the prix-fixe menu was such a good deal!! there 4 courses and you get very different flavor throughout each course, i so so enjoyed it. i think the bibimbap with oysters at the end with the warm soup was a very filling, warm ending to the whole experience. staffs were the cutest too!!
I visited Odre NYC with my family to celebrate my mother’s birthday, and it was one of those rare meals that stay with you long after the night ends. We had come for the summer menu a few months ago and were so impressed that we decided to return for this special occasion. What moved us the most was the thoughtful gesture at the end of the meal—Odre replaced the final course’s soup with miyeok-guk, the traditional Korean birthday seaweed soup. It was unexpected, deeply considerate, and genuinely touching. What sets Odre apart is its ability to surprise even someone like me, who grew up with Korean cuisine. The menu is consistently fresh, inventive, and remarkably harmonious, offering combinations I would never think of, yet they come together flawlessly. Every course is plated with precision and beauty, but beyond aesthetics, the flavors and textures are balanced at a level that’s rare to find. The seasonal sotbap bibimbap and broth course—which changes throughout the year—remains one of my favorite endings to any tasting menu in New York. The care put into the rice, the depth of flavor, and the comforting warmth of the soup always feel like the perfect conclusion. On this visit, it became even more meaningful with the birthday miyeok-guk. Desserts such as the sweet potato cheesecake and persimmon shaved ice were equally thoughtful and beautifully executed. Every dish felt intentional, refined, and full of quiet confidence. It’s honestly hard to believe Odre hasn’t received a Michelin star yet, given the consistency, creativity, and heart in every part of the experience. This restaurant continues to be one of the most memorable and inspiring places to dine in New York.
Dining at ODRE was one of those experiences that stays with you long after you leave the table. From the first bite to the last, it genuinely felt like I was experiencing Korean cuisine in a way that was both deeply familiar and completely new at the same time. The dishes were undeniably Korean at heart, but each one carried a sense of creativity and refinement that made them feel truly special — not something you can easily find elsewhere. This felt like ODRE’s story of Korean food, not a copy of tradition, but a thoughtful and respectful evolution of it 🌿 What impressed me most was how delicate and precise every flavor was. The seasoning across all dishes was incredibly balanced — nothing too salty, nothing too heavy. Everything tasted clean, fresh, and intentional, making the entire meal feel surprisingly light and comfortable. I never felt overwhelmed, only curious and excited for the next dish ✨ The namul dishes especially stood out. Their flavors were unmistakably Korean — earthy, subtle, and familiar — yet presented in a way that felt elevated and modern. It brought a quiet sense of nostalgia while still feeling fresh and refined, which honestly isn’t easy to pull off. The white wine pairing was another highlight 🍷 The brightness and acidity of the wine complemented the dishes beautifully, enhancing the freshness of the ingredients and the subtle seasoning rather than overpowering them. It felt like the food and wine were in constant conversation with each other. Beyond the food, the atmosphere of the restaurant added so much to the experience. The space feels calm, intimate, and thoughtfully designed, allowing you to slow down and truly focus on what’s in front of you. It’s the kind of place where you naturally end up lingering a little longer, savoring each moment. Overall, ODRE offers more than just a great meal — it offers a unique, one-of-a-kind experience of Korean cuisine in New York. Refined but warm, innovative but respectful, and above all, deeply satisfying. A place I’d happily return to, and one I’d recommend without hesitation 🤍
My husband and I came here for the first time to try their winter pre-fix menu. (it was worth it). I'm so glad we came because the food was delicious and was just on another level compared to what you get to try at normal restaurants. The presentation was beautiful, and the food tasted just as good as it looked! The staff was all super nice and friendly as well, and everything was prepared pretty timely. They really go out of their way to make you feel special and welcome. We HIGHLY recommend the Abalone Mandoo, Citrus Shrimp Naengchae, the Jokpyun, and the Jujube Tea!
Incredible modern take on Korean cuisine. The Abalone Mandoo with caviar sauce was the highlight—pure luxury. We also loved the Kimchi Pie; it’s a creative and delicious twist on pork belly. The Teok Galbi (short rib) was perfectly tender. Highly recommend if you’re looking for refined, high-end Korean flavors!
Odre is one of those rare restaurants that feels effortlessly perfect every time. Over the year since their opening, I’ve tried many of their seasonal menus, and each one is thoughtfully composed, consistently flavorful, and deeply satisfying. As a Korean, I can vouch that they’ve nailed a beautiful twist on traditional, home-style Korean cooking — preserving the essence and culture while elevating it with creativity. They always incorporate unique Korean ingredients that surprises me to see in New York! The service is attentive and genuinely warm, the portions are generous and definitely worth the price (which is so reasonable in NYC to begin with), and the atmosphere is calm, soothing, and inviting. It’s ideal for a date night, a dinner with friends, or a family gathering — every visit feels considered and special. I’ve tried every single of their amazing mocktails and most of their cocktails, and I can say that the beauty of their drink menu is truly such a cherry on top. Odre isn’t just a meal; it’s an experience, and it’s a true gem in the city!
