I came here specifically for the corn latte, and it didn’t disappoint. The barista torched a little piece of corn on top which absolutely adorable. It was so good that I might have finished it in about two sips… not sure if it was too delicious or if I just have no self-control… Either way highly recommend!
I’ve been wanting to try their chicken sandwich. But when we went, they didn’t have anymore for that day so we ordered the shrimp sandwich. They initially forgot this order and we were waiting for it after we finished everything else - the owner eventually noticed and asked us what was wrong and we told him that we were still waiting for the shrimp sandwich. Honestly, he replied they were starting on it now and apologized for the wait. 5/5 for honesty! I feel like other restaurants would have made a big deal or lied and said it’ll be out in a minute. To make up for the wait, the owner, who is very kind when you talk to him btw, added extra shrimp and avocado to our order. A nice gesture! The shrimp sandwich itself was delicious! Perfectly fried shrimp with kimchi ranch and paired well with the avocado and arugula. The honey garlic chips that came with it were also a favorite for us. In addition, we ordered the KBBQ party toast. When it came out, we were amazed by the vibrant colors and the overall presentation of it. It looked beautiful! Everything about it was perfect including the taste of the spicy balsamic paired with the bacon and pickled slaw. For a drink, I got the Sweet corn latte, mainly because it was made with oat milk and coconut cream- perfect for all the lactose intolerant peeps! The first sips were pretty good, you get a lot of sweet corn taste and it even comes topped with a bit of corn for visuals. Then after that, it becomes underwhelming and loses the sweet corn taste. It was great to try though. I’d probably order the Flat Purple next time. Overall, a good experience - especially if you’re seated in the back where it’s a little cozier and much more quiet/private. Food is delicious, owner is kind, and a good spot to catch up with friends.
Simple, yet diverse menu leaves you with options on what kind of meal you want! I have to go back to try the Truffle Toast, they unfortunately ran out while I was there. Ended up with a simple plate of greens, scrambled eggs (perfect texture), avocado, sourdough, and a generous portion of smoked salmon. Meal was straightforward and delicious, I enjoyed it in their back room that features mood lighting and extremely comfy chairs. The bathroom. They have one of those high end heated toilet seats with an adjustable bidet. 10/10 bathroom experience.
July 8, 2024 - 1 saw this so much on instagram I knew I had to go. Definitely didn't disappoint. The owner (I think) he was so friendly and nice. We chatted with him for a bit. It was actually close to closing time and he offered to keep the table and chairs outside until we were finished. But we decided to walk around. Very nice of him to offer it though. The space is quite small. I didn't get to check the back area. My friend and I ordered the Sweet Corn Latte, it was creamy and delicious. A bit expensive, would I order it again? Maybe. I'll see when I visit NYC next time. I'll definitely try some food.
My absolute favorite place to eat when I visit New York! Every dish is amazing and lived up to the photos. My friends and I loved everything we tried. Even the chips are amplified in taste with a honey glaze dressing. My go-to is the party toast. Although it’s bacon, it tastes light and refreshing with the pickled cabbage. The atmosphere both indoors and outdoors reinforces your vacation. The drinks are delicious as well. I enjoy the homemade strawberry milk. And the owners are absolutely kind people!! The service is the best I’ve experienced. A must try!!
I came here with my dog for a BTS cup sleeve event (see photos). Clean and friendly establishment. The server was nice but she got my drink order wrong. I ordered honey ginger tea and she accidentally made me honey citron tea. I still enjoyed the drink, which was light, sweet and refreshing. This is why I’m keeping the experience at 5 stars. They even gave me a dog water bowl for my pet. One thing I will say is that the prices are pretty steep. All in all, I recommend.
Such an amazing find ! The tiny cozy coffeeshop offers interesting variety of coffee drinks and food. I took the matte black latte and absolutely loved. I was disappointed when I saw it was a cold drink but it tasted so good that I didn’t mind it was not a hot brew. Since I already had lunch before I didn’t get the chance to try any of their food but it looked very colorful, Fresh and delicious (judging by the look only). There’s a very cozy indoor seating and also outdoor seating in the back. Loved it!
Unassuming at first glance because the seating isn’t visible upon entry (super narrow entrance). It’s a super cute place! Not cheap but a nice treat! You just try the avocado toast & the ube cake 🍰 So light and I am not even a marmalade fan 🍊 but this combination is amazing! Cute Terrance in the back!
