Incredible view and atmosphere. Good place to on the sunny days. Food was great, however, the lobster tail served on the shell is not easy to eat. It’s a beautiful presentation but half of the meat is stuck in the shell..there are some other ways to serve with the shell and make it easier to cut. Drinks are good as well. Didn’t have space for the dessert unfortunately, maybe next time.
Went here on Saturday afternoon. I’ve walked by before and heard great things from friends about their drink selections and ceviche so I decided to go for brunch. I got a table right away and was super impressed by the atmosphere , also the view over the Hudson River was spectacular. The staff was extremely friendly and attentive to me the entire time and I felt very welcome there. I asked about some popular menu items and they told me they have a new special - their coconut shrimp ceviche w the most perfect cubed avocados and to dip with, banana plantain chips. It was INCREDIBLE. The best ceviche I’ve had in my life and the presentation was beautiful as well. You will fall in love with it. I started with a Royale espresso martini. Delicious. Their secret is a light chocolate shaving garnish. It took the drink to the next level. Genius. They were still running their brunch menu so I decided to get the eggs Benedict lobster on an English muffin. Perfectly cooked , cheese melted to perfection. Lobster seasoned and buttered perfectly. For dessert l got their chocolate lava cake. Split between two people it makes the perfect bang for your buck dessert. The inside had hot fudge and the presentation was pristine. I was in heaven enjoying it. The best lava cake you’ll find around the city. This was one of the best solo restaurant experiences I have had in a while. Everything was perfect and I will definitely be back next week to try the dinner service.
My boyfriend and I had the absolute pleasure of dining at Mezze on the River for the Moët Dinner Experience, and it was everything and more! From start to finish, the atmosphere was beautiful, the food was exquisite, and the service was unmatched. A very special thank you to our waiter, Santiago, who went above and beyond to make sure our evening was perfect. He was attentive, helpful, and so warm in guiding us through the entire experience. His recommendations were spot on and truly elevated our evening. We also want to give the highest praise to the chef Miguel - every course was perfectly prepared, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. It was one of those rare dinners where every bite leaves you impressed and excited for what’s next. Overall, Mezze on the River exceeded our expectations. Between the stunning views, the amazing Moët pairing, Santiago’s outstanding service, and the chef’s incredible menu, it was a night to remember. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a luxury dining experience that delivers in every way!
Celebrated our wedding anniversary here this weekend and had an awesome time! It’s right next to the Hudson River with a beautiful view of the Statue of Liberty in the distance. We chose to sit out in an “igloo” outdoors which was cool but it was super sunny and windy so it felt both steaming hot and cold at the same time. We had the Moët on the Hudson prefixed brunch meal. All the food was super tasty. The staff were friendly and very efficient. Our server Alejandra gave great recommendations on our food choices and cocktails. Enjoyed a great meal with a great view. Will definitely be frequenting here again in the summer!!
My fiance came across this place via IG and we decided to lock in the 4 course brunch for 2. Every course was on point. I thought we had to choose one of the 3 apps or one of the 2 dishes on the second course but we actually got everything listed on the menu w said course (except entrees course, obv.) I'm not an oyster person but my fiance loved them. I was pleasantly surprised by the chilled spicy cucumber salad, flavor definitely popped. Million layer crispy potato w caviar made me stain my shorts (literally and figuratively.) I opted for the brunch burger w feta fries as I'm a big eater and this was my first meal of the day. Didn't disappoint, nice portion of beef and fries. The crispiness of the salmon entree was PERFECT and made a noticeable difference in how enjoyable it was, a long w the nicely charred asparagus. Drinks were great as well (Summer Fling w 3 different vodkas will keep your day moving nicely) and dessert was a nice assortment of chocolatey rich and fruity refreshment. Top that off w great service from Melanie and I told 5/5 recommended anyone come here for a nice water view meal.
Everything about this place is exceptional — from the warm, welcoming atmosphere to the authentic The service is outstanding: attentive, friendly, and professional without being intrusive. The wine selection is excellent, and the recommendations were spot on. Onion soup and kebab are the best
The place is beautiful. The service was slow but waiters were nice. We were a group of 7 and shared some of the appetizers which were very small for all of us. We all really enjoyed the lobster tacos but they were so tiny. Overall we all found the plates to be on the smaller side, especially for the prices. I had the lobster truffle pasta and although it was delicious, it barely had any lobster. The actual lobster seemed to be just for decoration. Everyone enjoyed their food, except for the burger and crab cakes. It was my birthday dinner and they didn’t do anything special for me which I found a little disappointing.
