Amazing service! Our server was so friendly, attentive, and made great recommendations. Pat She really made our dining experience in SoHo unforgettable!

Five star - their fish is on point 🤷‍♀️ And the restaurant itself is so unique! It resembles the inside of a cruise ship. So fun and such a great idea. I will say it is arguably a bit overpriced but they deliver so it is worth the splurge. We went during COVID and felt very comfortable inside.

Came here for my wife and I’s anniversary and it was a perfect date spot. Pricey, but worth it. All the seafood was extremely fresh and delicious. Our favorite dishes were the Salmon Tiradito & Tuna Tataki. Crispy sushi is also a must try. Opt for outdoor seating and pass on the sushi rolls- there are wayyyy better options on the menu

Came here for my birthday and had a blast the ambiance is great! Although the dress code is hella confusing. But it seems people just wore what they felt comfortable in. Food is crazy good! The pastas where probably my favorite. Specifically the uni pasta. But it's hard to miss when choosing a dish. Not your weekly type dinner place unless you've got the funds, but every once in a while and you like the vibe.

Went there in mid afternoon for a Solo lunch date because I was feeling for some sushi and Oysters. The African/American male hostess was very sweet and also my server who is knowledgeable helped me choose which oysters and they were lovely. They kept checking in my yo see if I was doing ohk and also the runners there are sweet also.

My friends and I were in the neighborhood having drinks and decided we wanted to grab dinner. We didn’t have a res and decided to just chance it and walked in as a party of 7 to a packed Lure. We were greeted by the hostess and the GM Orran and asked if there was room despite not having a reservation. He and the team up front were so kind and said he would see what he could do for us. Less than just a few minutes later he let us know he could make it work! Once seated we were greeted by our server Dee, and she was fantastic! Aside from listening to our specifics and actually following through, she was fun, and really stayed on top of our table’s needs. I always have a great experience at Lure, but this one stood out even more so I just wanted to share! (Also the Lychee martinis are fire!)

10/10 Experience at the Sushi Bar with Wilmer! Wilmer is an amazing sushi man who works at the sushi bar area, and everything he prepares is made with genuine care and love. He goes above and beyond by offering complimentary bites so you can try new things before you order — a perfect way to discover new favorites! I highly recommend sitting at the sushi bar and asking for Wilmer. His hospitality and attention to detail truly elevate the dining experience.

I heard about this restaurant from a documentary that I watched on Netflix, 'High on the Hog' and I knew immediately I had to come and dine here. The kindness and attentiveness from the staff was great. The food was amazing. I had the Branzino St. Tropez which was cooked perfectly, crisp on the outside and tender and flaky on the inside, the Lychee martini for my cocktail, Blue Point New York Oysters, and I also had the New England clam chowder that was very good! For dessert, i had the warm chocolate chip cookie with salt, caramel and vanilla bean ice cream which was so delicious! Victor and Zog were so kind and welcoming!!! I highly recommend! Thank you!

Sublime deliciousness...Two meals in a row and each better. First we plowed through the sushi offerings before I could even get my camera ready. Such freshness! Why are their deviled eggs so good? Clever pairings had us delighted by the fried rice chips with tartares. Check out the chicken lollipops...but be aware...the sauce may brighten your lips with spice. The cheesecake was gone before I could find the camera. I apologize. We were eating as a group and I simply had to drop the camera and dig in because we all agree it is just sublime deliciousness. Service...simply the best. Attention to detail meant bringing more soy sauce when seeing I was slow pouring....love that. Did not even have to ask. Large, exciting room with the ability to have a table conversation. Great energy. Oh, and every time I have been there this year, I have seen a celebrity so do take a moment to look around. I see why they call it Lure...they lure you into a Lure addiction...I can't wait to go again!

I was just passing by and saw this beautiful cozy restaurant and I have decided I will bring my hubby for the date evening here, and we weren't disappointed. Food is delicious and service is very good, we even got one dessert on house 💜

I loved dining at Lure! The ambiance was really nice. Both food and service were exceptional, I haven’t had tasty, authentic sushi in a while. The drinks were great too, I’d definitely recommend the Lychee Martini.

Let me tell you, the devil eggs at Lure Fishbar are seriously out of this world! And that's not all, the tuna tataki dish is a real winner too. My taste buds were on cloud nine! The service, especially Samantha, was top-notch. The atmosphere is simply breathtaking, like stepping onto a luxurious ship. You've got to give this place a shot, trust me! And oh, make sure you leave some room for dessert because their cheesecake is absolutely legendary.

Excellent bar staff - very attentive, friendly and knowledgeable on the menu items and were able to make great recommendations. The oysters were fresh as can be, deviled eggs with caviar, and the classic Maine lobster roll were really good! Great atmosphere and classy and upscale without being pretentious. This place is worth making a detour and a definite must when in SoHo.