Amazing food, incredibly accommodating for me being gluten-free. Also for such high-quality food, it is hard to find a four course menu for $42. Having elevated food in such a fun atmosphere being affordable is hard to come by in New York City. Thank you to everybody there.
Great hospitality. Perfect combination of the cocktail drink. I couldn't complaints anything when I saw how beautiful it was. Tteok-galbi was the best! Must try! Shout out to Odre team!! Thank you for your guys hospitality!
Had such a great time at Odre! The dishes are super creative; one of my favorites was the odre caesar salad. The combo of chicken and cabbage was such a creative twist, never would’ve thought to put those together like that. We also added the yukgaejang noodle, which was super flavorful, definitely recommend getting that. For dessert, the yakgwa cheesecake was a standout for me. Honestly didn’t expect to be full with just a 3 course menu, but with the add-on and dessert, I left totally satisfied. Big shoutout to the head chef too, the creativity and attention to detail in every dish really stood out. The staff were also super warm and welcoming, which made the experience even better. Highly recommend checking this place out:)
We had such a good time here. Everything was delicious, and the prix-fixe price is unbeatable.
Great value and delicious! Especially loved the shrimp appetizer, seaweed soup, and kiwi dessert!!!
I had an online reservation and everything went super smoothly, the reservation was honored without any issues. The staff was 10/10, super friendly, kind and really helpful. The food came out really fast and it was absolutely amazing. Honestly it was a unique experience and I'd totally recommend this place
Really enjoyed our full experience. Dishes were so comforting. Loved the sweet shrimp dish and rice dish.

GO HERE! NYC HIDDEN GEM! You will find no better Prix Fix menu for the deal you get here. The flavors are wonderful. I hope you have as great of service as we did with Alex! He was AMAZING! So knowledgable, great suggestions and very personable. It is very seldom that you have such a high quality meal in such a relaxed environment! 5 STARS!

Wow! I came here with a friend not knowing anything about the restaurant. Food is FIRE and price is GREAT. I've done plenty of "fine dining" and this hit all the notes of flavor complexity while also being a filling and satisfying meal. Leaving a 5 star- review not only because it was an amazing deal, it was hands down amazing food and better than some $100+ tasting menus I've had. My only request is that the restaurant serve some homemade kimchi. I'm sure they'd kill it. Hats off to the chef and crew! In these economic times, we need spots like this to allow normal people to treat ourselves without breaking the bank. Thanks, ODRE :)
Celebrated our anniversary here, and staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome. One of our most memorable meals (and incredible value to boot). Can't wait to go back!
My girls and I had my birthday dinner here. The summer prixe fixe menu items exceeded my expectations, and the wait staff was helpful and attentive and lovely. We had a great experience, and I would wholly recommend.
Amazing quality prix fixe for only $42! The menu rotates seasonally (I had summer), and the food was Michelin ⭐️ level. Perfect for 2 people to pick two selections per course and try all the options. Loved the amuse bouche, Kong Guk soo, and the branzino the best! Staff also incredibly friendly. Portions are very small (but understanding for the price), I’ll add a couple of additional courses next time!
Odre is absolutely incredible! The food was crazy good—authentic Korean flavors with a modern twist that keeps things exciting. The cuttlefish dish was fantastic, and the rice with the beef shank main was also a must-try. Every dish felt thoughtfully crafted, and the balance between tradition and innovation was spot on. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a memorable dining experience. Will definitely be back!
The cuisine here is genuinely compelling, thoughtful, precise, and rooted in excellent ingredients. Each dish shows intention and technical confidence, paired with refined, elegant presentation. We were celebrating a friend’s birthday, and the experience delivered a sense of gastronomic exhilaration I’ve previously felt only at places like Le Bernardin, Per Se, or Eleven Madison Park. This is not food that tries to impress through excess; it impresses through balance, clarity of flavor, and quiet sophistication. A restaurant that understands what high cuisine truly means.
Great price/deal. Lots of food. We got one of each with our party of 3. Too much food even with prix fixe menu. Was good tasting but some dishes especially first round wasnt a huge fan of. I really only liked the main course and the last rice bowl dish. So there were a lot of hits and misses. I like the atmosphere of the place and service was good/nice but probably wont go back. Something was missing from the taste or quality even though it looked good, not sure what though.
Tasting menu only, we got both the supplements (smoked pork belly & lobster noodles) but the portion sizes were small and not very filling. Food was overall good, the smoked pork belly really stood out. The tasting menu had creative dishes which we really enjoyed!
