best to pronounce the titles of each dish. The staff were friendly, observant, and attentive to each customer. I would highly recommend this restaurant and will come again, and again.
We didn't have a reservation on February 14, but they accommodated us instantly in a packed restaurant. Our waiter was very attentive although it was crowded. The entire staff we encountered were very friendly and nice. We shared a few appetizers to start. The ceviche was truly amazing delicious, and nice presentations!! Portions were big. Good cocktails selection. Desserts looked delicious. Omg the cocktails are awesome hit the spot. We can't wait to go back and try other dishes. I highly recommend the mezcal Chocolate
My girlfriend and I decided to celebrate Valentine’s Day at Casa Bond and we were pleasantly surprised by the service and the quality of the courses/cocktails. We had never been here or even heard of the venue but it made sense after our time there because it is brand new. Our server was very attentive and did a great job describing the 5 courses throughout the duration of our visit, she also made great recommendations for cocktails. By the end, we were greeted and thanked for our patronage by a man named Luis (unsure his position but we assumed owner/GM)! Thank you for the shots and we will definitely be back! Cheers 🙏🏼
Food is definitely to come back for. The steak and shrimp taco will be the best taco of your life. Super focused in cocktails as competitive as the top 50 bars in New York. Elite level mixology. Kudos to Luis Villanueva who executes the beverage.
Made my visit on a slow Tuesday night. Kitchen times seemed off, but we weren't in a hurry, so we just enjoyed our night. It started off with fresh guacamole and a nice chorizo fundito. Both were prepared perfectly. For our mains, we had the shrimp and steak tacos and enchilada suizas. Again, it is made perfectly. For dessert with finished with their tasty churos. We sat outside as the September weather was perfect. The inside was beautiful. The bar was fully stocked with anything to satisfy your cocktail needs. Bathrooms were clean. The wait staff was top-notch and met our expectations. A friend brought us here, and we weren't disappointed at all
The mark of a great restaurant is when you're already excited about what you'll try when you come back. That's where my head was at after leaving casa bond. Fine dining Mexican, with familiar, but also elevated & unique flavors. They hit it out of the park with the best, most complex mole I've tasted outside Mexico, delicious salsas, fresh and warm tortillas, perfect esquites. And a staff that treated us like we've been invited into their home - thanks for the experience folks.
I’ve had Mexican food before but never like this! I was beyond impressed with this beautiful establishment. From the moment we walked in and was immediately greeted and seated. The decor was stunning but most of all our servers were simply amazing!! Valdinia and Camila. Valdinina make some great food recommendations, she was very knowledgeable about all the dishes and was very attentive during our visit. We also had a visit from the manager Luis who came over to say hello and see if we needed anything, You are taken care of throughout your time there. Great food and great service are always appreciated and I will definitely go back! Thank you to all the staff who made sure we had a great dining experience-you rock!!!!
Checked out Casa Bond last week. I went early and ate at the bar. Staff is wonderful. My spicy margarita was terrific and both the dishes that I ordered were delicious. I had the aguachile which is a combination of cooked and raw seafood served ceviche style. And then the bartender recommended I try the Chochinita Pibil which is a shredded pork shoulder with achiote paste, cured lime onion, habanero, chile tetemado. It was SUBLIME. I have added Casa Bond to my roster of favorites and will be back to work my way through the menu. Because I tend to eat early, I experienced a very chill vibe, music was good but not too loud etc. I cannot tell if the place gets rowdy later in the night but if you go in the 7-ish range it is perfect for dining with friends and being able to have a conversation.
If you want to experience some tulumish vives in Mexico, then this is the place to be. The cool vibes and friendly bartenders will not only mix your drinks but also educate you on tequila and/or Mezcal. Server was very attentive throughout the night, food tested so good and drinks were the perfect paring.
Had a great time here! Very good cocktails and food. The amazing bartender, Kadier Abrajan, added to an already great experience there!! Looking forward to going back with friends!!
What a fabulous spot!! My friends and I came here for a girls night dinner before going out, and it was the perfect place. The ambiance is sexy and trendy, and the food and drink menu has a great variety. There’s something for everyone! Great hospitality and service as well. Luis, the manager (in the photo), came over and personally greeted us and gave us free drinks! Luis and his team are doing an amazing job and can’t wait to be back.
Delish! Hosted a group of 30 here for my birthday. Staff was super accommodating with my group, printed me custom menus, and gave us a great deal for pre-fixe. Everyone enjoyed the food and set-up. Thank you Vivian & Luis at Casa Bond for making our experience great!
I held my bachelorette brunch here with 9 friends and we all had a great time. Service was wonderful. Food was tasty. And the space was trendy. They did not make us feel rushed and we were really able to catch up, relax and enjoy a delicious meal together.
