Amazing views and a wonderful meal! The server was incredibly kind and attentive. I visited during Restaurant Week, and it was such a memorable experience. I was a little worried that the cooked salmon might taste fishy, but it was absolutely delicious. On top of that, we were even treated to a complimentary dessert, which truly made the experience special. I visited as I’m about to graduate from my language school, and it turned into such a wonderful memory. I’d really love to come back one more time before I head home.
Start with the wondrously prepared Beet Salad with Feta! We had Salmon and Bok Choy. Our waiter Victor made us feel so welcome and Janelle, the Hostess, went back to retrieve my bag so my son could finish a crossword! Then Elizabeth came with a delicious dessert! We loved this restaurant and will return soon! Thank you to everyone at ROBERT for a very cool New York City Dining Experience!
First time here and will be back. Stunning views, beautiful modern decor, lovely service and delicious food. Truly a win win. I chose this restaurant because I wanted to see the design and views, the fact that the food was absolutely delicious was an added plus. Burrata with warm pears and pistachios was delicious. Everything on the plate paired well. It is hard to cook a simple dish and make it extraordinary because there are no tricks to hide behind. Robert succeeded in this with the rigatoni dish. So simple but delicious. Sauce had a great depth of flavor and the rigatoni was al dente. The ricotta on top allowed you to add to each bite if you wanted to. I didn’t taste the eggs royale but the person who ordered it liked it very much and would order it again. I thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of this restaurant and will be back to try the dinner options and beautiful nighttime views.
I finally made it to ROBERT! And they did not disappoint! The staff were so accommodating and helpful with the menu and taking pics as we celebrating a special occasion! For apps we had the Honeynut Squash Soup (8/10) it was better than I expected, just wished that the bowl would have been warmer. We also had the Tuna Tartare (7/10), it was good, but I have had better lol! For mains we had the Squid Ink Linguine with Lobster and Kale (7/10) which also includes a spicy lobster sauce! It was great, portion was good. We also had their Fillet Mignon with truffle potato pomme purée and baby carrots (8/10). I loved the potato purée! For drinks we enjoyed the Emma Rose (8/10), it wasn't as sweet as I thought it would be, but I loved it! I ordered the El Dragon Y La Piña (7/10), I enjoyed the refreshing taste and the black pepper with Jalapeno. I also loved their 1910: Vive La Revoluciõn Cognac (which they have unfortunately discontinued, I just so happen to be lucky enough that they had all the ingredients (9/10)! Honestly, I think this one should come back onto the menu! To finish off we had the Molten Chocolate cake with raspberry gelée, hazelnut shortbread, and vanilla ice cream (8/10)! I would definitely come back here again and try out a few other dishes! We came when Central Park was covered in snow right before sunset, so it was beautiful! Again, the staff were amazing, customer service was way up there. Definitely make a reservation if you would like a window seat. It's a great place for a date night, social gathering, or private events. If you prefer lower volume, I'd recommend making an early reservation and book it in advance (seasonally it might vary, Spring and Summer tend to be more popular). I will be back!
Me and the frat boys came here for lunch last week while we were in NYC. What a difference this place is compared to Applebees or the low scale places we usually eat at. We really enjoyed it here a lot! Only bad thing is me and the boys usually like to eat shirtless but it’s too fancy for that here so we had to act civilized and dress like we r some white collar office drones. I can’t remember what we got to eat exactly but it was fancy and delicious. Thankfully we didn’t have to pay for it we put it on the frat credit card that everyone pays into. It was like a $500 bill for 4 of us bros 😂. It was me, Kyle, Matt and Connor who came here together. The service was stellar and everyone was super polite. We got to sit in this long booth. Some weird spider 🕷️ dropped down from the ceiling and stole one of Connor’s French fries. He screamed because he’s a pansy about spiders. We bullied him and laughed. Then Kyle belched like a pig and everyone looked at him awkwardly. We cackled and left lol. Would definitely come again soon!