Came with my wife for prix fixe winter dinner for our anniversary. We had a great time but had mixed reviews on the food. Based on recent reviews, we came in with low expectations and were glad that Odre exceeded our expectations. First, the super positive is the value of the meal and service. I don’t get what people mean when they say they weren’t full after the meal. We did order one extra second course and a dessert, but I was so full at the end. I would’ve been content with just the prix fixe. One recommendation for diners: make sure to share your food cause the courses are generally large enough to share at least a few bites between 2 people. Staff was great and attentive and even surprised us with a candle on our dessert. I’d be ready to give 5 stars but holding off for now. The good: the food was generally good. I would not recommend this place to someone that does not like earthy, exploratory or natural flavors. I think that’s the best way I can describe the flavor profile. The dish that I think everyone would love is the abalone mandu. Second would be the sweet potato cheesecake. It comes with a makgeoli ice cream which was great. Lastly, the kimchi pie, but it’s like an asian pancake/roti type of bread with a bed of assorted greens on top, for peoples awareness. Honorable mention - Lamb: I loved it and it really reminded me of gamja tang (korean potato stew). Unfortunately, this dish didn’t convince my wife to like lamb. The mixed: I could appreciate every course but there were definitely some that my wife and I had significant discussions about. Welcoming: turnip and liver - I loved it. My wife did not. Terrine: we both agreed the texture of it wasn’t the best and the flavor needed a bit of a kick. Guksoo: super concentrated (salty and fishy) - I liked that the flavor was really prominent but could be overpowering for some. Cod: very fragrant, weird but it tasted like cereal to us, like fruit loops or trix lol. Bibimbap and soup were good, just very earthy and natural. Nothing was bad. I would choose to try Odre again during another season as I’m curious what new dishes the chef would produce and in the hopes my wife and I have less mixed takes on the food. If it was the same price point as some other Korean prix fixe / tasting menu places, then I would not go back to Odre.

Really tasty bites served with a high degree of attention to detail. Wine is shockingly affordable at per bottle prices below $60. Atmosphere left a little to be desired as it was very loud inside, not because of music from the establishment, but because of people talking loudly. Service was good.
Solid new spot for Korean food - portion size is smaller given the set menu; didn't love the dessert with persimmon, wasn't bad, just didn't taste like what I expected
This was a 7/10 meal. We tried the Jokpyun, the Citrus Red Shrimp Naengchae as a starter, and honestly both kind of fell flat in favour. For the second course, the guksu was rich but quite one dimensional in taste. Special mention to the Kimchi Tart, which was quite delightful and special and was honestly one of my favourite dishes of the night. The bibimbap and tteokgalbi were alright, and the fish dish was just okay. The sweet potato cheesecake hit hard though.
It’s good. Like it didn’t blow me away, but I do think it’s decent value for $42. For course 1, I think the “soy pine nut milk” tasted like Soylent meets dish soap. But the scallops were decent. For course 2, the tacos were excellent and the lamb was really good. The crab was pretty good. For course 3, the gabli (beef) was excellllennnttt. The fish was really good. The duck was pretty good. The seasonal soup was also quite good. I think this meal would be really elevated if the tasting menu came with dessert. Personally, I’d rather them add $5 to the price and include a small dessert. A meal just isn’t complete without it. We got the cherry cheesecake at the end and it was actually very very good. I’d recommend it. It’s loud inside and hard to hear the server as they explain each dish. Overall, it was good, but I wouldn’t actively recommend it to someone.
I really wanted to like this place! But. Painfully slow service. 40% hit rate on the food, none of which was particularly mind blowing. One of the appetizers tasted like soylent / protein shake. The tomato one was so deeply slimey. The duck was good, not great. The crab tasted like nothing? The ribs were good. Tacos were my fav. The rice + soup was delicious. $50ish per person which is really good for a tasting menu! We were definitely full afterwards. But overall, big disappointment on the food.

Knowing Odre is a Bib Gourmand, it made the experience even more disappointing. The good: The service was genuinely very good from the start—attentive, warm, and professional. That part definitely lived up to the recognition. The bad: The food didn’t quite match the hype for me, though maybe it was just this particular menu. The first radish bite had such an odd taste that I genuinely couldn’t swallow it. I think there’s a difference between effective creativity and creativity for the sake of being creative, and this felt like the latter. Or maybe it was just a bad piece of radish. The starter course was actually the strongest part of the set, but after that, things felt off. I didn’t enjoy the soft beef dish, though the kimchi pancake was good, especially with the spring onion. The mandu didn’t feel worth it—it was good, but it tasted more like lobster and abalone. The caviar also didn’t feel intentional. The second course was where it really lost me. The fish had an overly oceanic taste, almost as if it hadn’t been cleaned properly. All three of us couldn’t have more than one bite. The lamb flavor felt underprepared and was so strong that it was difficult to enjoy, and the beef patty was unexpectedly sweet, which threw off the balance. Overall, the course felt disjointed. The final course was decent but not particularly memorable. The sweet potato cheesecake had potential, but the cinnamon was overpowering for my liking, though my friend seemed to enjoy it. Given its Bib Gourmand status and strong rankings, I expected a more cohesive and refined experience. I understand the menu changes often, so perhaps this was just an off lineup—but this particular visit didn’t reflect the high expectations I had from the guide and the strong word-of-mouth recommendations.
