Been eating here for years and it's a miracle that with such an extensive menu ranging from parve to fleishig they're still able to get almost 90% of their menu right. I mean, I've had everything from their Chinese dishes to the shawarma to their impecable chicken soup and I'm always satisfied. Today I had the falafel and as usual it was the next best thing to booking a flight to Ben Gurion airport. And unlike their rival from the past Kosher Delight which was shut down for health code violations, Kosher Deluxe is always spotless.
Ordered the sesame salmon today, and the quality of the food is great, the speed is pretty good, they recently renovated so it looks nice if you want to eat on 46th, and you can call in or now order on the toast app (i've done both), they have a "heimisher hechsher" fleishig and parve and vegetarian Rav Amrom Roth, you can setup a corporate account, they have so many different options for many different palates. Chinese(sauteed), American(burgers, steaks, french fries etc), Deli Sandwiches(Pastrami, Turkey Etc), Mediterranean(Shwarma, Falafel etc), Catering menu for parties, Soups, Sides, Shabbos Shabbat menu, Nine Days menu, and drinks. What a place!
Kosher Deluxe in midtown Manhattan is amazing fast food. The food is always fresh!! The service is great and the staff is very friendly. Large variety of Glatt kosher from American to middle eastern food lots to choose from.
Amazing! Tasty! Great service. Friendly. We loved it. Hechser r amram roth. Since we bought for a large family they threw us in some nice bonuses on the house! Couldnt of asked for more! Go for it!
Freshly prepared varied menu. From Sushi to Shawarma. Deli to Chinese they really have it all. Excellent service most employees have been there for years.
A great place to eat and order from. The place is not only Glatt kosher, its also extremely clean. Tasteful decor , brightly lit, with ample seating. A really large menu with anything from salads, sushi, and swarmas topped with mango sauce ( I personally recommend) I’m not even Jewish, I’m Muslim and I come to eat here all the time. These guys also deliver. Parking is a real problem, but there are 2 parking garages on that block, But they overcharge because it’s Midtown Manhattan. They guys are on the ground floor and wheelchair accessible.
Great pastrami sandwich!
The best hot corned beef/pastrami sandwich in a very long time. You won't be sorry you came here. M - Texas
The best Shawarma and the best service. The staff is friendly and very professional. I definitely recommend the best Kosher Food in Midtown Manhattan.
Simple and good food , A little pricey, but you get really large portions, This is the place to go if you are starving and want to get a value for your buck.
Prices are a little high, but it's NYC Midtown Diamond District, so it's expected. Chicken Shawarma is available and really good. The guy running the back grill area is funny and nice.
I have been a customer of this store since 1998 back when they were on 45th street. Issaac has been running this store for years and he really cares. If you have any issues please let him know and he will respond positively.
Delicious fast food, amazing Chinese and the best shawarma station! Hot honey fingers are a must try!!
Food is fresh and delicious, delivered quickly and courteously. Great value too!
They have the most amazing Buffalo chicken sandwich. I ate it and went back right away to buy another one. Highly recommend.
Best food in NYC! Highly recommend the schnitzel sandwich! Their staff are also extremely kind and they have AMAZING customer service! I will definitely be coming back to this establishment!
I was looking at the way the staff handled every order. It was with absolute care, even though some of the staff does not speak English properly they still manage to provide exceptional customer service. The food here is absolutely great, I cannot even complain about anything. Whether I order online/over the phone/or in person my order alway comes out right and my food is properly packaged and handled.
Great service and food. SpACIOUS and quiet PLACE TO WORK on laptop or read a book. Thanks Gerardo for your amazing service. Kd 46 is great!
Best Shawarmas in town. Really glad I stopped by to eat there. Came back 2 days after the first time and it was great again. I live in Brazil and now I'm missing their Shawarma.... hope some day I get to visit you again!
They recently remodeled. Very nice inside. I can only really comment on the shawarma, it's amazing, get it in the laffa (it borders on too big for one person. Comes with salads that you can choose.
