What I appreciated most was the easygoing pace — lively enough to feel energetic, yet calm enough for real conversation. There was no rush, no overwhelming noise, just a relaxed rhythm that made settling in effortless. The menu delivered across the board: vibrant flavors, thoughtful presentation, and dishes that felt carefully prepared rather than routine. Every plate struck that sweet spot where craftsmanship meets approachability. Even better, the pricing felt fair and refreshing — refined without being extravagant, indulgent without the guilt. Its location couldn’t be more convenient. Positioned right in the heart of the city, it’s an ideal middle ground for gatherings, especially when friends are traveling from Uptown and Brooklyn. No one feels like they’re trekking too far, which makes spontaneous meet-ups easy and enjoyable. All in all, it’s the kind of place that makes meeting up feel seamless and memorable at the same time.
We arrived during Christmas week to stay at the Nomo Soho Hotel. Our 1st night, we had dinner at Nomo Kitchen. The restaurant looked exactly like the photos online, trendy and holiday festive. We were taken care of by Leyton. His service that night was exceptional! When we visited the bar during our stay, he made us feel special, like old friends. We ordered The Crosby Pear Brie flatbread and Rigatoni Bolognese, perfectly paired with glasses of Prisoner wine. The flatbread was exceptional with brie, thin slices of pears and fresh herbs. The rigatoni bolognese was amazing! Portions were generous and perfect to share. I would give this a 5 star review, thanks to Leyton! Highly recommend booking your reservation and ask for Leyton during your stay. You will not be disappointed.
We went to Namo Kitchen for brunch with friends, and it was such a great experience. Leyton was an excellent server friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. The food was delicious, perfectly prepared, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. Definitely a spot we’ll be coming back to!
The outside decor and entranceway is appealing and inviting. Inside, its more casual and appears to be used as a flexible space for all types of events when its not a restaurant. We had some late afternoon appetizers and drinks, all were tasty and service was very fast. Outdoor seating is available during the warmer months. Worth a visit if you are in the Howard St area.
NoMo Kitchen is a stunning, modern restaurant tucked inside the NoMo SoHo hotel. The greenhouse-style setting creates a vibrant yet cozy atmosphere that feels both trendy and welcoming. While staying at the hotel, we decided to stop in for lunch and were immediately drawn to the lively vibe. We chose to sit at the bar, and that’s where the experience truly shine, thanks to Javier, the bartender. He was an absolute rock star! Javier’s service was impeccable: quick, attentive, and always a step ahead. He not only made excellent recommendations but also made us feel completely taken care of, elevating our entire meal. Here’s what we enjoyed: Baba Ghanoush – Smooth and flavorful, paired perfectly with crisp raw veggies. Crispy Maitake Mushrooms – Lightly fried to perfection, earthy, and addictive. Hearty Grains – Javier’s personal favorite, and now ours too—fresh, wholesome, and instantly memorable. NoMo Burger – Juicy, flavorful, and a hit at the table. Between the chic ambiance, delicious food, and Javier’s stellar hospitality, NoMo Kitchen delivered the quintessential SoHo dining experience. Highly recommend to both locals and travelers alike, especially if you’re lucky enough to be served by Javier!
The food was beautifully presented and full of flavor! 🌸 The fried rice was tasty, the green curry creamy and rich, and the fresh spring rolls with peanut sauce were perfect. Loved the crispy wontons and refreshing papaya salad too. Cocktails and mocktails were colorful, refreshing, and Instagram-worthy. Definitely a spot worth coming back 🩷 Our server, Greenie, was absolutely wonderful! Very attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal.
I visited this place last Saturday and had an exceptional experience. From the start, the server was very friendly and helpful, which made us feel welcome right away. One thing I really appreciated was that they didn’t rush us at all — my friend and I were able to relax and enjoy our time. The food was absolutely delicious; I ordered the lemon pancakes and a cappuccino, and both were amazing. I would definitely come back and order the same thing again. I highly recommend this place!
The best lemon ricotta pancakes in NYC....award goes to; NoMo Kitchen! This lovely restaurant is the perfect place for a date, girls, guys meet up. You will need to book reservations. The atmosphere is very upbeat. At brunch there was a live DJ, I had mimosas with my lemon ricotta pancakes, with candied pistachios, fresh berries, real maple syrup was heavenly on this cold weather day. Loved my mimosa, and loved that mocktails are an option for patrons that cannot drink alcohol.
