Neighborhood delight! This is my go to dinner place for a chill Italian meal. All of the waiters have been here for the past 10+ years and welcome you like family when you come in! The fig gnocchi and chicken martini are my favorites!
Surprisingly good little restaurant with impeccable service, food and atmosphere. Everything we ordered was outstanding, taste, and presentation wise. Highly recommend, I will be back.
The dishes in Luna Rosa were amazing! The staff were very friendly and professional. I did not recall hearing any music, but the atmosphere was already great when we were surrounded with friends and families.
Best lasagne I’ve ever had and the service was great.
I made a reservation here for my friend for his birthday and the service and food was beyond my expectations! They really do take care of you and treat you like family at Luna Rossa❤️
Great Italian restaurant, really enjoyed every course especially the eggplant parmigiana
Super cute and cozy, felt like home . So delicious, homemade pasta, delicious wine and dessert. Love the service and food. Will be back!
Unassuming delicious Italian food! Quaint and perfect for catching up with friends.
What an amazing experience. Hector and Alvero were absolutely wonderful! 10/10 for everything.
Went here for a birthday meal and was blown away by the food and service. The pasta had the perfect texture with a deep seafood flavour that did not rely on msg or salt. The staff was so gracious to accommodate splitting an appetizer and main with zero complaints. Homely and friendly.
The food quality, the timing, and the staff all stood out. The workers excel; greeting customers cheerfully and accommodating requests with smiles. The restaurant balances warmth with proper hygiene. My culinary journey includes trying their entire selection. I genuinely care about this place's prosperity.
Very cozy Italian restaurant! Pasta was great. Wine slightly overpriced, but worth it for the vibe.
awesome cozy neighborhood Italian restaurant! great service great food. highly recommend
This is my new favorite NYC Italian restaurant. It’s incredible hospitality (which goes over and beyond “service”) makes you feel like family. The food is outstanding. And the restaurant has a wonderful and cosy ambience; and is kept spotless.
Pricey but everyone in this neighborhood is a zillionaire anyway and the dishes were all very tasty. The ricotta cheesecake was great
This spot has personality that matches its good food. Employees show genuine kindness and address all situations. Satisfying dishes, better prices than most places and people who work with you. Their menu satisfies with flavor, maintains freshness, and impresses visually. This spot lives up to every promise!
Been coming to this restaurant for 15 years. Have always enjoyed the food. And the atmosphere on the service. Unfortunately they are closing Saturday and moving to a new location. So had to come for one less building before they close. As usual everything was delicious from the fajitas to the queso. Highly recommend any steak dish- the meal is high quality and no chewy weird pieces. The chips and salsa are delicious and not too spicy at all!
Never disappoints. Food is the best and actually something you’d love to enjoy! Freshest around and their grilled meats and fish deserve 5 Stars of their own. We now come w our daughter and her family and my husband and I came here before she was born!
My wife and I stumbled upon this gem by accident. We took a wrong turn and decided to grab a bite. It quickly became our go-to spot. We can’t go a month without returning. The staff is exceptional, with the hostess being the most delightful person I’ve ever met. There’s also a younger gentleman who occasionally hosts and is incredibly friendly. We’ve tried almost every dish on the menu, and every single one is a 5-star experience. We often end up battling over what to order because everything is so delicious. The drinks are equally impressive, ranging from top-notch to downright amazing. They even provide complimentary chips and dips, which are always a hit. The dessert menu is simply one of the best in New York City. This place is my absolute favorite dining destination when I’m in the city.
This a quaint Mexican place that I did enjoy going to. The steak Fajitas was good along with a dark Modelo. Service was great and the vibe was pleasing. Given the weather that evening, most people were seated towards the front and outside to enjoy that less than hot and humid evening. Great place.
A great place in the neighborhood to have dinner with exquisite drinks and desserts. Me and my partner throughly enjoyed our meal here. The food was flavourful. My dragonfruit margarita was spectacular and so aesthetically pleasing. The dessert was top notch and was actually made at our table. A great experience coming here all around.
The best Mexican food outside of Mazatlan. The Sangria was perfection. Great appetizers-nachos & guacamole. But the complimentary chips and salsa verde is so good it should be bottled and sold. Dish one: We had arros con Pollo. The rice was fluffy & flavorful. The chicken was generously distributed in the dish. Not this 1 or 2 strips & a big dry plate of rice. Nope, all the flavors melded together. Dish Two: Lamb Barbacoa tacos. Could have doubled this Dish. Every one at the table grabbed a taco but luckily the other two dishes were generously portioned so there were 3 starving people. Dish 3: Tanque Burritos. Thinly sliced pieces of pork, cooked in what must be the same flavourful green sauce and then wrapped in warm flour tortillas & covered with sauce & cheese. Lots of delicious cheese. We had coffees & dessert as well. I? Was a little drunkie. Maria, our hostess was gracious as always. And our service was impeccable. Sabor!
Cozy restaurant with nice atmosphere and kind service. I tried the gnocchis and they were very tasty.
My favorite pasta dish here is the paccheri with sweet sausage and mushrooms. I also have throroughly enjoy the carbonara, and the calamari with fried shrimp and vegetables is always a great starter. You can't go wrong with any of the desserts either. There was a special once that was a ravioli dish with veal, sage, amaretto, and raisins that my mom is still raving about a year after having it. The only thing I haven't loved here was the riggatoni with eggplant, but only because the menu offers so many other choices that I happen to prefer. I have been here many times and I much prefer this restaurant to the crowded nightmare that is Elios around the corner. The owner here is extremely friendly as well, which is always a nice bonus. It's a long and narrow restaurant but it's very cozy and not at all claustrophobic inside. Great place to have a long lingering meal with friends.