Fantastic restaurant that has every food imaginable. They have deli sandwiches, Chinese food, sushi, soups, shawarma, kabobs, and it's all delicious. Ingredients are very fresh and staff is very friendly. Prices are a bit high but it's worth it in my opinion. I got the hot pastrami and chicken shish kabob as well as the mushroom barely soup. All were delicious. Will definitely come back next time I'm in the area.
Wish I was eating something from this place now. Absolutely the best sandwich I've had In 2024. Thank great service great atmosphere and the staff is by far the best in the city. Thanks for an unbeatable meal.
Great kosher food midtown! The BEST Chicken & Matzo Ball Soup!
this place is a hidden gem for Shawarma. Really good quality chicken served with fresh salad and sauces. Highly recommended - you will be pleasantly surprised !!
"I had an exceptional dining experience at KD46 The service was top-notch, with friendly and attentive staff who made sure we felt welcome. The food was absolutely delicious, with fresh and flavorful ingredients that exceeded our expectations. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, with a great selection of music and decor that added to the ambiance. Standout dishes included the Shwarma and orange beef which were cooked to perfection. We can't wait to come back and try more of the menu! Highly recommend for anyone looking for a great meal in a warm and inviting setting."
Food was delivered faster than expected. The "track" app shows you exactly where the delivery person is, so you know where your food is at all times. Wonderful invention.
Good food, fresh as well. And good quick service.
I came in for a delayed lunch and found excellent options. Every employee spoke directly to my shy daughter. They cover many culinary bases with their selection. All my tastings have been wonderfully satisfying. All things considered, our meal was impressive.
My time at this restaurant was perfect. The worker shared knowledge but respected our conversation. Totally delicious and they give you plenty. My go-to place. The dishes satisfy with helpful service. I'll be returning often even when very crowded.
My son and I stayed in NYC for a few days down the street from KD46. I happened to walk by looking for a place to eat lunch. The service was great, the food was amazing and the menu choices made it hard to decide what to try. Everything was mad fresh and served with a smile. Even the nice man keeping the restaurant clean was pleasant and helpful. He joked with me and helped me decide what to try. We were only in town for 3 days, but needed up eating there 4 times. Well worth the price and if I’m back in NY again this will be on my list to visit again.
Great for a quick and kosher bite to eat. Lots of choices and very fast service. We love going here for a quick dinner before a show because it’s close to the theaters!!! Enjoy :)
Absolutely brilliant! Came in and wasn't sure how / what to order and the gentleman working there was so patient and polite helping us to understand the meal options. The shwarma keto bowl was hands down one of the best meals I've had in NYC for a very long time. Quick, easy, healthy, and so so tasty!
I haven’t been here in years. But this place got a lot better. they have the shawarma station. That’s mostly what the review is about. I made a mistake ordering. I ordered rice, they got it from the back, and then I wanted pita bread. So the rice was wasted. They gave it to me anyway which was nice. Employees here are very nice and portions are huge. All the plates in my half eaten pic were piled high with meat, rice and salad when ordering the plattter. Highly recommend
I have always been a fan of Middle Eastern food, even though I have no familiarity with what good, authentic Middle Eastern food is. So take my word with a grain of salt. But I recently picked up the falafel sandwich from Kosher Deluxe and was impressed with the flavors and texture. To me, a good falafel means that the chickpeas should shine, and the spices should still come through. Also, I've previously been disappointed with other places' falafels because they're under-salted. That's not the case at Kosher Deluxe. Plus, the prices are definitely so reasonable for New York City. You can walk out of here spending under $10 for lunch or about that much, and you can't say that for a lot of places here. The service wasn't anything super noteworthy, but it was fast and efficient, which I appreciated.
Ordered food for Shabbat to my hotel. Delivery was prompt and the food was good. My only complaint would be the price for what you get.
I got the falafel platter. Everything was fresh and the falafel and hummus themselves were good but was a little disappointed in the different salads, they were really salty and it overpowered the flavor
Awesome shwarma. Excellent location. It's a little pricey but kosher food, especially in the City, always is. The salads are authentic and remind me of the Middle East but the one that has jalapeno in it is perfect; hareef but flavorful so it isn't just about the burn. Looking forward to going back.
