I just now discovered this place and I love it already! The service is absolutely great — super friendly, attentive, and welcoming from the moment I walked in. Rafael is the best, making this place fun! Pizza is very fresh, and full of flavor. The atmosphere is very lively with great choice of music. Definitely coming back again! 🍕✨
Food is awesome and staff is friendly. Have been looking for a solid pizza spot in the area and finally found one! Also, their Korean fried chicken wings are amazing! Definitely recommend
As a 3rd gen Sicilian, this reminds me of my bebop’s food. The pizza was amazing and they even gave us more than we ordered ABSOLUTELY will come back when here again.
This place was amazing and their food was incredible. They serve some really good pizza here, it was some of the best I've had here in Manhattan. I would highly recommend this place, the atmosphere is nice and everyone working there looked to be having a great time. Everyone was super friendly and the service was quick. They also gave us 2 garlic breads on the house for our order.
Great little authentic pizza place. Great service
This place was by my hotel so I decided to stop in and I’m glad I did. The pizza slice was huge and had plenty of topping. The crust was crispy and the sauce was really good, kinda sweet. I’ve never had anything like it but it was delicious. The guy taking my order was a friendly guy too.
Incredible! Hands down the best experience you’ll have with pizza and customer service. First off—the food (which is why you go) is undefeated: amazing taste, generous portions, and for the price? SO good. But what you don’t expect when you walk in is the level of genuine, personable service. That part is just as undefeated. When you go, ask for Rafael—truly the best of the best. He remembers you after just one visit (even a month later!) and treats everyone with such care.
Their tomato sauce is very flavorful with herbs and sweet tomatoes. I don't think they're adding sugar since the sweetness has an appropriate acidity too. As a result the tomato sauce is definitely worth trying which means get a margherita slice. It is pricey at $6 but that seems to be the cost nowadays for an excellent slice.
The pizza and the spaghetti with meatballs were really good. The spaghetti and meatballs come with a free extra, and the meatballs were especially delicious. The sauce was great, and I’d recommend the Margherita pizza. The brownie was good, and they have lots of other desserts. Overall, it’s a great value!!
My first NYC pizza experience and it was truly amazing. I got cheese, burrata and square vodka pepperoni slices and all were absolutely delicious! My wife ordered the chicken parm and had to wait 20 minutes and it was well worth the wait because it was made fresh! Due to the wait they gave us a free drink and some garlic knots! The food and service was 10/10 and we highly recommend!!
La Pizza Italia hits that rare Midtown East note: zero pretension, all flavor. You walk in expecting a quick slice and end up staring at the counter like someone handed you a memory from Naples. The dough has that honest chew — not the Instagram fold, the street-level one — and the sauce tastes like somebody’s uncle actually cared. It’s the kind of place that reminds you why New York still wins the simple things. No theatrics, no “elevated” nonsense. Just heat, tomato, cheese, and the confidence to let it be what it is. A slice joint built for people who’ve lived enough life to know when something’s real.
I had such a great, quick, and easy experience here at La Pizza Italia located on E 51st Street and 2nd Ave! The service is great here. Everyone is fast and friendly (just how we like it in New York City). And huge shoutout to Rafael for letting me know about the BOGO FREE pasta deal they have!! Such a steal and so worth the money! I got a burrata basil pizza slice and the BOGO vodka pasta deal all for ~$23. Solid food for great prices. Definitely take advantage of this deal while it lasts. Thank you Rafael and La Pizza Italia! I will be back!
This is our first trip back to NYC in a while, and pizza was our first lunch option. La Pizza Italia did not disappoint! The crust was textbook perfect, ample toppings, and just enough cheese and olive oil to balance out every bite. The staff were super-friendly, and the constant foot traffic was a testament to this location's popularity. Excellent pizza!!! 🍕

Best pizza in Midtown East hands down. Do yourself a favor and grab a slice of the pepperoni burrata when you're in the area. Staff is amazing and Raphael is the greatest person in the entire world.

Dudes working here are hella chill and super friendly. The pizza is delicious AND they're open late asf. Korean Fried Wings are a must and well worth the price with a selection of flavors, my favor…
I looove the pizza here! You can't go wrong with the burrata or margherita. The red sauce is savory and incredible (I try to choose which of the two pizza slices ^ based on how much red sauce I see…

We loved this place, so went back a second time. Crispy crust… heated up nicely, great varieties to choose from. We didn’t try pasta dishes. Service was outstanding. Very friendly and fast.

Ordered two pizzas. Pizza crusts were spot on and tasty...overall some good pizzas. The sauce though. A previous review mentioned the sauce was sweet but that they probably don't add sugar to their tomato sauce. I would disagree with that assumption. Half way through the pizza ... The sweetness kinda took over for me. And that's just a personal preference maybe? Service was cold and not the friendliest. The set up itself was decent enough and clean... They had some latin music playing which was ok. I'm not sure I'd come back if I was in New York next. If you enjoy sweet pizza sauce you'll love this place because the crust was really good :) Just the sweetness of the sauce was not to my taste.
Pizza was amazing. Service was adequate. She kept forgetting items ordered and we had to keep clarifying what we wanted. It really wasn't complicated and writing it down would have been way easier for everyone. But the food was delicious once received. I wish all pizza tasted like this. Thin, crisp, and flavorful, with just the right amount of everything! Also, turn the music down just a tad. Had to yell across the table because the music was so loud.
Excellent pizza spot in midtown east. I ordered a margherita pie and it was fantastic. Will definitely return and try their other pizza next time. Service was quick and prices are reasonable.

I was disappointed by the over doughyness of the margherita slices, lacked taste as well. Super friendly staff and convenient location. Economic pricing.
I came here for dinner last night and ordered 3 slices of pie. My favorite was the "grandma's pizza " it was absolutely delicious and so were their garlic knots. I ordered a slice of their rainbow …
There is nothing terribly special about this new pizzeria. The slices are based on traditional pies and traditional flavors. Will we be back, no!
I am visiting this city and looked to order pizza near by our hotel(Westgate). Chose this location for the close proximity and good reviews. Well, completely disappointed with their delivery and service. I placed the order at 10:58pm. Received text stating delivery would be between 11:15-11:20pm. At around 11:35pm I called for a status update. I was told " my delivery guy" was not there yet. I didn't use a delivery service, it was ordered through their delivery. At midnight, I called again and at this point requested a refund. This was not given as an option. The man on the phone apologized and said he would get another delivery service on it. I received a message stating delivery would be around 12:08am. My poor husband went to the lobby to wait. I fell asleep and next I'm woken up by my husband's call stating he is still waiting. It is nearly 1am. I call them again, the man again apologized, but did not accept my request for a refund. At this point, I'm no longer hungry, and definitely not for cold pizza. This ended up being delivered around 1:15 am. And yes, cold pizza and chicken wings were received. Super disappointed!