This photo was taken at our last visit, in July. My husband and daughter had dined here for lunch on a couple of occasions and this was our first time for dinner, all four of us. It’s nestled in one of my favorite parts of town, and there’s something about the busy-ness of the place when it’s packed. Everyone there seemed to enjoy themselves, great food, good drinks, great service! We celebrated our daughter’s birthday this day. She didn’t want us to tell anyone so we kept it mum, but after several visits we can say it’s a great place to eat. Love the atmosphere, too.

Opposite the Mercer Hotel. A very nice seafood restaurant. Very nice atmosphere. Lobster bisque was very good. The grilled fish is very moist and tasty. The uni pasta was too creamy and more like a carbonara which I do not like. Overall very good.

I just wanted to personally thank you both Mr ORRAN and NOELL for taking such wonderful care of my wife and her friends during their visit to Lure Fishbar. She couldn’t stop talking about the outstanding service, the attention to detail, and how welcoming you made the experience from start to finish. It truly meant a lot to know they were in such good hands and able to enjoy a memorable evening.

After closing a big sale at work, I surprised my partner with a reservation at Lure Fishbar. This soho spot has become our go-to over the years for celebrating special career milestones and successes. We arrived 30 minutes before our scheduled reservation knowing it was unlikely they'd be able to seat us, but somehow they made it happen! We were quickly greeted by our server, Jose, who took our drink order. After receiving our drinks and looking over the menu to make sure our favorite items were still on the menu, we ordered: A half dozen oysters, the spicy crispy rice, the hamachi ponzu crispy rice, the Shazam roll and the whole stuffed lobster. The whole stuffed lobster was the only item we had never tried before, so we knew we were in for a treat. All of the food came out well prepared and well-paced. We love the consistency of the oysters, crispy rices and rolls. However, once the whole stuff lobster came out, we were disappointed to see it was overcooked. Normally we wouldn't say anything, as we're pretty laidback when it comes to food orders, but it was so overcooked that we couldn't get it out of the shell. We felt horrible, but knew we needed to let Jose know given the price point of the item. After informing him, he promptly asked if we wanted a new one or wanted to switch to another item. We ordered a new one and also ordered another Shazam roll while we waited. During that time, the manager, Orin (spelling?) came up to us to check in and assure us the lobster was being made with special care. Totally unnecessary, but we appreciated it and believe this level of hospitality is what sets Lure Fishbar out amongst the rest! We understand that not every order can be absolutely perfect (we're all human!), but that service can be - Lure Fishbar is an excellent example of a spot that knows what they are doing. When the newly cooked lobster came out, it was truly cooked to perfection and we couldn't have been happier. We really appreciate the kitchen for putting in the extra work for us. They also went above and beyond and surprised us with a special dessert to celebrate my sweetheart's work win! We are so grateful to Lure Fishbar, specifically Jose, Orin and the kitchen staff, for making our experience wonderful. We can't wait to visit again soon.

This review was long overdue. My husband and I came here by accident. We were looking for a place to have dinner and we saw Lure Fishbar. We were like let try this, and that was the right decision. We came in the little early, around 5:30pm which was perfect time for us. As you can see from the pictures, we had some oysters, couple drinks, and some sushi. Perfection!

I frequent Lure often, and always have the most amazing time and great food, but last night Lure particularly went above and beyond to accommodate a birthday group for 12 people last minute at 10:45 pm. We had originally hosted a surprise party at Soho House, and because of the no photo policy, we went to Lure to cut the cake and have a round of drinks. They set up a BEAUTIFUL 12 person table for us, were so attentive to the party (even though they were nearly closing), kind to our table and so sweet to the birthday girl, and did not rush us with ordering food. We lingered in the restaurant for a long time after, and no one tried to rush us out, but rather said happy birthday again to the birthday girl when we left. I think more restaurants need to take note of the quality of service that Lure provides. They go above and beyond to make everyone feel at home, and it is noticeable! Thank you so much to Victoria and Cici, our servers, who were so fun to talk to and so incredibly helpful with cutting the cake, taking photos and delivering our food. Thank you to Judy the hostess who so kindly seated us and helped to prepare a wonderful table scape! Y’all all go above and beyond!!

The only thing more amazing than the food (deviled eggs topped with caviar and the stuffed lobster) was the service we received from Olga. She provided great recommendations—including all the best hotspots to hit while we were in the city. Olga made our anniversary so special. Exceptional dining experience!

Love this place! Absolutely fun, relaxing, upbeat atmosphere, feels like your on vacation as it looks kind of like a yacht inside. The Kenai Roll sushi was amazing!! One of the best rolls I’ve had in the city yet! The fish was so fresh, soft, and melts in your mouth with a nice crispy crunch from the other flavors. Lobster ravioli and key lime pie were also good. You can definitely taste the homemade feel in the food. The crispy rice spicy tuna was ok. I wouldn’t order it again but would definitely love to try more sushi on the menu! Overall great place and recommend! 100% coming back!