Relatevly OK prices food was OK
Went here for lunch to get shawarma. Got it in a laffa with salad, tehina, amba, etc. Was very good and filling. Only issue is it's a bit on the expensive side. About $20 for a laffa, 16 for pita. And didn't see any options for a lunch special at least by the counter for shawarma. Still it's a good lunch option
The food was excellent. The staff didn't panic under pressure and the set up was spot on. The only reason I'm giving this 4 stars as opposed to 5 is because it is not fitting to give a fast food restaurant with a sort of attitude that it had where u had to go to stations to get your lunch and the place wasn't so clean either.
Good for an everyday fast lunch, the food are usually fairly priced and you get what you pay for. For a fast in-and-out you can try their deli sandwiches or the schwarma/falafal at the front counter. The place gets crowded at prime time but with their big dining area you can find a seat most of the time (shhh... don’t tell anyone about the additional seating upstairs, this secret is for the regulars only 😉).
Went here looking for chopped liver and potato latke on the recommendation of the Hilton concierge. They didn't have either. Very disappointing. So I opted for a corned beef sandwich and I must say that it was melt in your mouth delicious. I need to try the pastrami next trip.
Delicious shwarma platter. Hummus is thick and creamy. Crispy chicken sandwich is pretty good too.
Polite well organized place, tasty food but a bit more expensive than I would expect. Shwarma is excellent, very good Chinese with hearty portions, nice burgers as well for something close to a fast food joint.
Great place. A lot to choose from. But I stuck to the classic, Pastrami on Rye. Can't go wrong. It looks like they do it in house. Great job! We will be back.
EDIT: Kosher deluxe no longer offers the side plate with your choice of slaws and salads. Now you are allowed your choice of slaws/salads, but they put them inside the pita. ORIGINAL REVIEW: Kosher deluxe is a nice place to grab a fast (or slow) lunch. Their falafel is truly excellent when hot from the fryer and comes with an unlimited number of delicious slaws and vegetable salads on the side. I haven’t tried most of their other offerings but I did have the worst knish of my life there, so avoid that. Prices are consistent with other establishments in the area.
Very clean place but staff did not wear masks. I had the corned beef platter. I was expecting it to come as a sandwich but it was just the meat. I had requested it come with mashed potatoes but they gave me french fries which were cooked well and I did not complain. It was a very nice place to come and sit down to eat with a pleasant staff. Also, there are absolutely NO PRICES listed on the board, so ask for the cost before you order.
The place is nice and there is a large selection, the dishes themselves were delicious but there were two things that are important to note: 1. The prices are a bit expensive. 2. There aren't all the types of salads that should be, such as hummus and coleslaw. There are vegetarian options.
Stopped in for a quick lunch on a Sunday. Place was fairly packed, despite an abundance of seating, and service was quick. Prices are reasonable. Wasn't too fancy, but they had the typical random collection of kosher foods - Chinese, Shawarma & sushi, which met my expectations in terms of quality. Would come back again.
Server was too lazy to give us more amba sauce. We had to go to the manager to ask for more amba sauce. The chicken shwarma was very dry. Two years ago when we went it was much better.
Huge menu for kosher keeping people. תפריט גדול ועשיר לשומרי כשרות 4 star since the sign says opening at 11:00 but in reality they were so busy at the morning making food (delivery) that they didn't really care about the customers. So they postponed the opening to 12:00. Beside that, the food was good. Just make sure not to come in the early morning since they are focused on the deliveries. 4/5 for the service, and prices ofcourse.
I have eaten at KD for a years and it reminds, based on my recent visit an entirely adequate kosher fast food restaurant There is a wide variety of items. I generally go for a hamburger or a hot dog, which are fine. They also do catering and delivery . If you are in the area, Kosher delight is a good place to eat. It can get noisy, so I wouldn't recommend it for a business meeting
I cannot rate the atmosphere as it was a delivery. I can tell you that spending nearly $15 EXTRA dollars on tax, tip, and delivery fees is ridiculous, and my base order was just shy of $25. I ordered for the nostalgia of the once-staple of my childhood, Kosher Delight, and it didn’t disappoint in this area at all. If staying in a budget isn’t a concern or if you can eat in, I would highly recommend it. From a delivery perspective, it came exactly when I wanted it, and the way I wanted it.