The aguachile ceviche was extraordinarily good. The broth has complex, delicious layers of flavor, presumably from the 7 different dried and fresh chiles. The owner (?) said that the salt and spices are all imported from Mexico. Everyone from bussers to waiters were sweet, and a Mexicali was the perfect accompaniment.
Beautiful restaurant with delicious food and crafted drinks. Welcoming friendly staff and good atmosphere at a bar and restaurant.
Stop by to have a drink while waiting to go to a Soho debate. Love the look and feel of this new Restaurant. . Nice cocktail menu, drinks were delicious and bartender friendly and helpful. Everyone made us feel welcome. Will definitely be coming back to have dinner.
My wife and I have been coming to Casa Bond for nearly a year now, and it’s become one of our absolute favorite spots in the city. When we first moved to NYC from South Florida, we were on the hunt for a great margarita—and that search led us here. What started as a casual visit quickly turned into a regular tradition. Over time, we’ve had the pleasure of meeting the owners and getting to know the bartenders—who now feel more like friends. Casa Bond has truly become a second home for us. The drinks are incredible, always thoughtful and creative, with unique takes on the classics that keep us coming back. And the food? It’s outstanding. This isn’t the typical Mexican fare you might expect. It’s elevated, crafted with high-quality, authentic ingredients that highlight just how special this cuisine can be. We’ll always have a soft spot for this place. Whether we’re stopping in for a full dinner or just grabbing a drink at the bar, Casa Bond never disappoints. P.S. Happy hour at the bar is one of the best vibes in town—great prices and even better energy.
Dining at Il Buco felt warm and rustic, with rich Italian flavors that tasted carefully crafted rather than flashy. The cozy atmosphere made the whole meal feel intimate and memorable.
We had a wonderful anniversary dinner and look forward to going back next time we visit New York. Our server was excellent and informative, as was the bartender who was warm and welcoming and very helpful in selecting a sparkling wine. The ambience was perfect and romantic, the food was the best I can recall (and we dine out frequently). The flavors were just impeccable. We had the bikinis, veal chop and tagliatelle with black truffles. Salted caramel dessert was also lovely. A perfect evening.
Amazing and delicious. Great service and very kind staff. The dishes although strange to me at first were surprisingly delicious and perfect size. I tried the beef tartar, mini bacon wraps, mini sandwiches, steak and a pasta. Also tried their cake which I do not recommend as it was not tasty at all. Very dry, lacked any semblance of a cake except for the shape. I would describe it more so as an oily bread. Otherwise the main dishes were all super flavorful and yummy and I will definitely be back for those.
Excellent experience, delicious food. The halibut and flourless chocolate cake were perfectly executed. Special thanks to Patrick, who went above and beyond to make my dining experience enjoyable and memorable - very professional, welcoming, and gave great recommendations. Thank you Patrick!! 5 stars, will definitely come back
Hands down my new favorite restaurant in nyc. Price is super fair for what you are getting. Beyond the wonderful service and lovely atmosphere, you are getting fresh high quality ingredients. I am rarely impressed anymore when I eat in Manhattan because I feel like the ingredients don’t seem fresh, that is not the case with Il Buco. The kale Caesar salad is iconic for a reason, super flavorful and the vegetables are so tasty. To drink I had a strawberry spritz which was fabulous. We had the lasagnette and the spaghetti with lobster. Both pasta dishes were PERFECT. Each dish has deliberately crafted ingredients that come together in such a nice way. Then, we had steak and a baby chicken with stone fruit. The steak was cooked to perfection and the chicken was delicious. One again, the vegetables also really shine in all of these dishes because of the freshness. We finished with some cheesecake, chocolate cake and some complementary sorbet (it was my birthday). Our server was lovely, and it was a perfect meal. With an ever changing menu, I can’t wait to come back to try again. Probably the best meal I’ve had in years.
Amazing scallop and octopus! We ordered 3 different pasta (you can order half). We love the risotto the most. We also had the fish but it’s not that special to us. However the dessert are extraordinary. The pannacotta is amazing!! Would come back for the panacotta. Also the staff is very nice and helpful
Love this place! The decor the low key block. Really feels like something you would find in Italy. We had the fresh pasta with rabbit ragu which was delicious along with the salumi and octopus for starters. The octopus was cooked to perfection. Some of the best I have had but the fresh pasta was great. They could work on my selection of wines by the glass as most they had were not full bodied enough for me.
Excellent food and service. We went for dinner on a Saturday night and the place was packed! We did manage to sit at the bar, regardless. We had the salmon and a yellow gazpacho; both plates were delicious. I did not particularly like the lentils in combination with the salmon? But the fish was cooked to perfection! I also had a glass of white wine. Would definitely recommend this place!
We had made reservations here thinking it was their other location. What a great surprised! This warm, cozy and welcoming spot is visually delightful & delicious. Great friendly staff, the outdoors is just a warm extension from the interior. The food was like the dishes our grandma made. Yummy flavors that last all day and makes your tummy happy. The drinks are awesome too! Highly recommend it!