I almost hesitated to write this review, as I wanted to keep this restaurant to myself lol. So, please don't spread the word haha. The ambience was excellent. The staff was unbelievably polite. Had an amazing experience at Lure on a Saturday night. Even though we arrived a bit late, everything was perfect. Estefania was super kind and attentive, and the sushi guys did an outstanding job. The salmon tiradito was super fresh, the toro sushi was amazing, and the espresso martini was delicious. The crispy rice was out of this world. Definitely a place I’d come back to.

Walked in during peak traffic and was lucky to get a seat at the sushi bar. Great atmosphere and the decor is so cool. Not sure if they were short-staffed but service was really slow and at times, it was difficult to get a hold of our waitress. However, in the brief moments that we did get her attention, the waitress was really nice, answered our many questions and she did accommodate us really well in the end. Service aside, the rolls were delicious! I paired my food with sparkling cuvée prestige and it was perfect! I wouldn’t get the oysters again nor the lychee martini but everything else was fantastic!

Beautiful yacht-vibes atmosphere. Very classy and upscale without being stuffy or pretentious. Lively and fun, fit for young people and older folks alike. The cocktails were very good and the service was excellent. I had the Asian snapper for two and it was absolutely delicious and unique. It’s on the pricier end but definitely worth it. Great for dates, special occasions, dinners with family from out of town. Definitely would return.

R

UPDATE : Still awesome, Yari was the best waiter (professional, helpful, friendly). Awesome! The atmosphere is cool, very low pro nautical, like you’re on an old school ocean liner. Octavio was our server and her was great. All staff (hostesses, runners and busboys) were very friendly. We loved our meal! Everything was fantastic. The linguine vongole was a bit too lemony/not savory enough, but it was good.

C
Cate Janusz

Great spot! We got the tuna tacos (9/10), the hamachi crudo (10/10), the salmon tiradito (8/10), spicy tuna crispy rice (8/10), the sea urchin bucatini (9/10), the lobster mqc and cheese (8/10) and the skillet cookie (7/10). Everything was solid but the hamachi crudo was a clear standout!

In the Summer I came here with my Family expecting another average Fish Place. But this Restaurant’s ambition for the best service and uniqueness made this place a truly special Restaurant in the Summer that I’ll never forget. Perfect seasoning on everything like the Glazed Salmon and a cozy interior of the Restaurant making you feel like you’re inside a boat. Excellent food like the Tuna Tacos, Lobster Roll, the Hellfire Roll and more!

Best place we’ve been to in this last visit to NYC. Ambiance is beautiful, food is great, fresh, well presented. They were kind of busy for a Tuesday and service was a little bit stretched, but they made up for it 100% with small hospitality details. Very much appreciated. Will be back.

O

The restaurant’s interior is super cool, with round, boat-shaped windows that make you feel like you’re on a yacht. I had the pan-seared black bass with sweet potatoes, while my husband enjoyed the steamed red snapper with Bok choy. For our appetizer, we shared the Hamachi crudo. Although the portions were on the smaller side, each dish was perfectly prepared and delicious. The service was exceptional—attentive and thoughtful throughout our meal. We’re already looking forward to returning to try more of the menu!

maritime magic in manhattan — below deck on the corner of prince & mercer, lure is soho's golden-hued nautical odyssey quality over complexity. lure offers two (very different) burger options. both 21 day dry-aged, chuck cut certified winners. both coated in richly melted american cheese. both topped with a heavily battered and thinly sliced red-onion ring THE LURE BURGER — coastal minimalism perfected on a toasted brioche bun, with iceberg lettuce, heirloom tomato, and house-pickled cucumbers brined in solution of rice vinegar, sugar, and mustard seed. the classics, where everything is just better THE BASH BURGER — a symphony of savory complexity. dijon mustard and shaved pickles lay beneath the burger on a sesame seed bun, topped with a slow cooked house-made bacon jam reduction and special bash sauce table consesus: lure style is the way to go — quality of that brioche bun makes last bite as good as first. I thought bash burger would be clear top-choice, but teeters on edge of too much ofc the crispy rice spicy tuna, lobster bisque, and salmon tiradito are insane (as expected). but don't sleep on the buffalo chicken lollipops ("best part of the meal"). what's most impressive about lure is how incredible all the *non* seafood options are at a seafood restaurant. that includes the midnight penny, a genuis scotch cocktail with an extra long earthy finish wrapped in a smoky blanket prada can pack their bags elsewhere. long live lure fishbar

My girlfriend took me here for my birthday and we were not disappointed. Everything was incredible and it’s a really cool vibe inside. Feels like you’re on a ship with all the decor. The sushi and sashimi was A+ and we also got some oysters and deviled eggs with caviar on top. I’d recommend going with one of the signature oysters. To finish, we split the lobster Mac which was so good. Will definitely be back again because there’s so much in the menu we still want to try.

One of my favorites when in town! Fun place with a weekend feeling. Cocktails are delicious and the food is such a treat! It gets very loud so not for the sensitive ears!