A variety of Kosher items including schwarmas, burgers, etc. The chicken gyro was on the smaller side. They also offer a "salad bar" which is basically pickles and slaw at no added cost. It is on the pricier side. I ordered the schwarma and soda and it came out to $15.00. Since I don't keep Kosher, next time I'll opt for an equally good cart gyro and soda for $5.00.
Reliable kosher fast food with many low price options. Cafeteria style eating. If the main restaurant is too noisy ask if you can sit upstairs. They have a small room with a few tables. WiFi available.
It's a good solution for people who look for kosher food. Great location, a very good service. I had a burger which was nice and onion rings which were terrible...
Mediocre food at fairly high prices. The place is not clean and needs a good refresh. Their shwarma is definitely better than the store next door, but they serve you with an attitude. Their falafel is not bad either, just way overpriced for a simple falafel sandwich. Later in the day they won't restock all their salad in their salad bar.
The most I have ever paid over the counter for a shawarma sandwich in a fastfood/deli context. It was bland, and massive. I got the “laffe” type and it was brittle, came apart as soon as I opened it. So it cannot be eaten on the go and had to be a sit down meal using utensils. Not recommended.
Well I only tried their burger deluxe meal. I did not even take a picture. If You're a type of person who likes tasty dishes avoid ordering what I ordered. The place is probably popular to others so you might want to try other dishes
I was somewhat disappointed by the quality of the food this time. Also, the price for a regular shawarma pita with salad inside, not outside, was a bit high. I paid $19.40 for it that also included a can of ginger ale. I didn't feel well remainder of the day.
Selection is excellent. They always accommodate special requests. Dishes are pricy for midtown take away especially for lunch.
The Mediterranean food here is good, but the service is terrible and the employees are rude. It feels like a factory restaurant.
Overall not bad food isn't great but good prices.
Great service and excellent owner However, prices were high. I ordered the Hamburger, wasn’t tasty at all but the fries were delicious and it saved the day. The people who came in with me to eat there said the Shawarma Baguette was excellent.
This is a great stop if you just hit the lottery but don't yet grasp the concept that more money = better food. Got a very okay corned beef sandwich with no fries on a Styrofoam plate for $17. At least if it was infused with gold I might FEEL like I'm punching above my socioeconomic weight. 2 stars for the reasonably fast service.
Underwhelming food. Overwhelmed by the Fox News in the background while I was trying to eat. I came from Israel hoping to get the full Larry David experience of going to a deli and getting a gazunta pastrami on rye with a pickle. I was hoping to see other Larry David-type people, but as it turns out, I'm the Larry David. The other kosher-style delis were not kosher to Orthodox Jewish standards, so this is what was left. I was served a tastless pastrami sandwich on plain white bread (I asked for rye), and the pastrami was limp and 65% fat. I got half a mini pickle and a bit of coleslaw which required a magnifying glass to observe. For that, I paid $18 (plus tax). Additionally, they had Fox news playing nonstop on the TV, and I had to endure Jim Jordon lying at me, so I couldn't even eat in peace. There was even a Billy Graham commercial for a prayer hotline, which I was tempted to use, considering how bad my sandwich was. But the people at the counter were nice, so there's that.
We ordered a really big order from them, this is what I got. I’ve ordered 2 burgers and when they arrived and I noticed how small they are I was really happy that I got myself 2. It had a lot of lettuce but only 2 real small slices of pickles, and literally one circle of onion. When it comes to taste it was pretty good I would’ve given it a solid 7 out of 10. Thy fries were bad, there 100% not fresh. Tastes as if it was frozen and then reheated a couple of times. The onion rings were totally average-you can totally make it at home in a five minute process in the oven for quarter of the price.