Mezze on the River is perfectly situated with stunning waterfront views and an amazing atmosphere. While enjoying a night out with friends, the scenery alone makes it worth a visit. We started with the fried calamari, which was perfectly crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and served with a dipping sauce that had just the right amount of flavor. As a main course, we went with the seafood pasta, which did not disappoint. Fresh, well-seasoned, and loaded with shrimp, mussels, and clams. The drink menu is equally as impressive. We tried a couple of their signature cocktails, and each one was balanced and clearly crafted with care. The service was very attentive and the staff made us feel welcome from start to finish. Can’t wait to visit again!
Had dinner here last weekend and it was such a good time. The atmosphere is relaxed but still feels special, and the view honestly makes the whole experience. The food came out quickly and everything we tried was delicious—I’m still thinking about the seafood pasta. Our server was friendly and easygoing, checking in just enough without hovering. Definitely a spot I’d come back to with friends or even for a date night.
I came with my friends the other night to Mezze on the River, and it was such a beautiful experience from start to finish. We arrived just in time to catch the sunset, and the view over the water was absolutely stunning — the perfect setting for a relaxing evening with great company. The weather was perfect, the music created such a nice vibe, and everything just felt peaceful and special. The drinks were delicious, and the food was even better! The Flying Octopus was a totally spectacular experience — so fun and impressive to watch. The pita and dips were amazing too, full of flavor and freshness. Every bite felt like a little Mediterranean escape. What really made the night even better was the staff — everyone was so kind, friendly, and attentive. They made sure we had everything we needed and made us feel truly welcomed. My friends and I left with big smiles, already talking about coming back. Thank you to the Mezze team for such a lovely evening!
My wife and our two boys went there and we enjoyed the experience very much. We booked online the Moet on the Hudson menu. Except the Ribeye steak, which were burnt and has too much charcoal flavor, our other food were all very good. The lobster and the lamb are better than a lot of places. The outdoor igloo was a bit tiny, so I don’t think it is for everyone. Honestly, for us with kids, it is perfectly ok, and kind of fun and private. The staff were all very friendly and genuinely attentive.
From beginning to end, our experience at this restaurant was wonderful. The service was excellent, and the runner who brought our dishes did an amazing job, making sure everything was presented perfectly and with care. The food was outstanding—especially the Amalfi seafood pasta, full of fresh flavors and perfectly prepared. The chicken was another favorite, with a generous portion ideal for sharing amongst three people. Each round of drinks was even better than the last, beautifully made and refreshing. Dessert was the highlight to finish the evening—the chocolate cake was rich, smooth, and simply unforgettable. Paired with the beautiful view and the joy of sharing the moment with friends, it made the evening truly special. We can’t wait to come back soon!
This afternoon I went to Mezze on the River with my girlfriend and her family, and from the very first moment everything felt so special. The host welcomed us warmly and seated us at a table with an amazing view. The service was excellent — they gave us great recommendations based on our preferences, and everything turned out perfect. We even ordered two of the same dishes again because they were that good! The fried calamari, cigars, and drinks were out of this world, each one better than the last. The Amalfi Seafood Pasta completely stole the spotlight — incredible flavor and generous portions that were perfect for sharing — and the steak was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. To end the night on a high note, the desserts were the perfect finishing touch: a delicious chocolate cake and a refreshing lemon ice cream that made the whole evening unforgettable. Thank you to the Mezze staff for making this such a wonderful experience. We’ll definitely be back!
Visited Aug 15, 2025. I loved this place. I felt like I was truly in a Mediterranean country (minus the views of Jersey City). Pictured are: Prix Fixe Lunch - Chilled Spicy Cucumber Salad & Grilled Branzino. I added a dessert - coconut ripieno. Cocktail choice was Pretty In Pink. The service was great and the food was extremely fresh and flavorful. Not a single bit of the meal was disappointing. I would definitely return and will recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves fresh Mediterranean food with a view.
On our first trip to New York with family, we decided to turn one evening into a special dinner outing, pairing business with memory-making. We stayed at the Marriott in Manhattan and took a taxi down to Mezze on the River, using Google Maps to guide us. We reserved a table ahead via the Google app, which made things smooth from the start. We opted to sit close to the waterfront just in time to watch the sun dip behind the skyline and the view was breathtaking. The Hudson gleamed as the light softened, and the whole family was struck by how beautiful the setting was. As for the food, it was outstanding. I ordered a lobster pasta dish where the lobster (shell and all) sat right on the plate, and it was delectable rich, flavorful, and elegant. My wife had the same, and we both could not stop praising every bite. The kids kept it simple and classic with fries and whatever else made them happy, and they enjoyed their meal too small tweaks for comfort, big smiles all around. From what I learned later, Mezze on the River is a Mediterranean-inspired waterfront dining concept in Battery Park City, located at 375 South End Avenue in Manhattan. It features two outdoor terraces as well as an indoor dining room with floor-to-ceiling windows, giving diners sweeping views of the Hudson River. Their menu offers Mediterranean and seafood plates, with signature items like the “Black Squid Ink Truffle Lobster Pasta” among their standout dishes. The restaurant is part of Merchants Hospitality, known for creating beautiful waterfront dining experiences. While parking directly at the restaurant is limited (there is no on-site parking noted), the area is served by taxis, rideshares, and nearby garages. If walking or catching an Uber from Lower Manhattan, it’s a pleasant ride down to Battery Park City. The closest subway access is via lines 1 & E at the World Trade Center, R & W at Cortlandt, or 4 & 5 at Fulton Street, which makes it fairly accessible. Dining at Mezze with the family was more than a meal it was an experience. The mix of creative Mediterranean flavors, the sunset over the water, and the warm, inviting atmosphere all came together. If you’re in New York and looking for dinner with both wow and heart, I can’t recommend Mezze on the River enough.