D

Olivia Dean coming through the speakers, fresh sushi, cold Prosecco, how could ANYONE be displeased. My friend and I stopped in on 12/3 to get out of the cold as we waited for friends to meet us in soho. He had a medium well filet with the mash. I had two signature rolls suggested by the attendant. The food was good, the music was great and the atmosphere was so relaxing. It is a little loud in the dinning area, could be a Wednesday night thing, but I wouldn't suggest you take anyone here if you're wanting to really get into to deep conversation lol

⭐️ “I had such a wonderful dining experience at lure in SoHo. The food was delicious, but what truly made the evening special was the amazing service. Our server, Pat was warm, attentive, and genuinely friendly. She checked on us often without being intrusive, made excellent recommendations from the menu, and ensured that we always had everything we needed. It’s rare to find staff who make you feel both comfortable and valued as a guest, but she definitely did. I would absolutely come back here not only for the food but also for the outstanding hospitality. Highly recommended!”

This is my second time visiting this restaurant. Love the seafood. I have so far tried some sushi rolls which were very fresh. For mains I’ve had had the fill grilled fish, apart from having a lot of scales, it was very tasty. I have also had the steamed red snapper which comes with a nice red Thai sauce. The cocktails are also amazing, I really recommend the smoke and trouble. I would not recommend this place for vegetarians. Although, my girlfriend is vegetarian and upon talking to the manager, the chef did make a special pasta dish for her, which was very nice of them.

Our family ate at this restaurant on Christmas Eve. Originally, our plan was to have an oyster appetizer with some champagne and appetizers. I had made a seafood bouillbase soup and a seafood linguine. As has historically been the case, I was overruled by my wife and daughters. They loved the food and ambiance so we had dinner and I'm glad we stayed. The oysters both east and west coast were amazing. The bartenders execution of my Vesper Martini was amazing. The egg appetizer with caviar was outstanding!. My daughter and I had the dorade which was perfectly cooked and the sea urchin and crab my wife and other daughter had was amazing. The service was professional and efficient. The ambiance and lighting were perfect. Had a wonderful experience and highly recommend this restaurant without any reservation. Great job to all !!!

A lively atmosphere in a sleek, nautical themed space. Lower level basement but still spacious and well appointed. Cocktails, the famed burger and seafood are all excellent. Very good service, errors during busy times graciously fixed.

Lure Fishbar was an excellent experience! Highlights were the sushi rolls, the tuna crispy rice, the 16oz NY strip steak, and the lobster mac and cheese. Got the big group reservation easily over the phone, and they really took care of us! Great vibes, perfect for a birthday. All of the steaks are Halal from Creekstone.

Can't say enough good things about this place! Best sushi and crudo ever! Even had the caviar service since felt so cozy. Went with my kids, went with my friends. Service is elegant but super friendly, makes me feel like a star. That's why I had to take a pic with the super sympa chef, Preston Clark! in your face, Talyor Swift, hahaha!

Incredible food, but a few minor drawbacks. The atmosphere is quite loud and the drink quality didn't match the high standard of the kitchen. That said, the menu variety is impressive and the food itself was outstanding. Even with a busy rush hour, the staff worked hard. Come here for the eats!

H
Hen (CatchAfilM)

Great place, we were walking down the street and got caught with the view of the low windows into the restaurant, and we decided to book a table. We had good time, excellent food, they have also vegetarian option, we took the ravioli. Recommend on sea food if you're there, and we also tried one of the sushi rolls which was good as well. Would recommend if you are in the SoHo area and love seafood to try it out.

The ambiance, service and food provided us with a wonderful dining experience. I originally made a reservation for 2 but last minute we invited our daughter to join us and they were very accommodating. I recommend the Espresso Martini and the Lychee martini they were both equally delicious. The shrimp tempura with a spicy sauce is one of my favorites appetizers, my hubby ordered the New England clam chowder soup, it was well seasoned and delightful. The chef surprised us with the deviled eggs with caviar which were so very good. We ordered the crispy Asian snapper with ginger for 2… wow so delicious. It was so much it could have fed 3. Our waiter CeCe was so very attentive and knowledgeable of the menu which was very refreshing. The General Manager Orran was incredible, watching him with the customers was perfection. We were so stuffed and were going to pass on dessert but in Lure fashion that’s a no no…, besides after a wonderful meal you must complete the dining experience with dessert. We opted to share the cheesecake, it just melted in your mouth, it was light and not overly sweet. The fresh fruit had just enough sweetness to balance the cheesecake which made for a refreshing end to a fabulous dining experience.

Wonderful evening spent at Lure. They have thought of every detail from the presentation of the restaurant (feeling like you are on a boat) to the food and service everything is impeccable. We partook in the restaurant week which is a great deal to try some fine dining. I do think there could have been more flavor in the dishes but it was clear it was made with the freshest ingredients.