We have not been here in over a decade. We usually go to Il Buco Alimentari around the corner. It was a good spot for a 92 year old's birthday. She was happy. It did get a bit loud but we could still hear each other The breads are amazing. The waitress was lovely and gracious. Lovely olive oils. It's worth buying some from their store around the corner. I loved sitting next to the fresh vegetables! The food was fine. Compared to many of the places I've eaten in lately it wasn't dazzling, but it hit the spot. I think I like their other place better. I don't know if it's the same chef.
4.5 🌟Cozy dimly lit restaurant with dark wood features; we sat in the back near the kitchen which ended up being nice since it was away from most of the restaurant chatter. Highlights were the stracciatella, cavoletti (Brussel sprout salad with a nice vinegar dressing), cavolonero (perfectly dressed kale salad), skirt steak (the purple potatoes were also sweet and delicious), and the ricotta cheesecake was nice and light. Their take on the martini was also great, not what you normally associate a martini with, highly recommend.
The restaurant was very crowded but the service was good and fast. Our waitress was good and helpful, she didn’t disappear but she wasn’t bothering every 5 minutes. I think even a sommelier helped us, but not sure if she was a regular waitress. The wine list is huge so I think it’s necessary to have one here. The atmosphere of the restaurant is nice and romantic. Dinner with candles, although if your table is next to the kitchen forget about it because there is a lot of movement. My problem was that the food was underwhelming. Nothing was delicious, I think the chocolate cake was the best but that’s it. The portions were fine but the price vs the flavor was no worth it.
When you enter the restaurant and pass the bar area your pleasantly surprise by the set up. It is unfortunate the staff are unorganized and quite rude. Waited 10 minutes to order a drink and waited another 25 minutes before I received it. You will be asked repeatedly if you ordered and although you say no, no one ever takes your order.
Went for restaurant week. Sopa de tortilla was meh, not very flavorful and had cilantro despite us asking for no cilantro and the waitress saying that would be fine. Quesadilla looked good but it was underwhelming flavor wise. I've had better ones at cheap Mexican joints/carts. Gobernador was okay but again nothing very special. Looked better than it tasted. Think Los Tacos is better tbh. The cochinita pibil tasted the best out of what we had but still wasn't anything extraordinary. The dessert just seemed like a pretty mid cheesecake. Not bad but also not great. The cocktail was tasty, mostly tasted like juice if that's your kind of thing. The service was ok, they were a little overly attentive except for when it came time to get our check, then we had to flag someone down. Also disrupted our conversation a few times to refill our waters, which would be fairly minor but it was still annoying since we had our glasses to one side but they would fill from the opposite side, holding the jug in our faces. Overall, food looked impressive but the taste and flavor didn't meet expectations nor did it seem to match the price. They also have a credit card fee which I usually only expect at cheap spots/delis. Atmosphere was fine, wasn't too loud or dark/bright.
It truly pains me to give this restaurant such a low rating. I dined here with two friends last month and was warmly welcomed by the hostesses, which made the experience start on a promising note. Unfortunately, our server’s behavior completely undermined the evening. He was inattentive, visibly disengaged, and approached our table to take orders without so much as a greeting. The lack of professionalism was shocking for an establishment of this caliber. While the food was genuinely well executed and the ambiance warm and inviting, the service was so poor that it became the focus of our entire meal. For a restaurant positioned at this level, the experience we had was simply unacceptable
After opting for a safe choice with a group of friend last night who they all have previously ate at il buco , I was almost immediately made to regret our choice our waiter was very crude and border line rude maybe had something to do with him being mad having to still work at his age ? Whatever it was , was off and not a pleasant experience , then we put in our order starting with ricotta bread basket some olives cavolo nero all just ok , but when we got out pastas it was quite disappointed with the mussel which have no viscosity in there final plating and worse of all the mussel were very gritty and badly cleaned to witch I later made sure to notify our waiter who never even bothered asking us how's everything with our food ( as I proud italian I can definitely make that plate better at home ) then tagliatelle with truffle were mediocre at best with very middle of the line truffle that couldn't even really taste ! Fish was good and dessert again just ok these days when I go out I definitely want something extraordinary or at least a classic easy and alway good which last night was neither
Surprisingly underwhelming. We ordered the salumi and pane, as well as the burrata. They were all a bit stale and frankly the pasta with peas was just buttered pasta. Not really worth the value of the plates but the service was excellent and the atmosphere is cute and quaint. Wouldn’t recommend but everyone is different:)
Extremely loud. Drink was fine (NA) but the menu was underwhelming. The aguachile was not as described. The tostadas were utterly bland. And initially I was brought the wrong order, too.
The bartender made everybody feel uncomfortable. She lectured us and kept complaining that her shift just started. We had ordered a nice $200 bottle of wine and as soon as we finished, we left and went elsewhere for dinner.