Chic SoHo hotel spot—NOMO Kitchen has that stunning greenhouse vibe with chandeliers, plants, and tons of natural light. Food was solid: NoMo Burger juicy and flavorful, spicy chicken wings addictive with great heat, Mediterranean platter fresh and shareable. Brunch hits like lemon ricotta pancakes or French toast are sweet and indulgent. Service was friendly and attentive (good cocktail recs). Atmosphere is gorgeous and photogenic—airy, modern, perfect for a relaxed meal or date, though it gets buzzy when full.
It's my first time dining here for brunch with my friends. I had a great meal at Nomo Soho, enjoying their Breakfast Pizza, NoMo Burger, Ricotta Pancakes, and Chicken Pesto Sandwich. Quality ingredients, great presentation, and top-notch service made for a fantastic dining experience except that the music is a bit too loud inside
Upon arrival, we were greeted enthusiastically by several people. We were seated and enjoyed the ambiance while waiting for our server. Service, unfortunately, was very slow in both drink refills and clearing plates. Food came out quickly by food runners. The food was stellar in some areas but had big misses in other areas. We ordered the appetizer dips and loved the spinach artichoke dip as well as the garlic cheese dip. The hummus was weird. Not enough crudités nor pitas for the amount of dips were provided. We ordered the grilled cheese short rib sandwich and buffalo fried chicken sandwich. The breads for both were very very dry. We don’t eat bread often so it was a disappointment. The fried chicken with the Gorgonzola sauce was delicious but I would recommend skipping the grilled cheese altogether as the dry, flavorless focaccia and peppers detracted significantly from what we were looking for in a grilled cheese. The short rib by itself was spectacular when eaten from a fork. We would not return based on service and the food misses.
Upon arrival, I realised that I had in fact been here before with friends, and the fact that I remembered nothing of the food spoke volumes. From the very entrance, the rather indifferent manner of the hostess did little to raise expectations. Having already committed to being there, our mindset was simply to eat quickly and be on our way. We therefore ordered only two dishes. The hamburger was neither particularly juicy nor unpleasantly dry—it sat somewhere in the middle—while the pesto chicken sandwich was entirely unremarkable. One member of the serving staff did make an effort, greeting us with a polite smile, but the overall ambience was far from inviting. From the rusting fixtures at the entrance, it almost appeared as though the establishment were not truly in operation. While it may glisten under ambient lighting in the evening, by daylight the atmosphere was rather less forgiving: aged ceilings thick with dust, artificial floral arrangements scattered throughout, and chandeliers dulled with years of neglect. It left one wondering how, in such surroundings, food preparation could be approached with any sense of care or hygiene.
The brunch burger was delicious and easily the best part of the meal. Unfortunately, the service did not match the food. Our waiter was inattentive and slow, which took away from the overall experience. With better service, this place would be much better.
I ordered burger and sweet potatoe fries, after over 30min wait for food came extremely cold I ate the burger alone with no bread because the bread was extremely soggy. The fries that they swapped out and stated “just came out” were extremely cold as well. I’m literally going to Harlem right after this to get a “ChopChesse” cause I’m still hungry and this place was a great disappointment.
What a gorgeous place this is, truly stunning! But there is a ton that they need to improve on. Unfortunately the service is extremely slow with the exception of the drinks which came out very fast and were delicious, the food in the other hand was beyond disappointing. We ordered the steak and fries, the steak was ordered medium but was cooked well done and to top it off it was COLD and served with a COLD sauce on top of it too! we suspect that they cooked the steak and then waited for the fries to be ready to then serve it to us which by the time it got us ur was cold and gross. The worst part was the Rigatoni. The first bite I took I knew something was off but I kept eating trying to figure out what was wrong with the dish, the waiter came by and offered some salt which I thought would fix the dish but after the second bite I stopped and decided to wait again for the server to let her know about it which was a mistake because after bring the salt she did not come back to the table. After waiting for a while the food got cold and that’s when I smelled it, the sauce was smelling super SOUR and that was what was wrong with the dish. I called the waiter and told her and she removed the dish from the table and the bill as well, but did not offer anything else or gave us a simple apology. Not that she cooked the food but I was really hungry and it was just a very disappointing experience. Hope they can use this review to better their service in such a beautiful space.