M

Excellent. The service was suburb, the food was delicious, and the cocktails were on point. We especially enjoyed the miso salmon and the seared sea bass. The tempura shrimp was delicious- you were able to enjoy the sweet flavor of the shrimp and the fried coating and spicy mayo were perfect compliments—yet didn’t overpower the natural flavor of the shrimp. My only critique, would be regarding the sushi. For this price point, I expected to be wowed. The sushi was good— but not great. However, the excellent service, great ambiance, and wonderful cocktails easily made this a 5 star rating in my opinion.

Y

I visited Lure last Sunday night. The food was exceptional: the bucatini, the cocktails, and the toro sushi were truly outstanding. You can really see the care and quality in every dish. However, the service that night was not at the same level. When I asked for my check, I spent quite some time looking for my server and couldn’t find them. Out of curiosity, I walked into one of their dining rooms and found the servers eating and chatting during work hours while I was still waiting. I expected someone to approach and apologize or at least check on the situation, but that didn’t happen. I even asked for the name of the server that night, and they didn’t provide it, which I found surprising. I would return for the food and drinks because they are excellent, but the service needs improvement, especially in such a well-known and expensive area, where one expects a much more professional level of attention.

Lure Fishbar is an excellent place to enjoy with friends and people you love. I had a delicious dinner and absolutely loved the food. We ordered several appetizers, sushi rolls, and salmon, and everything was incredibly fresh and delicious. We were seated at the sushi bar, which made the experience even better. Wilmer, the sushi chef, was very friendly, and the entire staff, including the manager, was attentive and welcoming. I would definitely come back.

As a Hungarian, it was touching to see Tokaji Aszú on the menu alongside the cheesecake — a subtle nod to home. The food was excellent and perfectly matched our friends’ recommendations. A truly satisfying experience.

I visited Lure Fishbar with my family and we had a fantastic experience. The atmosphere is stylish yet cozy, and the staff were friendly and attentive throughout our visit. The seafood was incredibly fresh and flavorful - especially the fish dishes, which were perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. It’s a wonderful spot for a family dinner in the heart of SoHo. Highly recommend!

Lure Fishbar in SoHo is one of those places that instantly makes you feel like you’ve discovered a true downtown classic. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is buzzy yet comfortable — stylish without trying too hard, and perfect for anything from a casual catch-up to a lively night out. I stopped in recently and had an excellent experience, starting with one of the best espresso martinis I’ve had in the neighborhood. Smooth, perfectly balanced, and not overly sweet, it was the ideal pick-me-up and a great way to kick off the evening. The calamari was just as impressive — light, crispy, and cooked perfectly, with none of that heaviness you sometimes get. It was flavorful, fresh, and clearly made with care, making it hard not to keep reaching for “just one more bite.” Service was friendly and attentive without being intrusive, which really elevated the overall experience. Lure has a way of making you want to linger — whether for another cocktail, dessert, or simply to soak in the energy of SoHo around you. If you’re looking for a reliable spot with great drinks, solid food, and a classic New York vibe, Lure is absolutely worth a visit.

This place has the most amazing atmosphere, food, and service. Think of cool below deck, yacht vibes. We had the pleasure of speaking to John and loved every moment of this experience. Will definitely be coming back.

The sushi here was amazing. One of the best I’ve had, and the spicy tuna crispy rice, deviled eggs, and Hellfire roll were delicious. The inside also had a lovely atmosphere, with the interior made to look like you’re inside of a fancy yacht restaurant. I would definitely come back here.

This place is absolutely wonderful beautifully decorated and incredibly cozy. I felt like I was inside an old luxury ship, and the atmosphere was relaxing and inviting. We ordered the impeccable shrimp tempura, which completely won my heart ,so flavorful and fresh. We also had a few sushi pieces, and each one was perfectly prepared and incredibly fresh. I loved everything!

Food here is great, fresh and made to order, but service is definitely excellent. Wilmer, sushi bar chef is great at customer service and makes you feel at home wether you want to talk or just it he knows how to read the room. I don’t remember our servers name but he was very attentive and on point. Great place.

I really loved it here! I just happen to come across this restaurant and decided to try it out. The ambiance and vibe was amazing, I absolutely loved the service and I was happy that they had a couple of options that a vegan like me can try! I had the cucumber roll and the avocado roll. It was so fresh. I also had a virgin mojito too. I give this restaurant a 10 out of 10. This restaurant gets bonus points from me too because I happen to meet Marlon Wayan while dining here. His energy was very nice and pleasant. I can’t wait to come back and try their other vegan options. Looking forward to it!

I’ve been to this restaurant four times now, and every visit has been outstanding. The seafood is incredibly fresh, the staff is always warm, attentive, and makes you feel welcome from the moment you walk in. On top of that, the décor is beautiful; the space is designed to look like the inside of a boat, which adds to the whole dining experience. This has become one of my favorite spots in SoHo.