Unnattentive service who don't care about the customers and are only focused on the game. A $16 pre-made chiken sandwich that is not worth it and comes with no fries or other sides. Horrible service for sub-par food not worth the money it costs.
After 28 Minutes the food if you could call it that was delivered oh $4.00 for delivery so two dogs a kinish and soda $30.,00 the dogs were dried up the kinish fit in the palm of my hand it was so small !!! Never again
a garbage of food. Never in my life had I eaten such a bad shawerma. do not eat in this very bad horrible place. quality very bad attention horror never in my life I will return. They charged me 18 usd for a garbage shawerma. Never come here, don't give away your money.
Terrible experience. Placed a delivery order four days in advance to accommodate a kosher guest at the building. Thirty minutes past the delivery time and six minutes on hold I’m told the delivery person was finishing another stop. My order was already thirty minutes late and you’ve still got more stops ahead? At an hour late and after three more calls I couldn’t be told to expect the delivery in 5, 10, 30 or 50 minutes. Nobody had a clue. I spoke briefly with somebody who presented themself as something of a manager. He could not have cared less. He offered a refund but in a dick’ish way. Save yourself the disappointment. Go to Mr Broadway on 37th instead.
spent $22 on small pastrami sandwich on rye. Katz deli prices for the driest pastrami I’ve ever had. I understand it’s the city but I’d rather get a hotdog from the street.
Wow probably the worst shawarma I had ever. Pita fell apart and the mean felt half cooked with no flavor. First time ever had to add salt for flavor. Sorry but this is not good. Granted I came in 4pm but still no excuse for the city.
While I appreciate this restaurant open on Christmas and being busy. The food was completely unacceptable. My meal. Burger Deluxe fries and drink. As you can see in my picture, that was NOT worth $19, McDonald's burgers are thicker and bigger than that. When I confronted them, that confirmed that was the burger. I was pretty upset. My mother in law and daughter ordered a chicken and broccoli lo mein and a beef lo mein both were very greasy and the quantity nor quality was worth the price. My wife ordered a chicken shawarma pita, and it was small. We spent over $100 here, and nothing was worth the price. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone, and as tourists were very disappointed.
I never write reviews but this place gave me and my friends food poisoning and then refused to provide a refund for their spoiled food so I feel compelled to write it. Avoid this place if you care about your health. PS: I expect they will respond to this message claiming that it was not their food that caused the food poisoning. There were 10 people at the dinner eating their catered food, we all got sick. It was certainly their food. I would like to support kosher businesses in the area but I cannot support the unfair treatment my friends and I got from this restaurant. We will be taking our business to better places.
The food tasted good, but what is the point of the food tasting good if you get sick from it? After eating their food I got sick the next day because their food caused me food poisoning. This speaks volumes about their food handling, their cooks, their actual food, and the cleanliness. Service was disgusting, when telling them what happened to all of us (a dinner of 7 where each and everyone got sick) they said they could give us credit. Why on earth would I or anyone of my friends eat there again? PLEASE BE ADVISED, IF YOU ORDER FROM HERE YOU MIGHT GET SICK!!! DON’T DO THE SAME MISTAKE!
The food was greasy, did not taste good, and our party got sick the next morning and throughout the day (food poisoning symptoms). I was hoping to enjoy the food, since going to a kosher restaurant is an experience I usually enjoy!, but this restaurant fell short. Sadly, we will not be going back :(
This is my second time dining here with the worst quality of meat and customer service experience. The lady in the front (long hair, glasses) is the best part of this business, the Sharma, I haven’t tried so I can not say anything about it. The Chinese was mediocre last time, but today after spending over $50 for a burger and steak sandwich, neither including the fries was edible. The fries was cold, the steak ($28) was a piece of smelly “plastic like” meat and the burger was not any better. The owner tried to fix my food and exchanged it for chicken but wouldn’t pay me back the difference of the two! Anyway, lesson learned, never again!