I had the chicken breast with lemon sauce and it was so delicious! I would highly recommend this place even if it’s just to try this dish, it made my taste buds jump!
Solid food. Pasta, burrata, and salmon were great!
Was craving tex mex baddd and being from Texas, that’s a hard craving to satisfy in NYC. Maz Mezcal honestly did not do a bad job, I enjoyed this meal. I got the Enchiladas Combinadas platter which featured three different enchiladas, rice, and refried beans. The chicken and cheese enchiladas were pretty good. Seasoning on the chicken was nice and the red sauce worked well with it. The beef enchilada I thought was just fine and lacked a bit of depth to it. Rice was fine and beans were great. I also got chips and the Salsa Verde on the side which was also okay. I did love the flavor and heat of the salsa but it was very runny and hard to scoop up with the chips. To drink I had a virgin Frozen Blackberry Marg which was refreshing!
This restaurant was absolutely beautiful. By the time i got there barely anyone was inside, so i was able to take beautiful photos. The food was great as well, and when making a mistake it would easily get fixed. Service was on point as the waiters would come and check by. Overall, the indoor experience was much more surprising then how i thought it would look like.
Went in for a solo dinner since I was in the area & hungry. Noticed the menu was overpriced for the area, but I hadn’t seen the portions yet & I had already sat down. The complimentary chips were nice, but my food took a while & when it came out it was lukewarm. That was especially concerning since I orders something called the Sekaloff’s Fiesta which was like a mixed plate of a few things, so I was immediately thinking maybe they put together the extra bits from other dishes. The portion was also small and simple for the price. They basically didn’t season anything and just gave sauces to eat it with. The dish was also overcrowded with random salad bits & that made it messy to eat. On top of that, they didn’t give me a steak knife despite the dish including steak and cutting it with the butter knife was irritating. Took a while to get the bill too, since it seemed like the servers were mostly concerned with the bar area & not paying attention to the area where I was seated.
2.0 star rating 4/27/2021 Winter Beer lives very close to this restaurant and raves about it. So, we decided to meet here for lunch. When we arrived we asked about the outdoor seating if we could take a seat. The staff looked confused so we just took a table outside. When we were seated I asked for a napkin because I wanted to wipe my hands. This was met with confused looks. They dropped the menu on the table and 15 minutes later they arrived with silverware. Again, I asked for a napkin to wipe my hands and didn't get it until almost 30 minutes later. Before we even got a chance to look at the menu, they kept coming by to take our order. Winter Beer got a margarita ($11.50) and I asked if the soda was fountain or canned. They said they would check and let me know. They said they had both and I asked for a can of Coke ($3). We placed our order and that was basically the last we saw of them until we flagged them down. After we ordered maybe 10-15 minutes later, they gave us a bowl of chips and a platter of three sauces. I thought the salsa was delicious. We ordered a plate of nachos to share. Usually, when I order nachos ($9.25), I get huge stack of chips and meat. Basically big enough for a meal. I was disappointed that we got 8 chips with meat and sauce. This was barely enough food and a huge disappointment to me. I don't think I ever seen nachos that looked like this. WB ordered the Enchiladas Verde ($21.95) and they enjoyed it. I got the Arroz Camaron ($27.95) and thought it was okay. I found two pieces of shrimp that was under cooked and had a bit of gray on them. The rice was very salty and tasted like someone just poured a ton of Goya seasoning (Abodo?) on it. The rice with the side of beans tasted a bit better. While consuming our entree, we had asked for another refill on our beverages. I made it very clear I wanted another canned soda. My friend got their beverage within 10 minutes. I had to constantly remind them for my soda. I had to stop eating and was waiting for my beverage because of how salty the rice was. Almost 30 minutes later they bought my soda and of course, it was a fountain soda that had no flavor and was flat. We ordered Tres Leches ($9.50) and Sopaipillas ($10.50) for dessert. I like tres leches cake but this one was disappointing. The cake itself was very dense and hard. The frosting was very overpowering and it felt like this was boxed cake mix with milk poured on it. I had traditional tres leches at quite a few Mexican parties and they were 10,000x better than this. The Sopaipillas were no better. They barely had any taste to them. They were topped with cheap tasting honey (I am looking at you those cloying sweet teddy bear shaped honey jars that are like dirt cheap and taste like it) that was just overpowering. This place was severely lacking with the customer service and the food. The prices do not match the quality and portion size. I will probably never visit again even if I didn't pay for it. I feel like if you never had authentic Mexican food you might enjoy this otherwise, this place will be a disappointment to you.
Inedible. I ordered Tonnarelli Fatti in Casa con Trafila do Bronzo al Cacio e Pepe to go, and it was so bad I spit out the first bite and threw away the entire dish. The flavor was so bad that even the smell was off putting, so I sealed the container shut before putting it in the trash so it wouldn’t stick up my whole place. Also, the regular pasta was a weird texture and not properly cooked. The bread that comes on the side was very good but definitely would never eat here again.
Horrible service! Small portions! The menu is way overpriced! The restaurant wasn’t even busy and the service was still terrible!!!! I had to ask twice for water refills and the servers were so busy talking to each other that they didn’t pay attention to my table and I was one of two tables with customers in the place. Do Not Recommend!!!!!