Lure has been my go-to spot for years…There is always an upbeat sophisticated vibe, a menu with so many options and a superb staff..The team went above and beyond to make sure our anniversary dinner was 4 ⭐…We were pleasantly surprised when two glasses of champagne and a beautiful appetizer arrived quickly after we were seated…Our waitress Alicia was fantastic, as was the manager Razaki who made sure our experience was fabulous…Everything we ordered was delicious, especially the tuna tacos, spicy tuna rice, and crab cakes. Thank you for another special evening :)

Sunday brunch idea- skip the typical cafes and come here! I love when I can get a lobster roll and sushi. My friends and I got brunch here and what I loved is that Lure offers breakfast foods like omelettes but also sushi, lobster rolls and main dishes. Our waiter was so cute and sweet bringing us crab rolls as compliments from the chef. So far this is one of my top seafood and sushi spots for taste, options, and service. I’ll be back & thanks Lure!

This is one cool place, atmosphere-wise. The decor makes you feel like you're in the captain's personal dining room. So much fun. The staff is very nice and helpful. The food is fresh, good and tasty. They have lots of options and all are interesting. BUT, it's not a great place to eat (judging by the price), most dishes felt ordinary. I would give one advice to diners, if you take the oysters, ask them undressed (no sauces or dressing) just lemon - they over-thought oysters.

I came here to celebrate a friend's birthday, and it was a fantastic choice! The place is spacious and has a unique interior designed to resemble the inside of a ship. Known for its seafood, the food did not disappoint. - Deviled Eggs: Surprisingly good! I don't usually go for deviled eggs, but these were well done. - Salmon Tiradito: Amazing--an absolute must-try! It's topped with jalapeños for a nice, subtle kick. - Tuna Tacos: Good, but not particularly memorable; I could have skipped these. - Branzino St. Tropez: Delicious! A whole fish, perfectly prepared--another must-order. I really enjoyed the ambiance and would definitely return to explore more of the menu.

We came to Lure Fishbar for weekend brunch and I absolutely loved the atmosphere. It has a beautiful decor and feels like you’re on an elegant cruise ship. They seated us in a quiet corner, which was nice. I ordered the Smoked Salmon Benedict ($22+), which came with hash brown potatoes and green salad. Keen to try other seafood dishes next time.

Second time here and managed to get proper dinner reservations. Loved the uni bucatini pasta the most and the piña picante cocktail. Sushi rolls were decent but for some reason they came out a tad bit warm. Staff was highly trained with their attentiveness and efficiency. Overall, always a great spot in SoHo.

Lure Fish Bar in NYC is a seafood haven with some standout dishes and a lively atmosphere. The spicy tuna and crispy rice are undeniably top-notch, delivering a perfect combination of flavors and textures that will leave your taste buds dancing with delight. While the sushi rolls are solid, they may not be the most remarkable aspect of the menu, and some might find them slightly overpriced. However, the quality is still there, and they are a decent choice if you’re in the mood for sushi. On the flip side, the chicken lollipops were a bit disappointing and could be skipped in favor of other menu options that shine brighter. The drinks at Lure Fish Bar are worth mentioning, as they are well-crafted and add to the overall dining experience. Whether you prefer classic cocktails or more inventive concoctions, you’ll find something to suit your taste. The lively atmosphere at Lure Fish Bar creates a vibrant setting for a date night or a fun dinner outing with friends. It’s a great spot to enjoy delicious seafood, sip on refreshing drinks, and soak in the energy of the bustling surroundings. Overall, Lure Fish Bar offers a solid seafood dining experience with some standout dishes. For a lively night out with good food and great drinks, this restaurant makes a solid choice in the heart of NYC.

Highly recommended this place!!! For a dinner date or a quick bite! Beautiful architectures w/ great ambiance just you will fell like descended into main cabin of of a yacht that makes you feel like the whole restaurant is at the sea! Crispy rice w/ tuna is a must to try and their ESPRESSO MARTINI is to go for! Sushi and sashimi was amazing/ so fresh. Very good restaurant for seafood theme. Everything and everyone is amazing. Can’t wait to come back and sit at the raw bar! See you soon Lure Fishbar.

We dined here for restaurant week and came especially for the decor. As an avid cruiser not be able to cruise during the pandemic, the decor of this restaurant brought back memories of being inside a ship. My friend and I enjoyed our meals and lychee lemonades. The only thing- even though it was restaurant week, the portions were on the smaller side. I definitely expected our meals to be a bit bigger as I've had in other restaurants for the same price. I also wanted to shout out our server who was a complete sweetheart. I had mentioned in conversation the I was having an ongoing toothache but was a trooper for coming after rescheduling so many times. She went as far as finding out if they have any tylenol in case I needed it. She kept checking on me asking how I was holding up. Great customer service and refreshing!

High on the Hog brought us here. The food was fantastic - can’t recommend the red snapper enough. The crispy rice sushi wasn’t aesthetically pleasing, but was delicious. The only complaint was that the restaurant was incredibly loud. We ate in silence, because we literally had to shout to hear each other. The decor is great, but sound dampeners definitely need to be fitted.