Went there for lunch, had a reservation for window table.Service was great and the food was amazing. We had the pumpkin soup and the lobster roll(soo good),also salmon and fillet mignon and burger.Cooked to perfection and the view was so nice.Would go back there for sure.Thank you
We had a lovely lunch here. Wonderful Riesling, delicious salad, view of central park: this restaurant hit the spot and was a wonderful addition to our museumvisit. Excellent service and kind welcome upon entering.
We had dinner here on Christmas night, and it was a pricy yet wonderful meal. The staff was proficient, accomodating and the live musical duos were entertaining. All the prix fix menu items were delicious, with the standouts being the hot cider shooters, the foie gras appetizer and the butternut squash risotto entree. The last was truly one of the best dishes we've had of late. Bravo!
I had a truly enjoyable evening at this restaurant celebrating my b day. The atmosphere was incredibly pleasant, with live music that added the perfect touch without ever being too loud. The food was delicious — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. On top of that, the service was excellent. The staff starting with our server Muzo was attentive and friendly. They offered me a wonderful desert for my b day . Overall, it’s a place I would happily return to and highly recommend to anyone.
Perched atop the Museum of Design, this restaurant is a feast for both palate and eye. The menu dazzles with innovative dishes, each plated like a work of art—an artisan presentation that feels almost too beautiful to eat. Yet every bite delivers on flavor, balancing creativity with pure deliciousness. The interior mirrors its setting: artistic, stylish, and inspiring, with design details that make the space feel like an extension of the museum itself. Add in panoramic views that steal the show, and you’ve got a dining experience that’s as breathtaking as it is satisfying. Best of all, the prices remain refreshingly reasonable, making this elevated experience accessible without losing its sense of luxury.
Three of us got together for a special occasion and reserved a table a month in advance. To have the window view, it is definitely needed and totally worth it. We started off the night with a glass of Pinot Grigio and they put bread on the table. Then, salmon tartare with basil puréed, which was absolutely delicious. For dinner, risotto and the French cut chicken. Both were excellent and fresh. Then we were surprised with a dessert for our special occasion, which was Black Forest cake. It was transcendent. Our amazing waiter, Muzo, was very attentive and explained the menu to us. He’s personable and made it an enjoyable evening. The views of the restaurant is incredible. All the staff were helpful the whole evening. I needed bandaids and the hostess got me them right away. There was live music the whole evening and it sounded lovely. I will definitely be returning soon. My next trip to the city, this will be a restaurant to go to again.
What a stellar experience. Came here to celebrate my anniversary and the staff was SO SWEET! Not only did the chef kindly give out light nibbles, but our waiter Sean gave us an amazing anniversary treat. Plus, the food was a 10/10 (ordered the tuna tartare and beet salad). We’re definitely stopping by again soon!
What if I told you that the dinner at Robert was beyond great. It was simply one of the best dinners I've ever had. Let's start with the location at 2 Columbus Circle, to the right is Central Park and to the left is the Time-Warner Center. Robert is on the top floor of the Museum of Arts and Design. Try to reserve a window seat table on the Columbus Circle side of the restaurant. You will enjoy wonderful views while feasting on mouthwatering food. Once you arrive at the restaurant the first thing you will notice is its very attractive decor. The space is wonderfully decorated with lovely pieces of art. In addition, the staff is enormously welcoming and helpful. To start, my two guests and I shared the burrata, lobster roll, garden market greens salad and the jumbo lumb crab cake. All four appetizers were so fresh and delicious and had us looking forward to our main course. I had the ginger salmon which was perfectly cooked and came with this delightful sweet-spicy sauce. I wouldn't mind ordering the ginger salmon on my next trip to the restaurant. As sides I ordered the pommes purée and the yucca fries. Both sides were devoured by the three of us. We finished the meal by sharing the mango panna cotta, hazelnut layer cake and banana pudding. We were given the banana treat by the staff for moving to another table because our 2-hour limit was reached at our window table. The desserts were as delectable as they were colorful. It was truly a marvelous culinary experience and I could not more highly recommend the restaurant.