Round K is a smaller coffee/cafe area serving various eats and coffees within the outskirts of the Chinatown area. The staff are friendly, can be a bit slow to service depending on how busy the establishment is but they do make sure you are taken care of. Unfortunately the outside garden was not able to be seated in, but it looks nice and would be a good place to stay. The food was alright. We got a sweet corn latte, which didn't really taste like anything sweet corn, just a regular latte with sweet corn on top. I don't know if that's how it was supposed to be served, but it didn't really stand out. The truffle fries were good, and had a nice flavor of truffle oil on it. We thought the popcorn chicken was gonna be closer to Taiwanese style, but instead came out with chili oil and closer to a Japanese spicy mayo on it. It was good and the chicken pieces were big, but the price was a tad expensive. Not much seating on the inside (only about 3 tables and a countertop area) so wait times might take a bit.
Finally had the chance to visit this spot, and I’m so glad we did. Stopped by for a quick bite, and the food and drinks didn’t disappoint—everything was delicious. The service was top-notch. We even got to meet the owner, who was really friendly. The patio was a nice touch, and both the place and the bathroom were spotless. Plus, they have heated toilet seat! Definitely planning to return soon.
This review is for their brunch I came here with a group of 4 without a reservation (not sure if they take any?) The space is VERY small. They only have about 4-5 tables of 2 inside and 1 or 2 tables outside. the interior seating is also more suited for the cocktail bar portion of their day so it was a bit awkward to sit for brunch. Their food menu is Korean inspired which I love. We wanted to get the pork belly but they were unfortunately out :( We got 2 of the chicken sandwich and 2 of the shrimp sandwich. Everyone at the table loved the sandwiches. The chicken was perfectly fried and tender. The shrimps are massive! The bun is also soft and pillowy. Overall, a great experience. I definitely want to go again for their evening service and see how it is. But definitely not with a party larger than 4
No hate on the current cafe- small, quiet and coffee was good- But all the photos on Google are old and out of date. There is no longer ANY outside seating. They don’t do any of the specialty drinks on the menu posted here on Google and the only food is pastries brought in, which is fine! The owner should update the info so the poor people working there don’t have to explain that to everyone coming in.
To quote one of my favorite movies Jackie Brown, “man what happened to you…. You used to be beautiful”. This place is a shell of its former self. It was nice to look at, interesting drinks and amazing vibe. It has none of that anymore. The latte I ordered turned out to be ok but if you’ve been to the old, cool version of this spot, either don’t come or set your bar way low.
I GOT CATFISHED! Only after coming did and being super disappointed did I realize that this place is not the same as the one in the pictures and videos. NO, they don't have the corn latte or any of the other signature drinks. They only serve regular coffee and some treats. Pros: The coffee was delicious and crafted well. I decided to stay and get one and luckily it didn't disappoint. Sadly, everything else did. Cons: Literally everything else. The place looks like a dump with odd and ends and old furniture as decor. May it's trying to go for abandoned garage vibes and if so they nailed it. The music was in fact nice and service was great actually. I'm really just mad about being catfished. The owner needs to update the Google maps profile.
As you can imagine we ordered two popular drinks sweet corn latte and flat purple… I mean it was okay. Would I pay $10 for this again? Most likely “no”. Unfortunately, our experience was not great. First of like any other small places ventilation system is not great had to sit there with oil smell. They have a small seating section in the back but once one group of ppl are talking you can’t really have a conversation cause it is small closed place. Would be great for one big group. Two people were working one was nice enough but not much of personality which it doesn’t matter as long as I can get what I ordered, the other one had some attitude. Think she’s working for the another lady who I mentioned earlier. First when we asked to sit on a bar due to noise in the back she gave us this weird look, then we are having a conversation and she thought we are talking bad about her? I guess? She rudely turned around and rebuttal absolutely nothing… but that’s just not happy ppl attitude so I can let that go. The main reason why I’m writing this review. please this place was GROSS! I’m glad I didn’t ordered any food. They need major hygiene check up on their kitchen. The small fryer that looks like it’s been used over 100 yrs with disgusting residue of previous millions of fries still caked in. YUCK! Most of their food is heated up in an air fryer. Trying to keep their food moist, they spray water before it goes into the fryer. Now their hummus container with old dried hummus remains on container all around. Seriously GROSS. I don’t wish anyone bad things but this place needs health inspection!!! Don’t go if you don’t want to be sick.