UPDATED 2024 We came for some oysters and wine since I really liked this place, sadly the service this time was terrible! We ordered a nice bottle of wine, it got opened and poured once and the bottle was placed on a wine cooler away from the table, the server never came around so we had to get up and serve the wine ourselves, not a great experience. The food was still great. *****ORIGINAL REVIEW BELOW***** We originally headed to another restaurant but ended up at The Lure, what a great surprise! The place is nice and elegant inside, our server was so attentive and super friendly. We tried different martinis, my boyfriend particularly loved the Sake Martini. I loved the food, the whole stuffed lobster was amazing! We also had some oysters, tempura tacos and couple of rolls, everything was excellent! (for some reason the pictures of my original post were lost)

Stumbled upon this place in Soho and later made a reservation. As other reviewers have said, this restaurant has a definite nautical feel of the interior of a luxury yacht. Food is fresh. However I do not recommend the sushi. The sushi here is mid at best. Stick with the traditional seafood options. The salmon and snapper are great. The lobster roll was nothing special. I hear the burger here is pretty good and is a carryover from one of their sister restaurants.

We really enjoyed this restaurant. We didn’t have a reservation but were able to get a seat inside. I would recommend to make reservations if you want to dine outside. The inside vibe is cozy and it feels like you’re inside a boat. We ordered the oysters (one of each), the shrimp tempura, clam chowder, crispy rice spicy tuna, stuffed lobster and whole fish. I found the oysters were good, some were on the small side and I wasn’t sure which was which (no one explained which oyster was which, but I guess how would they know) My husband said the clam chowder was ok, hearty, but not amazing. I wasn’t too impressed with the crispy rice spicy tuna. I felt it was missing a bit of flavour. We both really enjoyed the tempura shrimp though. My husband enjoyed the stuffed lobster. It was market price which was $87, which we felt was a really good price considering how meaty the lobster was. I really enjoyed the whole fish. It was enough for one person and there weren’t a lot of bones (which I really appreciated). Deducting a star for service. We felt it was a bit on the slow side but not terrible

Lure Fishbar had been on my list for a while. However, I think it is alright, leaving a bit to be desired. I’ll lead with the pros and minor misses - Pros - Uni bucatini was delectable, creamy, flavorful, the pasta was al dente and the red chilies cut through the richness occasionally so it was so easy to keep enjoying the dish The spicy tuna crispy rice was delicious. I love their little twist on the classic crispy rice that adds to the texture. Cant ever knock a crispy rice but this was definitely a memorable one! Crispy rock shrimp was addicting and crunchy. The batter was light and the shrimp were fresh and great! Minor misses - The seafood tower was a considerable let down. Aside from the shrimp, the oysters and clams were unpleasantly fishy and sandy. The seafood salad was also bland and chewy in a very unpleasant way. Though this is one minor miss, I would anticipate a seafood oriented restaurant to perfect their seafood towers Overall it’s a nice establishment. The interior design is unique and well thought out, mimicking the interior of a boat.

The space is unique, transporting you to the sea with its yacht-like interior. It's quite loud though, so I don't recommend it for a quiet, romantic evening. The hamachi crudo was refreshing. Can't say the bash burger was award-winning in my book, but it was a good burger.

The food was delicious but no way near worth what they’re charging. And I don’t mind paying for quality food, mind you! Service was slow, atmosphere VERY noisy. One of the servers accidentally spilled soy sauce on our table which got on my purse and we were cleaning that on our own. Check comes in and we actually happen to look at it after them charging us and see that we were charged a glass of wine $20 when we don’t even drink, which the server did take off and said will be compensated later since they already charged the card. I don’t really get the hype… we’re huge foodies and for the price they charge, we expected so much more. I wouldn’t come back.

Lure Fishbar delivers a sleek, yacht-like atmosphere and a menu built on familiar seafood staples. The sushi is reliable, the raw bar well stocked, and the service smooth. Still, nothing pushes the envelope: flavors are muted, execution leans safe, and several dishes arrive with more style than depth. It’s a dependable spot for a polished night out, but not a destination for diners seeking innovation.

K
Kit W

I’ll start with the pros - dining environment was awesome! Cons - taco shells were made of fried dough, not to my liking. Seafood platter was good but not overwhelming, the taste of rosemary from mussels escabche was very strong and I personally find it quite unpleasant. Had sushi the night before hence we didn’t order any sushi here, maybe I’ll feel completely different if we had the sushi / hand rolls …

Felt a wee bit run-down like it needed a deep cleaning. Food solid although one entree did not come out until the rest of us were done eating and then came out wrong. Waitress didn't know how to expedite and manage her ticket nor was she trained to check the order prior to service. It's obvious the system they use is that the kitchen serves when ready, but that isn't fine dining. That is for the restaurant's convenience not the patron. Typical "Millennial Service" The Music was too loud for a seafood place. This isn't a hotspot anymore, so you can tone it down and not try so hard and just focus on quality and cleanliness. But sadly that is all too rare in the US where forcing a vibe overrides the fundamentals. Decent if you are in the area. Not a destination location. Had to shower when I got home.