We had such a great night out at Mezze! Friends recommended it to us since we’re visiting from Boston, and it definitely lived up to the hype. The restaurant has a gorgeous waterfront view, and we were warmly greeted as soon as we arrived. We sat outside at first, but the staff was super accommodating when we asked to move indoors—such a smooth start to the evening. The food was outstanding. The filet mignon was tender and flavorful, and the pasta was just as good. What really stood out, though, was the service. Our server had an awesome sense of humor and such a vibrant personality, which made the whole experience even better. Everyone we interacted with was kind and welcoming. Between the incredible sunset view of the Statue of Liberty, the delicious food, and the great vibes, we fell in love with this spot. We’ll definitely be coming back and are already recommending it to friends.
When we arrived, we were immediately greeted by the manager, Arni, who was incredibly warm and welcoming. I stopped by with my friend, and we were definitely not disappointed. The food was amazing, and Catalina was so sweet, she took the time to explain all the dishes to us, which made the experience even better. These two truly made our visit memorable. The bartender really knew what he was doing, every drink he made was a work of art. The Mediterranean Flame was incredible, and the Ladylike cocktail was just as impressive. I also highly recommend the tuna spoons it was one of my absolute favorites of the night.
I had an amazing time at Mezze on the River with my girlfriend. We stopped by for dinner and got to enjoy the beautiful sunset, it was the perfect setting for a memorable evening. From the moment we arrived, the staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating, which made us feel truly welcomed. The drinks were outstanding, beautifully crafted with flavors that were perfectly balanced. The food was absolutely delicious. I had the Wagyu steak, and it was cooked to perfection, tender, flavorful, and easily one of the best steaks I’ve had in a while. My server, Melanie, was fantastic. She explained the menu thoroughly and recommended the Flying Octopus, which really impressed us and added a fun, memorable twist to our meal. I also want to give a special shoutout to the managers, Alysha and Anthony, for going above and beyond. Their warm hospitality and attention to detail made us feel like family. All in all, it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. I’ll definitely be coming back!
I had such a wonderful time dining at this riverfront spot! Whether you’re seated indoors or out, you get a lovely view of the water, but the outdoor setup in the winter is what truly makes it special. They’ve transformed their outdoor dining area with cozy heated tents, draped in white and blue Christmas lights, creating the most festive and romantic atmosphere. Even in the cold, the outdoor seating is warm and inviting thanks to the heating and thoughtful décor. It’s perfect for a holiday night out with friends, a date, or just a peaceful meal by the water. Their drinks are also top-notch, creative, well-balanced, and beautifully presented. This place really captures the seasonal spirit and is definitely a must-visit if you’re looking to enjoy great food and drinks with a stunning winter river view. I’ll absolutely be back!
We did reservation for 35 people not knowing that it's a small place. So there was a wall between the other half of our guest. It wasn't a private room. We had the staff and other customers walking through our party to get to the outside tables. The staff was nice but having people constantly going through your party wasn't nice. It's a great place for small party, but remember there's no private party room. Now for the good part the food was amazingly good, the appetizers were lamb meatballs, mozzarella in fillo, and crostinis all of it was great. I found that there wasn't enough beef for the entree put out for the amount of guest that we had. The food serving is family style. The desserts were so sinfully delicious. The staff were polite and very attentive to our guest need.
This place has great potential but there’s definitely room for improvement. My girlfriends and I came for the Moët on the Hudson experience. While a few of the dishes were enjoyable, others missed the mark. Our server, Anna, was pleasant, but we felt she could have been a bit warmer and more attentive.
The food is okay not excellent. I had expected it to be a bit more authentic, but I think because it was so eclectic they didn't really nail any of the dishes. All the dishes are sort of interpretations of very Americanized versions of what they should be. Loved the views and we were given a wonderful table overlooking the water (with a mirror on the back wall so the person facing in could also enjoy the views). I wouldn't return for the food but maybe a light snack and a drink to enjoy the vistas.