Robert is one of those rare New York restaurants where the atmosphere, view, and food all come together for a truly memorable experience. Located on the top floor of the Museum of Arts & Design, the restaurant overlooks Columbus Circle and Central Park with breathtaking floor-to-ceiling windows. The ambiance is modern and stylish, with soft music that creates a relaxed yet elegant mood — ideal for a date night or special occasion. While many come here for the views, the food deserves just as much attention. The burger, in particular, was outstanding — juicy, perfectly seasoned, and cooked exactly to order. The beef was rich and flavorful, paired with a fresh, lightly toasted bun that held everything together. Toppings were crisp and balanced, with melted cheese that added the right amount of creaminess. It’s the kind of burger that feels elevated yet still comforting, and it left a lasting impression. Service matched the quality of the setting: attentive, professional, and warm, with staff checking in at the right moments without ever making the meal feel rushed. Robert combines spectacular views with genuinely delicious food — a rare and special combination in NYC that makes it worth visiting again.
Robert is a gem! I always bring friends that are visiting and make their visit even more special. From the table setting, the appetizers, and the main courses, so good! The desserts surprised us with their variety and beautiful presentation. So delicious! The wine list is a standout; they've even won awards for it—shoutouts to Robert's sommelier, Francisco! Not incredible enough, the restaurant has a stunning view of Columbus Circle and Central Park. Robert is my table dinner.
We were having brunch on our last day in the city. We had reservations, and was seated right away. The eggs Benny was exceptional, and fresh fruit was delicious. The service was very attentive, and we were treated very well. They allowed us to store our backpacks at the host station witch allowed us better access to our table. Super happy!
We thoroughly enjoyed the breathtaking view from Robert. The theme colors were somewhat outside the traditional classic style, but they were quite peculiar. All dishes were of excellent quality and delicious. The complimentary appetizer and dessert were much appreciated. The service was exceptionally courteous and pleasant as well.
This is an exquisite, beautiful and superior place. The personnel is friendly, supportive and kind. Food was absolutely stunning. And do not forget about the views! And I would like to thank Sean for an outstanding service. It is due to the people like Sean you feel elevated and welcomed when you are served!
WOW. What else is there to say about the absolute best dining experience? We celebrated our anniversary here and it did not disappoint. It was easy to get to, the views of Central Park were breathtaking, the food was the absolute best, the prices were great for the level of service and atmosphere provided... We just had the best time. It was awesome watching the sunset over a romantic meal in NYC with a pianist playing lovely music. His musicianship doesn't go unnoticed. High quality for the price. Highly recommend reservations in advance, especially when you want to sit next to the window. I will recommend this restaurant to the ends of the earth.

My wife took me to Robert at the Museum of Arts and Design for my birthday. Dinner includes complimentary museum admission, which is a nice perk. Service was slow, though we were seated quickly. We ordered the Wagyu burger, salmon, and butternut squash soup. The salmon and soup were excellent, but the Wagyu burger was just average. The meal was reasonably priced at about $170 for two with tip, and we did not order drinks. The views are great and elevate the experience. Dessert included a lava cake and small pudding cakes—the lava cake was good, the pudding cakes were forgettable. Overall, I’d rate it a 7/10. Worth experiencing once for the setting, but I would not return.
Great experience at Robert! Me and my friends got the pre-fix brunch. The price was totally reasonable for the portions. I wasn’t even able to finish my main course. However, chicken was a bit under seasoned and dry. But the dessert was amazing. Needless to mentioned the outstanding view and atmosphere. Very elegant restaurant, that offers coat check as well. Service was great.

This restaurant is meaningful to us, as it’s where we first met, so we visited for our wedding anniversar. Despite reserving early and requesting a nice table, the seating was disappointing 🙏 The food and service felt rushed, and we didn’t feel especially welcomed. Sadly, this experience makes it hard to recommend the restaurant.