I went in and made an order with specifics, I was given my order with the additions on the side, I asked if they can put it in the sandwich and was spoken back to saying "but not everyone likes us to do it" yes, but I'm asking you to... Im paying for my food, when you decide to pay me to put sandwiches together I expect you as a food service restaurant to do it because it's your job. Food wasn't even that good. The only thing good about this place was that it was quick and has place to sit, but that's not enough for me to increase the rating
ordered a bunch of food for the office at work , they gave us NO SAUCE that we asked for, no BBQ sauce on the beef brisket , forgot to send the french fries, THE CHICKEN KEBAB WAS STILL RAW IN THE MIDDLE , wontons were salty , the mashed potato gravy was thick like jelly , the wonton soup was basically water and a wonton , and the main issue was that there was a GIANT EGGSHELL IN MY FRIED RICE, and i mean huge. i didnt even order anything with eggs ! disgusting ! will never order from this place again , and i hope everyone that reads this wont either . prices are over priced and not worth the wait for delivery either , unless you want cold food .
The food was very bland and not seasoned very well. The salad lacked flavor. Not to mention i was not given any sauce to go with my meal. This was a big letdown. Especially for the price of $26.It's a pass for me--never again!
Food was okay. Soup was served hot in a plastic container. Always love melted plastic in my food. The TV was tuned to Fox News, which tells me enough. Won't be back.
I ordered delivery from them and they did not honor the order. Multiple drivers went and were telling me the workers were flat out ignoring them. I DO NOT recommend shopping at a resturaunt that does not value human beings and wasting their times.
Overpriced and not good at all. Got their “crispy chicken sandwich” that was being advertised. Tasted like a week old dried out piece of chicken. The fries also were terrible. And all of this for $30? Not making this mistake again. If you can’t make it good, don’t put it on the menu. I’m going to assume all the food sucks.
Stopped in looking for a quick bite for breakfast. Asked the girl at the register to give me her best recommendation for a sandwich. She ordered me a $24 fried rice and chicken, and it wasn’t that good. On top of that, you’re expected to clean your own tray. For that price, the business should be cleaning their own tables, not the customer. Can’t wrap my head around how that place is still in business. Avoid.
This is the first time I’ve ever felt the need to write a review. I got food poisoning immediately after eating at KD46. I ordered a hamburger, and right after finishing my meal and standing up, I started feeling extremely weak and drowsy. On my way in 30 mins, I experienced confusion and diarrhea. If you're a tourist with only a few days in NYC, I strongly recommend avoiding this place. I dined in, and the atmosphere was equally unpleasant—depressing and uninviting. Honestly, I can’t think of a single positive thing to say about the experience. Very disappointing.
Today I ordered my lunch as usual and the delivery service used by Kosher Delight46 called for an address I gave him the address again because you had to know where you are going to pick up an order. , but apparently you don’t . Someone called to say the guy was at the wrong address and I heard him say take the food . The person did not .As I work in a school the directions say to leave the order at the front desk with the security officer . I went down after class to retrieve my order and there was no order when I called Kosher delight she told me it was not her problem it was the delivery service “ Sauce” not them I told her there order was not fuffilled and they should be responsible . So I will never used them again and I feel sad that if I am ordering food I must be a yid I don’t think a non Jewish person would pay 21 dollars for a sandwich and a yid treated another yid this way It is a lesson for me that sometimes We think a business wants our return service . It was 53 dollars of a loss for me but aI am sure with HaShem they lost more than that.
If I could give 0 stars, I would. Save yourself the trip, the cost and everything else. Paid $20 for the most anemic pastrami sandwich I’ve ever seen. Cole slaw that comes with it is the equivalent to a table spoons worth. Very disappointed and would NOT go back. P.S their lunch specials are a scheme and are less food than you’d get at the same price for their menu prices. Regardless, eat at your own risk.
We ordered (highly priced) aged rib eye steak at medium doneness and grilled chicken. Steak was over-grilled. They refused to replace it and claimed it is medium. I added a photo for you to judge. Chicken was over-grilled and dry. Also, we ordered rice and got mashed potatoes instead. In summary, a disappointment.