Lovely restaurant and great people watching from the high-tops near the bar. The food was over the top delicious! Kudos to the kitchen! Dips and Grilled Pita ($26) was creative, tasty and plentiful; Spanakopita ($18) was hot and filled generously; sauteed spinach ($12) and roasted asparagus ($12) fresh and cooked perfectly; Beef Carpaccio ($21) seasoned nicely. Greek Salad ($21) was the highlight of the dishes. Loved the presentation! This all went down well with a bottle of Whispering Angel ($80). Service a little slow but we weren't in a hurry; at times felt more like an inconvenience than an income-producing customer. Staff just didn't seem happy.
My boyfriend and I went here to celebrate our 5yr anniversary. The staff & manager were incredibly kind and gave us excellent service; our server Melanie was very sweet and bubbly which brought a great vibe to our night. The food was pretty good as well but, for me the highlight was the service and atmosphere. The view across the river is very beautiful especially during sunset.
I stopped by Mezze on the River for lunch, but it was a bit disappointing. It was a windy day, so the outdoor tables were covered in small insects and loose leaves, which made eating pretty annoying. They didn’t have any large tables available indoors, so we were stuck outside. The service was okay—staff were polite enough but nothing stood out. We ordered the mimosa tower, and it was honestly a letdown—really watery and not worth trying. The lobster tail and calamari sounded amazing on the menu, but both were kind of bland and not impressive at all. The view of the Hudson River is nice, but the food and experience didn’t really wow me. Probably wouldn’t come back for lunch.
I had a reservation and was immediately seated! The presentation was quite nice, and we had a nice view of the Hudson River. However, where we were seated, there was a big bug problem. Spiders crawling everywhere and flies. It was also next to the back entrance of an apartment, with many people using the gate to enter, disrupting the dining experience. However, the food was amazing (especially the dessert!), and I really enjoyed it! However, I will not be returning until the bug problem is fixed.
Had a splendid afternoon at Mezze on the River, soaking in the beautiful waterfront views from the terrace with my family. We barely made it for Happy Hour, which was just okay—not much to rave about. The food was decent overall. The highlight was definitely the Amalfi Seafood Pasta Al Cartoccio—served in a parchment bag, it was light yet packed with flavor from the mussels, clams, shrimp, and calamari in a garlic white wine sauce. A lovely dish that felt fresh and well-balanced. The Oven Roasted Salmon had a nice crisp on the outside and was moist inside, but it leaned a bit too oily for my taste. The Fried Calamari came with two sauces (rustic tomato and lemon-caper yogurt), but the breading didn’t hold up well and felt greasy. The Crispy Crab Croquettes were fine, though nothing memorable, and the Spanakopita—crispy spinach-feta triangles—was enjoyable, especially with the spicy feta dip. Service was just okay. It felt a bit robotic and lacked warmth or attentiveness. While the food and service didn’t blow me away, the view alone makes it worth a visit—especially if you're looking for a scenic spot to unwind.
We were already seated when the manager came over to tell us we only had 90 minutes to eat. We still finished within that time, but it set a weird tone for what was supposed to be a relaxed dinner. Throughout the meal we had to stop staff from taking our plates while we were still eating, which made it feel like they were rushing us out. We ordered the prix fixe, but the bill came with items charged incorrectly or as add-ons. When we asked for a correction, the updated bill used a random "discount" to balance things and we were told it came out to be "cheaper" for us. But the new bill did not properly recalculate tax and tip because the 20% auto-gratuity was based on the wrong total, we were actually being overcharged by a small amount. I asked for the bill to be rebuilt correctly just to keep the pricing transparent and to also ensure we paid the restaurant what they were owed, but the manager refused and insisted their machine was right and that it is working out in my favor anyways. Once I showed my math, he doubled down with "the machine does the math and we cannot do whatever you want with the calculations." Feeling kinda gaslit and confused I figured it was not substantial enough anyways for the trouble and just wanted to pay and leave. After checking again, I did in fact overpay, even if it was under $2. Not the end of the world, but the way it was handled felt dismissive. For context, our order was: 5 Prefix meals: 5 x $65 = $325 1 Extra Mash Potatoes = $12 Issues: Charged for a tuna spoon we never ordered or received Branzino filet billed at $72 even though the prix fixe menu listed it at $65 Subtotal: $337 Auto Tip: $337 x 20% = $67.40 City Tax: $337 x 8.875% = $29.91 Total Owed: $434.31 Total Paid: $436.96 So yeah it was just a couple of bucks and inconsequential. The manager just handled the situation really poorly from start to finish. On our way out as I was helping my elderly relative through the door, the Manager was trying to rush us out to close it since it was letting in cold air.