H

Interesting bar in the lower level of the building, inside of shaped like the cabin of a boat. Definitely get the seafood here, and definitely go for the specialty oysters as those are much better than the regular oysters. I particularly like the wasabi one. The steak was too salty, and the arugula salad was a bit weird. The beet salad was good, though, and a lobster always just so-so compared with Luke's lobster roll. The seafood tower was a good mix of different pieces, though a little light on some of the sauce. Uni pasta was great, a bit spicy. Service was really good, at least to start until it became busy. Then it took a while to get any refills on drinks and water other than when they were bringing food to the table.

The service was top notch. The atmosphere is just absolutely adorable. Designed to feel like you are on a boat, the portholes especially were awesome. It felt warm and cozy with the wood tones and plaid chairs. The menu is good. Maybe they are more known for their sushi. We had two of the fish dishes...the Branzina and the halibut. Both really had almost no flavor which was disappointing given their description. The lobster bisque had a Smokey flavor and dare i say it, almost too many big chicks of lobster not mention $24 a bowl. I'd go back because of the inviting atmosphere but i think I'd try the sushi

Well, I decided to have my birthday 🎂 brunch in this place. Let's start from pros. Great ambience. Friendly hosts, very kind and helpful manager Mr. Orion(I might have mispronounced his name, please forgive me if I have), server Miguel was doing good too. When I asked for a piece of desert I received birthday chocolate chip cookies 🍪, not a piece of cake, but counts and I really appreciate that effort! And now cons. Instead of grilled chicken salad, I've got grilled pork salad😅, which I didn't eat at all(pieces of pork). It's still okay, but those multiple, someones(100% not mine😅), fingerprints around my plate was a turn off. Conclusion: helpful and friendly people, good ambience and ok food.

Used to be one of my favorite spots but quality and service have gone WAY downhill over the past few years. When serving the first dish, server spilled the soy sauce bottle all over the table - not a big deal but out of the three people helping them clean up, not one person apologized or addressed the table about it. Crab cake was super dry and flavorless, sushi rice was hard and cold, crudo dish extremely sour, lobster roll was chewy. Bartenders also need training on how to properly make classic cocktails.

Spacious, nice vibes and decor. The oysters were good. Also got the shrimp tempura. It was way too oily and it was overcooked and chewy. Didn’t expect it from a highly rated place. A below average experience.

Great setting, food was average, and the cocktails were really good. The issue I had last night (Aug 26, 2025), was that I ordered 8 oysters and one of them was bad. Not a huge deal as I spit it out and I’m understanding, but I was expecting the restaurant to do something about it. I told the server about it when I asked for some ginger as a palate cleanser to get the bad taste out of my mouth, then the manager came over to apologize. The server and the manager went home since it was late, so I was given another server to close out my tab. Not only did the restaurant neglect to offer to pay for my drink (or anything), but the bad oyster was still on the bill. Problem is that I didn’t notice until after I had paid, and I didn’t want to explain the situation to the new server/manager to get a $4.50 refund. The point is that the first server and/or manager should’ve done something about it right when it was an issue. At the very least taken it off my bill. I’ve worked in restaurants in the last - that’s a big fumble.

Don’t come here. The food is good but the people serving it think they are working at a fast food joint. We were so pressured to eat fast we decided to leave our appetizers partially consumed in the hope that they wouldn’t push us to move on to our entres. Yet they brought our entrees nonetheless and we weren’t ready and one person wasn’t even at the table. We told management we didn’t appreciate the fast and furious approach to dining. I will never eat here again: You shouldn’t either. I’ve eaten here many times over my years in NYC but I’d never return.

I went for lunch and while we walked in their was a strong odor of foul fish. For a seafood restaurant this should have been an indicator that this wasn't going to be a pleasant dining experience. The restaurant wasn't busy and the details of the facade of the restaurant look pleasant but if you look closely it is worn and needs love. Our server seemed to be having an off day an unwelcoming spirit. The food was subpar.

N
Nachi Kamatkar

Terrible experience. The waitress we had did not want to be there it seemed - it was really off putting. Understandable if she was having a hard day, but it was my wife's birthday, and it ruined the mood very quickly. Also, the miso salmon and the lobster were extremely dry. Admittedly, I was having a tough time deciding my entrée and ultimately canceled my original selection and went with the miso salmon. The salmon came out immediately, which was a bit suspicious, as if it was precooked and just warmed up. When asked if the salmon is usually this dry, the waitress jumped to 'You can speak to the manager if you'd like,' which was quite unnecessary. Additionally, even though they knew it was my wife's birthday, there were no celebratory drinks or desserts or birthday wishes. A bit unfortunate. The silver lining were the oysters and sushi, which were pretty good. However, this is New York! Plenty of other places for good sushi and also oysters (that is, we won't be returning).