Absolutely disappointment. I’ve never had a restaurant offer a 9:45am reservation for a party over 5 people within 15 minutes of their kitchen closing (10am). When calling on the way to say we were running a little behind they said no worries we will see you soon. No heads up or explanation that upon arrival we would not be seated and the kitchen was already closed. The staff was incredibly rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. Not one employee including the security upon entry to the hotel even cared or gave us the time of day. When told to go to a different entrance of the restaurant we were met by two staff members saying they were closed as our party of 7 stood at their door. Absolutely horrible service, no help, and no offering of any help. I hope this can be corrected for future guest but extremely disappointed with our experience and do not plan to ever go back. Look forward to a response.
The one star is for the ambiance. We came here on Valentines Day absolute WORST experience. I ordered the chicken ciabatta sandwich & my mom ordered the steak & eggs medium well. The steak came out well done tougher than shoe leather & the ciabatta bread on the chicken sandwich was so hard I could have broke my tooth. The food wasn't the issue though it was the waiter and his snarky attitude. When we complained about our food he instantly got upset and walked off. I then asked to speak to the manager who was white with brown hair wearing a blue seat. He offered no alternative & brought be the check saying he removed the items. Who's to say I didn't want to still eat? I definitely won't be back and this establishment needs to retrain on appropriate customer service.
Hands down the worst meal of my life. We ordered the Margarita flatbread and the roast half chicken; let’s just say i’ve had better food at a public school cafeteria. I had one bite of the chicken and actually gagged and had to send it back.
Worst service I have ever experienced. From the moment we arrived, the waiter was rushing us. Less than one hour after placing our order, we were already being pressured to leave. We felt completely unwelcome and uncomfortable. This is unacceptable behavior and totally ruined our experience. I would never recommend this place.
Came here with friends and left pretty disappointed, especially given the premium pricing. We were told we couldn’t be seated until our full party arrived, which is fine in theory but after 15 minutes of waiting at the bar, we were seated only after I went back up to ask again. Poor front-desk coordination from the start. Service was uncomfortable. When I placed orders, the server repeatedly made dismissive faces and reactions. Whether intentional or not, it came off as unprofessional and poorly trained service. Food was the biggest letdown: - White flatbread was cold and stale, as if pre-made and left sitting out. - Chicken and waffles: waffles were fine, but the chicken was cold - Fried potatoes were also cold - Drinks - DO NOT order expresso martini Seems as the plates sat too long before being served For a place charging premium prices, this is unacceptable. To top it off, 18% gratuity was automatically added without any explanation - on a meal and service level that absolutely did not warrant it. Atmosphere didn’t help either: the space was uncomfortably cold, music was overly loud with poor speaker quality, and the sound balance made conversation difficult. Overall: overpriced, poorly executed, and disappointing. There are far better options at this price point.
I just want to start by saying this was one of THE WORST restaurant experiences i’ve ever had in my life! And it was all because our server, Charlyn, was incredibly dismissive and rude. To start, upon arrival we were seated at the “last available table” despite having made a reservation from the day prior. We were not even greeted by a server or anyone else for at least 15 minutes. When someone finally came over we were not asked if we wanted anything to drink and only water was offered. On top of that, when the drink menu was requested, the server condescendingly directed me to the mocktails and soft drinks although that’s not what I asked for. I do have a baby face and I’m often asked for my ID, so when the server asked I thought nothing of it. When she saw my ID, she ok’d it and when to put in the order. However, our food came to the table and my drink had still not arrived. Then the waiter came back and stated that although she previously ok’d the ID, she needed to do another check with the scanner in the back. She returned saying that my ID did not work and refused to serve me the drink I ordered. I explained to her that this was my only form of ID and i never had any problem with it and i could offer other forms of ID to verify. She insisted that she could not serve me so I asked for a manager. The manager never came after we asked multiple times. After the ID debacle, the server did not return to the table once to check on us. We eventually had to call her over for the check as it appeared she had no plans on coming back to the table on her own. When the server came back to collect the singular check for the table and saw we had put one card down, she asked ,”You guys don’t need anymore cards for this?”. Overall, the food was ok and the ambiance seemed nice, but the taste of the food and the experience overall was muted by the dismissive and rude service we received.
